Has Nick gave me his mother's number I paid the bill. Nick joked, "I should question, why you want an old vixen's number, but I like free food."
I responded, "you sold your mother's number for a lunch, good mammals don't do that. You just got to be happy, it's not someone crazy."
Back at the station, me and Nick spent most of the day just doing paper work. Finally, with about an hour left of work, Nick went to the restroom. I quickly took the moment to call Nick's mom. She answered, and we agreed to meet up later that evening.
After work, I quickly got changed and went to her house. Once at her house, I decided to ask, "I am sorry for bothering you, I would just like to ask a question. Bradon's biological mother recently died. After some research, I learned he was taken by Child Protection and later ran away. I just wanted to ask, do you know how he could have survived?"
She though for a moment got up and got something from a closet. She then sat down beside me on the couch, holding a binder. She opened it up, there was a picture of two Red Foxes and a Grey Fox, on the other side looked like a report card with the name Bradon Wilde on it. I looked a little confused than she started to say, "Nick was in third grade when he met Bradon. It was the first day of the school year, and Nick was in detention, their he met Bradon."
No matter how hard I found it odd for someone to get detention on the first day of the school year, Nick doing it made sense. Though Bradon getting detention, seemed very odd.
She continued, "after a few days, Nick asked if I could drop him off, I agreed and dropped him off at the park close by. After about two weeks of dropping him off, I decided to wait. I realized he just walked into the bushes and stayed there. That Friday, invited him to dinner, and sprung the trap of how I knew. I convinced him to live with us, and he just became family, even using the Wilde last name."
I responded, "so when Bradon decided to work for the city, and they had the big fight, Bradon just went back to using his original last name."
She was looking at some old Christmas photos, of all three of them. She said "long story short, yes. Though Nick and Bradon doesn't talk about it much. Which makes sense for Nick, he can stay angry for a long time. It makes no sense with Bradon, he usually explodes and forgets about it."
Has she looked at one of the pictures, while trying hard not shed any tears. She thancontinued, "but back on subject. I just want to get them to stop this stupid fight, so we could be a family again. Do you remember when Nick took you to my home for lunch? The lunch plan was originally planed to sit down and talk about this, like so many other attempts it just seemed to of failed."
While she said that, I thought that lunch with Bradon and Nick. On how during that lunch, Bradon was so nice and Nick just seemed to stay in the corner, Nick seemed so out of place. Something that Nick taught me is very bad, because if someone notices you out of place. They will make note of it, something I presume is really bad for scammers.
