VOLTRONWhispers From the Void

Chapter 1

(Project Oracle)

Written by Leo_Todrius and Sabin

On a distant, ice covered world a team of researchers gazes up at a rare phenomena, and eavesdrops on other dimensions and realities, hoping to learn anything that might help them in their own, but when one of the fragments makes land fall, elements of another world begin to bleed through, changing everything...

VOLTRON Whispers From the Void Chapter 1 Written by Leo_Todrius and Sabin

An icy wind blew across the tundra, steadfast... but there were no loose particles to blow. The ice was hard packed, leaving the plains smooth. The twilight of summer light painted the sky in violet hues, but thousands of stars still were strong enough to pierce through the veil, fighting back even the faunt green and blue aurora dancing in the sky. It was a lonely, beautiful view... a view unlike any other world. And it was about to get better.

The aurora started to shift, dancing more erratically, as if it knew something was coming. Then came faint azure flashes far in the sky, popping in and out... then came the sonic boom as fragments started hitting the atmosphere. Smaller pieces started to skid across the protective bubble of the planet, but then disappeared entirely, reappearing beneath the stratosphere where they came crashing down, impacting the icy glaciers - but this was only the prelude.

A much deeper, resonating thunderous pop came as a much larger piece of comet appeared out of nowhere, striking the atmosphere and skidding across, the friction heating its surface. A vast trail of blue energy swirled out behind the mass, filling the sky with energy. It was a most unique phenomenon, and an even more unique energy. It was an energy strong enough to bridge universes, realities, dimensions. It was a trans-dimensional meteor shower, one that the planet passed through once every eight years. But this time someone was there.

As the smaller fragments snapped in and out of the local dimension, they left behind miniature vortexes, windows to other realities. Nestled beneath the ice far below was a network of receivers, a honeycomb of data collection devices. They started flashing beneath the ice with bright teal light as the data was collected and relayed. Terabytes a second, then a burst worth petabytes at a time, all relayed down the network and relayed to the hexagonal base anchored in the tundra.

Standing under the eaves of the base, a figure stood shrouded in a fur lined hood and polarized yellow goggles, taking in the natural splendor for himself. He reached up and lifted his goggles, his brown eyes watering as the cold air blasted against them. He looked for as long as he could stand before he finally lowered the goggles back into place.

The wind beat at his coat, trying to cut through it... but it was a good garment. Even five hours in, it was still keeping him warm. The scout grabbed a rifle from his side and lifted it up, looking through the scope. He studied the sensor web beneath the ice, then he panned across the horizon. No threats, no deformities, nothing.

Another shuddering pop echoed high above head as a huge fragment appeared in their reality for a few seconds before disappearing again, skidding into another dimension. It was unbelievable. The scout looked up, sensing movement at the far edge of the complex. His watch beeped, a friendly fire signal. It was his replacement. The scout gave a salute, looking out across the tundra one last time, and then made his way to re-enter the base.

The airlocks cycled slowly for being on a planet with breathable atmosphere, but part of that was a comfort. At least no one could come charging in. As the scout stepped out of the airlock and into the warmth inside, he was inundated with new sensory information. The computer terminals were chirping, trying to consolidate the data coming through from the comets, trying to make sense out of the chaos.

Several different stations showed a grid of fragmented data being reconstructed bit by excruciating bit. Scientists were running from station to station while others poured over every zero and one that was being collected from the heavens. The scout lowered his hood, revealing a shag of brownish-black hair. He had faint stubble that ringed his mouth and followed his jaw bone. As the scout lifted his goggles up to rest on his forehead, his brown eyes surveyed the frenzied state of those around him.

"We got the coda to universe 311B! I'm starting compilation!" One scientist eagerly said.

"Aww man, I'm just getting commercials from 214A. Some sort of lens based cookie?" Another murmured. The scout gave a faint smile, one of the few he offered. After months of hard work, it was good to see everyone so excited, and they had plenty to get excited over. The comet was affording the scientists a chance to get snapshots of other universes, other realities all laid on top of one another. They were picking up transmissions and data streams from dimensions where history had unfolded in completely different ways, and some where history was eerily close.

Most of the scientists were focused on the academic pursuits, but there was an underlying tension, something that had been bubbling since the last burst eight years prior - the Galra empire was getting closer. It seemed that they were luckier than some. The Galra were a threat, of course, but in other dimensions they had conquered nearly the entire galaxy rather than a quarter of it... but they were still out there, still coming.

Some of the scientists were banking on reverse engineering a pioneering development from another dimension, a super weapon called Voltron. It was a pipe dream without hard facts, and they had to pray their snapshots gave them enough clues on how to do it. Until then, it was just another story eavesdropped from the cosmos.

"How's it look out there, Zeke?" One of the younger scientists asked the scout. He looked little more than sixteen, thought he mission required all members to be eighteen. His sand blond hair was pulled back into a short, high ponytail. The scout turned at the question, reaching to flap his hood to get it to lay down right. He was still a little unused to being addressed.

"Cold, but beautiful. There's nothing quite like it." Zeke replied. His voice was much like the tundra, cool and smooth.

"I kind of wish I could see it, but all this information..." The young scientist murmured, his eyes gazing through his glasses at the screen as the secrets of the universe - of all universes, came pouring in. Zeke pursed his lips a bit. He wished he could get as excited as the scientists, but at least for the moment they were safe. He had done his job, his replacement was coming on duty and he had some down time.

"Just remember our deal Wesker, if you find anything about me in there, you have to tell me." Zeke said with a smile... a smile that faded as he realized the young man was too engrossed in his work to reply. The scout took his rifle from his hip and pressed it into the slot on the wall. There was a magnetic hum as it connected and started to recharge what minimal power had been used by the scope. Zeke had to admit, Ahdaltan technology was user friendly beyond measure. Human society had been reshaped in just a few short years by meeting their first alien race - and by proxy, several more.

The young man headed down the narrow hallways, leaving the main lab behind. He could hear similar chirps and beeps coming from side labs as other members of the expeditionary forces worked on more sensitive data. In a strange way, Zeke felt almost guilty. Everyone was frothing at the mouth for what was coming in, and he felt a little... numb. Maybe it was just the cold.

Zeke stopped before a double wide door and put his hand on the pressure pad. The door opened up to a large room, brightly lit with cream colored walls and stainless steel trim. The far wall was one constantly reshaping blob of lit color swirls, someone's idea of art. With everyone pouring over the data from the comet, no one was occupying the cafeteria, and Zeke was alright with that.

The twenty six year old unzipped his coat and took it off, hanging it on a hook, revealing the black hexagonal mesh shirt he wore beneath it. His dark gray pants were a bit puffy with the heat insulation, but he'd have to make due. He couldn't exactly strip to his boxers in the middle of the lunch room. Zeke crossed the room and opened the industrial size cooler and started rummaging around for something to drink. He idly scratched at the stubble at the back of his jaw as he looked.

After digging to the back, he pulled out a glass bottle with alien script on it, containing some sort of turquoise colored beverage that was bubbling inside the unopened bottle. Zeke lifted it up, closing one eye to look through the glass.

"Ravem, if I drink this, will I die?" Zeke asked with curiously little fear of the concept, glancing over the counter into the kitchen area.

A clanging could be heard coming from an area farther back in the kitchen, a sound like a metal bowl or pan being dropped, with it being quickly stifled, followed by the sound of quick footsteps coming in around from the main serving area.

"Yes, I was just getting something left in the main area sir! I am working-"

The sound of boots stopped as the speaker turned around the corner. A quick reaction from most people not from the base would be that the Galra had invaded the kitchen, as the lithe purple figure turned the corner - invaded and put on a cook's apron. The look was accentuated by the red bandana over his head. That wasn't quite the case though, as Ravem wasn't full Galra, only half, which was evident from the long slender tail with a small tuft of fur at the end behind the man, and the long, slim horns sloping back on top of his head.

"Oh, Zeke, it's just you. Don't scare me like that." The fur that hung down on either side of his face like sideburns bristling, along with his large, sloped and pointed ears laying back, they too with tufts at the end. Ravem towered over Zeke by almost two feet in height, but being younger than the scout he always had a bit of that youthful edge.

"What did you want from the fridge?" The cook came over to examine the bottle, "You looking to make some creeton chowder?"

"Does Creeton Chowder bubble on its own?" Zeke asked, arching one of his eyebrows as he reached to brush his mane of hair back out of his face, looking up into Ravem's brilliant amber eyes. Despite their professions being so different, Zeke had always found comfort hanging out with Ravem. In a way they were both outsiders...

"Well it wouldn't be quite a chowder if it didn't, now wouldn't it?" The half-galra grinned, his larger lower eye teeth extending up from his lower lips like small tusks. "That's half the syrup we use to make it, I wouldn't recommend trying to drink it, I hear it doesn't do well on its own."

Ravem reached in and pushed some of the bottles inside the fridge aside, pulling out a slim reddish purple bottle. "Here, trevin juice, probably something a bit better for you, help keep you warm on your next shift as well."

"If I had fur like you I'd always be warm." Zeke grinned, reaching up to pat Ravem's exposed shoulder and the incredibly soft violet fur that was there. His hand lingered half a moment longer than he intended before he pulled it back and brought his eyes to the bottle in his hands, popping the lid and tipping it back. He took a hearty gulp before his right eye narrowed a bit. He slowly licked his lips and looked back at Ravem, "Trevin juice isn't fruit based, is it?" he asked, his voice a little hoarse.

After taking moment to recover to react from the touch, the purple cook leaned back against one of the counters. "What's the word fruit mean?" He pulled back his bandana, letting out his large, naturally puffy mohawk of hair that lined up between his horns, airing it out from the hair net he wore underneath. Obviously Ravem decided it was time for his break.

"Trevin is a type of rock, found on this one planet that people really only use for growing it. The core of the planet is- well, its good, good enough to keep the planet warm, and anyone who drinks from the rocks."

"Wow... I wonder if it's a chemical reaction, or radioactive..." Zeke considered before he tipped the bottle back and took several more gulps. His adam's apple bobbed as he drained the fluid down and he broke the seal with a small, satisfied sigh, "But who cares. Thanks for the drink tip! So, how are you doing my friend?" Zeke asked, sitting on the edge of one of the tables.

"Oh you know," Ravem looked over at his friend, "just stuck in the kitchen while the secrets of the multiverse are unfolded and unlocked in the next room over. No big deal." Another grin flashed across his face, although a bit half heartedly compared to the last one. Zeke's lips pursed a little and his shoulders shifted.

"That's kind of why you joined Project Oracle, isn't it? To get close to the discoveries?" Zeke asked, recalling some of their earlier conversations, eliciting a nod from the half-breed.

"Yea, that's right. I was- erm, lets just say I was lucky to find someone to get me this position. It's kind of aggravating being so close, but at least I'm here, and I got to say there is better company than where I was before." He grinned and elbowed Zeke a bit. The human smiled at that before he hopped off the table.

"Sit in the couch, maybe we can get something juicy." Zeke said, moving over to the wall to pull a tablet out of the charging slot. He carried it over to the long couch like bench that ran along the base of the color changing wall and sunk down onto the cushions, "Wesker gave me his login one time... and I'm in." Zeke said, accessing the database, "So my fuzzy friend, what do you want to know?" he asked, looking up at Ravem, whose eyes were suddenly large in hope.

"Really? You have-" he bit off the end of his sentence, realizing how loud was was speaking, and moved over with more grace than belying his size, sitting down next to the human on the couch, and looking over his shoulder. "Access to the whole multiverse and what do I want to know? Almost everything! Anything that jumps out at you?" Looking over the read out, his hazel eyes looked over the list. "What's that word? Voltron? I've heard the scientists talking about it on the quiet."

"Even Wesker doesn't have much access to it, only what he's obtained in his own data packets. The colonel doesn't want us talking about it too much, but it's some sort of tech that's appeared in a few of the realities. They think it's the best shot to halting the Galra Empire in ours if they can figure it out. Oh, and the word you asked about earlier, Fruit...." Zeke closed his eyes, trying to remember, "Ka... Kadova?" he tried, still a bit ham fisted when it came to Galran pronunciation.

Ravem looked at the packet, trying to read anything there, leaning in against Zeke's back, before realizing that his friend had answered his previous question. "Oh!" He backed up a bit, giving the human some personal space "Oh, ok- wait, you make juices from them? Most are so hard and dry, I don't know how you would get something like a drink from most kinds."

"You just gave me a drink that came from rocks!" Zeke chuckled, "Okay, you poke through the tablet... Give me a chance behind the counter." Zeke said, getting up from the couch, brushing shoulder to furry shoulder with the cook before he moved back into the kitchen, as the galra sat up more on the couch on his legs, starting to flick through the information on the PDA. With his long, slender tail, tall horns and general height he took up quite a bit of space, but Ravem was still so young, so innocent.

Opening up the cupboards, Zeke grinned as he found as supply of oranges. While most of Project Oracle was staffed by humans, there was a small handful of alien researchers and workers that required different dietary supplements. Ravem excelled at cooking for them while cross species dishes were a largely unexplored concept. He brought three over to the cutting board, halved them and brought a cup down from the shelf. Soon he was squeezing them, letting the juice squirt out of the pulp and drain down into the cup. He winced a few times as seeds popped out, but without a proper juicer it was unavoidable. When he'd depleted all six oranges, he'd produced enough juice to offer a sizeable taste test. He raised it up to the cook.

"Orange juice, fresh from the fruit, not concentrated or rehydrated or powdered." Zeke said, bringing the cup out to Ravem on the couch. As he looked up from the tablet, Ravem looked at the cup, back to the counter, and back to the cup again, taking it carefully.

"You otta get rid of that evidence. Tirborn, the head cook, if he sees you had used those, he's going to freak. I wasn't even allowed near them, you humans can be touchy when it comes to your food." He took a sip of the orange juice, tasting it between his lips, before wincing with a sour face. "Wow! That's a bit of a kick in the tongue. Something of an acquired taste, huh? And these things floating around in it too." He chuckled and tried another drink, this time barely making any kind of face.

"The seeds are sort of an accident. They're not supposed to be in there... And I was a little worried, on Earth cats don't really like citrus." Zeke grinned. There was something about Ravem that brought out the best in him. He moved back to the kitchen and put the orange rinds into the compost slot before he moved back to the couch and sat down hip to hip with Ravem.

"I'm not sure why you humans keep referring to me like that, I'm nothing like a cat." He eyed the glass of juice carefully, coughing a bit from the sharp taste, and settling back on the couch with the tablet next to Zeke.

"Look at all this, there is so much in here, and I can barely scan a fraction of it. Can you believe that the solution to the Galra empire might lie in one of these different realities? Could you imagine what it might be like, what you or I could be like? The possibilities. What could have happened differently? Just one thing, and we have- Look at this! 'The Altaean Empire'! Could you imagine?" Zeke smiled, glad to see Ravem so delighted.

"Listen... Just promise you'll keep it in read only mode and not let anyone see you have it, I'll leave it logged in for you, okay?" Zeke smiled, "If anyone asks, you're just on your communicator at work."

Ravem, to his benefit, actually reacted to his friend's news and present. He would look up like a kid in a candy store, or as the human might see, cat in a mouse factory. "Really? Oh stars, thank you so much Zeke! I promise, I really do." He seemed to almost vibrate with excitement, the human hadn't seen him this happy since they first met. "I need to pay you back for this. Let me make you something, at least its something small I can offer as thanks."

"Just seeing you this happy is its own reward... Besides, I gotta crash. I'm wiped after duty. Now I can go to sleep, nice and warm with my rock juice." Zeke grinned, causing Ravem to roll his eyes but grin as well.

"Trevin juice. There is no actual rocks in there, just the juices from it." uncharacteristically, the purple cook hugged his scout friend. For a moment Zeke closed his eyes, enjoying the pressure and sensation. "No, seriously, this means a lot. I promise to make this up for you." Ravem's tail flicked happily behind him on the bench as he released his hold on the human. "Go, I can feel the cold still on you from your rotation, you must be exhausted. I'll see you for the next meal, I should get back to work."

"Okay... Have fun, if dinner's late I'll know why." Zeke smiled, standing up and stretching before he left the cafeteria.

The trans-reality meteor shower had continued for over an hour, giving untold data to the researchers below. It was a precarious dance, a balance between the planet's gravity and the inertia of the stone fragments... but there were other elements at play as well. While they appeared to outside observers to appear and disappear at random, the meteors were slipping between countless dimensions as well. The icy planet below was uninhabited in almost every reality, but one small fragment slipped into a dimension that was well guarded by an energy barrier, though it had already slipped enough in altitude to be under the shield.

The meteor fragment struck the shield, sending out ripples of pink energy as it was deflected, tumbling down toward the surface. Before it could impact, it hopped realities again, appearing above the far perimeter of the honeycomb sensor grid of the research outpost. The fragment came crashing down, hitting the tundra with an incredible force. An explosion ripped outward and upward in a blue sphere of light, sending shards of ice outward like shrapnel.

As the smoke and steam cleared, the small football sized piece of rock had come to a stop. It was like black mirrored obsidian with shimmering azure light veined through its surface. The veins throbbed with their trapped energy, the energy that made up the cosmos, the layers between realities and all life in all dimensions - quintessence.

The pulsing increased in speed, the light growing brighter and brighter before yellow light crackled out from the stone, dancing around the impact crater before a swirling yellow portal appeared around the stone. It was the largest rift yet, and its presence caused the ice covered moon to suddenly shudder, but the vibration caused the meteor fragment to fall over. Dislodged from its axis, the rift closed for the moment. The cold wind blew across the tundra, pushing back after the shockwave from the explosion. It supercooled the impact crater, dispelling the heat.

The aurora danced high in the sky in shades of green and blue, swirling and spiraling. The radiation was mesmerizing, almost hypnotizing. It shuddered every time the trans-reality meteor fragments appeared and disappeared, though one spot parted like the eye of the storm far above the fallen fragment, disrupted by the force that was, for the moment, dormant.

Zeke's quarters were modest, big enough for a bed and a desk. The shelves and closet were recessed, and facilities were communal down the hall. Zeke didn't mind in the slightest. While it wasn't huge, it was private... and that meant he could let his guard down. Posters were taped to the metal walls, his dirty clothes were in a pile in front of the closet, and despite the general cold of the planet a box fan was running, sitting on the edge of the desk. Zeke had turned it up to high when his Trevin juice had kicked in.

After his shift outside and something to eat, Zeke had passed out. His arm was draped over the side of the bed, his fingers almost grazing the floor and his mane of dark hair draped across his head, obscuring all but his stubbled chin from view. As he slept, a vibration started to build in the room. The fan was the first thing to show it, shuddering and slipping, the sudden movement allowing the force of the wind to suddenly dislodge it.

The fan fell over with a clatter, the spinning blade hitting the plastic guard. Zeke was out of his bed like a bolt, his eyes wide and alert. He scooped up the fan and put it back on the desk, turning it off... but he could feel that the ground was still shaking. He moved over to the com panel and pressed the button.

"What's going on?" he asked, his voice as cool and implaccable as ever.

"There's been a ground impact, we've lost our readings for sector fifteen." one of the scientists replied. Zeke took a breath and nodded.

"I'm on my way to the garage, have my bike ready with a cargo sled. I'm going to check it out." Zeke said, heading over to his closet. The scientist on the other side could be heard muttering a little before the line cut out. Zeke couldn't help but smile a little. It was a little out of protocol for him to be the one to go, but his fast response couldn't be ignored. After all, it was one of the reasons he'd been recommended for the scout position. Zeke opened his closet, trying to decide what he had left that would be good enough for the mission at hand.

The hoverbike let out a low warbling howl as it traversed the icy plains, heading out grid after grid. It was a sleek craft in shades of silver and teal, matching the Adahltan color scheme. Sometimes Zeke took the advancements they enjoyed from the coalition for granted, but not today. He loved that bike. His hood had come down part way to the destination, his dark shaggy hair whipping around behind him. His yellow goggles protected his eyes and even with an air shield at the front of the bike, the icy wind felt like needles stabbing into him - but he didn't care. He felt the thrill, the excitement, the power of it all.

The scout glanced down, spotting the pulsating icon on the bike's screen. He slowed his advance and kept ready, eventually coming to a complete stop. The ice up ahead had been deformed by the impact, kicking up a wedge of ice and snow behind the crater, making almost a shallow cave like structure. Zeke climbed off his bike and moved to the sled, getting a scanner and a specimen bag. He reached up, tapping the microphone stuck to his cheek just above his stubble.

"I'm approaching the impact site." Zeke reported.

"Be incredibly careful... Our research indicates that the comet pieces have phenomenal power trapped inside." Wesker instructed.

"I thought comets were made of ice and melted... Isn't this a meteor?" Zeke asked. There was a grumble over the intercom and that made Zeke grin a bit.

"Well, yes, of course... I guess... just be safe, alright?!" Wesker replied. Zeke grinned more as he advanced to the edge of the cave, looking in.

"I'm at the edge of the crater. I can see the fragment. It's about the size of a football." Zeke said, pulling out his scanner, looking at the readings, "No radiation that I can detect, but the energy level is off the chart."

"Don't touch it, we've got to get a team ready... This... If we can study it, we might be able to control with reality we're gleaning information from!" Wesker said with great excitement.

"We can't leave something like this out here all by itself. If the Galra are out there, if this stuff can make spaceships and giant robots, we need to secure it. I'm going in." Zeke said, stepping over the edge and starting to shimmy down.

"W-w-wait a second, Zeke, don't be insane. If it can jump dimensions, what will it do to you?!" Wesker asked. Zeke didn't respond, trying to keep his footing. The way the ice had melted and then refroze, it was like the area had been glassed. His boots were great at gripping on the tundra, but this was a different matter. His radio crackled a little bit as he got closer, echoes of Wesker's warning coming through along with faint voices he didn't recognize.

"I'm getting that Whispers from the Void effect you guys are always talking about." Zeke replied. It had been the phenomenon that drew them to the planet in the first place. Thanks to the cyclic meteor shower that Tayune passed through, radio transmissions from other realities bled through into theirs. Zeke listened to scientists, to soldiers, and... to aliens. Some of the words came through, chilling Zeke to the bone. They were so commanding, so powerful, deep and robust, and then his lips moved on their own without his intention, "Vrepit Sa." he responded to the whispers over his coms.

As the words left his mouth, Zeke suddenly felt incredibly dizzy. His eyes rolled into the back of his head, his sense of up and down disappeared, and he felt a sharp impact on his cheek and shoulder. It took him a moment to realize he'd fallen forward, hitting the ice hard. His coms splintered, the metal and plastic scattering on the ice. Zeke winced, blinking, groaning.

He reached up to brush his long hair out of his face, looking at the steam leaving his lips. He was far away from home, now without his comlink. He had to finish his mission and get back before the cold started to take its toll. Zeke rolled over and pushed himself up on all fours before he stood up and shimmied the rest of the way across the ice. He looked down at the glistening black and turquoise stone before he reached out and grabbed it.

Once more the incredible wave of dizziness washed over him again. Zeke felt like he was spinning, spiraling, falling and flying all at once. His stomach recoiled, ready to discharge everything he had eaten until he forced it back down. His skin tingled, his bones ached, and he brought the stone to his specimen bag before he dropped it in and zipped it up. Almost all at once he started to feel better. The spinning slowed, the vertigo fading for the most part.

Zeke shook it off and climbed out of the cave, moving back to the bike quickly. He debated his options regarding the sled. It would be bumpier on the sled, but having the sample away from the bike's power core seemed like a better idea. He didn't want to ride his bike out of his reality and into another if he could help it. The scout secured the bag to the sled, pulled out a field damper and set it to high to try and muffle anything that might interfere with the sample, and climbed back onto his bike. It took only a moment to pull his fur lined hood back up, keeping his hair at bay.

With a push off from his boots, he turned the bike around and starting heading back for the research outpost. There was going to be fallout from his dangerous actions, but this wasn't the Galaxy Garrison. He had chosen to work for the expeditionary forces for a reason. The ends would justify his means, and the scientists would be salivating over their precious rock while he enjoyed a good beer. The grin spread over Zeke's lips as he picked up speed, ducking down behind the air shield to minimize his exposure.

Bright light shone across the trans-reality meteor fragment as it floated above the primary research table, making the black stone seem almost translucent as the veins of bright blue light throbbed and pulsed. The number of cameras, scanners, probes and receivers set up around the floating piece of stone nearly obscured it from view, but there were a few good angles left to take a peek.

The normal chaos of the labs had fallen to a dead quiet as the scientists reoriented to work with a direct sample. The sensor grid was still recording the data collected from the meteor shower over head, but now... they had the real deal, first hand experience. Wesker was darting back and forth, talking with the department heads. Did they dare take a sample? Did they merely try to use the stone as an antenna? What if it generated a rift? Did it have enough mass to do such a thing?

"That... was incredibly foolish, young man." The voice was grave, deep, and resonating. It was enough that Zeke's shoulders hunched a bit and his eyes downcast for a moment before his ego started welling up again and he looked up at the mission leader. He was a man in his early fifties, dark brown skin and short black hair with hints of salt and pepper mixed in. His face seemed paralyzed in an eternal grimace.

"It was, colonel Tucker, but... it was a security risk to leave it out there. If the Galra know we're here, then we can't give them easy access." Zeke replied. The colonel clucked a little at that response. He looked Zeke up and down. The scout was a five foot eleven gangly piece of work.

"I think... I can get away with that excuse on my report." he said finally. Zeke looked up at that before grinning a little.

"Really? Good... It was the best I could come up with on short notice." Zeke said. Tucker chuckled at that before shaking his head.

"Don't think you're off the hook though... You were exposed to something we know very little about. I'm taking you off of active rotation for the next three days. I want you to get a full medical workup."

"Three days?! What am I supposed to do for three days without my patrols?" Zeke asked. The Colonel smiled.

"Well, Ravem has asked for extra help in the kitchens. We just brought a crate of potatoes out of stasis." Tucker replied. Zeke said nothing, weighing his options before he finally, reluctantly, nodded.

"A man's gotta eat." he replied. The colonel gave a brief nod.

"That's the spirit. I'll be waiting for that workup." he said, turning to move back toward his henhouse full of researchers. Zeke watched him go, feeling a sense of relief that he'd found a leader that understood his need for autonomy... someone that got him. As Zeke turned to head out of the labs, he reached up and scratched at his cheek, the stubble there feeling a bit longer than it had a few minutes before.

The door to the cafeteria slid open, but Zeke stood in the doorway for a moment. He still felt a bit off since earlier, but there was something else deep in the pit of his gut... some sort of worry, some sort of longing. It was hard to put into words. Zeke moved in, pulling off his coat again to throw it up onto the hook on the wall. He wriggled a little, his black mesh shirt feeling like it was fitting a little too snugly.

"Ravem?" Zeke called out, his voice tinged with a hint of urgency. His voice echoed across the empty area, most people either pulling an all nighter or sleeping and letting information compile to a readable state. He moved into the kitchen area, and deeper into the area in general, a light coming from in the back. Zeke felt strange. The kitchen was dark, illuminated only by the light from the store room.

The scout started moving faster toward the back, calling out Ravem's name again, his heart accelerating. Whatever was happening, maybe the Colonel was right, maybe he did need a medical workup.... Zeke looked up, "Ravem?" he called one more time.

"Zeke?" the young voice called in return, and in the very back of the kitchen, surrounded by boxes of food, was Ravem. His hair disheveled and hanging over one of his horns messily. "You get woken up by that ice-quake as well? I couldn't sleep and so decided to inventory the new stuff. See, we got some more of that fruit you were talking about. These one's called... Poe-tae-toes. Weird word but- is everything alright?" He would notice his friend's look in his eyes. "Everything oka-"

Without saying anything, Zeke moved forward and grabbed onto Ravem, hugging him around his mid-section. Zeke's head only came up to Ravem's nipples, but the scout was strong and held onto him tightly. Zeke closed his eyes and felt his heartbeat slowing down to normal before a blush started to cross his cheeks. He pulled back from the hug just as his friend registered what was happening and was bringing his arms up.

"Yeah, uh, sorry. I went out and got... a piece of one of the meteorites, and I guess I'm worked up about it. I just wanted to make sure you were okay." he said, glad that most of the kitchen was dark to hide his embarrassment. Zeke stood up on his tip toes and reached to brush Ravem's hair back into place, causing the half-galra's ears to lean back a bit happily.

"Hey, hey. its okay, I'm not going anywhere, not anytime soon at least." Ravem hand came up and, with a bit of hesitation and confusion, rest on the human's shoulder and neck. "And you're safe, which is what matters here. Whatever those comets are, they can't be safe, have you been looked over yet by the medical staff?" Zeke sighed.

"That's just what the colonel said... But I wanted to see you first." Zeke said, "Do you need help peeling any of the potatoes? Oh, and... don't try to juice them. Unless you look up what vodka is."

"Vodka? I'll take a look. And yea, I mean, I have a lot of these potatoes to peel, but you have your own work to do. If you want to help, I would appreciate it. Tirborn said I was going to have to go through them all eventually." He looked around and shift some boxes around until he had two stacks of about equal height next to each other, waving Zeke to sit with him on them. Zeke settled down on the box and grabbed a peeler from the drawer, situating a bowl down in front of him... but then he started looking at Ravem.

He was tall, very strong shoulders, and handsome... His tusks were barely up above his bottom lip, just enough to frame his smile. His ears were so long and pointed, conveying his emotions so easily. His fur was the softest thing Zeke had ever felt. Zeke felt his cheeks burning again and he looked down at the potatoes, blushing again as he started peeling.

"I actually have the next few days off, so we can spend more time together." Zeke admitted after a moment, feeling an odd fluttering in his stomach as he uttered the words. It was starting to become quite apparent how he felt, but he had absolutely no idea how Ravem felt about the concept.

"Really? That's..." Ravem took a minute to look over at the human, who was now staring down at the potato in his hand, peeling it with a peeler like it was warm butter. "That would be great. Honestly, I don't really have that many friends, even less so here. Most people who look at me can't look past me being purple, and the humans who don't know Galra usually are hard military types." Reaching across to get another peeler, Ravem would nudge into the human with his shoulder, and smile at the face that looked up to his. "I'm not quite familiar what it means when you human's faces go red like that, but I hope it wouldn't be that juice I gave you."

Zeke's eyes went very large at that and he looked up, swallowing a bit. He tried to think of his words, trying to come to grips with everything he wanted to say, but it was all so new to him. He hadn't even realized it himself at first... and it seemed that he wasn't up to it quite yet either. Zeke forced a smile and shook his head.

"No it isn't that. I'm just not feeling like myself I guess. I'll be okay. I've got you, right?" Zeke said before he went back to peeling, his hair cascading over his face as he looked down, forcing him to brush it back again.

"Oh, that's good, I've heard stories of causing some blood issues with other species, but everything on base is good for humans, so I am told." Ravem chuckled and start to try and peel the potatoes, the spuds being smaller in his hands than in Zeke's. "Yea, of course, after everything you did for me so far, you have me in your debt."

"I kind of like that..." Zeke grinned, looking up. As the diminished light caught his smile, his canine teeth seemed a bit longer to Ravem, almost sharper and the galra returned the smile, like there was joke just said. Zeke went back to his work, peeling the potatoes like a pro. He had been forced to do it a few times as KP duty before he'd been kicked out of Galaxy Garrison. Ravem watched Zeke for a bit, the smile replaced by a bit of a confused look after the human looked away. His attention would go down to the skilled fingers working and peeling the potatoes.

An hour would pass as they sat there, Ravem getting the hang of peeling, although having to hold the vegetables more in his claw tips than in the palm of his hand. The sound of scraping and falling peels into the bowl would fill the night air. The cook was the first to the silence between them. "I really appreciate your help here Zeke, I think we should be good for the morning at least. Did you want me to walk with you down to the medical area?"

"Afraid I won't make it on my own?" Zeke asked with a soft smile, diminished by the fact that their time together had passed so quickly and was now over. The hour had given Zeke time to come to grips, and he knew he was crushing hard on Ravem. How he proceeded with that, though, was still completely uncertain.

Ravem flashed a smile. "Lets just say, you showing up in the middle of the night and in a bit of a panic, I want to make sure its at least uneventful." Zeke groaned at that, standing up and groaning as he stretched before dumping the peels into the compost slot.

"Alright then, come with me my bodyguard. You can relay me to the doctor." Zeke said.

"Of course, I will protect you." Ravem replied back with a quip and a joking grin. He collected up the garbage and took the unpeeled potatoes into the kitchen, dumping them in a waiting pot of water, and took care of tossing the bowl into the dishwasher area. "Alright, good to go." Zeke briefly thought about linking his arm with Ravem's on their walk, but the growing stiffness in his pants indicated that would be too difficult to explain. Instead, he gave his partner a nod and moved for the door, hoping to get the poking and prodding out of the way as quickly as possible.

"What do you mean, it locked?" Colonel Tucker asked, his voice silencing the chatter of the researchers filling the main lab. Wesker blinked a few times, looking up at the colonel.

"All of the signals we're getting are from one reality." The researcher said, looking back at his screen and adjusting his glasses, "Two four five two alpha. The Galra Empire reportedly control seventy two percent off the known galaxy, and there is no Voltron element involved." Wesker said, looking up. The colonel was silent for a long moment.

"Project Oracle exists to give the coalition an edge on the looming threat the Galra Empire poses. So far we've made our advancements from a variety of sources. If this sample is locked on a dimension that can't help us, it's going to have to help us in another way. Prepare a sample for chemical testing. Maybe we can refine it into something useful, an armor, an alloy." Tucker said.

"Sir, with all due respect, experiments of that nature could destabilize-" Wesker was cut off at once.

"Good. If it does destabilize, maybe it will lock onto a reality with more important information. Proceed at once. Do I make myself clear?" Tucker asked.

"Yes sir!" Several of the researchers responded. Wesker slowly sunk lower in his chair, looking at the readouts from the fragment.

The Oracle infirmary was state of the art, if not very roomy. It had four beds and a half-office for Doctor Kekedi. Zeke sat at the foot of one of the beds, an armband strapped to his bicep, reading off data to the doctor's PDA. Zeke kept looking over at Ravem who hadn't left his side. The doctor stood on the other side, her long black hair pulled into a long ponytail, cascading over her shoulders. Her rich light brown skin contrasted the white and silver medical uniform.

"Your hormones are elevated..." She said finally. Zeke suppressed a grimace.

"I guess it's all the excitement, I mean, we're making history here." Zeke said. The doctor let out a soft noise at that, looking through more of the vital signs.

Ravem gave himself a little laugh, looking over at Zeke. "I thought those were my lines." His eyes shifted over to the doctor "So everything else seems to be okay then Doctor? He isn't radiating some kind of temporal radiation or anything?"

"Well... I don't exactly have the equipment to test for something like that, though I could check with the research team." she replied with a smirk, "I don't see any symptoms that are out of the ordinary though, just levels that are bit high. I have to agree with the colonel, a few days off should be in order." she said.

"Then I'm good to go?" Zeke asked hopefully. Doctor Kekedi smirked.

"Yes, you're free to go." She said. Barely had the words left her lips as Zeke was off the bed and on his feet. Ravem smiled and thanked the Doctor, his chest feeling a little lighter knowing his friend had a more or less clean bill of heath.

"So that's good news then, free from hazardous health and some time off work. At least you're free for a bit now, what're you going to do?"

"We're all done with potatoes, right?" Zeke asked, looking at Ravem. The doctor moved to sterilize her tools and set them back to charging before retiring to her office to type up the paperwork.

"For now, yea. I didn't really have much to do for the moment, and I would have done that tomorrow- erm, or is it later today? What time is it?" The galra looked around for one of the many clocks on the wall. "Anyways, I don't know if I could sleep at the moment."

"Then how about a movie? Best of both worlds?" Zeke offered, "You could come over to my place, I could show you some of Earth's best?"

"Sure, I wouldn't mind seeing what the quarters they give actual mission people to share." Ravem's face contorted into a smile, covering one of his usually visible tusks, but making the other one much more visible. Zeke slung his arm around Ravem's shoulder, getting a good grip despite the odd angle.

"I think I've got just the movie..." Zeke said with great joy in his voice.

The meteor fragment had been transferred to the deepest recesses of the Oracle base, secured behind a refractive shield. The fragment was held in a metallic cradle, keeping it steady as the laser slowly lowered into place, tracking a point at the farthest edge of the stone. The scientists in the chamber were wearing protective garb from special aprons to goggles. Colonel Tucker had gone without any accessories, though he was standing at the far edge of the lab. Calculations were entered, readings were taken, and the moment of truth finally came.

"Initiating first incision." One of the scientists said before pressing the control. A green line of light slice out from the laser, hitting the meteor fragment, though as it hit the stone, a fan of rainbow light split out on the far side like a prism, cutting into the shielding. Alarms started sounding, lights flashing. The teal veins of light in the fragment turned suddenly yellow before light enveloped the chamber. Sparks erupted from the ceiling, conduits and capacitors blowing out. Computer screens went dark, the main lights snapped off and a dull orange emergency light system kicked into place.

"What happened? Can you stabilize?!" Tucker called out. The scientists were helping each other up from where they had fallen, but there was some confusion. Tucker growled, "I said what happened?!" he asked, but the scientists had frozen in place, looking up at the ceiling. Small spheres of yellow light were starting to sink down through the metal like snowflakes caught in a globe, drifting so slowly.

"Oh my god... That's one of the symptoms of a dimensional rift..." one of the scientists whispered. Tucker watched one of the particles drift down, touching onto a console before it seemed to shudder and disappear completely, leaving nothing but a hole in the floor. Pure dread shot through his system as he looked at the other particles.

"Get down, get back! Don't-" Tucker stopped as the particles seemed to fade away all at once. The ceiling lights started to flicker and come back on as power was rerouted. As the remaining systems kicked back on, the scientists quickly examined their readouts.

"The fragment has returned to its dormant state... but its power output has increased." The researcher said. Tucker was silent. Their experiment had nearly been deadly, the risk was still there... but the potential was also inspiring. If they could harness that effect, if they could weaponize it... they might just have a chance against the Galra after all.

Zeke had done his best to clean up before letting Ravem into his quarters, stuffing his clothes into the closet and bagging up any loose items to make room. The effort had been fairly successful given the room wasn't the largest, though to a more sophisticated nose it was impossible not to smell Zeke's scent. It was peaty with just the slightest hint of spice, almost like a rainforest.

After a little bit, there was a knock on the door to Zeke's place. Zeke moved over and pressed the switch, letting the door slide open. Ravem dominated the door frame. No longer in his normal cooking clothes, he had a black shirt around his upper torso, cutting off just above his pants waistline, which, as he came in, was obvious that it had been modified in the back to let his tail hang out under his belt line. The garment had the effect of leaving a ring of furry abdomen exposed, lighter on the stomach than the sides or back. Further down he was wearing boots that went up to just below his knees, made to look like plating of some kind, but obviously fake. As he came in, he presented a bowl of what looked like thinly sliced... blue things.

"Hey, sorry I took so long, I wanted to grab something for our movie. Hope you don't mind tupple slices, I had ordered some on the last transport that came in."

"Hey, you cook it, I'll eat it. I have complete faith in you." Zeke replied, smiling again as he turned. A PDA had been carefully propped up and its projector turned on, though it was still on the media home screen. Zeke had opted for some lighter garb as well, wearing a black tank top and gray cargo shorts. He leaned over the PDA, trying to find the right file, "I was thinking Adrenaline Shot: Blood on the Flats as one option, but I'm not so sure." Zeke said, shifting his weight from foot to foot.

Somewhere far down the halls there was a sudden thump and the ground beneath their feet shuddered slightly before the lights promptly turned off, plunging them into almost complete darkness. The PDA projector was the only source of light before a faint yellow wall of energy passed through the bulkhead, both of the room's occupants, and then disappeared again.

Once again Zeke felt like he had lost his bearing, the world spinning around him. He grabbed onto the desk to balance himself, but the PDA toppled to the ground, leaving the two in absolute darkness for the moment.

Ravem on the other hand, wasn't handling things quite as well. As the darkness swept the room, a loud shattering sound of the bowl dropping from the guest's hand reverberated in the small room. While the room may have been dark, visions and sounds flashed in and around the galra, and his hands went up to try and cover both. Vertigo took hold of him, and his long legs could not support him properly as he bent over. After a few seconds of eternity, the darkness of the room slowly enveloped his senses, except for a heavy beating sound, which he realized was his heart. He lay there for a moment, just taking deep breaths and trying to grasp at getting his mind on track.

"Hold on, I've almost got it..." Zeke's voice cut through the darkness. Apparently he had recovered faster than Ravem and made it to the panel. He futzed with the cables before the dull orange emergency lights kicked in from recessed points around the ceiling molding. The room came back into focus and Zeke turned, moving back to his guest, carefully stepping over the broken bowl. He reached up and put his hand onto Ravem's cheek, "It's going to be okay, you're going to be okay." he said, looking into his eyes.

Ravem's eyes seemed to lock onto Zeke's face, and recognition flooded back into him. Groaning and taking a deep breath, he rested his face against the human's hand before slowly sitting up. "What in the deep heavens, was that? My head is pounding." Soon enough, things started to switch into gear. "That didn't feel like before, are you okay?"

"I'm fine, but are you? Do you need checked out?" Zeke asked, deeply concerned for his friend.

"I- I don't know. I mean, I'm starting to feel better, but..." Ravem's eyes scanned the room, "that sure did a number, and I shattered that bowl, there are bits everywhere." Groaning with a bit of a headache, he pulled himself into a better sitting position. "Maybe if we just take a moment, power is out it seems for the most part, I am sure the Doctor has more pressing things to take care of for the moment if other people are hurt. Maybe I can clean this up, and we could actually just try that movie?"

"Sure, if that's what you want. But you should kick back and relax, I got this." Zeke said with a smile, bending over to pick up the broken fragments.

"No, you shouldn't, let me clean up. I mean, I wouldn't want you to hurt yourself after whatever that is. I am doing better, and we're here together" Already bent over, Ravem went about gathering up the pieces, making sure to catch everyone one, even if they went under the bed, getting on all fours to do. Quickly disposing of them and the food that had been spilled, things were cleaned up fairly quickly. "There. Done for you."

"You didn't have to do all that, and I wish you hadn't seen all the junk under my bed." Zeke chuckled, "But... it's all better, and no one's come to get us so things are either fine, or terrible." Zeke said, looking at just how rich Ravem's amber eyes seemed in the emergency lighting.

"Well, if things have gone terrible, there are benefits to be looking like a Galra, I am sure no one will mess with you." Ravem's grin seemed more confident than any time recently as he lowered himself to the ground next the bed. "I can't believe you get your own place. This is grand compared to the bunks I share with the other cooks."

Zeke tried to speak, to respond, to counter Ravem's first statement. Benefits to looking like a Galra? That made sense... but no one messing with him? But he didn't look like a... The world started to spin around Zeke again, feeling that strange feeling he had when he heard the whispers from the void, from the other side. Something strange bubbled up inside of him, an unearned confidence, a strength. He reached out and grabbed onto Ravem's sideburns and pulled him forward into a kiss.

The scout's tongue plunged between Ravem's tusks as if they knew where they were going, playing across the half breed's own. Zeke's fingernails dug into the hair and fur, feeling sharper than usual. Zeke's lips pried Ravem's open as he demonstrated a surprising amount of strength for a lowly human. Zeke stepped forward, placing his legs on either side of Ravem before he lowered down, sitting on his lap as they kissed. Not that Ravem hadn't tried to react, his eyes had shot open in surprise as suddenly he had been set upon. His head had suddenly started to pool with strange thoughts and emotions that seemed so familiar and alien at the same time, growing more intense as the human sat down on him and forced himself upon the half breed.

But then he pushed back, as the tongue was pushed into his mouth, he took pleasure and accepted what was being offered - no, what was being given to him. Even though he was larger, he found it surprisingly difficult to push the scout off, and eventually instead of trying to push him off, Ravem just started to push into him. His hands would roam up and slid under the human's shirt, clawed hands slide across skin and teased the supple body. He had been caught up in whirlwind of emotions and heat as he pushed his own tongue along the humans, slightly rough skin sliding against the smooth muscle that was in his mouth. Zeke pulled back reluctantly, his lips snarling, ready to go back into the fray.

"It's been too long..." he whispered, his voice deeper, gruffer. He dragged his fingernails through the fur on Ravem's cheek before he dove back into the kiss and started to grind his groin against the half-breed's. The words made no sense to Zeke. He'd NEVER kissed another person, let alone gone at it like this... But somehow the words FELT right, they FELT like him, and he needed Ravem more than anything.

As Zeke humped against the cook, his breathing increased, his heart pounded in his chest and he groaned again. His eyes stung slightly as the hazel tones of his iris started to take on a honey yellow hue. The teeth that had been growing sharper took on more distinct points, and the fingernails on Zeke's right hand began to throb as they grew out, stretching longer and thicker, getting tougher as they took on points like claws.

Ravem shuddered as he felt the hand on the left side of his face start to match his own proportions, claws slipping through the fur and against his skin, it felt just right. Just... like it was supposed to. That wasn't right, but to his lusting brain, Ravem accepted it. He accepted everything, even as he opened his eyes and saw a reflection of what he was used to in the mirror showing back. In the emergency lights, he could have sworn they were, but he put that off to the side. The only thing that mattered, was this, even if he hadn't even thought of it before today.

Growling in his throat, Ravem tried to pull Zeke closer, wanting to feel the heat from the human body on his own as his instincts tried to kick in. He brought his hands to Zeke's sides, and drew his claws long his skin there, leaving small streaks without breaking the skin. "I don't even remember the last time."

"You don't remember Saldovore? The black beaches..." Zeke panted, his memories of another world, another life, another... dimension. Realizing that, he blinked a few times, his panting increasing before he moaned suddenly, "Oh god, Ravem, what is happening? What... oh... god... I want this..." He whispered before he buried his face into the half-breed's neck, inhaling his scent deeply over and over again, his humping becoming a gentle grinding.

Ravem panted deeply, feeling the human against in, burying himself in his neck, the galra's mind was grasping at straws. He didn't remember, he had never been to Saldovore, or even know where it was - but the memories? The beaches that looked like obsidian when the sun was setting, or the sound of the water playing like chimes on the crystal on the cliff face nearby? He remembered that somehow.

"No, this isn't right, it feels so good and.. Yes, it's perfect but-" Ravem stuttered as the feeling of grinding under the human causing his mind to skip for a second as he wrapped his arms around the smaller being. Zeke's panting became a sudden gasp, his body going stiff before he collapsed against Ravem's chest. Soon the hybrid felt a hot wetness spreading across his lap. Zeke was like putty in his arms.

"Rave..." Zeke whispered, "I think... I think on the other side we... we might be lovers." he said, looking up slowly at Ravem's furry chin.

Ravem's head leaned back against the bed, breathing hard and having the world stop spinning in his eyes. He lifted it up and looked down at... he had a word, but it was just out of reach. "Zeke," the hybrid fumbled with the human's name, "That was... you think this has something to do with that? I've never felt like that before."

"For a split second I... I remembered us being on an alien beach, together... romantically, and now it's all hazy again, like it's just out of reach. But when I first got near the fragment, I felt all dizzy and sick and I... said something." Zeke swallowed, "Vrepit Sa..." he whispered, looking deep into Ravem's eyes.

"Vrepit Sa." Ravem instantly returned the saying, his eyes having flashed to far away for a moment before flashing back. He quickly clapped a hand over his mouth, realizing what he had just said, and spoke from behind his hand. "I haven't said or even heard those words in years. Do you know what they are?"

"No, it just felt... powerful, when I heard it before." Zeke said, reaching up to try and comfort Ravem before he froze, and both of them looking at his right hand. It had grown larger than his left... Wider, longer, and his fingers were capped with claws. His eyes grew wide once again, "Shit..." In disbelief, Ravem raised his hand from his mouth and pushed it against Zeke's changed hand to compare sizes. The two were much closer than they had been before, only different by a matter of centimeters. Some of the hairs on the back of the wrist had even taken on a faintly purple hue.

"What the..." Ravem stared for a moment, not moving. "Wait... but you're human... how... what's going on?"

"I don't know, but this is... dangerous. I mean, you they know, but if I start changing, they might think I'm some sort of Galran infiltrator. We can't let them know about this." Zeke said, resting his head on Ravem's shoulder, gently nuzzling his cheek against the fur. Ravem couldn't stop staring at the hand, listening to Zeke, before bringing the hand into his face and taking a deep breath.

"Yea, you even smell like a Galra.." His arms wrapped around the human- well, former human tightly, and reflexibly, he ground his body up against Zeke. "We will find a way out something, a way to fix this. No one will hurt you. I promise."

"Do you like the way I smell? You said it yourself... If I look like a Galra, no one will mess with us..." Zeke murmured, his eyes glazing over again as he reached down, fumbling to open Ravem's pants, plunging his enlarged hand in. His clawed fingers wrapped around a very plump, very robust, very purple member. Zeke moaned, throwing his head back, his hair cascading over his shoulder blades. As he moaned, it became apparent how fang like his eye teeth had become.

The scout gave Ravem's shaft a gentle squeeze and then a stroke, finding it amazing how powerful his enlarged hand was. He began to stroke up and down with eager abandon, feeling the rubbery bumps on the half-breed's shaft press and dig against his palm.

Caught off guard, Ravem was paralyzed with the sudden spike in pleasure as Zeke's hand went straight between his legs. His mouth tried to work as only a growling moan echoed out to match Zeke's. He thrusted up into the hand, his cock wrapped in what felt like the perfect grip, as stars danced in his eyed. Broken of his momentary freedom, Ravem leaned into the corner of Zeke's neck and nuzzled in close, the fur on his cheeks sliding against the skin and he took a deep breath. The smell was fainter, but even her he could smell the unique smell that Ravem had smelled on the hand. He pushed in close to Zeke and thrust his hips.

"You smell amazing... yes... I'm so close." he cried out as he felt himself edging closer to release. "I will protect you, no one will dare cross us."

"That's right... You are protected, and you will always be mine. Now, cum for your commander." Zeke whispered before he bit into Ravem's neck, his new fangs managing to get further through the fur than any human teeth could, though he didn't quite break the skin. His hand gripped tighter, darting up and down on the half-breed's needy, horny shaft.

With each thrust up and down Ravem's member, new purple fur sprouted across the back of Zeke's hand. It crossed the flesh, slipping around the knuckles, covering the palm until it was as if he had on a purple fur glove. The fur tapered off at the wrist, though splotches of his arm hair had turned purple as well.

With everything that had happened, Ravem cried out into the human shoulder, his entire body shuddered, as he came just as told, cum shooting out between them in thick, sticky ropes of faintly yellow sperm. He had dug his claws into the scout as Zeke continued to pump his length, panting as blinding pleasure shot through and he rode out his afterglow.

Zeke gave out a deep growling groan, a wide smile on his lips. He lifted his furry paw to his lips and gratuitously licked the cum from it, sucking every finger clean before he dove down, wrapping his lips around Ravem's post-orgasmic cock. Having already came, the sensitivity was through the roof but Zeke bobbed his head, sucking and slurping his lover clean. He shivered as the barbs tugged at his cheeks, but he loved every moment of it, coaxing every last drop of the salty, musky goo out of his mate and into his mouth.

Ravem's claws dug into the floor beneath the two of them, not having expected the spike of pleasure that caused his vision to do a flip. Having taken a few breaths to realize what happened, he placed both hands on the back of Zeke's head, his entire body rippling with pleasure shooting down his spine.

"Zek-kahzay! Ah... ah... that's..." His entire body sagged back, having surrendered to the ministrations of his mate. When Zeke's eyes opened again, for a moment, they were entirely yellow, gleaming with light. Kahzay... It all clicked into place. Purple hues began creeping into his long dark hair in a few streaks as the stubble on his cheeks grew softer, longer, thicker. Even his ears were taking on subtle points... He knew who he was on the other side.

Zeke pulled his lips off of Ravem's cock and leaned up to kiss him, but he didn't make it all the way there. The strain of his body changing, his mind crossing dimensions, and of glorious, glorious sex was all too much. Zeke went completely limp, passing out, landing in a heap against Ravem's chest.

Having come back to his senses, Ravem realized he had an unconscious Zeke on his chest. The being that had seemed larger than life moments ago was there, limp in his arms. Ravem took great care not to disturb him, lifting the scout up into his bed, laying him out and taking stock of his changes before he moved over to the door panel. In an act of instinct, he opened up the slot and pulled out the wires with a few small sparks to make sure it was sealed even on emergency power. The thoughts came flooding into his mind. What had he done? What had they both done? He had to make sure the base didn't discover what had happened until they knew what they were going to do, or what came next.
