Castle Guard 1

A young, male, anthropomorphic tyrannosaurs rex sits in his study on the upper floor of the castle. It's a decedent-sized study - not too large, but at the same time, not too small. Along the wall behind the lord's desk are rows of bookshelves. Each one filled to capacity with books on different subjects. The room is well-lit in the daytime by three large windows to the left of the desk. Tyron slowly gets to his feet as he's been sitting at that desk for hours now. With a soft growl, he stretches out his six-foot five-inch frame. Reaching up, he scratches a wolf like right ear, which causes the left one to twitch a little. His ears are just a little above where a human's would be. Reaching up with his other hand, he brings the first one down to rub against his muzzle. Just sliding out from under his eyes, his hands go down the length of his muzzle. He then rubs both of his hazel eyes softly, thinking he's about to go cross-eyed if he doesn't take a break soon. Sliding his hands from his eyes he slowly wipes the sweat from his forehead. Glancing down he notices sweat is even slowly sliding down his muscled chest. He growls softly as he slides his hand down to scratch his belly, just above a pair of red shorts he wearing as it's the middle of summer. Even with the air blowing in through the windows, the room felt much warmer then it is. With a bit of a grunt, he looks down at the paperwork again. He shakes his head softly as he notices the next piece of paper says, 'to the lord Tyron.' He squints his eyes in annoyance at that word as he really doesn't like being called lord. Or for that matter king, as he was just a general before he had this post thrust upon him. Turning, he looks over at the windows, deciding to take a small break from the seemingly never-ending paperwork. Stepping over to the windows, he looks at the two light blue runes, placed between the second and third windows from the right. Reaching out, he taps the top one twice. Doing so causes a light breeze to begin flowing from the lower half of all three windows.

The feeling of the cool air brushing against this skin makes him let out a sigh of relief. Closing his eyes, he stands there for a second, just enjoying the feeling of the air. Opening his eyes, he looks out at the cloudless sky. He takes a deep breath, then lets it out as he knows it's going to be another hot day. Turning his gaze from the sky, he looks over at the grove of trees that semi-block the view of the nearby town of Saurain. He smiles softly as he remembers when they first got here, it was a sleepy little village. Now, it's a bustling hub of activity, with trade routes running through it. The city is not the only thing the castle watches over. Outside of the traveling caravans, the local farmers also bring in their goods for sale. He smiles as he notices movement in the grove he is looking at. Some of the local workers from one of the farms are working the fruit trees. There are a number of groves around the small kingdom like this one. Some of them apple, along with a number of other fruits. A flash of light reflecting off something from the road leading to the castle catches his attention, from the corner of his right eye. Looking over, he notices two hover wagons. Walking to either side of the wagon are fifteen guards. He smiles softly as he remembers it was about this time of year. When he and his men where first ordered to leave their old kingdom.
