Bang!

The gunshot rang out through the alleyway and Matthew Hinder fell dead on the cold cement. His eyes turning over to look at his shooter coughing up blood as his lungs failed him. His vision blurred and everything became dark but the last thought to enter Matthew's mind was

"If I could have started over things would be different."

Enveloped by the cold embrace of Death Matthew opened his eyes seeing not a skeletal reaper but a beautiful woman with golden hair and raven black wings escorting him up to the heavens. He looked down and saw his corpse being looted by his assailant before he ran off and turned to look at the woman dumbfounded and at a loss for words. "Speak not child your tale has already ended you have nothing more to add to it though I know it is of no consolation it was amusing to behold." Matthew heard the words spoken but didn't understand them as his head filled with a benign fog clouding his senses and dulling the shock of having died. The woman held Matthew's hand like a child's and brought him to the gates of the afterlife where a ball of sentient energy waited this was The Observer the watcher of all events and judge of life or as some may call them God. "Be not afraid little one for you are in the presence of true benevolence speak only your mind and they will guide you." The angel of death place a hand on Matthews head before disappearing.

"Matthew Hinder born on July ninth at seven am and died on November second at two pm." The energy orb spoke with a booming voice electricity crackling. "Your life has been filled with petty transgressions and minor acts of violence and sacrilege. You have never had faith in others and thus lacked faith in me but I do not begrudge you. A life spent alone with none who shared your pain or your convictions you turned inward and became corrupted, conceited, and you sought power by any means. For all these plans amounted to nothing you were fated to die alone in a street with nobody to mourn you or notice your disappearance until a trash collector happened upon you, truly an insignificant existence." The orb went into a long winded monologue about Matthew's life causing him to wince at the downplay of his life. "You have made no noticeable impact on the world you lived in so I can not permit you to paradise eternal but you have neither hurt people so badly nor caused so much damage to condemn you to damnation eternal you have put me in a difficult position." The orb lectured and Matthew frowned feeling somehow responsible but confusingly like he was the one in the tough position. "I offer you an ultimatum." The orb suddenly announced. "I will reincarnate you as a new life form and then you will gain a second chance to enter paradise should you fail you will be condemned as I do not make mistakes and your reincarnation would be considered one if you waste that life as well." The orb bared down on Matthew. "Do you think given a new life you could make an impact on the world and prove your worth to me?"

"I do." Matthew responded feeling his words finally come to him. The orb floated contemplating before deciding.

"Very well, I wish you luck on this journey it will be long and arduous but do not lose sight of your goal for failure equals eternal torment and suffering." The orb zapped Matthew obliterating him where he stood. It was dark again and then there was light. Opening his eyes Matthew looked around to discover he was in a room with blue walls and a white ceiling. Moving to his feet he noticed that he wasn't as high as he was accustomed too looking to the left and right he noticed bars and ran up to them grabbing at them afraid he was in some kind of prison. His movement was sluggish and he could barely run but most shockingly was when he gripped the bars and he saw two white fur covered paws instead of his hands. Marveling at his paws he stopped and looked at them, three rounded digits with a fourth on the side but they weren't opposable, a soft tender flesh like padding on the front and thick warm hair on the back. Gripping the bars Matthew shook them and rattled them trying to make noise and yell out for clarity but what escaped him was a meek and quiet mewl.

The noise garnered some attention as Matthew stood in shock watching a gigantic white tigress enter the room. She was dressed in a yellow blouse and a red skirt concealing her body. Her paws were bare and she wore a necklace with a symbol unfamiliar to Matthew but her approach towards him made him fall backwards. When he landed he felt the soft squash of padding unaware of what it was he looked up at the enormous woman and covered his eyes with his paws terrified. "Where's Tyler?" The woman asked with a base filled coo covering her eyes with her paws. "Where'd Tyler go?" She continued to coo and crouched down to be eye level with Matthew. Removing his paws he saw her fang filled smile as she revealed her eyes. "THERE HE IS!" With a rolling purr mixed with a giggle she reached over the bars of the baby crib that Matthew was sitting in and scooped him up placing a hand beneath his bottom and one across his back. She held him close to her chest and Matthew felt the warm breasts of the tigress against his head feeling an innate sense of comfort. "Mommy heard you mewling from down the stairs what's wrong kitten have a bad dream?" The woman walked around the room holding Matthew in her arms stopping in front of a mirror.

Matthews eyes went wide as he saw his reflection. An insignificantly small cat placed in the arms of the much taller woman both covered in white fur and for the first time he could see both of their tails. Matthew's mind raced he couldn't comprehend what was going on he tried to make sense of it but all that escaped his mouth was babbling and mewing. He grasped at the mirror trying to see if it was really him if the thing he was seeing was really him but it was. The reflection grasped and its tail swished drawing the attention of the woman. She turned around and held Matthew out by his under arms a white puffy diaper wrapped around his waist and a soft white furred belly reflected back at him along with tiny whiskers and big blue eyes below triangular ears.

"Who's that in the mirror?" The woman asked and Matthew didn't rightly know letting out a confused mrowl.

"That's right it's Tyler and Mommy!" The woman patronized Matthew but he was slowly coming to terms with the situation. His name was now Tyler and this creature was his mother apparently. Both of them were felines though she was the proportions of a human and he was the proportions of a baby not the tigers that Matthew was familiar with. "Did you want to see Daddy?" Mommy asked and Tyler looked at her unsure of what or who Daddy was, the situation was just getting more confusing as time went on even though it was a fairly simple question. "First though we need to get you a fresh diaper I could feel that soggy bottom just by picking you up!" Mommy cooed and brought Tyler over to the changing table placing him down and fastening the strap across his belly. She went to work changing the kitten and Tyler looked around the room feeling a compelling urge to place his paw in his mouth just for the purpose of calming him down.

A little less hazy from the experience of meeting god and being struck down Matthew who was now Tyler observed the room. It was a nursery, one that Tyler had never seen before. It was strange because despite having a vague sense that he was indeed this Tyler he still had memories of being Matthew but they seemed like vague dreams and unlike Matthew Tyler was codependent on Mommy he was being changed right now further proving that point. Tyler babbled and purred feeling the cool wipes against his front and backside then another soft and warm diaper placed under him before it was pulled up to his waist. Mommy hummed and went about the routine disposing of the soaked diaper.

"All better fresh and clean!" Mommy leaned down and licked Tyler making him erupt into a burst of giggling laughter placing his paws on Mommy's face holding her. "Oops you got me, such a big strong boy." Mommy praised Tyler and nuzzled him affectionately and Matthew took in the act. Growing up his mother was distant and cold she always regretted having him as a teenager and everyone hated him for ruining their futures. This woman clearly wasn't like that Mommy was warm and gentle even though she looked like she could become ferocious at any moment.

"Mommy is baby brother ready?" Behind Mommy a smaller tiger girl dressed in a pink gown like a princess scampered in. Her fur was slightly more blue like ice as opposed to Tyler and Mommy's snow white fur. It was clear from context that this was Tyler's sister probably older considering he seemed to be an infant. It was overwhelming for Matthew to process as he observed from the eyes of Tyler. These animals were his family but they weren't animals they were like humans like he was but now he was like them. Rolling it over and over in his head Tyler became frustrated and began to cry feeling Matthew's confusion. "What's wrong Mommy?" The little tigress leaned up curiously.

"He's probably hungry after the nap it is noon I know lets all have lunch while Daddy finishes his work okay?" Mommy picked Tyler up in one arm and held her other paw out to the little tigress. She smiled and took Mommy's hand walking with her down the stairs of their house to the kitchen. Mommy placed Tyler into a high chair strapping him into it and the little tigress sat in a booster seat. Matthew watched as Mommy began making something unable to tell what it is.

"When are you going to speak me little brother here say my name I'm Cindy" Cindy pressed upon Tyler. "Ciiiiindyyyyy" She pronounced her name slowly and Matthew gave it his all to pronounce the name.

"Sithy" Tyler mouthed and Cindy giggled pointing at him.

"No no silly Cindy cin dy." She repeated and Tyler tried again.

"Sithsy!" The kitten shouted and Mommy looked over.

"Cindy he's not old enough for complex words you have to be patient baby." Mommy admonished Cindy who responded by crossing her arms and pouting.

"I'm not a baby I'm a big girl!" Mommy chuckled and nodded.

"Of course you're the big sister now you're responsible for teaching Tyler right from wrong Cindy so be patient with him to learn how to speak first okay?" Mommy was very good at diplomacy at least with her own children. Cindy nodded and waited for her lunch kicking her feet while she sat at the table singing a song. "For my big girl a big juicy tuna fish sandwich with the crust cut off and warmed in the microwave so it's not to cold just how she likes it." Mommy explained setting down a plate. Cindy let out a loud purr and picked up the sandwich biting into it savagely with her fangs. "And for my little guy." Mommy picked Tyler up and held him against her arm pulling the right side of her top down to reveal her white skinned furless breast accented by her tan nipple. "Milky to help you grow big and strong." Mommy moved her nipple towards Tylers mouth and Matthew had a small panic attack.

"Ew that's gross." Cindy complained while eating her sandwich.

Mommy looked over and tilted her head. "I remember a certain little kitten who was right in this position not to long ago and if I remember correctly she used to drink every day and never complained once." Mommy laughed and Cindy blushed.

"Yeah well that was when I was a kitten I'm not anymore and things change and..." Cindy began to excuse her younger self but Mommy stopped paying attention noticing that Tyler wasn't nursing.

"What's wrong kitten not hungry?" Mommy reached down and squeezed her nipple making it lactate which terrified Matthew. He had never had sex let alone seen a woman's breast and now it was so close to his face and it was leaking warm milk. The concept overwhelmed Matthew making him shut down and refuse to move but to his surprise Tyler had innate animal instincts when his mind failed to guide him. His mouth opened and wrapped around the drippy nipple suckling it for sustenance. Milk flowed down Tyler's throat into his belly filling him with a warm and comforting satisfaction. It felt so comforting that Matthew calmed down and embraced the act moving Tyler's paws to the breast and kneeding it between his hands while sucking. "Good boy you drink up and grow big and strong." Mommy rocked Tyler while feeding him and held a conversation with Cindy about her dolls and their magical adventures.

Mid nursing the front door opened and both Cindy and Mommy turned to look at the hallways hearing the sound of shoes being removed and yawning, a deep baritone growl escaping the hall way. Cindy burst out of her seat and ran towards it screaming "DADDY!" When Cindy reached the ice blue furred tiger she leaped onto him pouncing him with all her might.

"AH!" Daddy shouted in fake surprise grabbing Cindy and twirling her into his arms. "Hello kitten where's Mommy?" Cindy pointed and Daddy placed her on his shoulders walking in to find Mommy and Tyler nursing. "Oh dinner time I wonder what I should have." Daddy commented playfully and Mommy laughed. Tyler watched over the breast he was nursing on to see Daddy walk over and kiss Mommy on the lips briefly and Cindy make a disgusted face.

"How was work sweetie?" Mommy asked Daddy and he began to explain in detail what he did but Tyler was full so he released the nipple and began to doze off, just a little kitten he didn't have much stamina to stay awake. When Tyler closed his eyes Matthew remained an ever presence consciousness inside of Tylers head. Matthew thought about what the day had been like. He was shot, died, met god, was reincarnated, became a baby tiger, met his mommy and daddy and older sister and he was no more informed than when he first woke up. Tyler's brain was still ill formed there were no memories just sensations. Tylers dreams were shapes and colors but not concrete objects but he came to recognize the white circle as Mommy in the dreams and the blue square as Daddy Cindy was a pink triangle.

"You seem like you have it good I hope I don't screw it up for you, Tyler." Matthew said to the subconscious of the child and settled in not knowing what to do when Tyler was inactive.
