#11 of Dad Camp

It's the day of the Couples Competition! Can Elliot pull this off with Jiro. Will Jiro not being able to hear hinder their working as a team in any way? Find out in the all new day at Dad Camp!

"Welcome everyone to the Couples Competition!!!" announced a rather flamboyant and muscular dingo named Harper into his microphone. He was up on stage wearing only a white speedo and stylish sunglasses, "It's time for some of you to show us what you're made of as a team! We have ten teams competing this year for a private dinner aboard the camp yacht along with Elric, our most handsome proprietor! There will be six games our contenders will be participating in. Each game can reward you up to ten points each. The team with the most points at the end of all the games, wins! First game is a standard camp favorite. The three legged race! You all know how this works, so I'm not going to explain it. Second game you'll be doing the canoe race. You and your partner will have to race from dock seven to dock one. That's half a mile! I hope your arms are ready. Third game is the shoulder run. One of you is going to sit on top of your partner's shoulders as they sprint with you down a hundred yard range. After that, food time! We'll all have a one hour break to refuel and rehydrate!"

The dingo stretched himself out and took a deep breath before he continued talking, "Then we'll move on to game four. Boulderdash! This will take place on the same course as as the shoulder run. One of you will start with a fifty pound medicine ball running down fifty yards. Your partner will have to lift a two hundred pound medicine ball from the ground and run it down the rest of the course. Remember to lift with your knees! Game five requires some good balance. We'll be placing five of you at a time on a pillar out in the water. Everyone else gets to participate in this one! While five of you are trying to keep your balance, the rest of us will be chucking dodgeballs at you! We suggest keeping your backs to us so we don't hit your face or something more precious. And last but not least, volleyball! Every point you score in the game matters. This could be a way to make a great comeback. Each team will be randomly selected to face off against one another. There will be five games, and the game ends when one team gets eleven points."

The dingo wagged his tail as everyone cheered, "Our judges this year," the dingo motioned to another stage, "We have Elric, our fearless leader. Turbo, the master of function. Dukagjin, the master of games. And Jeigor, the master of judgement." All four stood up and waved to the cheering crowd. Dukagjin was a boar with broad shoulders and very square features. One could clearly see he was covered in all sorts of scars. This had come from years of him doing medieval reenactments.

Once the cheering died down, Harper started up again, "Alright boys. It's time for the first round!"

Elliot and Jiro tied their legs together. Victor was kind enough to translate everything for the bat. Jiro was ready to follow Elliots lead now that Victor had to join up with Keller. The four of them were going to have trouble with this considering the height differences they had with their partners. Elliot and Jiro took their practice steps towards the starting line.

Elliot had the both of them put their tied legs behind them. They planted their free feet up against the starting line. Once everyone lined up, Harper stepped up next to the course, "Alright boys. We have the judges at the other end to keep an eye on who makes it down in what place. We even have a fancy high speed camera in case there's any confusion." Harper pulled a gun from out of the back of his speedo and pointed it up in the air, "Ready. Set." BANG!

Everyone began to hobble their way down the course as the audience of patrons and counselors cheered them on. Despite the struggle and all the falling, all of them were laughing and having a good time with this ridiculous game. Elliot and Jiro lost their rhythm halfway down the course. They started to stumble and hop as they went along. Hopping was a bad idea as both of them went down.

Jiro was laughing hysterically as Elliot picked him back up. He was happy to see him having such a good time with this. They got back to stumbling. One, two, three teams passed the finish line. The two of them ran awkwardly now to try and beat out anyone else. They both tripped over the line to lock in fourth place. They sat on the ground laughing.

Gunner the dragon was high fiving and hugging the lion he ran with. The both of them taking first on the run. Both of them were well built, and were easily probably going to be tough competition the whole time. Everyone untied themselves as the dingo got the results from the judges.

"You guys were ridiculous," the dingo laughed as he read over his paper, "A big congratulations to Gunner and Holt for winning the first game! You guys now have ten points up on the board!" The dingo pointed up the hill to a large board where a few of the counselors were passing numbers around. The board had hanging planks with each teams names on them. Elliot hugged Jiro to him as they were placed in the fourth position with seven points.

"Alright competitors, load up on the trucks so we can drive you to the next location," said the dingo.

Twenty of them crowded around the camps trucks and loaded up. Sterling, Helmut, Luke and Allen loaded in with Jiro and Elliot. Allen gave Elliots ass a smack as he hoisted himself up, "You jerk. You have the lead on us."

Elliot laughed as he settled in, "We'll be sure to keep it up."

Sterling, the tiger, let out a guffaw, "Now that the silly game is out of the way, we're going to crush all of you."

Allen grinned, "Big words from fourth place last year."

Helmut snorted, "You merely got lucky."

"B...boys, play nice," said Luke.

"We are playing nice," Allen chuckled, "I'm more worried about Zahir and Dirk. It'll be devastating if they stomp us again like they did last year."

"Ugh, right?" Sterling laughed.

The car ride didn't take long. The back and forth shit talking helped pass the time. The twenty of them unloaded with five counselors and Harper to help. The canoes were set up and ready to go for all of them. Once they were in position, Harper got on a megaphone.

"Alright boys, you all comfortable and ready?" Everyone cheered. "Good. All you have to do is make it from here to dock one! Do not attack any other racers. Don't touch the shoreline. You can make it across however you like." There was a sudden splash into the water. Victor swam up behind his canoe with a wicked grin over his face. "On your marks! Get set!" BANG!

Victor took off with Keller. There was no chance in hell anyone was going to catch up to them. Elliot and Jiro paddled hard. Their arms pumping up and down as their paddles slapped the water. It took them awhile to get in sync. Over half the others pulled ahead of them.

"Damn," said Elliot as he paddled hard, "We gotta go faster somehow..." Elliot huffed as he watched Jiro rowing as fast as he could. The lion kept his pace with Jiro. He could feel himself starting to tire out. Elliot heard the booming sound of the words "Finished!" from dock one.

Elliot sighed but he was determined to at least help them get a decent finishing place. Him and Jiro soon found themselves in a three way battle for third place. Zahir and his partner Dirk was among them. Dirk was a huge bull with massive arms. He had both paddles which he was using to propel him and Zahir along rather rapidly. That was Zahir's game. He was using muscle to keep him on top.

Helmut and Sterling were working in sync really well. They were both determined to not let Zahir and Dirk pull ahead. Another canoe came up from behind. It was a rat and a hyena. Adding in a fourth competitor for next in line. Elliot sighed as he tried to pick up the pace as they approached dock one. He saw Luke and Allen pass in for second place. Him and Jiro were neck in neck with the three others. Elliot pushed as much as he could.

Elliot sighed as they all passed the line. He wasn't sure what position they had just ended with. They got to shore and unloaded from the canoe. One by one everyone got through the finish line. Elliots arms felt like jelly. He'd never rowed so fast in his life. He watched as the judges sat with Harper, looking at the footage. After a few minutes of discussion, they were satisfied.

"Congratulations to Victor and Keller for winning this one!" Harper said into his mic, "I'd say they had a shark of an advantage." That joke fell short, but he continued, "With four of you coming in so close in third, we have figured it all out. Your points will be reflected up on the leaderboard!"

There were teams tied for first and for second. Elliot and Jiro were moved down into the fifth position. They shrugged to one another and chuckled. Elliot was surprised how well they were doing. He hoped they could pick it up in the next few games. Harper went back up to his stage once all the scores got moved around.

"Alright gentlemen! Now that you've used up your arms, it's time to kill your legs!" Harper motioned over to a wide open field, "At the starting line, we'll go around with helping you and your partner to get ready for the shoulder run! You'll have to run from one end to the other with your partner. It's that easy!"

Elliot huffed. That wasn't a long enough break for him. Him and Jiro took their place at the line. Elliot squatted down and Jiro hopped up onto his shoulders no problem. He saw Allen glaring over at Zahir. That wolf was determined to beat the cheetah at his own game. Once Harper and a few of the other counselors had made sure everyone was mounted up and good to go, the dingo went off to the sideline. Down at the far end, the judges and the rest of the crowd were waiting.

"Alright!" the dingo shouted into his megaphone, "Remember, this is a straight down run. No touching or interfering with other runners! Ready! Set!" BANG!

Elliot squeezed his arms tight around Jiros legs as he took off. The lion realized that he was probably going to die once he hit twenty yards. Smoking was taking its toll on him. Elliot felt his heart pounding as he could feel the strain at fifty yards. He did all he could to push himself. He felt Jiro determinedly grip against his mane. He had to do it for him!

Elliot saw several runners pass the line before he got there. He couldn't do it. He started to pant and wheeze as it finally caught up to him. We felt so winded as he stumbled across the finish line in eighth. He collaped to his knees as Jiro slid off his back. He laid down and held his ribs as he caught his breath. "Never....again..." he gasped.

He looked over to see Allen and Luke hopping up and down in excitement. The lion laughed. Allen got his wish. Zahir and Dirk came in second though. That wouldn't put much distance between them. Elliot huffed as he was still trying to catch his breath. Jiro was rubbing on his belly which felt really nice. The bat smirked down at him.

"Next round," Elliot chuckled as he ruffled the bats head fuzz up.

Jiro laughed and gave him a smooch. Elliot blushed from the very public affection. Elliot finally managed to function again as he got to his feet. The smell of food washed over him as everyone was heading back to the main stage. Brett, Hank, and a few counselors were hard at work getting food cooked up for everyone. Everyone was more interested in the leaderboard before they headed over for food.

Harper had hopped up to the counselors to deliver them the scores. After a few minutes of shifting names, it was all updated. Elliot sighed. Him and Jiro had dropped down to sixth. Luke, Allen, Victor, and Keller were all tied for first though! Elliot was glad his friends were doing so well. He turned around and Jiro had his ears down as he looked up at Elliot. The lion smiled and hugged the bat to him. Jiro held onto him tightly.

Elliot let him go and held up the ok sign, "It's ok. We're having fun!" Jiro smiled as he leaned into Elliot for another hug. Jiro grabbed Elliot's hand to bring him to food. Elliot happily went with. All this exercise had given him a voracious appetite. The smoke blew over them as they approached the barbeque. Elliot started to drool.

"Elliot!" Brett boomed as him and Jiro approached, "You're doing good handsome man." He pointed up at the leaderboard, "Hope you can pick it up in the next few games. I'll be cooking for the private dinner." He winked at Elliot.

Elliot chuckled, "I'll try my best."

The wolf grinned and gave Elliot a huge burger, "Keep it up, babe! I'm rootin' for you!"

Elliot blushed as he took the burger, "Thanks...cutie." Elliot wasn't sure how to respond to him. The wolf smiled and winked before moving on to the next patron. Elliot found Luke and Allen and took a seat with them. Jiro sat down next to him and pulled out a small notepad.

"Great run guys!" he wrote to Allen and Luke.

"Thanks!" said Allen as he motioned to him, "It was nice to finally wallop Zahir and Dirk."

"You guys are tied with my roommates," Jiro responded, "You may have the advantage for the next round, but Victor won't go down easily on the two games after."

"Yeah," said Allen, "We'll see how things go. Depending on who we get matched up with in volleyball will really determine whether or not we can keep our lead."

"There's still two games before that!" Elliot retorted, "There's no way I'm letting you take the next one."

Allen grinned, "Wanna up the ante then?"

Jiro raised an eyebrow and took the pad from Luke, "YES! I believe in Elliot."

Elliot blushed and took the pad, "Thanks Jiro, but I'm not so confident." The bat punched him in the arm and gave him a broad grin and two thumbs up. "Ok, I guess. Whatcha got?"

Allen grinned as he took the pen, "First place gets to mount the losing team."

Luke protested, "Hey! I...I d...didn't think you'd go t...that far. There's l...literally any other thing you c...could have them do."

Elliot laughed, "Or you do."

Jiro held out his hand. "Looks like it's a deal," Allen grinned as he shook the bats hand.

Elliot shook his head. The four of them bantered back and forth as they ate. Elliot wasn't quite sure if he was really ready for that. He simply had to beat them. The lion sighed as he was out of food. He wasn't sure if he should eat more. All this physical activity was weighing on him and he didn't want to overstuff himself.

Allen stood up and stretched himself out, "Rrrr...Man. This next one's gonna be rough. I dunno how some of these teams are gonna deal with getting two hundred pounds down the field. Med balls aren't easy to lift when they're this size. I suppose they can try and roll it."

"We do have an unfair advantage I guess," Elliot chuckled as he flexed.

"Careful old man," Allen smirked, "Don't wanna pull anything."

Elliot laughed. He was more than ready for this. Everyone had gathered back at the field where the shoulder run had taken place. There was a small ball at the starting line, and a massive one halfway down the run. Elliot never in his life knew this size medicine ball existed. There was also no way anyone could possibly roll it down the field.

Harper got on his megaphone, "Alright everyone! Get in position!" The dingo wandered around as all the teams got lined up and stopped at the midfield, "Here's how it's going to work! First team member is going to bring their fifty pound ball to the middle of the field and tag your partner. Second team member, when you are tagged, you may pick up your two hundred pound ball and you need to bring your ball all the way across the finish line. Since we have such a size difference among all of you, the judges have decided as a fair advantage that thirty seconds after first place crosses the finish line, we will release your second team mate from the halfway mark to run in to help you finish!" There was a wave of relief that washed over a few of the teams. The dingo wandered back out to the sidelines, "Let's do this thang! Ready! Set!" BANG!

Elliot watched as a few of the competitors struggled with their fifty pound balls. Jiro didn't have much trouble as he hoisted onto his shoulders. He managed to run with it and wasn't trailing behind too far. Elliot turned to face his ball as Jiro approached. He let out a yelp as Jiro dropped his ball and smacked him on the ass. The lion took a deep breath and hugged the ball up against himself.

"Rrrraaaghhhh!!" The lion yelled as he hoisted it up against his chest. He crooked his head up against the side as he wiggled it up onto his shoulder. The took off as fast as he could. He grunted with every step. He didn't care what place he was in. He was entirely too focused on holding that weight up as he jogged along. He could feel it starting to slip as he huffed and grunted. Elliot pushed himself as hard as he could as his back ached.

"Now's...not...the time....to show....my age," Elliot gritted his teeth. The lion stumbled across the finish line and dropped the ball. He landed on top of it, hugging his arms around it as he wheezed. He could hear applause and cheers as he laid there. The lion slid off the ball. Not even a second later Jiro was on top of him, hugging him and kissing him.

"We won!" he yelled loudly at Elliot as he grabbed him by his mane, shaking him.

"Holy shit! Really?" Elliot laughed as he hugged the bat. The lion laid back as he held onto the bat. His mind was totally blown. He didn't expect to beat out some of the other guys. He laid there waiting to for the race to end. Harper had made the call for partners to join the rest of the run. Elliot got up and stretched himself out. He felt many eyes narrowing in on him.

"Look at you!" Allen came up from behind and slapped his ass, "You were practically neck in neck with Dirk and Bran there at the end. If you didn't push to run at that last bit, you woulda bit lower."

Elliot laughed, "I stumbled at the end!"

Allen howled with laughter, "Are you kidding me? You won by accident? Oh boy. But now you're everyone's target!"

"Let them come at me," Elliot flexed.

Allen smacked his gut, "Don't get cocky you. We're still ahead, and winning."

"Ah, damn," Elliot rubbed his gut.

Everyone gathered back up at the leaderboard. They watched as names and numbers got swapped around. Sure enough, Luke and Allen were on the top. There were ties for third and for fourth. Elliot and Jiro were one of the ones in fourth. Jiro beamed up at him. The bat was satisfied they'd moved back up even if it was tied.

Harper was back up on the stage with his mic, "Alright everyone, down to the beach!"

Down next to the beachside were crates full of dodgeballs. Out in the water were five wooden pillars with two by fours screwed into them to make a ladder to get up to the top.

"Here's how it works," said Harper from the stage, "Five at a time, I'll announce the names of those that will take their spot on top of the pillars. When I say 'go', the participants have to stand on one foot atop the pillars. The rest of you get to chuck the dodgeballs at them. Try not to aim for the head, we don't need any unnecessary concussions. With that being said, the names will be selected randomly from this fishbowl. The last people standing at the end of each round will go into a final round so that we may crown an official winner. To keep track of points, we will be using a timer. We will add the times together of each teammate to have your final place in the competition. Those in the final four will only have their maximum times added to their teams efforts. However, the last one standing in the final four will win the overall game without needing to have good times. Good luck out there!"

"First up," Harper dug his hand into the fishbowl, "We have Keller... Hans... Gunner... Bran... aaaaand.... Elliot! Get on out there boys, the counselors will help you up."

All the competitors had stripped their clothes down. Each of them wearing the iconic Dad Camp speedos, except Keller and Bran who had been naked this whole time. Elliot chuckled to himself. He wondered if everyone forgot swimwear like he did or if they wore them because they came from the camp. The lion waded out into the water. The pillars didn't stick too high out of the water. Elliot judged them to be at least four feet. He climbed up the ladder and readied himself like everyone else did.

"Alright boys, everyone ready!?" Harper shouted out to applause and cheers. The crowd was ready. Everyone had already grabbed dodgeballs and were ready to wail on all of them, "Ready, set... GO!"

Elliot pushed up onto the pillar. He wobbled a bit as he steadied himself onto one foot. This was a lot harder than it looked. Especially when the first barrage of balls came flying and pelted all of them. There seemed to be a lot of aiming for legs. Elliot started laughing as Keller got nailed really hard and flew off into the water. The coyote flailed around as he tried to get his bearings. One of the counselors swam out and scooped him up.

"Damn you!" he shook his fist at everyone as he got to shore.

Elliot nearly lost himself a few times as he kept getting pelted. Bran got nailed in the back of the leg which caused him to slip. The big wolf made quite the splash as he hit the water. He was laughing mirthfully as he resurfaced. Elliot just had to outlast Hans and Gunner now. The dragon was taking the hits pretty good and seemed confident in his balancing. Hans was a small red fox, but he was pretty sturdy.

The barrage got worse as Bran got to shore and added to the group of muscle that was chucking the balls like cannons. Hans went down as he got double pelted. Elliot glared over at Gunner. The dragon chuckled and grinned. Elliot nearly lost his balance as a ball slammed into his leg not on the pillar. He threw his arms up as he hoped to grab the air to maintain his balance. All the balls were now focused on just two of them. Elliot now saw the difficulty in this as he got pelted by ball after ball. Elliot saw Gunner slip off his pole as a volley of balls slammed into him.

"Oh shit..." said Elliot as he was now the primary target. He wanted to stay up there as long as he could. Being built like a brick wall had its advantages. Even a wall comes down after being slammed into continuously. Elliot plummeted down into the water as it felt like he just got hit by some well aimed rockets. He broke the water to hear cheers of victory.

Elliot swam up to the shore and shook himself out. His body ached all over. Those guys really didn't hold back. Harper got back on the mic to congratulate everyone in the first round. The dingo went back into his fishbowl to announce the next round of players. It was Elliot's turn to get some revenge.

Chucking the balls as hard as he could at the participants was rather fun. He felt really bad for Jiro when he went up to take his position. The bat had covered his head in his arms up on the pillar. He held in pretty well as he dropped third in his round. As the rounds passed, Elliot sized up his competition he'd be facing.

Helmut the ibex was no surprise. Him and Sterling were always determined to master any game. A pretty average looking hyena named Apollo would also be in the round. His team has been on the bottom the whole time so Elliot was surprised by this turn around. The last one was going to be the guy to beat. Jules the kangaroo. He stood up there like it was nothing with his arms and legs crossed. He also had the top time to beat which was double what Elliot did.

"Alright! Final round!" Harper excitedly wagged his tail, "You boys are true warriors. Elliot, Jules, Helmut, and Apollo! Assume your positions!" The dingo chuckled at his innuendo as the four of them went out and got up on their pillars, "Ok. Everyone ready your balls and get ready to fire. Three, two, one, GO!"

Elliot sighed as he found himself getting pelted rather hard again. He had a feeling he'd find some bruises later. The four of them kept their stance for quite awhile. Elliot was surprised to see Helmut go down first. The ibex looked pissed when he resurfaced. Elliot soon found that anger coming from a few well aimed balls at his legs. Helmut was out to get all of them as he yelled at them with every throw he chucked.

He heard Helmut yelling at Sterling as the tiger was trying to get him to calm down. "Dude, come on," the tiger tugged at him, "You're embarassing us." This made Helmut calm down. He always had an austere demeanor and this wasn't like him. Sterling pulled him away from the crowd which distracted from them throwing balls. Which occured to the crowd they were all competing.

A fresh barrage of balls came flying into them. Jules kept his same position the whole time. His arms and legs crossed. Was he meditating? Elliot tried to concentrate on keeping his stance once he felt his leg lock up. He finally fell into the lake after a fresh slew of heavy hitters nailed him in the back of the legs. He swam to shore and joined in to take the final two out.

Apollo looked so determined to not let go. The hyena looked like he was about to cry but he gritted his teeth and took every hit. Jules was a monster. It was almost like anything that hit him didn't even effect him. This was like watching one of those war films where one person was overcome by many enemies. Hit after hit of balls slammed into the both of them. Finally one of them toppled down off of his pillar. There were cheers and high fives going around.

"Holy smokes! You guys looked like you had something to say to some of these guys," Harper laughed as he got past the final results of everyones times, "We have all the times here now and we'll be reshaping the scoreboard now. Congrats to Jules for winning this round for him and Bran. You guys almost caught up to everyone!"

Bran was hugging Jules against his body swinging him around. Jules was showing some emotion now as he laughed from being whipped around by the big wolf. Elliot was happy to see that him and Jiro had moved up to a tie for third. Now for the volleyball game. He wondered who he was going to be teamed up against.

Harper was talking to a group of the competitors and nodding his head. He took center stage again, "Alright folks, we'll only be having four volleyball games! Our last place contestants have kindly bowed out from the competition. Everyone, give them a big hand. They fought hard." The dingo applauded with everyone, "Now, onto the final round! This will determine the ultimate victors! The teams that will be facing off are!" The dingo had a fishbowl brought up to him and he dove his hand in, "Luke and Allen versus Helmut and Sterling!" The dingo brought out two more, "Gunner and Holt versus Henry and Apollo!" Two more, "Bran and Jules versus Elliot and Jiro! That leaves Victor and Keller versus Zahir and Dirk! We'll start with that last group, so the rest of you rest up and limber up. This could turn around the whole competition for you."

"Do it naked!" the crowd started to chant.

"Do it naked?" Harper asked slyly, "Judges, what do you say?" The dingo grinned as he got four thumbs up. The dingo slid his speedo down and chucked it out to the crowd of howls, "New rule just now, you must do it naked. I swear, we add this new rule every year! We'll call this an easy distraction for some of you."

Elliot stood there dumbfounded. Why did things like this keep happening to him? He sighed. He was about to be naked in front of everyone while competing in a game. He hoped this wouldn't distract him from actually doing well. All the competitors stripped their clothes off. The first game between Victor and Keller and Zahir and Dirk was quite one sided. Victor did a majority of the saves. Keller did his best as he ran around diving after the ball. Zahir and Dirk high fived as they got the game point.

"Ugh, we tried!" Keller cried as he slumped down on the ground, "I'm sorry I'm so short Victor."

The shark laughed as he patted Keller on his back, "It's ok puppy. We had fun."

Gunner, Holt, Henry, and Apollo were next. Gunner was a hammer shot. The dragon didn't hold back at all. Henry and Apollo kept up though. They worked really well together. In the end, Gunner and Holt took the victory. Elliot and Jiro were up next. They were going to take on Jules and Bran.

Elliot was up to serve. He'd never played this game before. Bran stood there naked and beefy, looking overwhelming. And Jules looked like this was just another casual day for him. The lion threw the ball up and slapped it. It sailed over the net and out of bounds. Jiro laughed at him. The lion stuck his tongue out at him. Jules took the next serve and hit it perfectly over. The four of them went back and forth on points. One by one they climbed until it was tied ten to ten. If Jiro and Elliot won, they'd be in third!

Bran sent the ball sailing over. Elliot jumped up and hit it as hard as he could over the net. Elliot panicked as the ball slammed into Jules's face. The audience ohed as the kangaroo fell back. Bran made a leaping dive to hit the ball back up and over. Jules shook off the hit as he got back up and grinned as Jiro hit the ball back over. It was Jules's turn to jump up and spike it. Elliot backed up to ready himself. The kangaroo tapped the ball lightly and it landed into the sand with a plop.

Bran hugged the kangaroo up against him, "Oh my baby! Are you ok?"

Jules laughed and patted the wolf on his back, "I'm good big guy. Put me down." Jules marched around the net, approaching Elliot. The lion didn't know this guy so he didn't know what to expect. The kangaroo held out his hand, "Good game man."

Elliot took his hand and shook it, "Yeah. Sorry about the face shot..."

"No worries," the kangaroo grinned, "I take hits like that all the time."

"Oh, heh," Elliot softly smiled, "Still, I feel bad."

Jules gave Jiro a strong hug and patted his back. Bran gave both of them bone crushing hugs and hearty congratulations on tying the overall game points with them. Those two were really good sports. Elliot and Jiro took a seat near the sidelines. This next game was going to seal his fate. Luke and Allen just had to max out their score and they'd win. Helmut had recollected his senses as him and Sterling were up to serve.

They all worked well together. Each duo knew exactly what their teammate was good at. Luke would set up hits for Allen every time the ball came their direction. The wolf would power slam every shot over. Sterling was quick on his feet. He seemed to be the support for Helmut as the ibex sent every shot over as hard as he could.

They came up to the same moment that Elliots match was. Ten to ten. Allen had the ball to serve. The wolf tossed it up and hit as hard as he could. Helmut dove for it and the ball went sailing out of bounds. Sterling ran out into the crowd as he hit back at Helmut. The ibex scrambled back up to his feet and bounced it back over the net. Luke bumped it up for Allen. The wolf jumped up high and slammed his hand into it.

Helmut leapt up and swatted it straight down. Neither Luke nor Allen reacted fast enough. They both yelled out as the ball slammed into the sand. The crowd erupted with cheers. Harper stood up and started shouting into his megaphone, "It's not over! It's not over!" The crowd quieted down.

"It's not over," the dingo repeated, "The scoreboard is now tied for first place. We can't have four winners! We will now go into sudden death! The first team to score the next point wins. Allen and Luke, you get to serve."

The crowd settled back in. Everything became eerily silent as all eyes were on the two teams. Luke handed Allen the ball. The wolf huffed as he looked determinedly forward. He served the ball over the net. Sterling hit it up for Helmut. The ibex hit it down and Luke hit back over. They continued back and forth. Neither team was willing to lose this.

Allen ended up diving for the ball as Helmut spiked the ball right into Lukes hands. The ball sailed towards the net. The wolf hit it over as he skidded and fell. Luke was on his own as Helmut came back up and slammed it back over.

"HELMUT AND STERLING WIN!" the dingo shouted over the cheers and applause of the crowd.

Luke dropped down next to Allen who was still on the ground. The two of them hugged. Elliot was happy to see this loss didn't hurt them. That was true love if he ever saw it. The scoreboard got updated as everyone celebrated Helmut and Sterling's win. They seemed to be out to win every competition this year. Elliot looked up and saw that him and Jiro tied in third with two other teams. Gunner, Holt, Bran, and Jules scored forty-three points just like they did.

Bran and Gunner were jumping around and chanting, "We're number three!"

Elliot shook his head as they came bounding over to him,"Oh no!"

"We're number three!" they jumped circles around him.

"Calm down boy," Jules tugged on Bran's arm. The wolf wagged his tail as he squatted down next to the kangaroo, acting like a dog. Jules shook his head, "I'm Jules by the way." He held out his hand.

"Elliot," the lion shook his hand yet again, "I guess we're number three."

Jules chuckled, "Yeah. Maybe while Sterling and Helmut are out joining their luxury cruise, number threes can have their own dinner and booze?"

"Sure," Elliot laughed, "Can I bring the number two's? I think they need it."

Jules grinned, "Of course. Luke and Allen are old friends. Really anyone can join. This was a hell of a day."

"Great, uh...the dining hall?" Elliot asked.

"No other place is better," Jules grinned. Elliot realized the kangaroo was checking him out. Jules winked as he got his fill and dragged Bran away. Elliots ears burned. Allen and Luke came up behind him.

"You lucky bastard," Allen smacked his ass, causing him to jump.

"Hey now!" Elliot laughed.

"If we got teamed up against anyone else other than those two," Allen said.

"Uh huh," Elliot crossed his arms, "That's just an excuse."

"Yeah, yeah," Allen chuckled, "I was really looking forward to ramming your ass."

Elliot laughed, "Oh yeah? Who says I can't have Luke?"

The rat blushed, "Y...yeah..."

Allen guffawed, "I swear, you two keep teaming up on me. Though, Jiro's got a nice ass."

"Yes he does," said Victor.

Jiro was leaning up against Elliot, practically napping. "I suppose we should take a nap before tonight's festivities." The lion scooped Jiro up. The back giggled and smiled up at him. Elliot grinned, "See you guys in the dining hall later for the loser celebration."

"We are going to join you," said Allen as he picked up Luke.

The rat squeaked, "S...sounds g...good to me!"

Elliot gathered up his clothes before setting off with Jiro. The bat giggled as Elliot slung him over his shoulder. He didn't seem to mind in the least bit. Elliot got back to the cabin with Allen, Luke, and Jiro. The four of them simply collapsed in bed.

"Uggh," said Elliot, "I'm gonna set the alarm for two hours."

"Fine by me," said Allen as he rolled onto his side, wrapping Luke up in his arms and legs.

"W....watch all of sleep through it," Luke chuckled.

"I can guarantee one of us will," Elliot laughed as he laid down against Jiro.

The bat smiled as he smooched Elliot on his nose. The lion wrapped his arms around him. Jiro nestled up against him. Elliot soon found himself dozing off. The lion sighed as if felt like he just fell asleep when the alarm blared. He rolled over and slapped the top of the clock.

"Five more minutes..." Allen mumbled.

Elliot rolled out of the bed. He stretched himself out before reaching down to pull his shorts on. He forgoed bothering with a shirt as he shook Jiro. The bat swatted at his paw. Elliot chuckled as he swatted the bats ass. He groaned as he rolled over. Jiro stuck his tongue out up at Elliot. Elliot hand him his clothes as he sat up. He sleepily rubbed his eyes and yawned.

Elliot went over and flopped down on top of Allen and Luke. Allen groaned. Luke moaned. Whoops. Elliot laughed as he shook the both of them, "Come on boys, get up so we can eat and go to bed again."

Allen laughed as he sat up, his red rocket pressed up against his chest, "Oh man. Alright. There better be a good replacement for Brett and the Guardians while they're all out enjoying their cruise."

Elliot chuckled, "I'm sure they found replacements."

The four of them rounded themselves together. Jiro held around Elliots arm as they made their way to the dining hall. He was nuzzling up against him as they walked across the grounds. Elliot held the door open for them. The smell of burning food wafted through the hallway.

"Yeah, they sure did find replacements," Allen laughed as he sniffed at the air.

They entered the dining hall to the sound of singing. There were several wooden barrels on top of the front table with wooden mugs stacked around them. There were several patrons and counselors pounding back drinks as they sang very off key. There was some black smoke blowing out of the kitchen.

"What the hell did we walk in on?" Elliot laughed.

"N...no idea..." Luke chuckled as he shook his head, "B...but I think we should j...join in."

They approached the rowdy crowd as Pascal came dancing out to them, carrying a huge platter full of turkey legs and ribs. All of them looked a little over kicked. "Alright boys!" Pascal shouted as he slammed the trays down on the tables, "I burnt things a little, but it's still edible! Just drink up and it'll loosen the flavor!"

"Damnit Pascal," Harper pounded his fists on the table, "You had one job you magnificent bastard! And it looks beautiful!" The dingo spilt his drink over himself as he got up to give the wolf a hug. Pascal picked the dingo up as his paws sunk against his ass, swinging him around in circles.

"You're beautiful!" Pascal shouted at him as he set him down.

"I know!" Harper shot back before plopping down into his seat, "Eat up boys! It's time to feed and be merry. You fuckers fought good today."

Victor ran up to Jiro and hugged him up. Jiro and him signed back and forth. Elliot was happy the bat had someone easier to talk to. They had a lot of fun today despite not communicating very well. Elliot would have to work on learning some more signs. Luke and Allen got sucked into the crown of partiers as their hands got stuff with mugs full of ale. Someone came up on Elliots side and offered him one.

"Oh, thanks!" said Elliot as he took the mug from Jules.

The kangaroo smiled, "Glad you could make it. Pascal is not the best cook, but he tries."

"Hehe, he is a people pleaser," said Elliot as he sniffed the ale. It smelled sweet. The lion tipped the mug against his lips and drank some down. "Damn, that's some good stuff."

"He can make an ale," the kangaroo knocked his mug against the lions.

"You're kidding?" Elliot laughed, "He made this?"

"He makes a fresh batch for the camp every year," Jules said, "He brought twenty barrels this year."

"ELLIOT!" Pascal zeroed in on the lion and hugged him, picking him up like he did the dingo, "Oh man, you did so good today! I'm proud of all three of my boys! How's the ale? How are you? I haven't seen much of you guys the last few days."

Elliot laughed as Pascal sat him down onto the table, "I'm good Pascal. I'm having fun. How are you?"

"I'm great. I'm glad you're having fun! I'm drunk. But I'm great. And I'm cooking," Pascal nodded, "Oh shit! I'm cooking!" The wolf ran back off into the kitchen.

Elliot chuckled, "I've a feeling it's going to be an interesting night." He chugged down the rest of his ale and went to get more. He settled down into a seat near the edge of the crowd. Jules had been snatched away by the big wolf Bran. Everyone was certainly being more friendly than usual with one another. The lion sighed. Inebriation certainly was a way to cut down on inhibitions.

Elliot chugged down several mugs and ate through several plates of meat. The food wasn't all that bad. Kind of burnt. Elliot finished with the meat and watched the crowd interact. Things were getting a little racy. The lion blushed as he realized he was overdressed as most everyone had taken off their clothes. He sighed as he got up to refill his drink. He decided to go out the back door to the balcony.

The lion grabbed his usual seat as he looked out over the lake. He could see the yacht stopped out in the middle. He wondered how their evening was going. Probably nothing like what was going on inside the dining hall. Elliot smoked and drank outside as the singing and partying continued inside. He had his feet propped up on the railing as he enjoyed the weather. He heard the door open and close and footsteps approach. He was too lazy to turn around. He blushed as someone started to massage his shoulders.

"Oh my sweet Elliot," Pascal said as he rubbed away on him, "Here he is, away from the crowd yet again. Guess I have to loosen him up and rescue him."

Elliot laughed as he took a long drag from his cigarette, "I'm just being modest."

Pascal squatted behind him, digging his paws in more as he massaged deeply into the lion's shoulders, "You've made incredible progress. You've even opened up. And you even dropped your modesty at the games earlier. Quite a few admirers in the crowd as they watched you play nude volleyball."

"I'm just not entirely sure what I want," Elliot responded.

The wolf chuckled as he gave Elliots shoulders a playful rub. He stood up and swung his leg around the lions lap. Elliot blushed as he was fully nude and sporting an erection as he sat down onto his lap. The wolf gave him his cheeky grin and wink.

"What about what others want?" The wolf hung his arms around the lion's neck. He gave a playful grind down against him as the wolfs prick pressed against the lions gut.

Elliot huffed, "Pascal...I uh...Wooo.. .Uhm... Fuck."

Pascal grinned as he pressed his nose to the lions, "Elliot. I'm drunk right now and horny beyond all belief. However." He hiccuped, "Whoop, pardon me... However, I'm not going to ask anything of you because I really really am quite fond of you. You're such a gentle and respectable guy. I very very want to see you happy. It hurts me to see you so... so unsure. Reserved? I dunno. But, you, handsome lion," the wolf poked the lions nose with his finger, "We should get together a bit more, huh?"

Elliot was blushing deeply as Pascal was just as sweet drunk as he was sober. The lion was also unsure what to do about the drooling prick on his belly. His fur was soaked in Pascals pre as the wolf was wiggling his hips slowly, smearing it all around.

Elliot huffed yet again but managed to get words out, "I guess I'm open to explore my options. Seems to be the thing to do here."

Pascal chuckled as he leaned down on the lion, "I'm so happy to hear you say that." The wolf flexed his huge arms around Elliot. His tail was wagging happily behind him as he laid there against the lion. Elliot slid his arms around the wolf to return the affection.

"Pascal," Elliot said, "Am I going crazy? Or am I just discovering things about myself that I've been too scared to open up to? I have to admit, I don't know what I'm doing anymore, and I'm kind of scared."

Pascal increased his grip around the lion, "No... No, no, no. You're not going crazy handsome lion. You're just discovering new things about yourself. You yourself said you'd explored this side of yourself in the past. I've always just done what felt natural. Being nice and friendly has always been natural. I've always had a burning desire to satisfy others. Guys like you and everyone else here has always welcomed me with open arms because of how I act. Like right now, I'm nine sheets to the wind, grinding my dick against you, but I know not to act on that red beast when I'm stupid drunk. If you told me I was making you uncomfortable, I'd leave you alone. And you know what, not once have you told me to leave you alone. So, I know, deep down inside of you, you know what you're doing is perfectly fine. You're confident and strong. And handsome and absolutely adorable."

Elliot laughed, "Alright, quit buttering me up. I get it." The wolf sat back and grinned down at the lion. Elliot shook his head, "What is it about some of you? It's like I've been lost so long, and you guys keep pumping my head full of things I need to hear. I feel joy like I haven't felt in so long."

Pascal grabbed Elliot by his mane as he leaned in, "Cherish that joy Elliot. Remember all the good things you've received here. You're a gift of a friend I want to love forever."

Elliot blushed, "You're too sweet. I still don't know what it is you guys see in me."

Pascal leaned in close, "Only the best, Elliot." The wolf kissed the lion, "The absolute best."

Elliot hugged the wolf down against him, "Thanks Pascal. What say we drink the night away?"

"You gonna get naked like the rest of us?" Pascal chuckled as he tugged at the lions shorts.

"Do I have to?" Elliot laughed.

"No," Pascal grinned, "You can be Elliot. The one we know and love."
