Intro

During a dark and stormy night, the crack of thunder rattled the windows and spark of lightning illuminated the sky. Only other source of light came from a television that had the volume turned down to a mere whisper. 'Cars' was what played on the small screen. Upon the couch across from the electronic, a large mound of unrecognizable fur seemed to be in a deep slumber. The shifting illumination caused the color of movie didn't help pick out the coloration of fur. After one particularly loud thunderclap, the electricity to the whole building went out. A thud upon the wooden floors also ran through the air. "Oh my... that scared the heck out of me! Doesn't help my ass is sore now as well." A flash from outside lit the lounge enough so the one previously on the couch was able to stand without problems of bumping into anything. Growls and sounds of faint collisions filled the perpetually dark room. "Damn it! Where is it already?" A light flickered to life directly into the face of the soul occupant of the living room. Eyes shut tightly as revealed the dark brown fur with a few black patches of a bear. His head shook quickly in attempt to clear the blindness from sight. Beam of illumination moved about the room slowly. The television was black along with the cable box which normally displayed time. There was also revealed to be a chair, coat rack, and potted plant which were all knocked over during the fumbling.

The bear fixed the stuff which was out of place. The front door was opened to peer down at other houses on the street. A paw scratches along the back of neck out of confusion. "Now that is a bit freaky. If that bolt hit a power line all the places around would be out. Yet just ours is." Door was closed before became to wet from the down pour outside. Footpaws moved along the cool floorboards heading down a hallway. "Did you get home when I was out cold?" He asked as opened a door. Light flashed from lightning as beam also illuminated a large bedroom. Dressers were against one wall opposite the windows. A king size bed didn't even consume half the floor space. It was covered in a royal blue sheet which had not been touched yet since still made. "Hmmm... Guess not back yet." Flashlight shone down on the watch on wrist displaying the time being 12:28 AM. A low rumbling chuckle broke the sound of pattering of raindrops upon the roof. It was then the bear had realized still in nothing but fur. Paw reached and closed the door to the room only to head over toward a thick wooden door near the kitchen. The single beam of lamination shone down a dark and old set of stairs. The eerie still of musky darkness beckoned only for brave to wander down. Right footpaw moved to top step which creaked loudly without even full weight upon it. "Why.. Oh why does it have to be a rickety set of steps?" The bear then laughs heartily while carefully making further down the stairs.

He made it all the way to the basement floor without any trouble. That is, except nearly collapsing down the flight of steps as a soundly loud crack of thunder. Circular ring of light lit the concrete floor path on way to fuse box. Each step of footpaws resounded with light clicking from claws hitting hard floor. The bear halted suddenly with rounded ears swiveling some. The silence encircled him only to add to the itching feeling of something being wrong. Fur along back of neck was sticking up some only to continue a bit quicker to the fuse box. A growl pierced the silence as free paw grabbed the lock of the box. "I forgot all about that!" The bear flung around and wanted to punch something even though quickly controlled the anger. Eyes shut to think where the keys were last placed for the lock. It was then, an ear swiveled to the door of a side room of the basement. Brow raised quickly as thought heard a sound coming from within. A silent gulp was made as gazed over at the door. Footpaws moved very slowly and precisely to make as little sound as possible with claws tapping concrete. The flashlight was angled away from framework of door that light wouldn't give away exact location. Paw grasped around the knob to very slowly turn it open. His eyes shut loosely to breathe silently a few times while mentally counting to three. The door was pulled open swiftly and light shined directly through center of the framework.

A face was instantly lit from the flashlight. A black leather mask that had a few tubes extending down toward chest covered it almost fully. The eyes closed tightly as that one grumbled. A large black leather glad arm moved trying to block the illumination. A thick tub also ran out of both lower and upper arm toward chest as well. The door was slammed shut as the one in room was still dealing with being temporarily blinded. The bear locked the door lucky to have lock on the outside. He backed up roughly five steps before slumping onto the concrete to sit. Heart was beating a mile a minute from the shock and horror of spotting whatever was in the small room. Chest rose and fell at a extremely rapid pace. Door was being pounded on from the inside and rattled upon its hinges. A loud grumbling growl was coming from other side of the door. Tune of a cell phone rang inside the locked room. His ears perked up hearing the faintly familiar ring tone. Very low muttering came from beyond the door. This caused his curiosity to perk. He moved close to the door to try to over hear what occurred on other side. 'This was the worst time you could call. I was in middle of something.' The almost whisper voice said into the phone. A smile started to form on the muzzle of the bear. Lock was silently undone to try to sneak the door open as the one inside was preoccupied on the cell. Flashlight was flipped off when creaking the door open as silent as possible. 'Let me call you back once I'm done. Or how about when it's morning instead?' The bear, thanks to the light of the phone and absent of mask, noticed the white and black fur. 'I said I can't talk right now.' He snuck through the door up behind to hear the voice on other end of the cell. Paw grabbed the cell from the other which had hidden in the small room. "That's right Heyoka. He can't talk right now." That caused the leather clad one to leap forward and nearly topple over a box on the floor. He chuckled softly from the comment over the phone then closed it. The room once more bathed in darkness.

Faint yellow started to glow from the nearly downed form. The tubes had started to become iridescent very similar to the glow sticks. The yellow aura was enough to give the full outline of the garbed form of a panda. "Don't sneak up on me like that! You nearly gave me a heart attack then Ty!" The left black leather garbed paw was resting on chest rising and falling deeply. His eyes closed slowly in attempt to calm self down. Ty placed a paw on the panda's shoulder and pats a few times while replying. "Yet who was trying to scare the life out of whom at first?" A smile formed on the darker furred muzzle. The cell phone was held out to taken back. "Yet, I'm starting to wonder why you are wearing something for Halloween so early Kody."

The panda glanced around slowly seemingly trying to avoid the question at first. "These things do need to be tried on ahead of time to make sure fit properly. So first thought was to test out on the one I love." Glowing yellow tube arms wrap around the dark furred bear. "Plus when I came in I saw you asleep on the couch. You know how I have to find a interesting way to wake you from time to time." Both smiled in the near dark room. The faint glow encased them as if own bodies were expelling the shine just by being together. Ty finally spoke up after the minutes seemed to tick by within the hug. "I'm guessing you have the key to the fuse box to reset it." The panda's expression actually altered to that of confusion. "Locked? I actually left it unlocked. It has been since the keys went missing." Expression upon the grizzly/black bear's face slowly altered now as well. It became one of confusion and some horror. Both looked over toward the door that remained open toward the fuse box which at the time was in darkness. "So, there is another in the house. The question is who." It was said in a low whisper by one as other continued on. "And where in the house are they?" Silence encased the basement for a while as the pair attempted to pick out some sound with ears.

Gentle glow from the side basement storage style room barely pushed the pitch-blackness away. Within the faint yellow, the hugging bears stood silent for minutes on end. Kody, the panda garbed in a black leather nearly fully body suit with glow tubes along arms and neck that lead to a chest symbol, broke away from the hug and flexed a bit. He growled low while speaking low. "I am Bane. The darkness does not scare me." The dark brown and black furred bear laughed softly. "You wish, my teddy bear." Ty, the darker bear in the room, moved slowly past the panda to peer out from the open door into the main portion of the dark basement. The flashlight had with him was flipped on to shine around in search of what might be hidden in the shadows. "Lets try to stop the joking most of the time. We do need to find the key and don't even know who else is in the house." A black covered paw reached around from behind Ty. Fingers rubbed over the lowest portion of abdomen barely above his groin. "I know you'd love to spend time in this situation. We can always cut the power another time." Head turned back to stare into the panda's face right over a shoulder that was smirking. An affectionate kiss was planted right upon the lips.

Leather covered fingers shifted lower slowly to caress against the dark furred sheath. Duo pair of lips remained firmly pressed together. Kody broke the kiss eventually and spoke softly. "Can't I get a few minutes to get you at least into a pant?" Leather fingers rubs gradually harder against the sensitive encasement. The bear in just dark fur leaned back into the glow tube covered panda as eyes slowly shut. Digits toyed along the engorging sheath until a glint of pink began to press from the end. Ty growled very low with ears folding partially atop head. Black gloves very slowly shifted up until paw rested upon stomach. "Just want I wanted to hear. That is until later."

A few minutes later, the pair of bears had transverse the staircase cautiously to make limited noise. The beam from the hand held light traveled around the kitchen slowly. Kody just moved through the door leading to the basement with an accidental bang. Ty jumped a bit to turn toward the panda just as he rubbed back of neck for the semi-loud noise. The eerie glow coming from the costume worn by Kody set portion of the room in faint yellow. A strike of lightning illuminated the table near the couch. That sudden amount of sight revealed a folded portion of paper. "That was not there before. At least don't remember it." Ty spoke very low as foot paws shifted along the wooden floor. He lifted the paper off the furniture to read it. "Might want to read it." The scrap held toward the panda to head over and read. A black ear flicked after having scanned the note. "Does this mean what I think it does?" Kody asked in a low yet almost scared tune.

Slip of paper slid free from leather-covered fingers. It soundlessly bounced on the wood. Both bears peered across to the other. The letters were a very dark color. Lack of light however had caused it to be unreadable as remained on the floor. Sound of a sudden door slamming that followed a crack of thunder caused both bears to jump. Eyes staring in the direction of that slam.
