dragonheart a heart for a heart
This is a story based on the movie dragonheart: a new beginning.
The story goes just like the movie for the most part...
Except for I have changed multiple parts to fit my story line accurately. In this particular story I use all the characters from the movie itself, and in this story a dragons heart will do more than share eternal life with a human it will share much more than the eye can see...
Characters-
Lord Osric- a man shrouded in mystery. Acts really nice and caring, but is really putting on an act, is actually hiding his true identity.
Griffin- Lord Osrics true identity. Is a Chinese dragon bent on the enslaving of all humanity, was captured by fellow Chinese dragons and turned into a human.
Draco- drake's father was killed by Bowen who almost refused to do it.
Drake- is actually the son of Draco. is locked beneath the monastery where friar peter lives. is looked after by mansel, an overcautious monk. later meets geoff.
Geoff- a stable boy, who is extremely bored of the stable life, wishes to become a legendary knight. is extremely sarcastic, uses trickery to get what he wants. befriends drake, and risks his life for drakes safety and to remain his friend.
Master Kwan- is actually lians teacher. is unapproached in knowledge of dragon lore, history, and powers.
Empress Lian- quite skilled at multiple forms of barehanded fighting and armed fighting. is a decendant of the chinese emperor kuo-fan who had many dragons killed. hides griffens heart.
wears boy clothing to protect her true identity. becomes a friend to geoff and drake, lets geoff know that drake is extremel lonely.
Monk Mansel- geoff's friend. was the person who tended to drake while he still lived in the dungeons. mansel was tricked by geoff, who got the key to the dungeons where he first met drake.
DragonHeart: A Heart For A Heart
Geoff is fighting the fake soldier in his stable, when he walks out to see mansel carrying frair peters cauldren out of the dungeon gates. he walks up to mansel.
"thats friar peters cauldren isnt it, what would you be doing with that?"
"can you keep a secret?" asked mansel
"you know I can"
"friar peters given me a new chore," replied mansel
"well what is it?"
"Thats it its a secret," said mansel
"well, you should be proud its not everyday you get a new job,"
"your right I should be proud!" stated mansel who started to walk away.
then geoff stated, "its not like pride is one of those seven deadly sins,"
mansel stopped in his tracks "actually it is..."
mansel is using a pitchfork to put hay into piles when geoff walks into the stable.
"thank you for letting me do this, work makes the soul humble," said mansel with a relieved tone.
"no problem" said geoff as he walked around mansel, taking his key to the dungeon.
geoff leaves the stable. mansel looks to make sure that geoff is gone than he playfully stabs the fake soldier with the pitchfork.
(this is the part where master kwan talks with friar peter about the prophecy and that the stars say that a dragon is in that monastary)
the "boy" walks out of friar peters building and quickly notices geoff hiding by the dungeon entrance, geoff holds a finger up to his lips to try to keep hidden from the rest of the people. master kwan walks out of the building and the "boy" lets geoff go unnoticed.
geoff waited untill the cost was clear before he unlocked the door to the dungeon, he quickly hurried inside to pick up the sword he saw earlier that day, only to find out it was broken, not even an inch of blade was on it. he threw the sword in frustration, which made a loud clang sound when it hit the cave wall. then geoffs curiousity got the better of him, the question what is friar peter hiding down here?
Geoff grabbed a torch that was hanging on the walls, and made his way deeper into the cave. half way through the cave he hit a breezy area which was killing the torch, he ran deeper into the cave blowing on the torch to keep it from completely dying. he saw a skeleton, which he stumbled away from, falling right on top of another sketeon, which he screamed at, and he bolted down the path, deeper into the cave untill he almost fell over a side boarding part of a wooden staircase. he looked over the side of the staircase to see a perfect condition sword at the bottom. geoff rushed to the bottom and retrieved the sword, unaware he wasn't alone.
geoff swung the sword around playfully, then he started to wipe the age gathered dust and rust off the blade with his tunic, then he noticed something. he slowly turned the sword so he could see a reflection off of the blade. he saw a creature standing behind him, and he freaked out, he shot around to see the creature he yelled and ran away screaming, "stay away from me!"
the dragon went quickly into the back of the room. geoff again let his curiousity get the better of him as he slowly walked through the room, the sword drawn. he eventually came to a corner where a curtain like object was surrounding a small portion of the room. very slowly he reached a nervous hand up and pulled on the curtain untill it collapsed to the floor. and he stared nervously at the dragon. then it spoke...
"you shouldn't be here,"
"how long have you been down here?"
"ive always been here,"
"im geoff"
"im drake"
both geoff and drake gave a friendly smile.
(this the part where monk mansel suddenly walks in and informs drake that friar peter has died in his sleep, then drake tells geoff that he dont want to talk, geoff leaves and appears down at the docks where he goes sword to sword with a knight.
geoff loses after his sword breaks in two and he falls in the water. the he sits on the ground in a small tree filled area of the forest. when drake shows up. he and geoff talk for a short time before geoff gets up and leaves. the next part shows that geoff and drake are talking at the top of a cliff.)
"look over those mountains are hordes of treasure and adventures just waiting for us."
"im not leaving I like it here"
"stupid dragon, maybe it would be better if I was the the dragon and you were the stable boy!"
geoff walks away without his tunic and into a town where guards were everywhere. he tries to walk away but he is surrounded by guards who he tells a bunch of bullcrap to while trying to get off the hook for not having his tunic on.
then master kwan and the boy show up out of nowhere and say theyre lost which the guards try to arrest and end up getting their asses kicked. then the boys hat falls off, and what do you know?
its not a boy after all!
they say that all three of them should leave. geoff then looks to see a horde of soldiers coming in their direction, when he looks back the old man and girl are nowhere in sight. geoff then quickle hurries back to the mountain to warn drake who mysteriously turns into a rock.
then geoffs hunters arrive which one of them put a sword to his neck and asks his where those two people went and geoff replies that the just dissappeared and the guard then replies that nobody can just dissappear unless I make them dissappear, as he slowly backed geoff to the edge of the cliff.
geoff says nervously well ill go to the dungeon now.
and the guard says oh youre not getting off that easily as he uses the flat side of the sword to knock geoff off the edge.
geoff screams as he fell off, drake growled at the guards who almost screamed themselves as drake flew off the cliff racing down and catching geoff at the last moment.
geoff had never had anyone who cared so much about him in the past he became slightly aroused over the fact that someone finally cared about his life... he just prayed to god that drake hadnt noticed it.
( this is the part where drake crashed and geoff tried to stop the armed villagers who just grabbed geoff and held him still, it was a scheming lord osric who came to the rescue. after various talking and promises it all leads to the next part where geoff and lian are walking on the bridge talking.)
"geoff, drake is dissappointed,"
"its ok didnt master kwan say that hardly any dragons can breath ice?"
"geoff drake is dissappointed in you"
"what because I didnt go flying with him this morning? I have a lot of training to do with lord osric,"
"geoff drake is the last of his race he is more alone than you could ever imagine...
where I come from there are no more dragons the last one griffen lead a rebellion against the chinese emperor kuo-fan. other dragons captured him and gave the emperor his heart as a token of peace... but it was too late. the emperor was terrified of them... he had every last dragon killed... and now drake is the last dragon alive... you do not know how large a miracle this really is..."
"actually I need to talk to you... ive...actually been avoiding drake for a reason..."
"geoff what reason could that probably be?"
geoff looked around making sure no one was around them to hear what he was about to say.
"the truth is...well...I...uhhh.....actually....ummm....I gotta go!"
(geoff started sweating heavily as his face went scarlet red)
"geoff you may not have the words to say it...
but I can read what your actions are trying to tell me.
your in love with him, arent you?
well whats so hard to say about that...huh?"
"well...for one... hes not a human, second..... were both.... males..... and.... how can I just say it to him, I mean really im just a lowly... stable boy. I beg you please dont say anything to him id probable kill myself to prevent humiliation."
geoff sighs and walks away slowly.
(this is the part where master kwan and lian is sent to the dungeon, where the break out. they eventually find out that lord osric is shadowy they make a serum for monk mansel and the king to cure the mind weakening effects of the drug osric has been giving to both of them. the three make it out to the main kings chamber.)
mansel runs and hides while master kwan and lian beat the shit out of all the guards that come at them while osric is watching lian throws the container containing griffens heart into the fire. lord osric kicks the fire into the small pond and pulls the container out of the water. and everyone freezes.
he opens the container and stares at the heart on the inside "I thought this had been destroyed,"
osic then says that he would repay the favor to lian for her ancestors sins as he drew a dagger from his back pocket... and throws it an lian who is shoved to the side by master kwan who takes the hit.
(this is the part where master kwan says his dying speech to lian. then comes the utterly boring speech from osric.)
geoff and drake arrive by air.
lian slowly inches her way towards osric weilding the same dagger that killed master kwan.
eventually lian sprints out growling and osric grabs her hand and then he himself cuts a slice in his chest with the dagger and pulls the flesh open and places the heart in the hole.
everyone screams as osric starts morphing....
his hair fell off and horns grew out of his head...
claws grew out of his fingers...
and he grew huge....
after a few moments a huge red scaled dragon with a slight chinese appearence stood still eyes closed.
suddenly his eyes flashed open, he spoke in a deep, dark voice.
"drake, come." said griffen
"another dragon!" said drake
"drake brother, we have to put these humans in their right places... as our servants." replied griffen
"drake, I know I hurt you, and im sorry, but hes going go enslave mankind forever!"
"get out of drakes way!" griffen growled as he backhanded geoff ten feet to the side and into a crowd of people.
lian and mansel ran over to the area where geoff landed yelling "geoff," in unision with drake.
"if it wasnt for geoff I wouldve given you my heart... and lost my soul, hes my real brother!" drake practically yelled as he blew a flaming gust at griffen who easily dodged the attack.
"poor choice of siblings drake." said griffen as he flew up into the air and swooped down at drake who flew up into the air. both griffen an drake breathed their flaming breaths at the other.
griffen got the first landed hit as he slammed drake into the ground, held him still and bit into his neck. geoff yelled "drake use your tail."
drake opened the sword like clamp on his tail and clamped it into griffens back who sat upright in pain, geoff threw the sword in his hand at griffen which hit and griffen hissed at geoff as he flew into the air,
"youll pay for that peasent!"
drake rolled unto his back and shot a icy shot at griffen who started to freeze solid.
he shouted "ice?!? how did you? nooooo"
the frozen dragon fell very quickly to the ground, shattering into icy spears that flew at everything... including geoff, who was trying to again avoid being near drake.
everyone raised their head off of the ground including lian and mansel. the two looked around and lian was the first one to notice the fallen body of geoff, which she rushed over to quickly followed by mansel.
"geoff we did it!
geoff...geoff...?"
lian reached over and grasped the spear of ice stuck in geoffs chest and yanked it out... "hes... gone," said mansel sadly.
drake came over to the sad sight and looked at mansel and asked "mansel what are the words?"
thats when lian looked at drake and said
" drake before you do this I really need to talk to you, its something geoff would want me to help him with..."
drake looked at her questioningly "okay the three of us can go down to where I live,"
lian replied "well im not trying to be rude but mansel geoff doesnt want you or anyone to be presant while I talk to drake, he wanted privicy..."
drake looked at mansel deep in thought and after a short moment he said "mansel I trust her, stay up here ill see you tomarrow, she will tell you how the talk went,"
"goodnight drake," said mansel
down in the room that drake called home drake laid down the limp body of his friend geoff.
"lian what is this all about? if geoff wanted to tell me about something hed just tell me,"
"drake he always missed your flying time for a reason..."
"why would he do that... he is my friend isnt he?"
"drake he was a closer friend than you may have realized... and he cared more than he showed... he just acted like he didnt care.... he was nervous,"
"I dont understand... why would he be nervous about being my friend?"
"I see im not putting through a point... so ill just tell you the right way....
drake geoff avoided you, he always acted uncaring, he always pretended he was too busy to spend time with you because..... he..... actually had a...... well....
oh whatever... he was in love with you, he was just too embarressed to tell you. he thought that you wouldnt accept it, he looked at himself like dirt, saying you were a great dragon, and he was a lowly stable boy... he also told me that if I told anyone that hed probable kill himself in humiliation... he was just too nervous to say anything on his own and I think that this was the time for me to help him say it...."
"I dont.... know why he would... have such a problem saying a thing like that to me... do you?"
"drake alot of humans are looked down at if they like a creature of their own sexual being..."
"I think I get it, I want to bring him back now... wheres mansel?"
"if its about the words I know them if you need them."
"that would be fine lian, thank you"
"say the words... of my heart, to make you whole, its strength will purify your weakness,"
drake said the words as he opened his chest flap and used his talon to cut it open and he took out a part of his heart, and placed it on geoffs chest. the glowing red object sank into geoffs chest and after a few seconds geoff groaned and moved a little and he said "my heart hurts."
drake smiled as he replied "you mean our heart hurts, but it will not feel this bad forever."
lian sat next to geoff and said "geoff you did die on us, and while you were dead I kind of told drake what you couldnt, so your feelings are now known, im sorry for doing it behind you back."
geoffs eyes shot open after she said this and he struggled to get to his feet, but he couldnt for he was just brought back from the dead and he was weakened.
"drake please....I....im...sorry..." geoff cryed
"lian you can leave us now." said drake, and when she was gone drake told geoff "geoff you never take how I feel into account... the truth is I actually have never felt the feeling I get when you were around me, I never knew what to think of it to tell you the truth... and from what lian said I practically felt the same urges you do.... which leaves me to ask geoff will you experience those feelings with me as well as take our friendship to the next level... I think its called a releationship?"
geoff tryed so many times to reply but the the excitement that he got was too much for his recovering body to handle... and he slowly passed out.
he woke up about three hours later... and tryed to move but couldnt he found himself lying on drakes bed, with drake asleep, his large neck was curling around and his head was on top of geoffs chest. geoff was so happy that this was happening, he layed there for another twenty minutes untill drake slowly awoke.
drake was so relieved to see that geoff was alright that he actually started crying tears of happyness.
"geoff youre more than healed enough to leave as you tryed to do earlier..."
"drake im sorry about that, but right now I dont want to run like a coward. I dont want to leave you, I.... love you, I never felt these feelings towards someone before, and I could say anything as I thought about it more. I thought people wouldnt accept it because were both of the masculine gender, and furthermore I thought you wouldnt accept it....., but thats all in the past. I dont know what else to say..."
drake looked down at geoff as a weird feeling spread through him, both drake and geoff noticed a growing scent in the room.
"geoff ill accept you... more than accept you, ill always be there for you, as I also.... feel a strong connection towards you."
geoff was looking around trying to find the source of the smell, drake just watched him.
"geoff what are you doing?"
"im trying to find whatevers creating this smell in here."
geoff continued to search when he caught movement out of the corner of his eye, he looked at the general place where he saw the movement to find that he was looking at drakes.... "happy time" area.
geoff blushed severly and realised that the smell was coming from that area as well. drake saw geoff quickly turn his head and he noticed that geoff was turning a deep reddish color around his facial area, and drake also caught a new scent in the room now and it seemed to be coming from geoff. drake tryed to talk to geoff, he asked him what was the matter, but geoff just talked in broken english, the type that no one could ever understand.
drake then remembered that geoff was looking at him before he turned away, so drake looked around the same way geoff did only to find nothing... unless geoff was looking at his legs. so drake now looked at his legs and he saw that he was out in the open. drake now realised what geoff was so disrupted about. and now drake was the one speaking the broken language. untill drake just said "im sorry geoff, I cant help it." then drake left the room and went back to his large bed and laid down and closed his eyes sadly.
geoff didnt know what to do, what to say, or how to react, so he just sat down and started thinking. the more he thought about what happened the more aroused he became. he eventually just got up on nervous legs... his legs shaking like pudding.
geoff started sweating like crazy as he tried to make himself leave the room, he just couldnt...
he finally gave up on leaving, he just sat down and wrapped his arms around his legs and started crying. the tears quickly forming a puddle underneath him, representing his wants and desires.... they were like a puddle... meant to be shaped and worked into a completely different shape than they were meant to be.
drake listened for a second, he heard something. yes there it was a second time.... it sounded like someone crying... then he realised geoff!
drake slowly got off of his bed and walked to the main chamber of his room. he then saw geoff sitting in that sobbing position , his face wet, his clothes soaked, his eyes crimson, and a huge lake of tears beneath him. then drake forgot about the earlier event and tried again to talk to geoff.
"geoff please dont do this.... it pains me to see you like this. I cant help what happened earlier, but please dont let that bother you."
geoff looked at drake and slowly calmed down to the point that he could speak coherent words.
"drake I.... cant do this.... I cant hide what I feel forever.... my wants, feelings ,and desires, are exactly like this pool of tears... its always going to be walked on... stepped through... the slightest wind could destroy what it truely stands for..."
(sweat drop, geoff nervously gives a fake coughing gesture,)
geoff finishes what he was going to say, "drake I couldnt bring myself to tell you that I didnt want you to leave when that....... thing happened."
(geoff blushes beyond compare, and looks at the ground in embarassment.)
drake couldnt believe it... could it truely be?
Could love have finally found him at last he really hoped so he was really itching for a bonding mate.
