#9 of Finding the Alpha Wolf

This has been a strange trip for Snake. Finding someone such as Sam has enlightened the little bunny's experiences and even his emotions. Yet he knew well when he first stepped into this world, it would not last forever. Nothing last forever, but there is one thing he is certain of. He will never find another like Sam.

This is the closing chapter for Finding the Alpha Wolf. I hope you had as much fun reading it, as I did writing it.

Chapter 9

The bunny had a moment to admire his view at the foot of powerful perfection, then the grinning wolf reached down to gently pluck him from the puddle she left him in. Not even a word was spoken from either of the two, it was simply into the shower to finally shed the grime. Even the simple event of a shower was a constant reminder to the tiny rabbit just what kind of position he had landed himself into.

There seated on a porcelain shelf holding towers of plastic bottles, he had a chest high view of the mountain of wolf glimmering in the heavy rain of steamy water. She moved to snag a bottle from behind him, cautious so the poor rabbit wouldn't take a long tumble. She took a healthy helping for her, and gave a small pea of the shampoo for the rabbit, setting it on the porcelain that was gathering droplets from her motions splashing water lightly about.

Snake getting a bit wet from the rain was enough to pull him from the daze, being awestruck by her was just barely beaten by his urge to clean up. The little bunny got to work just as she was, scrubbing his fur down and running his paws all over his juice covered for.

Once he was well lathered up, he had to wait for Sam to finish rinsing herself off, watching as she moved hands over ever curve of that well shaped form. Sam holding wet fur, it was easy for Snake to see each ripple of well tone muscle she had built for herself. It was simply amazing for Snake to see such a large form in function, able to see every muscle regardless of how minute flexing and moving.

Finally it was his turn, Sam offered up a palm he happily stepped into and took him beneath the spray of water. Snake didn't care much for the powerful hits of large water drops, much like getting buckets of water constantly tossed at him, but it did well washing out the shampoo.

Snake gave the thumbs up that he was done, and Sam cut off the water. She parted with him on the countertop with a dry wash rag for him to roll around in while she toweled off. Once the small rabbit was done rubbing himself all over the cloth, his short fur puffing out a bit, he looked to his wolf to see she was content wrapping a towel around herself. Sam crouched down next to the countertop and placed her chin down upon it but a few inches from Snake.

Snake blinked, staring at her with wonder what she was playing at when he felt a gust of wind pulling past him as she inhaled, then it all blew back out against him in hot, moist breath.

"Good, you don't smell like butt anymore." She remarked with a mischievous smirk

"Well, with how our short time has been spent, that might not last." Snake teased in return, but he wouldn't miss this opportunity.

The bunny's heart was a flutter with a wide smile drawn over his maw, he jumped up with this renewed energy and lunged right at her. To Sam's surprise, Snake leapt up and flopped on her snout, spread eagle over her. Sam went cross eyed to spy him as he moved his arms and legs over the still slightly damp fur of her snout. The sensation was truly amazing, the harder ridge of the airways hidden beneath black skin he laid upon, with little fuzz that grew the further out he reached from the top of her muzzle. Thick strands of whiskers he played with on his feet, as his cheek nuzzled against her in a blissful murr.

Sam lifted up, causing Snake to instinctively hold onto her, then she walked out of the bathroom and back into the bedroom, careful not to bounce her head around too much and keep it level for him. She peeled off the towel feeling dry enough, and tossed it to the floor. With a careful turn, Sam took Snake on her muzzle down the hall and to the kitchen.

With a sudden tilt downward of her head, Snake slipped from his spot on her and fell right into her palm with a light squeak of surprise. He wasn't with her for long, she slipped him off on a table as she passed by it, heading towards the cupboards. She returned soon enough with a saucer filled with clean water for him.

"I don't really have cups that would fit you." She noted with a light shrug.

Snake wasn't offended, in fact quite happy to dive his muzzle into that water and get some. He had felt a little dehydrated after the whole day only being able to feast on her sweat, this felt like a well deserved reward for enduring her, but it was bringing up questions. He paused for a moment looking up at her.

"Sam...?" He asked for her attention, clearly having thoughts running through his head.

The wolfess took a look at him for a moment before withdrawing a chair that was against the table. The small vibrations of it sliding across the floor felt like a light earthquake through the wood he sat upon. A wall of white fell down before him as she sat down, and draped those large arms on the table in a fold, giving him her full attention.

"Are you... not happy?" He asked, trying to be loud for her to hear clearly, this caused a notable stare of surprise as she tried to process where this question was coming from.

"That's not really a straightforward question I could answer easily." She returned, looking for a bit more elaboration than what he was giving.

"Well, when we first met you thought you were crazy, and your mood around others, and the work out, and our intimate moments. It all felt like... anger." He tried to clarify what he has been feeling beneath her every action, still trying to put the pieces together of this world, and her.

Sam's cheerful mood seem to be declining with such questions, she took a solid breath before giving a sigh, looking off to the side for a moment.

"You really do care?" She asked, looking if he really wanted this or some false excuse to make himself feel better.

"Yes, of course. It concerns me Sam, you're..." He paused for a moment, thinking this sounded a little silly. "You're someone I care about." He finally admitted.

"Cute. My pocket dildo cares about my feelings." She pulled from the table to lean back in her seat.

"That's exactly what I'm talking about. This, standoff personality. You sound so angry. What's wrong?" He insisted, trying to break through to her.

"Alright, Snake." She nodded slightly, looking back at him with those dagger eyes. "I'm bored." She said out right, pulling a strong head tilt from the small bunny listening intently.

"You don't get it, this place it's all about being top dog. If you're on the bottom of the chain, you get bad jobs, no respect, no chance. To make it here you have to have more than a loud bark, but a damn strong bite. As it turns out, I got the strongest bite around." She informed, but certainly wasn't pleased with herself.

"I started pushing around when I was young, I jumped into this game early. When I got older, I got real good at it. Hit the right people hard, the rest fall into line. Before I was even 16 people just stayed away from me. Well look at me now, I got a house someone gave to me, a car someone gave to me, a job someone gave to me. No one questions me, my word is law and forbid you should you get caught in my warpath." She laid it all out for him, he asked for it so here it was.

Snake blinked, trying to really figure this out. It was bizarre to think so much aggression could happen simply because she's accomplished all her goals so early on, but this culture of her's was still somewhat foreign to him. Sam could see he wasn't still fully getting it.

"It's frustrating Snake, what do you do when you get everything you wanted and have nothing left to strive for? I rescued Beth from one of the most feared organizations here and you know how? I walked in and asked. They not only let her go, but paid me just to make sure I wouldn't come back for them. Do you know how insane that sounds? I take pills just to try and level my mood cause I feel like I'm losing grips on reality when I can tell anyone to do something and they just do it!" She nearly barked in an aired of frustration as she stood from her seat.

Snake nearly stumbled backwards at the outburst, she was undoubtedly scary when she got worked up and it was doing its job giving the rabbit a tremble.

"I'm sorry Snake, but the insanity that is my life has me even wondering if you're simply a figment of my imagination." She finally admitted, it made more sense then a tiny sentient creature suddenly living in her home.

Snake's world was crumbling around him, imaginary? Did she truly just amuse his existence with her own questions of reality? Did this mean their moments together, weren't made of true passion for one another? Then fears of what she might do to him just to be rid of him if she really thought so. Snake went from admiring her, to believe she may well be his end.

The moment didn't have time to play out any further, as a loud crack crashed into the front door taking the attention of both Sam and Snake. It was her again, that cat stood at the busted in door staring right at Sam. Her fur was wet with tears, her clothes a torn up mess.

"Beth." Sam growled, taking a step towards the cat with murder flaring in her eyes, but the cat beat her to it long ago.

Beth raised a shiny barrel of dragon fire towards Sam which made her stop. Wrapped in her fist was plastic grip over pressed steel, a finger firmly around the tongue of the beast ready to fire. Sam was caught dead center of the iron sights on the cowards pistol

"You stupid bitch." Was all Sam had to rebuttal with.

The room filled with a brilliant flash of light as fire exploded out of that barrel. The sharp bark blasted a wave of percussion that even staggered Snake while he was in the middle of screaming out a name, but it wasn't any of theirs.

The chaos around them slowed, as if time itself bowed to the presents of another. White talons wrapped around Sams neck in the midst of the scene. The room went white, and silence took over.

The floor of glistening white striped with jagged lines of gold set the theme for the circular room. Water rushed softy into a channel of marble that carried it off to a whirlpool along the edges of the room while a large bed sat in the center, elevated upon a few short steps. Windows within the walls about the room shown an outside of fluffy white clouds and vast landscapes far bellow.

Snake sat upon the floor panting deeply from the events that quickly flew by him, and Sam stood nearby only two feet taller than him. She was being held by a wrap of white scaled knuckles armed with sharp looking talons. After taking a moment to adjust to the shocking change of scenery, she turned to swipe at the creature holding her.

"Let go of me!" She growled, still in fight mode but when her eyes laid upon the person, she froze.

Dressed in a white ash cloak hiding her curves beneath stood a pure white phoenix. The majestic bird towered over Sam at nine feet tall and had no issues restraining her. The white feathers of her face shined with unseen light as she peered back at Sam with glowing blue hues reflective of the soft, gentle luminescence of the moon itself. Long white strands of hair lay flat over her shoulders and down her back between two massive wings. Sam's thoughts flash to that picture she had in her room of the phoenix and the moon.

"The... Moon Goddess?" Sam baffled beyond confused and beginning to felt she had fully surrendered to madness.

"Kikkara!" Snake cheerfully called out. "I... I didn't think you would get us in time." He panted in his amazement.

A smile pulled across the corners of the phoenix's white beak.

"I will always come to your aid when you beckon my name Snake." Her voice was deep, yet pure. A magical melody granted a bit of calmness to the chaos still raging in their minds.

Sam looked back at Snake just as amazed to see him so large, she wanted to go to him but she was still restrained by the phoenix, her hand moved up to grab Kikkara's wrist in objection but the phoenix wasn't going to let her go.

"If I lose hold of you, you will regain your original size and blackout due to the thin air here. If you give me a moment I will let you go." Kikkara clarified to Sam.

"You, shrunk me?" Sam asked perturbed in response.

"I normalized you. The world you are from boasted an oxygen rich atmosphere and lower gravity due to its small size. It allowed macro growth. You are a giant Sam, but this will help you here." She offered.

The hand gripping at Sam began to relax as it left behind a thin chain choker with a glowing blue gem sitting at the front of Sam's throat.

"This will keep you at this size, but should you ever remove it you will regain your usual height. Despite you being this size, you still carry the mass of your original self. Be mindful when gripping or holding anything. You will still be applying your full strength to it." She explained, detailing out her caution.

Sam stumbled forward, notably feeling odd with this form, but it was far from adaptable. She looked back from the phoenix to Snake with a plethora of questions building within her.

"I will try and clear away some of your confusion. You are not dead but you will most likely have to leave your old life behind. You are in another realm, one watched over by me, but owned and shaped by Snake. This is a safe place with others much like you who have run into a end of life scenario, but were given a second chance. Yes, I can bring you back home if you so choose it but only after you make that choice wisely, and no I am not God or a god. My name is Kikkara, I am an oddity with gifted powers who seeks to use it only when justified." The phoenix riddled off several answers to many of the questions welling up in Sam.

Despite these answers, it was still happening too fast. There was so much to process all at once and the answers came as more fog in the mind to further shroud her in an encroaching blackness. The lean wolf fell, yet never hit the floor as Kikkara held an arm out to levitate her. Snake meeped seeing Sam pass out, He moved to try and catch her but saw it wasn't needed.

" I didn't think she would be one to pass out." He certainly thought, but perhaps her mental instabilities could've contributed.

"If you wish, you can blame it on her getting use to her smaller form, but she is another troubled one you have come across." Kikkara returned, moving the fainted wolf over to the luxurious black and white colored bed.

Snake padded over and up the small steps to her side once she was set down. The bed sagged against her immense weight but seem to support her. Looking over the wolf, Snake's large brown hues notably worried for a moment. A lot did happen very quickly, something he was far more use to then her. At least they were in a place safe, away from people like Beth. He brought his paws over to lay upon Sam's arm.

"Do you think she will be ok?" He asked, his tone voiced his concerns as he ran his paw over her white fur.

"She will probably wake within the hour, I would suggest moving her to the tavern or field. Somewhere that has a recognizable environment." She advised.

"I mean, do you think she'll be ok here? There's always such a big risk that they won't let go of their old life, or simply don't fit in here." He rephrased the concern, resting his chin down on Sam's arm as he truly couldn't shake his own emotions for her.

Kikkara moved over to the small rabbit and knelt by the bedside, offering a soft pet of her scaled hand over his head.

"You always had trouble with a charitable heart Snake. There is never a way of telling if they will accept their second chance, or wish to return to the life they knew but we cannot deny her choice when she makes it. However, I feel her old life was one that ran dry. I think she might be more persuaded to stay, as long as she knows you will be around with her." She reassured slightly in her explaining but remained fair.

"I hope so." Snake smiled up to Kikkara. "I feel like she deserves to be happy, but... do you think she could get along here, fit in, find that challenge she was looking for." He asked, still filled with worry as he looked back at her softly breathing in her comatose state.

"If she chooses to accept this offer, I would not worry. Between the many unique personalities here, and you, I think she will find happiness." She claimed, looking over the naked wolf upon her bed with a little hint of wonder of her own.

"Most of all, I think she will find new meaning among those of my pack. Between her uniqueness in size, her strict personality and the skill she has to put others in line... I think you finally found someone I was looking for." She began to believe.

Snake tilted his head softly, his eyes roaming from the wolf he was trying to encourage peace with by touch alone, and back up to the large phoenix with wonder to such a statement, to which she smiled back to him and clarified.

"The alpha wolf."
