Chapter 2

Jade sat in a small office, walls tan, wooden flooring and white ceiling. His diaper crinkled as his tail swayed nervously, he was here for a reason and Jade didn't like that reason. He twiddled his paws nervously as a gazelle looked up from her desk.

"Mr. Quire, you may go to the back now." Jade slipped from the chair and waddled passed the desk, a lion stood waiting in the last doorway at the end of the hall. Jade made it before long and walked in, the lion closed the door behind him, Archer sat in one of the chairs. Jade leaped into the chair beside him, and looked guiltily at his paws.

"Ok, Mr. Morgan, Your son has been having some trouble in day-care." The lion said, "today, He just disappeared ," Archer tensed, "Then we found him outside, someone had hung him from the tree by his shirt and he couldn't get down." Archer was upset, Jade could tell. "Who did it, are they being punished?" Archer asked.

"Unfortunately sir we don't know." Archer got up and picked up Jade. "Figure it out. Until then, he'll be staying home." He said before carrying Jade out of the office, Jade was carried passed the gazelle at the desk and out the front door.

"Am I in twouble?" Jade asked, diaper crinkling as his tail swished nervously.

"No buddy, you're fine you did nothing wrong." Archer replied. Setting the black kitten in the backseat and buckling him in. They drove home in silence, pulling into the drive Archer unbuckled Jade and brought him in the house. His mom was already home, he passed her as he carried Jade upstairs to his room.

"You wanna watch something on tv?" Archer asked his younger brother, setting him down on the bed.

"Sure." Jade responded, looking expectantly at the tv, "Pokemon!" Jade exclaimed as the tv came to life, Archer pulled out his phone and began texting his best friend. Hey you free to babysit my cousin for school this week? Archer texted. Sure Alex responded. Great Archer thought, shoving the phone back in his pocket, that's settled.

"Don't touch anything you know you're not suppose to touch." Archer told Jade, stepping out of his room.

Archer got home from school just as alex was leaving, Jade was sitting on the couch. Archer had talked to his mom about this, it'd been long enough, they couldn't wait any longer Jade had to know what happened. Archer sat on the couch beside the black kitten and switched off the tv.

"Wah-why'd you do that?" Jade turned to look at Archer as he asked, but the look on archers face told him this was serious.

"Jade, t-there's something I need to tell you." Archer's eyes clouded with pain as he spoke.

"What?" Jade asked, fear and confusion in his voice.

"Your p-parents they're d-dead." Archer said, pain in his voice, sadness in his gaze.

"What?" Jade exclaimed, "n-no can't b-be." Jade's eyes filled with tears and he crawled into Archer's lap, crying into his fur. Archer put a paw on Jade's back.

"It's ok, it's ok. Cry as long as you need to." Archer carried Jade up to his room, but didn't attempt to pry the kit from his chest as he settled down in an armchair.

Jade cried for several hours, before Archer looked down to find him fast asleep. Archer carried the kit to his crib and quietly untangled himself from Jade's arms and laid the kit in his crib. Archer tucked him in, kissed him on the forehead and sat back down in the armchair. I'll sleep here tonight he thought.

Suddenly Archer awoke to crying, he made his way to Jade's crib and lifted the kitten from his crib and Jade looked up at him

"Can I sweep wif you?" Jade asked, sniffling.

"Sure, Archer replied, sitting back in the armchair once again, but within a couple of minutes they were both asleep.

Archer awoke, the sun shining in his eyes, Jade was still fast asleep, he got up and walked to the kitchen and didn't wake the kitten in the process. Archer eased Jade off him and set the sleeping kitten on the couch. He then pulled Jade's bottle out of the cabinet and filled it with formula, warmed it up and sat down beside Jade. Jade stirred, looking up he opened his mouth to speak, but his belly growled instead.

"someone's Hungry" Archer said offering the bottle, Jade climbed into his lap and leaned back opening his mouth, Archer put the nipple in Jade's mouth, and the kit began to suckle.

Jade didn't speak much for the next few days, he didn't do much either just rode around in Archer's arms. Eventually though Jade's curiosity gradually came back, the light returning to his eyes one day he asked to go to the park, Archer happily accepted, it was the first thing Jade had asked to do in weeks.

"Want to go now?" Archer asked, hope in his voice, he thought he'd lost his kitten.

"Yeah." Jade replied, arms reaching up. Archer lifted the padded kit into his arms and carried the kit out the door to his car. Buckling Jade in he climbed in the front seat and started the engine, Archer pulled out of the driveway and onto the street, Jade stared around happily in the back.

Archer pulled to a stop at the park, jumped out and unbuckled Jade, who leaped to the grass and dashed towards the playground where a couple of other kids played. Archer bounded to catch up, sitting down at a bench to watch Jade play.

Jade toddled over to the slide, still his favorite, climbing up he met a young two tailed fox, wearing a tea shirt and cargo shorts.

"Hi." Jade said, but the fox just blushed and waved. "What's your name?" Jade asked.

"T-tails" the fox responded, shyly, fear scent sparked from his pelt.

"Wanna be friends?" Jade asked, holding out a hand. Tails just stared at the hand like it wasn't there. "Weally, your not gonna tease me?" Tails asked, looking at Jade in amazement.

"No, come on!" Jade grabbed him by the paw and leaped down the slide, tails squealed in alarm and suddenly they were flying!

"Woah, you can fly?!" Jade exclaimed, "Cool!" they set down next to a bench with two older foxes sitting on them.

"Tails did you make a friend?" The older female fox asked.

"No-" Tails began, before Jade pushed him out of the way, "yes I Jade Quire is Tails fwiend." Jade cut tails off, with his mini speech. "Aww." The older fox cooed, "your a cute kitten." She said, before Jade dragged Tails away.

Jade and tails played for a couple more hours before suddenly Jade stopped.

"Hey, you wanna go to my house?" Jade asked, Tails stopped, he looked a little scared. "O-ok" Tails replied, tho he sounded like he wanted the opposite. Jade walked up to Archer with Tails in pursuit.

"I have a fwend now." Jade said, as he leaped onto the bench and sat down beside Archer.

"Hello, What's your name?" Tails blushed, and looked at his paws.

"His name's Tails" Jade said, leaping to his paws.

"Oh where's your parents?" Archer asked, as two elderly foxes walked up,

"We're his grandparents." One of them said, holding out a hand, Archer shook it.

"Archer, older brother." Archer said.

"Tails is coming to my house," Jade boasted, "we're gonna have so much fun."

"Oh, are you, one of tails's grandparents said, seeing from Archer's face that this was news to him. "I'm sure we could arrange something soon."

"No, today today today!" Jade ordered, stomping his foot.

"Hmm. . . I guess I'm ok with it" Tails's grandma said, and Jade grabbed Tails by the paw dragging him away

"Come on!" Jade said as he dragged the surprised fox towards Archer's car.

Archer looked at Tails's grandparents.

"We'll follow you." They said, Archer nodded and began walking to his car.

Jade leaped in the car door dragging tails's paw behind him and soon after Archer got in the driver's seat.

"Where are my parents?" Tails asked, looking around.

"They'll follow in their own car." Archer replied, turning on the car and pulling out of the parking lot. Tails ripped off his shirt and pants muttering, "I hate clothes." clad in nothing but a diaper, and not a dry one, Tails settled down.

"If you hate cwose then why did you wear dem?" Jade asked, obviously confused.

"Grandma said to try wearing them to the park and if I didn't like it then next time I wouldn't have to." Tails said, looking like he didn't like them.

"We're here." Archer said turning the car off, he stepped out opening the back door, and both diapered kits leaped out Jade leading Tails in the house, Tails's grandparents pulled up seconds later

Chapter 3

Archer opened the door and before he could even walk in both kids had disappeared up the stairs. Jade led Tails's into his room, Legos lay spewed around the room, action figures and a leappad lay plugged up on a shelf. A crib on one side of the room, changing table on the other, fully stocked with diapers. Baby blue wallpaper and beige carpet, a typical nursery. Jade grabbed some boxes that sat in a corner and began building a maze

"Wanna pway a game." Jade asked. "I'll be the space explorer and you be the alien." Before long their imaginations took over.

Jade dashed down the corridor, the sound of pounding feet in pursuit. His space sit clinking together like the Stormtroopers on star wars, as he ran, he had a blaster clipped to his belt but he had no ammo. Jade turned a corner and almost ran straight into a zombie-robot-alien.

He spun around and dashed the other direction. His older brother Archer was in the security control room, opening locked doors as Jade needed them. Suddenly Jade turned a corner and was running down a long corridor, at the end was a locked door. Reaching the locked door he turned and pressed his back against it as a horde of zombie-robot-aliens scrambled around the corner. This is it, Jade thought, I'm gonna die, suddenly the door opened and he fell backwards. One of the zombie, robot, aliens had stuck a hand through when the door clamped shut. The hand hit the ground at Jade's feet, I could use that as bait, Jade thought picking it up and shoving it in his bag beside the diapers, space fuel, empty ammo clips, and walkie talkie.

Then he was off again, before long he came to a big circular room and as he entered the door behind him closed and locked the walls began to closed in suddenly he was lifted up off the ground, shattering the illusion of the imaginary space craft and it's zombie-robot-aliens. Jade's backpack fell and hit the ground, spilling it's contents, diapers, juice box(space fuel), Legos(ammo clips), toy walkie talkie, and a toy hand(zombie bait).

"Somebody needs a change." Archer said taking him to the changing table.

"I was about to win" Jade said in a pouty voice.

"Nu uh." Tails said, shaking his head, "I almost had you." Tails's diaper wasn't that dry either. Jade was changed and set back on the ground as Archer lifted tails up for a change. Quickly changing the young fox, Archer set him on the ground, beside Jade. They both ran off and continued playing.

Jade suddenly stopped playing and pointed at Tails.

"Your leaking." Jade said, Tails looked down and squealed in surprise.

"I-I'm so s-sorry." Tails stammered as he backed up, he tripped on a box and landed face first in the puddle, and Jade burst out laughing, Tails scrambled to a sitting position as he cried. Archer came in and picked Tails up off the floor.

"Don't tease me." Tails cried. Jade's laughter died in his throat at Archer's face, he'd done something wrong. . . But what? What had he done to cause tails distress? Archer carried tails out and soon Jade heard a bath. Jade sat in his room, he was still there when Archer came in later and cleaned up the puddle.

"What I do that make him so upset?" Jade asked, I wasn't trying to be mean.

"He's sensitive, all it took was him being embarrassed and then you laughing and he felt like he was being teased." Archer told Jade, as the kit sniffled.

"I'm sorry." Jade said as Archer gave him a hug.

"Come on, calm down, he left his clothes in the car and when we give them back you can apologize." Archer told the kit, lifting him into his arms, he carried Jade out to the car. They drove for several minutes before pulling up outside of tails house, Archer got out and went to get tails clothes but Jade already had them as he raced to the door.

Tails's grandparents opened the door and Jade rushed in, leaving Archer to explain, Jade found tails's room easily, pushing it open he found the fox sitting at a desk a book and some mechanical thing in front of him.

"Tails, I-I brought your c-clothes." Jade said, the fox turned and said. "Ok drop them in the corner and please leave me alone." Jade rushed forward and wrapped tails in a hug, the fox squealed in surprise.

"I'm sorry I laughed at you, please forgive me, I-I just t-thought it was f-funny when you tripped on that b-box, I didn't mean to h-hurt you." Jade sobbed, tails just went limp. "Please say something." Jade said, looking into the foxes dazed eyes.

"You made me wet." tails replied, Jade giggled a little.

"Your funny, but we're still friends right." Jade asked, hope in his voice.

"Yes, still friends." Tails responded, his fur flattening as he stopped preparing to be teased.

"Wanna have a sleepover tomorrow?" We could watch a movie." Jade asked, tails stood up from his project and nodded, lost in thought.

"I'll come." Tails said pulling some weird looking piece of metal and a hand full of screws, he sat back down at his desk and began to screw it on.

"Come on Jade let's go home." Archer said as he lifted the kit into his arms.
