#1 of Age Regression

A YCH Story I wrote for AR April over on FA. Frinkel, Myst and Char belong to their respective owners over there.

The Dark Lord of the Plushie Kingdom has stolen the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness. It's up to two heroes to enter this kingdom and get the treasure back... However as soon as they step into this new world they find themselves in a rather diminished state. Now stuck in the form of small cubs they must press on in their efforts to save the world.

The Dark Lord of the Plushie Kingdom

By CalexTheNeko

"Far from here there is a magical land ruled by plushies! When this land was first created everyone lived in harmony and shared the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness. This treasure brought joy to everyone within the land and all were happy! But then one day... An evil Dark Lord appeared! Not satisfied with simply sharing the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness he stole it all to himself! With the power it granted to him he was able to take over the entire kingdom! Soon all the plushies were forced to bow down to him as an age of darkness began! Now... The kingdom waits for the day that heroes will emerge to take back the stolen treasure and defeat the Dark Lord once and for all!"

"I'm sorry... What?" The black cat stared blankly at the creature that was addressing him. He was an odd creature to say the least. It looked like a bright orange fox with three tails... But the tip of each tail was on fire.

"The Dark Lord! You are here to help me overthrow him right?" The fox-like creature asked. "I mean you came because of the flier!"

"Uh... Right..." The cat was holding the flier in question. He had seen a few of them posted around town. It read:

Looking For Adventure?

(Warning. Must be in touch with your inner child)

"I did..." The cat admitted. Truthfully, he had come more out of curiosity than other reason. He had assumed this must have been some kind of game or LARPing event. He hadn't expected the person he met up with to be play it so straight though. "I guess... That makes you Char?"

"Char-Char Von Rox!" The fox-like creature smiled. "The one and only! Most friends call me Char for short! And what's your name?"

"Um... I'm Myst..." The cat responded. "So-"

"Pleasure to meet you Myst!" Char grabbed Myst's paw and shook it eagerly. "Now did you bring any adventuring gear with you?"

"Um well... Not especially..." Other than the flier Myst didn't have a lot on him. He was wearing a dark brown jacket and a belt. Other than that he was naked of both clothes and gear. However as he looked over Char he didn't seem to have much more on him! Char wore a simple pair of pants and a shirt. He didn't seem to have any weapons or anything he might consider adventuring gear.

"Well that's probably for the best!" Char nodded eagerly. "It probably would have gotten lost going through the portal. We'll find new gear there! Come on let's go the Dark Lord is waiting!" With that he grabbed Myst by the wrist and pulled the cat along leading him out and into the street.

"Wait but I-" Myst started to protest but gave up fairly quickly. He hadn't actually agreed to play whatever game this was... But at this point his curiosity was piqued. If nothing else he wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it until he actually saw what this strange fox-like creature was up to.

And so Myst let himself be dragged to the local park. From there he was dragged towards the back where an old playground used to be. The playground itself had been closed off to have work done on it and a large gated fence blocked it off from the rest of the park. The chain link fence was a rather odd sight though. For some reason the fence was currently covered in blankets and towels. This had the effect of making it impossible to see beyond the gate and made the playground impossible to see from the rest of the park.

"It's through here..." Char slowed down and came to a stop in front of the gate leading into the playground.

"Is it now?" Myst stood on the tips of his paws as he tried to peer over the gate. He was trying to get a glimpse of what the old playground looked like. However the fence was too tall and whoever put the blankets over it had been incredibly thorough.

"We'll head inside soon..." Char looked around as if afraid someone might show up. "But I sense the presence of the Dark Lord."

"I see..." Myst assumed if this was a game then the 'Dark Lord' must be another player. For now he continued to try to see over the gate... But eventually gave up deciding it was impossible. "You know... I used to come here a lot back when I was just a kitten."

"And with luck you'll go inside as a kitten again!" Char smiled.

"That... Doesn't actually make any sense..." Myst gave an uncomfortable awkward smile. However before more could be said the two were interrupted.

"AHHHHHHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!" A loud laugh rang out from atop the gate. Char and Myst both looked up to see its source. Standing at the very top of the gate was a blue colored raccoon. He was dressed in nothing except a black cape... A cape which looked suspiciously like a towel that had just been tied around his shoulders. "So... You must be the so called heroes that would dare to defy me!"

"The Dark Lord Frinkel..." Char looked up at the raccoon. "We meet at last!"

"We meet for the first and last time heroes!" Frinkel shouted. "Well no... Next time we meet it will be the last! Let me try that again!" The raccoon disappeared over the edge of the gate then reappeared back atop it. "FOOLISH HEROES! We meet at last! And though it won't be the last time this meeting marks the start of your doom! DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!"

"That's what you think Frinkel! But no matter what evils you unleash we'll stop you!" Char shouted.

"Are... Are you two doing a bit here?" Myst asked.

"You will try!" Frinkel shouted ignoring Myst. "And you will fail! Did you forget? I control the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness! The one who controls the treasure controls the entire kingdom! There are none who hold the power to oppose me! But nonetheless! I look forward to seeing your efforts fail! AHHHHHHH HA HA HA HA HAAAAAAAAAAA!" With that Frinkel turned and leaped down from the gate disappearing into the playground.

"Now you know what we're up against." Char looked determined as he approached the gate. He gave a mighty shove and the gate swung open. The playground was still not visible through it. Instead there was a tunnel made out of blankets and towels that led further in. "But steel thy courage! I would not have chosen you as my companion for this quest did you not have the heart of a hero."

"I mean technically I just followed the flier here..." Myst held up the flier again. "I don't think there was much choosing done."

"It was destiny that brought you here!" Char corrected.

"Pretty sure it was the flier..."

"A flier of destiny!" Char insisted. "Now come forth! Let us defeat the Dark Lord and save the kingdom!" With that Char strode through the gate.

"Eh... Sure." Myst shrugged. "Guess I'll give this little game a try. What's the worst that can happen?" The cat followed the fox-like creature into the gate and tunnel of towels. "So... Did you two set this up? It must have taken a lot of work... And a lot of towels."

"This tunnel is the work of powerful magic!" Char explained. "It's a magic portal that only those with the pure heart of a child can enter! It will transport us into the kingdom!" Char continued on bravely. The end of the tunnel was in sight.

"If you say so..." Myst began to realize he wasn't going get any straight answers out of Char while the game was ongoing. For now he just followed him... But as he did he began to feel strange. There was a bizarre sense of vertigo... And he swore that his jacket was getting heavier on him. "I- I'm not feeling too hot."

"It's simply the portal's magic kicking in!" Char explained. "Don't worry... You'll feel better once the change is complete."

"What change?" Myst started to ask then paused. His voice had squeaked while he talked. That... Had been weird... "Do I sound funny?" His voice was higher pitched! And... His jacket really was feeling heavier! He looked too Char and noticed that Char was looking kind of funny too! Char's shirt and pants both looked too big on him. "Wait... What... What's going on!?"

"I told you already!" Char's voice was also much higher pitched. "The magic is kicking in! Didn't I say only one with the pure heart of a child could enter the kingdom? But don't worry! I'm sure we'll be fine!" As Char spoke he was struggling to walk. His pants were getting too baggy for him to continue in. He at this point casually stepped right out on them. He slowed down only to ensure he avoided catching his pants on fire with his tail flames. Once they were off he continued on pants-less as if this was completely normal. He was now clad only in his t-shirt which easily reached his knees.

"Wait... Are we..." Myst began to put the pieces together. His voice was higher pitched... Their clothes were too big! Everything was getting bigger! They were getting younger! He looked at Char... He had to be somewhere around eight years old now. He then looked down at himself. His belt had fallen off of him and was now sitting discarded on the floor. His jacket hung loosely off his body dragging against his shins. He had to be around the same age as Char. He was a little kitten again! And... Judging by the fact that his jacket was dipping lower and lower to the ground... He was still getting younger. "We've turned into kids!"

"Yup!" Char smiled widely clearly quite happy about it.

"But I'm not a kid! I mean!" Myst tried to protest. As he did he tripped and fell. His jacket was starting to drag on the floor now and made it quite a bit harder to walk normally. His paws kept getting caught on it. As he tried to stand up he found his legs were wobbly. He could still walk... But it was harder now! He looked at Char... Char was in a similar state. Char's shirt dragged against the ground and hung very loosely off of one shoulder. The neck hole had fallen down his other shoulder and now exposed his chest completely.

"I guess this is about as far as our old gear get us..." Char said He shrugged his shoulders and let his shirt fall off completely. He then took a few steps away from it now completely naked. He didn't seem bothered by his nudity or the fact that he was now a toddler.

"But but!" Myst squeaked. He tripped again fell over. This time he had to crawl out of his jacket and continue naked like Char. "I don't unde-" Myst tried to talk... But words were getting difficult. "It... But... Me... meooooow!" Finally words failed him completely. He could still think them properly but his body didn't seem to be developed enough to vocalize them.

"Yip!" Char gave Myst an encouraging bark. As he did Char tumbled down onto all fours as his body became legs lost the strength to stand upright. "Yap yip!" Char yapped happily. Despite the fact he had just been turned into a seemingly helpless infant he didn't seem even mildly disturbed by what had happened.

"MEOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" Myst yowled in annoyance. He couldn't stand up! He was so small... Not even a year old! He was probably only half a year old. The kitten struggled to sit up on his bottom and crossed his arms. He glared at Char. Clearly this was his fault somehow! But since he couldn't speak he couldn't demand an explanation.

"Yap!" Char responded happily. He crawled over to Myst and gave him a playful nudge.

"MROWL!" Myst flailed and fell over onto his back. "Mroooow." He gave a grumpy yowl and turned away from Char.

"Yiiiiiiiiip!" Char barked and poked at Myst. He then pointed to the end of the tunnel which was just a short distance away. "Yiiiip!" Char began to crawl towards the end of the tunnel.

"Mew!" Myst pouted and continued to face away from Char. After a few seconds he turned and saw the three tailed fiery fox was continuing on. He thought about the situation for a few moments... And he decided whatever was going on he didn't want to be left behind. He crawled on all fours and headed after Char.

Together... The two heroes headed into the kingdom. They were mere infants and now lacked even clothing... But they continued on to face the trials of the Dark Lord.

Meanwhile... in the Lair of the Dark Lord Frinkel

Frinkel sat upon his throne in his secret lair. The throne looked suspiciously like a bean bag chair and the lair looked suspiciously like a normal jungle gym. Anyone who saw it as those ordinary objects though was completely wrong of course! This was an evil lair and his chair was clearly a throne!

Frinkel had undergone some changes himself since he had first faced the heroes. Like the heroes he also had shrunk in age upon entering the kingdom. The blue raccoon was now a mere six month old infant. Still... Infant or not he was still the Dark Lord! And he still had his cape that was definitely not a towel! Sure... It dragged on the ground after him as he crawled... But it counted and still marked him as the Dark Lord!

Currently he was having a meeting. He had assembled his toughest warriors throughout the entire kingdom to discuss the matter of the heroes with. They sat in a circle before his throne. To the untrained eye... They were ordinary plushies. However... Frinkel knew these stuffed animals were far more than mere toys! They were his elite fighting force! They were his generals! They were the last line of defense between the heroes and himself!

"Chiiiiiiiiitter chit!" Frinkel squeaked in baby raccoon talk. He was calling attendance for each of his top generals to present themselves.

There was Teddy the Bear Berserker! None were stronger throughout the land than Teddy! This mighty bear's roar struck fear into the hearts of all mortal men! Teddy was known for his ferocity and his tenacity! He never got tired and never gave up! Surely no one could defeat him!

Then there was Snappy the Alligator! This alligator plush toy had rows of soft pointy plush teeth! They would make quick work of any enemy who approached! Snappy was known for his voracious appetite and willingness to consume all! Once the heroes faced him... They would find themselves soon within the belly of the beast!

And lastly... There was Frinkel Jr! Frinkel hadn't really decided what Frinkel Jr's special powers were yet. But they were going to be really cool! After all... Frinkel Jr was named after the Dark Lord himself! That meant it had to be cool! And why wouldn't it be! This raccoon plushie was a whole two feet tall! That made it bigger than the Dark Lord himself! He was sure... Frinkel Jr was the scariest monster at his disposal just as soon as he figured out exactly what he could do.

"Chiiiiiiitter." The Dark Lord Frinkel addressed his underlings. He wanted suggestions on how to deal with the heroes. He nodded as he 'listened' to their suggestions. After a few minutes he had reached a decision. "Chitter chit!" Frinkel squeaked and pointed dramatically. He fell out of his 'throne' as he pointed and had to quickly crawl back into it. His minions were nice enough not to mention this. Instead... They all stood at attention as they received their orders.

Soon his trap would be sprung... The heroes would never know what hit them.

The heroes meanwhile were making their way through the kingdom in search of the Dark Lord. As Myst looked around the little kitten couldn't help but noticed this seemed to be an ordinary playground. Everything looked so gigantic now since he had been turned into a little baby kitten... But it was still a playground.

"Meoooow!" He tried to voice his observations.

"Yip!" Char overruled them. This was clearly a magical kingdom and nothing else. Anyone could see that. After all... Only a magical kingdom would have... Magic swords!

Char crawled over to what the untrained eye might have seen as a swing set. But if you looked at it correctly anyone could see it was an ancient shrine. It was clearly a shrine dedicated to the coming of the legendary heroes! The two pieces of the shrine one might think were swings were actually markers... And beneath each of them!

The hilt of two swords stuck out of the ground.

"Yaaaaaaaap!" Char quickly crawled over to one of the swords. He made a show of struggling to pull the sword out of the sand. As it came out he tumbled backwards... Then getting back onto all fours he balanced himself on two legs and a hand while holding his legendary magic sword aloft with his other hand.

"Meow?" Myst gave Char a look as if to ask if he was really serious. Myst crawled over to the other sword and tugged it free of the sand easily. The 'magic sword' looked like it was just a cheap wooden toy to him. It was a small light weight one too! Granted if it wasn't... His body wouldn't be able to even use it... But he doubted this thing weighed enough to actually hurt someone with it if he tried!

"YAAAAAP!" Char suddenly let out a terrified squeak. Myst turned to face to see what he was looking at... And Char was pointing in the distance at a slide... No wait it wasn't an ordinary playground slide... It was a mountain!

Standing at the top of the mountain was a bear! The bear was almost as big as the two cubs! It slid down the... mountain... and landed on the ground near the two would be heroes. It let out a mighty roar! It wasn't audible! But it still was clearly roaring.

"Yaaaaap!" Char pointed his sword at the bear. He then began to charge... Or at least crawl quickly towards the bear.

"Meow..." Myst sighed. He couldn't believe he was stuck in such a ridiculous situation... But what could he do but play along right now? It's not as if he knew of any way to get back to normal on his own. "Mrooooow." Myst gave a half hearted battle cry as he also crawled in the direction of the bear.

The bear was a ferocious beast! And it was not one to give up! Char and Myst bopped it with their swords as hard as they could! But the bear refused to give in! Soon their infant bodies were getting exhausted just from the effort of swinging their weapons around! And still the bear continued to stand! Was there no end to this enemy's stamina?

"MROOOOWL!" Myst found himself getting into the fight and growing more determined. The sword attacks not having any effect on the enemy he decided to try something different. He dropped his sword and very slowly stood up on two legs. He couldn't balance himself on his feet long... His legs were too weak! But he only needed a second! He pounced at the bear! Or at least fell towards him... and landing against the bear he was able to drag it over onto its side as it hit the ground.

"Yaaaaap!" Char saw his chance! The fox-like creature swung his sword and smacked the bear in its stomach now that it had fallen over.

The beast was slain!

"Meow mrow!" Myst giggled. That had actually been a lot of fun! Sure he knew what the bear really was... But it was like being a real hero and then he had pounced it! And then it was struck! And bam! They had defeated an invincible monster.

"Yap!" Char barked and gave Myst a knowing smile.

"Mrowl!" Myst dropped his happy expression immediately. He crossed his arms and gave Char a glare. He hadn't forgotten that it was the fox creature's fault he was stuck in this situation! And he wasn't going to admit to having fun anytime soon!

"Yip..." Char sighed and rolls his eyes. Seeing nothing better to do... He continued to crawl on. The two were getting closer to the Dark Lord's lair.

Meanwhile at the Lair of the Dark Lord Frinkel.

Frinkel sat on his throne and glared down at his servants. He was well aware of the fact there was now one less.

"CHITTER!" Frinkel bellowed! Or maybe he squeaked... But the point was he was displeased with Teddy's failure and he wanted the others to know it! Now the heroes were one step closer to his lair! If they got the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness back then all of his plans would be undone! Failure was not going to be tolerated!

Frinkel gave his remaining subjects time to grovel before him and appease him. After what he judged was an appropriate amount of time he made a decision.

"Chiiiiiit," Frinkel looked at Snappy. "Chitter chiiiiit chitter!" The baby raccoon squeaked. He nodded and pointed at the plush alligator. His new plan was coming together. Teddy had failed... But now they were heading into Snappy's natural habitat! There the heroes would surely meet their end! Frinkel waited for Snappy to affirm that he would not fail!

With a plan of action in place he smiled to himself. The heroes' doom was coming for them. All he had to do was sit back and wait. They must have come up with some clever trick to defeat Teddy... But Snappy they would find was beyond mere tricks!

Across the kingdom... The heroes continued their journey. They were nearing the Dark Lord's lair... But a massive desert stretched out before them between them and their destination.

"Meow!" Myst crawled towards the edge of the desert. He meowed and put his paws against what he was fairly certain was just the border of a sand box on the playground. It seemed to him that they could just go around the sandbox. There was no reason to crawl through it!

"Yaaaap!" Char shook his head. There was only one path to the Dark Lord's lair and it lead through the desert. It was impossible to go around it! It was too big!

"MROWL!" Myst objected. It was very possible to go around.

"Yip yap!" Char argued back and shook his head. He wouldn't hear it. He crawled up into the sandbox. Crossing the desert was the only way!

"Mrooowl..." Myst slapped his forehead in frustration. He then held his sword in his mouth so he could use all four sets of limbs for crossing the desert.

The two started across the sand. The sun beat down on the two threatening to bake them in the desert heat. Myst found himself almost grateful to be without his jacket. Not having any clothes on at least made it a little cooler.

Suddenly... There seemed to be movement beneath the sands.

"Mew?" Myst stared in the direction he thought he saw the sand shift.

"Yap?" Char turned to look at Myst as if asking what was wrong.

"Mrow mew...." Myst blinked his eyes and shook his head. He must have been imagining things. Now he was the one starting to see fantastic things that weren't there. Yet... As they crawled on... There was movement again.

And then it appeared.

An enormous alligator suddenly leaped out of the sand! It flew high up into the air before landing atop the sand.

"MROOOOOOWL!" Myst's fur stood on end and he screamed. Plush toy or not he had not been expecting that!

"Yiiiiip!" Char's eyes went wide. How were they supposed to defeat an alligator in its natural habitat!

The alligator dove back under the sand... And began to move around in it. It was completely invisible beneath the sand... Except for the majority of its body stuck out above the surface! But other than that it was completely invisible.

"Yiiiiiiip..." Char crawled to stand close to Myst. He held his sword at the ready in one hand but was unsure where the creature was going to jump out from next. How were they supposed to defeat it here in the desert!?

"Meow..." Myst sighed. This was... A little silly. And how was the alligator moving around anyway... He looked around the sandbox trying to figure out how... Then he saw it... It looked like a thin bit of wire... Like fishing line! It was running from the alligator's head to the edge of the sandbox! When he looked in the direction it was he could swear he saw a pair of blue raccoon ears just poking over the side of the box. "Meooow." Myst knew how to deal with this. He began to crawl towards where the alligator was moving.

"Yip yap!" Char objected and held out a paw. It was too dangerous! Myst was going to get himself eaten!

"MEOOOW!" Myst objected and continued to crawl on. Then... As he got close to the alligator. He lunged out and with what few teeth he had... He bit the wire in two. The wire snapped... And the alligator stopped moving. Far on the other end of the sandbox there was what might have been a blue baby raccoon that suddenly recoiled and rolled backwards.

"Yip?" Char stared in disbelief as the alligator lay there motionless and defeated.

"Mew!" Myst puffed out his chest smugly. He then saw Char smiling at him and looked a little less smug! He wasn't having fun because he wanted to! It was just... If he was going to be stuck in this ridiculous situation at least he could show people up! Yet... Even as he turned away he could feel Char's smile. His ears flattened as he crawled on trying to complete his journey across the desert.

Slightly later at the lair of the Dark Lord Frinkel

"CHITTER!" Frinkel bellowed squeaked. How could two of his generals have been defeated now? The heroes must have cheated! Somehow they had severed the magical connection that let him control Snappy! How else could they defeat an alligator in its natural habitat? This was unacceptable! He was down to only one last general! And soon the heroes would be here! How was he supposed to fight them like this?

"..." Frinkel Jr gave his response. He was Frinkel's last and most devoted general. Of course! Frinkel Jr's power far outmatched that of the other two generals! And if Frinkel combined his own power with Frinkel Jr's... Nothing would be able to stop them!"

"Chitter!" Frinkel let out a manically evil giggle. Let the heroes come! With the combined might of Frinkel and Frinkel Jr all would be made to bow down before his might! The final battle was about to begin!

The hero cubs had finally made it to the Dark Lord's lair. Luckily it was pretty easy to infiltrate. Since it was built in a manner very similar to a jungle gym they could simply crawl through the bars to get inside. Now all they had to do was find where the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness was hidden and the kingdom would be saved!

"Yip yip!" Char was in good spirit. The adventure was proceeding just as smoothly as he hoped.

"Meooow." Myst could force himself not to smile... But even he was having a bit of fun with this.

"Chitter chit!" The voice of the Dark Lord rang out! It was a trap! The Dark Lord appeared! And behind him he lugged the largest plush toy that the heroes had ever seen! It was easily twice as big as any of the infants! Frinkel giggled and then crawled up on top of the raccoon plushie. Now the heroes faced both Frinkel and Frinkel Jr!

"Yiiiiiip." Char's ears flattened. Such an enormous monster it seemed impossible to defeat. How could the Dark Lord have had this one final ace up his sleeve this entire time?

"Mrow?" Myst was less than impressed. It was big sure! But it was still well a doll! He whacked it with his sword! Frinkel Jr didn't even budge as it was whacked. He whacked it a second time. Still nothing happened. Uh oh. He realized he might be in trouble.

"CHIIIIIIIIIIIT!" The Dark Lord Frinkel gave a shout from atop his raccoon mount. He was invincible now!

"YAP!" Char joined in hitting Frinkel Jr with his word. Char and Myst both began to hit it as hard as they could. But the stuffed raccoon was simply too big for them! They couldn't damage it or knock it over if they tried! Myst even tried to pounce it like he did the bear... But he didn't weigh enough to make it topple over!

"Chitter chir!" Frinkel chattered in triumph. Soon the heroes would be defeated! All he had to do was pick them off! And he had just the thing to do it! The baby raccoon had not come to this fight unarmed! He had the ultimate weapon of ultimate destruction on him!

BALLED UP SOCKS!

Frinkel threw down a few balled up socks at the heroes! He pelted Char right on the head and Myst on the back! The heroes were powerless to oppose him! He could sit up here on Frinkel Jr's back and they had no way of attacking back! All he had to do was continue to rain down attacks! Then he would be victorious!

"Yip yap!" Char gave a shout and shoved Myst out of the way right before he was hit by another sock.

"MROWL!" Myst yelped as he was hit. He stared at the sock on the ground as if it was an alien artifact. He of course knew what a sock was... But for the life of him he had never actually met anyone who ever wore them or even owned them in his life! Maybe this was a fantasy kingdom!

"Chitter chitter!" Frinkel giggled as he continue to rain sock after sock down on the heroes! They could do nothing but scramble for their pathetic lives as they tried to dodge his onslaught of socks! How long could they keep it up? They couldn't dodge forever and soon!

Soon!

Frinkel realized he had a problem. He was out of socks. He had thrown every last one he had.

"Yiiiiip?" Char looked up at him. The fox-like creature had a sock stuck on his head, and another one that was currently caught on one of his tails. The tip of it was starting to catch on fire from his tail flames.

"Mrow..." Myst was in a similar state. Multiple socks hung off his back and one was caught on his ear.

"Chitter..." Frinkel looked between the two. This was awkward. Right before his victory he had run out of ammo! Well... They still had no way of attacking back... And they must be exhausted! So he could still wait them out!

"Yip?" Char looked to Myst and smiled.

"Mrowl!" Myst smiled back.

The two heroes began to pick up the balled up socks off the floor.

"Chitter?" Frinkel looked down wondering what they were up too. Wait! They couldn't! They couldn't be hoping to turn his own powers back on him were they? No! It was impossible! These were powerful magical artifacts! They couldn't truly be strong enough to use them!

And yet... They did!

Char and Myst began to throw the socks back up at Frinkel! Many of them struck the raccoon and then bounced back down to the floor giving the heroes more ammo! There was no end to it! They crawled in a circle around the raccoon plush and ignored it! They focused all their power on the Dark Lord himself instead! They threw sock after sock!

"CHITTER!" Frinkel shouted. This couldn't be! How could he be undone by his own power! It was... IMPOSSIBLE! Frinkel flailed about! Then he toppled down from atop Frinkel Jr. He rolled down onto the ground and then lay motionless on his stomach. He had been defeated!

"MEOOOOW!" Myst let out a cheer as the Dark Lord was defeated. He completely forgot that he was trying to appear grumpy.

"Yip!" Char flashed a wide smile. He then crawled over to the throne Frinkel had used earlier in his lair. He pushed the throne aside... And there underneath it was the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness!

It was the most beautiful thing in the world!

It was a cookie jar and it was completely full of chocolate chip cookies!

Char opened the lid on the jar and removed two cookies. He immediately plopped one into his own mouth and offered the second to Myst. Myst happily accepted the cookie and began to nibble on it. Justice had been served! The heroes had won! And now that the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness had been recovered the kingdom had been saved! The Dark Lord Frinkel's reign of terror had come to an end at last.

"Chitter?" Frinkel let his cape fall to the floor and slowly crawled over where the heroes were enjoying their cookies. He looked at them with an absolutely pitiful expression.

"Mew..." Myst looked at the Special Treasure of Ultimate Specialness and then at Char. The two nodded in unison. Then Char produced another cookie from the jar and gave it to Frinkel.

"CHITTER!" Frinkel let out a happy squeak. Somehow... In that one moment... The heroes had not only defeated the Dark Lord... But found a way to redeem him and bring him into the light.

The adventure had finally come to an end... And what an adventure it had been! Still... The three of them were still infants. And they were exhausted from their journey. Char, Myst and Frinkel all climbed up onto the throne that had once belonged to the Dark Lord. There together they cuddled up to each other for warmth and took a well earned nap.

It would be one of many naps once they found out their regression was permanent.

The End
