#1 of The Cold Water Dragonoid

A brawler named Nathan is a poor sport. So much so, that he wakes up in Vestroia, transformed into a dragonoid! Can Nathan change his sportsmanship and find a way out of Vestroia?

(Hey guys! This is a fanfiction that I've started writing. I am a big fan of Bakugan and have been a fan since 2012. I love Bakugan so much that I decided to write a fanfiction with a good lesson to tell. I hope that you all will enjoy it!)

My name's Nathan. I live here on Earth. I remember the day that cards and marbles rained down from the sky. Being the kids that we were, we were too naive to know what they actually were. So we made a fun game out of the cards we found, not realizing their true powers and where they came from. Long story short, our world was in danger and Dan and his brawlers had to stop some super scary white dragon guy and save the world. It sure was scary, but what an experience it was! There'd never be anything like it again.

Speaking of Dan, I saw him not too long ago. After things had calmed down, I wanted to test my new skills as a brawler! So we battled together. Needless to say, I lost against his Neo Dragonoid. And man was I steamed that day. I was so sure I was going to win! I wanted to be the very best like no one ever was! And losing was getting in the way! When I got home, I threw my bakugan against the wall hard, as they ricocheted around my room. Then I went to bed and cried myself to sleep. That's when the unthinkable happened...

I woke up in a very strange world. I thought I was dreaming since I was not in my room. But it felt too real to be a dream. I was in a large field of beautiful nature and rivers.

"Ughhh...Where am I? And I don't quite feel like myself..." I said as I rubbed my eyes. That's where I realized I had claws instead of hands, and wings attached to my hands as well.

"H-huh? Th-this doesn't make any sense!"

I was so bewildered. Why do I have wings like a wyvern? Well at least I could fly. I flew over to the river and looked down at my reflection. And what I saw was not...me. I saw a yellow colored dragonoid. Looked just like Dan's dragonoid, but yellow. And my underbelly was a white color. I couldn't help but gasp in horror, and then look up as I screamed to the sky.

"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!"

After letting out that scream of terror, I heard a thud behind me.

"Stop shouting Nathan! You'll disturb the other Bakugan!"

The voice was familiar. I turned around and saw Neo Dragonoid, standing before me. I wasn't nervous about seeing him face to face before, but I was now...

"Drago? Is that you?"

"No, I'm a figment of your imagination. Of course I'm real" Drago chuckled.

"Drago, why am I a bakugan? What's the meaning of all this?" I asked. I really wanted answers.

"Calm down, Nathan. Don't panic. This is Apollonir's doing, something I agreed with him on. You were turned into a bakugan and sent here to to feel what it's like to be in our shoes, and so you can learn to be a good sport from now on. Apollonir saw how upset you were about losing. That's no way to be a brawler right?"

I growled at Drago. "I guess not. But I can't help it. How can I be the best if I lose all the time?"

"Now now Nathan. There's more to brawling than just winning and losing. It's about having fun too. I know how you can get back to your world. But there will be conditions you will have to fulfill first"

"Fine, Drago. But what are these conditions?" I growled some more.

"You will battle with each one of my friends. Tigrerra, Preyus, Skyress, Gorem, and Hydranoid. Then you'll battle me as well, before facing Apollonir, your ultimate test. To win each battle, you will have to be a good sport. Can you do that?"

"I can try..." I frowned at Drago.

"There is no try. Only do" Drago said sternly to me

"Oh great. You're quoting Star Wars?"

"Yeah. Dan is such a Star Wars kid..." Drago chuckled. "Anyway, you can stay with me for now, before we find Tigrerra. And you'll call me Master Drago"

"Okay, Master" I didn't like having to bow to anyone, but I knew better than to make Dan's dragonoid angry. I obediently followed drago back to his home where he rested.

"Make yourself at home, my student"

"Okay. I will" I said as I sat down on a rock, pondering things over. I was scared and nervous. How would I fare against Tigrerra? And not to mention the rest of the Bakugan? Only time would tell that. For now, I needed a nap. I laid down and wrapped my wings around myself, getting warm and comfy, as I closed my eyes to doze off.

"See you when I wake up, master..."

"You got it. I will wake you when it's time to go"
