Was zenned out, figured I'd practice detailing scenes.

It was a rainy evening, the clouds blotting out what little of the sun was left as it hung down low in the sky, threatening to make it's daily pass under the horizon.

Eli found times like this especially relaxing, even as the gray, foreboding skies rumbled with thunder. A light shower of rain pattered against the windows of his messy parlor, clothing and other clutter littering the floor. The elf walked his way over to the window to open the red curtains, the fading light filling the room. The room was well decorated, a large fireplace, with logs stacked in it, sitting in the center wall, flanked by two massive windows, one of which Eli already opened. In front of the fireplace sat a abundantly large, white Victorian high back chair, and beside that lay a wooden accent table, an ash tray and bottles of alcohol set neatly on it, two glasses sitting upside down for serving the said alcohol. The far side of the table sat an identical chair, like the white high back. Besides that there wasn't much of interest in the small, cozy room.

Eli sat in the rightmost chair, his rear placed in the middle, one leg over one arm of the chair, the other arm used to rest against his back. The elf held his hand out, waving it over the stacked logs, which ignited with a small "Fwoosh". The warmth licked at Eli's features, his eyes sliding shut as both the warmth and patter of the rain against the windows worked in tandem, lulling him into a state of relaxed bliss. The sun retreated down further past the horizon, casting a faint shadow of the window frame against the back wall of the parlor. Eli dozed, the warmth and sound of the rain proving to be too much for him, as his body settled into the leather cushion of his chair, as his consciousness drifted, the flames in the fireplace flickered, warming the room and filling the air with the smokey scent of burning wood. Eli let out one final yawn as he settled down for the evening, comfy enough in his seat that he would have no trouble sleeping.
