#1 of A New Dawn
It was cold, and I was numb. My hands were turning purple and my nose is frozen solid.
I'm a 21-year-old man by the boring name of Matthew Fyre,ironic really, since its so cold to the point of freezing. I was standing in the middle of my driveway, trying to shovel the snow away.
I finally clear the concrete of that awful snow, only to slip on a patch of ice.
A whoop and a crash later,
I'm on my back, and I'm seeing stars. The world was tilted off its axis and I'm just too cold to move.Why didn't I get someone else to do this...
I sigh, feeling no real need to get off the cold ground, and soon, sleep came.

I awake with chills down my spine. It was freezing cold and dark...where am I?
I sit up alarmed. I was naked!
I look around. Darkness stretched for kilometres, and there was nothing in this endless plane of oblivion.
It's horrible, really. There was really nothing to see, nothing to do, and I wasn't hungry or tired.
I couldn't sleep, I couldn't entertain myself. I was driving myself crazy, unable to do anything.
I lay on the ground, crying and yelling out in frustration.
"WHY AM I STUCK HERE? WHAT DID I DO WRONG?" I scream into the grey.
