Note: The writings through part one are the writings of Shakti, though she is oriental, much of her english was not polished, though some may take this as a lazy escape, it is to better simulate what a woman of her race may have had some troubles with.

PROLOGUE

Bounding through the extended halls of the smaller abode, the pink furred lion ran from his elder brother. Azraelis often picked on and chased his younger, pink brother Colsen. Though the often rough housing pink pair tore about the house, there was a third, adorned with a precious coat of bronze fur, Tavarius. Who often stuck to his mistress, completing smaller meager tasks while keeping to himself, although his younger brothers were the ones that often dashed about and destroyed much of the property.

"Shaaaktiiii!" One of the pink furred lions, Colsen, called out to his mistress in distress.

"What is it, Love?" Shakti answered, the fair woman stood short, oriental in looks being the only human for miles in the anthropomorphic society, she had full brown hair streaked with fiery red highlights, with amber eyes so deep they rivaled the beauty of the burning sun. Her tight femanine form was often uncovered, near naked. The scantily clad female, who raised her lion servants to hunt, and work for her. The woman's large mammaries were further accentuated by her crimson corset, down to the skin tight skirt wrapped roughly around the curvaceous hips, which was only held up by a rough skinned belt.

"Azzy is picking on me again!" Colsen proclaimed, Azzy was his older brother, by only mere minutes, his name was Azraelis. Colsen and Azraelis were only at a young age of fourteen, but their older brother, Tavarius, was seventeen.

"Was not! I was only giving in to a brotherly temptation, whats wrong with a nice solid punch?" Azraelis asked, his sapphire eyes delved into Shakti's, which had always wamred her heart. The beauty of all her lion's eyes, which gave a sense of innocence to them all.

"What have I told you about playing nice? You end up losing all your fun for the night." The woman crouched down infront of the shorter lion, tapping him lightly on the tip of his nose with her index finger. This caused the boy to reel lightly wiggling his nose. "So.. Promise to not hurt Colsen anymore."

"Fine.. I won't -ever- hurt you again, Cole Slaw." Azraelis promised half heartedly before bounding away to his den. Shakti's hand fell ontop of Colsen's head, giving the hair atop his head a small scruff before wandering to her study. "Come, Tavarius, I need your help." Is the only thing that Shakti needed to say, the eldest lion was already on her heels, ready to serve..

"Thanks for helping me with the books, Tavarius. I don't know what I'd do without you around." Tavarius smiled from the obvious praise given by Shakti, being the oldest male lion around the oasis, he had much to live up to, especially the largest portion of the heavy work. "Do go get your brother's prepared for their nightly chores, hon?"

"Yes, ma'am." Tavarius retorted, slowly leaving from his mistress' study and wandering to find what trouble the pink pair of twins had gotten themselves mixed up in..

"Jeez, Cole Slaw, why'd you have to run to mistress? Now I'm in trouble.." Azraelis whined softly to his brother, working his daily chore of sweeping the daily sand off the deck of their adequatly sized abode. Of course the four were lucky to be living in an oasis out in the savannah, but the sand storms that can frequently would often be bothersome.

"Heh.. You should just learn to stop." Colsen sneered playfully at his brother, giving him a quick boyish wink before setting down his own broom. Colsen was a rarity, much like his brother, they both had a shining pink pelt, and large bushy tail, much like that of a house cat. Though unlike Azraelis, Colsen didn't the bright sapphire eyes, but instead had one amber while the opposite was sapphire itself.

"Can it, fluff!" Azraelis yelled, lifting his broom as if it were a sword and quickly jabbed at Colsen's chest. Though the attack was swift, and gentle being they were only children, still continuing to play, Colsen sidestepped, grabbing his own broom to which he parried Azraelis' ensuing attacks. After moments of dull, unskilled fighting, a figure stopped between the two falling broomsticks, only to catch both in either hand, and tear them away.

"No one can leave you two alone, can they?" It was Tavarius, the bronze lion scolded his younger brothers from their play when they had chores to complete. Tavarius was indeed bronze, though his eyes were a dull copper, unlike his brother's. He had been adopted, just as his brothers were, but at an earlier age, for his strong, working form.

"Guess not, but we finished our chores!!" Azraelis interjected.

"We were just having a bit of fun..." Colsen said sheepishly, he was always cautious when caught doing something he had been told not to, though Tavarius would never turn either of this adopted brothers in to the authority figure. "What was it you needed, bro?"

"Well, Colsen, mistress wants us to get the chores done earlier today, and you should know this by now. " Tavarius continued, slowly he would begin to instruct his brothers, there were tasks from dishes to bathrooms that must be cleaned. "So lets just get these out of the way.. I have to fix the holes you two put in the walls last week, from throwing limestone at eachother."

"Oh whine-whine, you get the fun stuff." Azraelis grumbled, he was more used to the manual labor then opposed to cleaning, like the female lion may have done from where he had come from. But due to the recent equine attacks on smaller feline settlements, all three of the boys lacked having families, or even experiencing the care of any woman besides their mistress...

PROLOGUE PART II: Writing in the Past [Memoirs Part I]

Shakti was alone in her study, letting out sighs of relief as she reclined in her large chair. Opening to continue writing her memoirs, from when she had first met Tavarius. It was awhile before ther quill touched her parchment but by the time it had, the memories poured onto the paper...

Today is the 267th day of the 17th year ~

It had been a rough day... Another large conference between the Equine Sovereignty and the Feline Republic to find negotiations to a peace treaty, but both sides had yet to come to terms. A war between the rival races had raged for near seventeen long, grueling years. Plenty losses have been inflicted on either side, but I had come across a small boy during the Battle for Cheyenne... South of the Equine capitol. His fur was a beautiful bronze, matted by the mud and dirt of war, his parents were lost, as was he. An adorable four year old anthropomorphic lion...

"Oh you poor thing... Where are your parents?" Were the exact words I had spoken, cradling the feline tightly in my arms as he shook, from fear, and most likely sadness of loss only to return small squeeks and whines. Was he too young to experiance this? I had no idea at the time, to young and naive I suppose. Being only nineteen years old, I hadfa tough time deciding, but I finally reached the decision to take him as my own, that was only a week later when I heard his parent's were long lost. Rumor of a brown furred mustang, with a flowing red mane had slaughtered them both. A foot soldier perhaps, it wasn't too uncommon in war.

This war had become genocide since the beginning, races were disappearing, slavery was more common than it had ever been in the world's history, but only two years later... I stumbled upon two of the most rare, yet adorable beings ever... Colsen and Azraelis. It was four hundred and thirty two moons since I found Tavarius, that I discovered the pink pair of twins. Suffering the same fate as Tavarius, but I later found these two were slightly different...

Colsen and Azraelis had been slaves by birth, which was extremely rare occurance. The Equine slavers frowned upon feline young, and often slaughtered litters at a time, infront of their parents...
