This was a short, flash-fiction piece I decided to write for my boyfriend, Brisky for his birthday/Valentine's Day. I was gonna keep this private, but I liked how well this turned out that I wanted to share it with you guys.

Hope you guys enjoy! ^^

My eyes blink open as I wake to the smell of roasted coffee beans from the kitchen. The indentation of your strong body and scent lingered in the space where you once slept next to me, along with traces of your brown and tan fur, with hints of black and light blue. I rub my eyes with my light grey paw and sit up in the bed, stretching myself out as I yawn. As my mouth opens wide, my feline teeth and tongue show clear as day for a moment.

Removing the covers and getting off the bed, my nose twitched at the smell of fresh coffee mixed with yours, my sweet coyote. Even us big cats have a natural curiosity and I follow the smells, yet I knew exactly what I would find.

My baby. My coyote. You only wore dark-green plaid pajama bottoms that matched mine when I found you, taking a sip of coffee and still half-awake and groggy. You were leaning on the counter near the coffee pot when I found you, tail drooped and unmoving. Yet the angle was just enough that I could ogle at that cute butt of yours and the chiseled muscles on your back.

Being bipedal has its perks, but it makes pouncing tricky. I crouched low, getting on all fours as my butt wiggled in the air, my green-striped tail flicking, ready to jump at the sexy beast in front of me.

You begin to turn around after your ears twitch from the subtle sounds of my movements, tail swaying behind you.

Then you let out a *yip* when, next thing you know, you had your tiger's arms wrapped around you. A few drops of coffee splashed out from your mug onto the countertop upon impact.

I rub my white, fuzzy cheeks against the back of your neck, letting out a *chuff* once I felt your warmth again. Your presence in my life is more than enough; that alone has motivated us both to achieve our goals in our individual lives.

Yet, when our bodies are pressed together like this, you in my arms, even if they aren't as big and muscular as yours, it reassures me that what we have is real.

And when I go to kiss your cheek, you turn your head at the last second and whack my muzzle with your snout on accident.

I let out a soft mewl but smile anyway as I rub my nose. You let out a sleepy *yip* and I couldn't help but giggle in response; you always did make cute noises for someone with a look of a heavyweight pro wrestler.

After you set your mug down, those large paws caress my frame. My arms move upwards to rest on those strong shoulders.

I love these moments.

You look into my bright, blue eyes with a warm smile across your muzzle; I look into your ruby reds, smiling as my heart races.

And we start our day with a good morning kiss.
