Finally I explain how Jade became Archer's adopted brother and what happened to his parents.

Jade sat on the couch the cartoons controlling his gaze, not many thoughts went through his mind as he watched the loony toons get up the their normal shenanigans.

"Honey, are you hungry?" A voice cut into his concentration. Jade looked up to see his mom, a bottle in her hand, a smile on her face. Jade reached up for the bottle, eager for the formula, his pacifier fell from his muzzle and his diaper crinkled as he squirmed.

"I'll take that as a yes." His mom said sitting down beside him, he went limp as she lifted him into her lap and began to feed him. The whole world disappeared as he suckled it was just him and his mom, and that's how it would always be.

Jade awoke from his nap to his mom changing his wet diaper, yawning he looked up warmly at his mom.

"Morning honey." His mom said taping the clean diaper closed, she tickled his tommy getting an explosion of happy giggles. She lifted Jade from the changing table, holding him at her hip she carried him to the living room where Jade's father sat reading the newspaper. Nock Nock!

"Oh that must be the babysitter" Jade's mom said, "could you get that." Jade's father got up and answered the door, Jade, completely oblivious to what was going on, snuggled comfortably in his mother's arms as a young fox walked in soon after.

"Honey, this is Archer." Jade's mom said, handing the sleepy kitten to the fox, Jade resisted at first, but as soon as he was in the fox's arms he couldn't help but love how soft his fur was.

"You'll get along fine." Jade's mom said, as Jade cuddled up to Archer. Jade was so wrapped up in how soft and cuddly the fox was he didn't notice his parents walk out the door. Archer carried the cuddly kitten with him as he made a bottle of baby formula and stuck it in the fridge, Jade watched from the shoulder of the fox as his home moved around him, and before long they plopped down on the couch.

"Someone's in a cuddly mood today." The fox said untangling himself from the kitten and picking up the remote. "What do you wanna watch." Archer asked the kitten, who looked up shyly at his baby-sitter.

"Cawtoons!" Jade replied happily, before snuggling up against Archer once again, as the fox flipped the channels till Cartoon Network came on. They watched the show for couple of hours before Archer got up and Jade too lost in his cartoons didn't notice his absence. Suddenly Jade felt a paw pull him, and he landed in Archer's lap, a bottle at his lips, Archer didn't even have to ask as Jade took the bottle in his muzzle and began to suckle. A smile spread across Archer's lips as the kitten began to purr, and before long the bottle was empty.

"Somebody was hungry." Archer said, setting the empty bottle aside and putting Jade over his shoulder were here could play the kitten on the back, causing a few cute burps. Archer pulled the kitten into a hug, and said.

"Your adorable." Jade yawned and curled up in Archer's lap, and it didn't take long for him to fall asleep. "Guess it's bed time for you." Archer whispered, carrying the sleeping kitten up to his room, checking his diaper before placing him in his crib. Suddenly his phone began to ring, quickly shutting off the ringer he answered it leaving the still sleeping kitten behind a closed door.

"Hello." Archer asked, walking down the stairs.

"Is this Archer?" An authoritative voice replied from the other end, Archer's heart beat a little faster.

"Yes, why?" Archer asked, picking up a picture Jade's parents.

"Mr. and Mrs. Quire, they've been victims of a shooting at the restaurant they were dining at." Archer's heart stopped, no can't be, he thought in disbelief.

"Sir did you hear me?" the voice asked.

"Y-yes, thank you for l-letting me kn-know." Archer stammered hanging up, Archer fell back onto the couch, What's going to happen to Jade, he thought. No immediate family, no one to go to, he'd be fostered, unless. . . Archer thought. The fox picked up his phone and began dialing.

Jade awoke, Archer was lifting him from his crib. A sad smile on his face, what's wrong, Jade thought as he was carried to the changing table, Archer made quick work of the wet diaper, before lifting him from the table and carrying him into the living room, boxes were stacked around the room, like they were moving. Archer plopped Jade on the couch turned on Jade's favorite show and began packing up the house again. Most of it would go to storage, but most of Jade's things would be brought. He'd encouraged his mom to adopt the kitten, and through a bunch phone calls he'd been told repeatedly not to tell Jade yet because they didn't know how the kitten would react and they said to let him settle in first. Archer was also surprised that Jade didn't notice that everything was missing from his room but the crib and changing table. I've done everything I can do for now, Archer thought as he lifted Jade from the couch, and carried him across the room and out the door, Archer's car was out front, he opened the back and buckled Jade into the car seat he'd bought last night.

"Let's go for a drive kay." Archer said, starting the car. Jade starred happily out the window, as they pulled onto the street. Archer watched the smiling kitten from the rearview mirror, I'm going to get along well with my new adopted brother, Archer thought as he drove to their new home.
