Day-Jah-Voo...

Tonight, I fight an old feeling

Long left to disappear, I blink uneasy as I think, I know it's growing near

Slipping into my hesitations, it moves, turning all to ice, frozen again till I give it my all

Eyes heavy, shadows begin whispering once more as I feel my reassurance begin to fall

No net, no helping hand...

I feel the ground leave me, as I forget how to stand...

Below a burning sensation, I feel frost bitten once more, from personal hesitation

Old memories decayed find me struggling to move forward, to break free

Clearer, they all show an old mirror, reminding me again, "that" was once me...

I'm sorry long overdone, from my eyes, I feel tears begin to run...

Out of options, I look long into the moments that grew cold...

Seconds each an eternity again, I make motions as I continue to grow old..

To hell & back, I sweat as I see the earth nearing...

Waiting at this end, is all my worries, hungry, each in place of certain times I was fearing...

Till the breeze slows, & I realize what is to be...

I hover above it all, reminding myself there's still time...I'm still me...

Eyes open, everything dark as the door closes lightly in my head...

I remember, it's all a thought, a different time, for now, I'm still in bed...

"Peace needing me again, I drift into it slow & steady...

Never guaranteed, long as I breathe, I'll try to be ready..."
