#7 of Esoterica

Days beyond the grasp of obligatory assignments when I can escape the call to work in almost solitary confinement. A frosted office with luminous screens as portals to the outer world that dangles just out of reach; in frustration my lips are furled. A spark ignites a light in my synapses, a thought passes, and my mood relapses to shift me in a happy way knowing soon i'll be on holiday.

I escape the incessant grinding stone which drains my life and leaves me prone. 5 pm sounds the tone when I'm freed from work to head back home. Those busy thoughts are lost in hot water and soapy foam. A vacation always brings me a cloud of euphoric feeling that lifts my spirits and leaves my beast of burden kneeling. Tonight I dream of sandy beaches and cotton clouds that drift me through the ceiling, where sleep becomes a gentle swift that flies toward littoral healing.

My monolith of mercy on a beach beside bay drenched in glittering rays of amber sun which dissolve any dismay. The placid sounds of cordial birds drift in salt filled breeze and reflect across the ocean's face and dance among the leaves. I will have to leave this tranquil sanctum, set in a fortnight's time, but until then I'll just enjoy this drink with a slice of fresh cut lime.
