The rain pattered down in a calm matter as the white fox rubbed his eyes and got up on his bed. He let out a big yawn and flattened his ears as water dribbled down his soft fur. Once he got the tiredness out of his red eyes, he noticed that his bed was in the middle of the ocean. Strangely enough, he wasn't freaking out. He stared into the water and saw a little humpback whale nudging his bed. Reluctantly, he got onto his knees and pat the humpback on the nose, as the humpback did a playful twirl in the water.

The albino fox looked around and not much was out there, except for mist and an endless ocean. The water splashed lightly against his paws in the water and the humpback kept following, curious about the fox. He swayed his legs slowly in the water, as a steampunk ship half the size of a cargo ship chugged close by. The ship turned and went towards the fox, as a wolf in a navy outfit stared at the fox in disbelief.

"Are... are you okay? How'd you get out here?" The albino fox shrugged and watched as the whale swam down and disappeared into the ocean's depths and the wolf grabbed the fox, pulling him up.

"Well, I guess you're staying with me. I'm Captain Bardou, but you can just call me Rudolph if you wish. And your name...?" The fox tilted his head and stared at Rudolph. He looked at the pretty diamond-white eyes Rudolph had, and his regal features, with a black stripe down the top of his muzzle, separating the grey fur he had. "Are you there?" He asked again, waving in front of the fox's face. The fox shook his head.

"I... I don't have a name." Rudolph frowned.

"No name? You sure? What about this tag on your... er, collar?" Rudolph grabbed him by the collar lightly and stared at the tag. It read Inari, nothing else. "Inari?" Inari rubbed his muzzle and seemed confused, looking like he was trying to remember.

"I... think that's my name. It sounds familiar." Two furred sharks in red navy outfits helped get his bed onto their ship and the bed dribbled water all over the floor. Inari nibbled on his finger anxiously and stared into the misty ocean, as an orca jumped out of the water in the distance.

"Can you bring him to the doctor and accompany him?"

"Sure thing, Rudolph. Come on, pup." The shark said, grabbing ahold of Inari's arm lightly and Inari leaned on him, surprised at how wobbly he, himself was. The shark placed both his arms on Inari's shoulders. "You sure are tense. We'll get you to the doctor. He's the best of the best, I can tell you that much." Inari stopped in his tracks and the shark looked at him wearily.

"I, er, can carry you if you want, pup." Inari didn't respond and the shark shrugged, scooping him up and startling Inari. "Come on." He took them into the living quarters and the warm air inside comforted Inari, as he looked around curiously. There was faint music playing from a room to his left, so he decided to tilt his head and peak. There was an odd device on the bed inside the room and one of the cabin members quickly got up once they noticed Inari peaking.

"What's that glowing thing?" Inari pointed, as the shark stopped and looked over, frowning.

"I'm not sure, pup." The cabin member shut the door and the shark shrugged, continuing forward. Inari stared upward and seemed to get lost in thought, wondering what was happening or why he was here. Soon enough, they were in a white room with a bunch of bottles rolling on the floor and weird things he hasn't seen at all.

"Welcome back, Sharul. What can I help you with?" Sharul placed Inari onto a medical bed and patted Inari on the shoulder as a human came out. His skin was a beautiful brown tan, he had red eyes and short, tidy black hair. He wore some sort of white robe, but the robe only covered his sides. He also wore a blue navy attire under that, and he held some sort of small plank with paper attached to it. Inari's heartbeat raced a little and he glanced at Sharul, who saluted at the doctor and began walking out.

"Ah - Sharul? I think it's best you stay. I have a feeling that the fox has imprinted on you." Sharul turned slowly, looking at the doctor then at Inari. He gave a warm smile.

"If you insist." He pulled up a chair and sat beside Inari as the man prepared some things.

"Hey, mister fox." he said warmly, grabbing something and placing it against his chest. "Are you scared?" Inari suddenly got interested in playing with his hands, and giggled nervously. "Where did you find him?" He asked, picking it up and examining the fox's body, limb by limb.

"The captain found him on a bed, floating in the middle of the ocean." Sharul said, grabbing a book and flipping through the pages.

"I see. Say 'ahhh!'" Said the doctor, as Inari reluctantly followed instructions. The doctor looked into his mouth and adjusted his robe. "There's nothing wrong with him on the outside, but I checked with my, ah, granted vision to see if he has any allergies or symptoms. He has quite a few symptoms and allergies. He's lucky that you found him. Here -- let me write it down." he grabbed a writing utensil out of thin air and, after a few minutes, wrote down all Sharul needed to know, handing over a piece of paper.

"Thanks, doctor. Come on, pup." Sharul scooped up Inari and carried him through the living quarters to his room, placing him on his bed where an aquarium was beside it and a lamp hung from the ceiling. Sharul muttered the notes on the piece of paper.

"Asthma... ADHD... allergic to most meats? Oh, wow. Pup, you're lucky we got you when we did."

"I... I am?" Inari asked, his legs cross legged. Sharul took off his hat and scratched his cheek, placing the hat on his dresser and glancing back at Inari. He needed clothing. Opening a drawer, Sharul pulled out red briefs, grey shorts and a nice, comfy looking black and grey hoodie. He folded them on his left arm and walked over to Inari.

"Come on. Lift up your legs." Inari obeyed reluctantly. He slipped on the briefs, following the shorts and the hoodie. "All right -- I gotta get going, I gotta see to it that the captain doesn't get drunk again." Sharul got up and Inari mumbled, grabbing for his tail.

"Don't leave... please." Inari stuttered. Sharul turned and looked him in the eyes.

"And why not?"

"Please?" Inari asked again. Sharul rubbed his shoulder and, after a few moments, shrugged and closed his door.

"Fine." He got on his bed and Inari inched close to Sharul and flattened his ears. "I'll stay just this once, but next time I have to go do my shift." He wrapped his arm around Inari and Inari rested his head against Sharul's chest, eventually falling asleep.
