I don't know what to name this, so if you've got ideas, I'll use it if I like it I'll then shout you in the description.

Prologue

Jade sat on the couch the cartoons controlling his gaze, not many thoughts went through his mind as he watched the loony toons get up to the their normal shenanigans.

"Honey, are you hungry?" A voice cut into his concentration. Jade looked up to see his mom, a bottle in her hand, a smile on her face. Jade reached up for the bottle, eager for the formula, his pacifier fell from his muzzle and his diaper crinkled as he squirmed.

"I'll take that as a yes." His mom said sitting down beside him, he went limp as she lifted him into her lap and began to feed him. The whole world disappeared as he suckled it was just him and his mom, and that's how it would always be.

Jade awoke from his nap to his mom changing his wet diaper, yawning he looked up warmly at his mom.

"Morning honey." His mom said taping the clean diaper closed, she tickled his tommy getting an explosion of happy giggles. She lifted Jade from the changing table, holding him at her hip she carried him to the living room where Jade's father sat reading the newspaper. Nock Nock!

"Oh that must be the babysitter" Jade's mom said, "could you get that." Jade's father got up and answered the door, Jade, completely oblivious to what was going on, snuggled comfortably in his mother's arms as a young fox walked in soon after.

"Honey, this is Archer." Jade's mom said, handing the sleepy kitten to the fox, Jade resisted at first, but as soon as he was in the fox's arms he couldn't help but love how soft his fur was.

"You'll get along fine." Jade's mom said, as Jade cuddled up to Archer. Jade was so wrapped up in how soft and cuddly the fox was he didn't notice his parents walk out the door. Archer carried the cuddly kitten with him as he made a bottle of baby formula and stuck it in the fridge, Jade watched from the shoulder of the fox as his home moved around him, and before long they plopped down on the couch.

"Someone's in a cuddly mood today." The fox said untangling himself from the kitten and picking up the remote. "What do you wanna watch." Archer asked the kitten, who looked up shyly at his baby-sitter.

"Cawtoons!" Jade replied happily, before snuggling up against Archer once again, as the fox flipped the channels till Cartoon Network came on. They watched the show for couple of hours before Archer got up and Jade too lost in his cartoons didn't notice his absence. Suddenly Jade felt a paw pull him, and he landed in Archer's lap, a bottle at his lips, Archer didn't even have to ask as Jade took the bottle in his muzzle and began to suckle. A smile spread across Archer's lips as the kitten began to purr, and before long the bottle was empty.

"Somebody was hungry." Archer said, setting the empty bottle aside and putting Jade over his shoulder were here could play the kitten on the back, causing a few cute burps. Archer pulled the kitten into a hug, and said.

"Your adorable." Jade yawned and curled up in Archer's lap, and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep. "Guess it's bed time for you." Archer whispered, carrying the sleeping kitten up to his room, checking his diaper before placing him in his crib. Suddenly his phone began to ring, quickly shutting off the ringer he answered it leaving the still sleeping kitten behind a closed door.

"Hello." Archer asked, walking down the stairs.

"Is this Archer?" An authoritative voice replied from the other end, Archer's heart beat a little faster.

"Yes, why?" Archer asked, picking up a picture Jade's parents.

"Mr. and Mrs. Quire, they've been victims of a shooting at the restaurant they were dining at." Archer's heart stopped, no can't be, he thought in disbelief.

"Sir did you hear me?" the voice asked.

"Y-yes, thank you for l-letting me kn-know." Archer stammered hanging up, Archer fell back onto the couch, What's going to happen to Jade, he thought. No immediate family, no one to go to, he'd be fostered, unless. . . Archer thought. The fox picked up his phone and began dialing.

Jade awoke, Archer was lifting him from his crib. A sad smile on his face, what's wrong, Jade thought as he was carried to the changing table, Archer made quick work of the wet diaper, before lifting him from the table and carrying him into the living room, boxes were stacked around the room, like they were moving. Archer plopped Jade on the couch turned on Jade's favorite show and began packing up the house again. Most of it would go to storage, but most of Jade's things would be brought. He'd encouraged his mom to adopt the kitten, and through a bunch phone calls he'd been told repeatedly not to tell Jade yet because they didn't know how the kitten would react and they said to let him settle in first. Archer was also surprised that Jade didn't notice that everything was missing from his room but the crib and changing table. I've done everything I can do for now, Archer thought as he lifted Jade from the couch, and carried him across the room and out the door, Archer's car was out front, he opened the back and buckled Jade into the car seat he'd bought last night.

"Let's go for a drive kay." Archer said, starting the car. Jade starred happily out the window, as they pulled onto the street. Archer watched the smiling kitten from the rearview mirror, I'm going to get along well with my new adopted brother, Archer thought as he drove to their new home. Archer pulled into the drive, Jade was asleep in the back, Archer unbuckled the sleeping kitten and carried him into his new home. Archer's mom had already set up Jade's new room, Suddenly Archer realised what tomorrow was, Christmas. Archer laid Jade in his new crib, lost in thought about tomorrow.

Chapter 1

Jade awoke from a deep sleep, glancing around the room he noticed that Christmas decoration had been put up while he slept. Christmas! Jade thought leaping to the bars, can't wait for Archer to come get me. Suddenly the door opened and the fox known as Archer walked in.

"Good morning." Archer said leaning over the crib to grab Jade who's diaper crinkled as he was held against Archer's hip. "Ready to start your Christmas morning?" He carried Jade into the living room where a Christmas tree, fully decorated, sat in the middle with presents littering the area below it.

"Yay!" Jade called leaping out of his arms and onto the floor.

"Can I open them now?" Jade asked, looking pleadingly up at Archer and the fox smiled warmly down at the adorable padded kitten.

"Sure." Archer replied, sitting down on the couch to watch. Archer's mom was making christmas breakfast, but stopped to watch Jade open his presents. Jade sat down with the nearest present and began to unwrap, and before long he sat in a sea of wrapping paper surrounded by new toys and clothes.

"You wanna play with your new toys, or do you wanna have christmas breakfast?" Archer asked the kitten as he played with a piece of wrapping paper. Jade looked up, about to reply when his tummy grumbled.

"I'll take that as a sign that someone's hungry." Archer said, lifting jade from his ocean of paper, and carried him into the kitchen where pancakes and whipped cream was stacked on the table.

"Yay! Pancakes!" Jade exclaimed has he was strapped in a high chair. Archer pushed a plate across the christmas design tablecloth and set it in front of Jade, who immediately began to stuff himself.

"Slow down buddy, you're gonna get a tummy ache." Archer cautioned, eating his own filling of pancakes.

"I enrolled, Jade in a preschool." Archer's mom said suddenly, hopefully he'll get along well with the other kids." the rest of the day was pretty uneventful and before long Archer was laying Jade down for a nap.

Jade awoke to Archer lifting him from the crib, he was quickly changed before they headed out to school. Archer pulled up outside Jade's preschool, taking Jade by the paw he led him into the building, signing him in and walking him to his class.

"Why do I have to stay here?" Jade cried, "I don't want to leave you."

"Don't worry buddy, I'll be back." Archer told him, giving him a hug, "Be brave for me." Archer left soon after and Jade felt utterly alone, the classes went by pretty fast and soon Jade was dashing into the playground with the rest of the kids. Jade made his way to the slide, he loved sliding down the slide, Jade had been slid down several times when an older kid approached him. The kid reached for Jade, grabbing him by the shirt and, with friends help, dragged Jade around a corner and pushed him against a tree. They began to tease him, Jade cowered from the other kids, there taunts ringing through his head, "Baby" "somebody wet" "you need a change" Jade whimpered as they taunted him. Suddenly he felt his feet leaving the ground as one of the tallest kid lifted him by his shirt, he felt a tree limb dig into his back as he was hung by his shirt. "Hahaha" Jade began to cry as they laughed. And his wet diaper wasn't helping. Suddenly the bell rang and the kids dashed of leaving Jade hanging from a tree, crying.

After a long time a teacher walk around the corner, noticing Jade he hurried over getting the kitten down he hurried inside.
