Dae's Fursona Introduction
This is my first submission, meant to be an introduction to my fursona, as well as a reference for when I eventually attempt to get a ref sheet made. Please be gentle, as this is my first time posting. Also, I hope I put the correct tags.
Dae is an anthro housecat with medium-to-light grey fur. He's 21 but looks slightly younger, which has gotten him carded the few times he has experimented with alcohol. He has found a strange sort of pride from this. He's about 5'8'', with a lean build. His hips could be described as feminine, as they are slightly more pronounced than normal. His arms are not muscular by any definition, though not bony. His stomach is flat, but not toned. This is caused more by a light amount of fat, rather than any real muscle. One of his favorite body features is his big floofy tail, which is well known for its size. It's about 6 inches wide and goes all the way down past his ankles, with a little curve at the end. It's made almost entirely out of soft silky fur, which he sometimes allows others to pet. He becomes grumpy if anyone touches his tail without permission. The rest of his fur is short, but that doesn't mean it's any less soft.
His ears are standard for a cat, sticking out from the top of his head, with strands of dark fur just barely poking out of the tips. His black, oval, half-rimmed glasses complement his small pink nose very well. He always insists that he doesn't want others to boop his "nosie", but secretly wants the boops of those around him. Behind his glasses, his grey eyes seem to blend in with his surrounding face. His chin has short grey fur and his mouth is, of course, very cat-like. He will occasionally "blep", showing off the tip of his soft and bumpy pink tongue. Above his mouth, his whiskers are long and sparse, sitting atop a somewhat pronounced upper lip. His neck and upper chest color contrast the rest of him, as there is a patch of long white fur on his chest, which he sometimes lets others use as a pillow. His paws are the same grey shade as his other fur, save his paw pads, which are darker.
A consistent part of his everyday outfit is his signature hoody. It sports a pawpad-themed zipper, and is also the same shade of grey as Dae's pads. It's a tiny bit too big on him, but he quite enjoys the roominess. Depending on the weather and his mood, he can be seen wearing a wide variety of shirts underneath it. When it's cold out, his shirt style of choice is long sleeves, mostly dark, but sometimes lighter. If it's warmer out, he'll wear brighter plain t-shirts, sometimes without his hoodie. When he's in a great mood, usually due to some sort of event or special occasion, he will break out his supply of cat-themed shirts, which are his favorites. Most of the time, his pants are baggy dress pants or cargo shorts, again, based on the weather. When necessary, such as during a harsh winter, he wears shoes that are specialized for digitigrade use.
Dae's biggest personality trait is his irrepressible friendliness, which stems from a desire to be liked and treated well. He usually trusts those he first meets, often to a fault. He tries to find the good in everyone, often ignoring the bad. Surprisingly, this has not caused any major issues for him thus far. If he's passionate about a topic, he will usually focus on it to the point of detriment to other points of conversation. This oftentimes results in a figurative floodgate opening when someone brings up his favorite things. He's really playful and likes to make a game out of booping his friends, despite avoiding boops himself. Another game he enjoys is sneaking up on his friends in an attempt to startle them. He thinks he's sneaky, but his idea of sneaking around is clumsily stumbling about while narrating his every move. He is different from most cats, as he likes water, especially the warm kind. He'll usually spend a good chunk of time sitting under the shower relaxing and loves hot tubs. One of his largest sources of entertainment while alone is playing video games, particularly on the PC. He doesn't have any specific favorites, but he does prefer games with lots of action.
