I looked around the new realm I was in. I knew that I was no longer on the earth I knew. There were dragons everywhere. Of all colors, shapes, and sizes. Some walking and grazing the land, while others flew around. "Whoa...I can't believe I am really in the dragon realm. This is amazing!". I felt so happy to be here! But I knew I had a mission to do.

I regrouped with all five of the Dragon Defenders. We stood in a big field.

"You've made it, dragonboy. The shadow dragon is looking for you. Once he comes for you, we fight!"

"Fight?" I looked nervous. I have never physically fought with anyone in a long time. Let alone a dragon!

"Yes, dragonboy. Don't tell me you want to back down after coming so far"

"No, I didn't say that! I'm going to fight! Honest!"

I tried to be strong. I felt so afraid. But I tried to hide my fear. I heard the loud beating of wings above us.

"Here he comes dragonboy...get ready" Percival ordered as all the Dragon Defenders got into fighting position. The shadow dragon landed in front of us with a loud thud. He glared down angrily at me.

"I've looked all over for you, my son. You are in big trouble. This time you are coming home..."

The shadow dragon then looked over to the Dragon Defenders. "Oh how cute! You made new friends to defend you! Too bad I'm going to eat them for breakfast!" the shadow dragon roared as he grabbed Fenris and lifted him high in the air.

"Put me down! HELP!!" Fenris cried for help. I gasped. I had to try to fight! I had to save my friends! I rushed towards the shadow dragon and headbutted his tummy! The shadow dragon didn't even flinch! I then tried punching him and scratching him. He still didn't budge! He acted like he didn't feel anything!

"That tickles, son. Was that supposed to hurt?"

"You don't know who you're dealing with..."

I glared up at the shadow dragon with an angry intimidating look. The veins in my dragon eyes pulsed as I opened my mouth and breathed hard! I blew out a big fireball that struck the shadow dragon's arm! The shadow dragon roared and dropped Fenris. "Now, everyone! Attack!"

The Dragon Defenders all attacked the shadow dragon. Ignatius flew around him and blew fireballs at him! Fenris used his nature magic to bind the shadow dragon in vines! Percival and Neptune fired energy beams from their crosses and Percival also threw balls of light and Neptune drenched the shadow dragon with water from the nearby lake! Isolda also fought as hard as she could! She froze the shadow dragon's feet to the ground!

"Yes, yes!" I thought. "We are beating him!". But as they got tired and stopped to rest and as the blinding lights and powers faded, the shadow dragon wasn't even close to being taken down! He broke free of the ice and vines! And with a blast of shadow magic, he blew the Dragon Defenders away!

"No!" I looked up at the shadow dragon in fear.

"You fools thought you could take me down that easily? I don't think so!"

"I didn't think that! They did!" I tried to play innocent.

"I can see right through you, my son! Now...I am going to take you home!"

Percival stepped in front of me, trying to defend me.

"We won't let you take the dragonboy!"

"And what are you going to do to stop me?"

The shadow dragon blasted Percival away once more, making him crash into the other Dragon Defenders. They were tired and dazed, unable to fight back.

"No! They were my friends! How could you?!"

The shadow dragon didn't reply back. Instead, he grabbed me. I struggled to get out of his grip, but this time I was helpless! What was he going to do to me? The shadow dragon spread his wings and took off towards his home.

"This was to teach you a lesson. This is for your own good...don't you ever run away from me again..."

"Let me go! HELP!!" I tried to call for help from the Dragon Defenders, but it was no use...I admitted defeat and let the shadow dragon take me away. The Dragon Defenders heard my cry and groaned as they looked to the sky, seeing the shadow dragon carry me away.

"Dragonboy..."
