Fertile Waters

A trade with feder from a bit ago

The four of them, treasure hunters all, meandered down the temple's crumbling steps without a bit of pep in their step. Harold stared down at his toes and let out intermittent sighs, Tess played with her hair, Jeremy fidgeted and looked this way and that without really looking at anything interesting, and Evan kept mumbling something under his breath that everyone else tried to ignore. They were beyond bored and for good reason too.

"What a waste!" Evan exclaimed. "Just ruins and more ruins and broken down rocks that used to be ruins!"

"Just keep walking," Harold said. "And stop complaining."

"Complaining?" Evan huffed and crossed his arms over his chest. "I'm just vocalizing what everyone else is thinking. Don't lie!"

Before Harold could respond, Tess stopped playing with her hair and spoke.

"He's right," Tess said and laughed. "For once. This place was picked clean years ago. Whoever told you that this place was 'fertile with wealth', well...we are so not working with him again."

"Yeah!" Evan crowed. "Wait, who did tell you about this place anyways, Harold? You waste my time all the time with paperwork and stuff but when it comes to the real work...why, that's when you're right but now you're wrong. Wrong, wrong, wrong!"

"Twasn't me," Harold said. "It was..."

He nodded forward towards Jeremy who walked at the forefront of the group. He was much farther along than the rest.

"Jeremy!" Evan said. "Jeremy convinced you to come here! Hey J! You've wasted our time. No wait, you're wasting our time. We could be back in Tahiti now, sipping hard lemonades and playing with the girls--"

"Guys," Tess said.

"Whatever floats your boat," Evan retorted. "Point is, we struck it rich and now we've struck like, nothing. We could be having fun but instead we're walking around rocks and rocks and rock and it's all Jeremy's fault and he's not saying anything because--"

"Shut up!" Jeremy yelled.

Evan stopped. "Huh? Did he just--"

"Shhh!" Jeremy turned his head and made a shushing motion.

"No, no, no, I'm not being quiet. This is your screw up, you can take responsibility. Why are people so afraid to talk about problems, especially their problems? Like knowing when to--"

"Listen!" Jeremy said, looking forward.

Everyone stopped and there was silence for a moment as they strained their hearing.

"I don't hear nothin'," Evan said. "Just the sweet sound of silence."

"I mean listen to me!" Jeremy replied. "There's something down here. Water and...something shiny!"

"Listen to you?" Tess said. "I want to see!"

He rushed past the other and brushed past Jeremy in not so light a manner. He squinted his eyes and saw what Jeremy saw.

"Hey! Hey!" He motioned towards the others. "Maybe ol' dingbat didn't waste our time! You two have to see this?"

Harold and Tess stepped down the remaining stairs until they stood on either side of Jeremy. He pointed out and they saw it too.

Before them lay a long, rectangular clear pool of water that started off so shallow that its tiled white floors merely seemed wet rather than covered by a film of water. The pool did descend deeper and deeper the farther along they looked until they saw a short pedestal near the center of the end of the pool. Upon the pedestal was something that shined so brightly it was difficult to tell what it was from their current position.

"Would you look at that..." Harold said.

"What do you think it is?" Jeremy asked.

"Gold, duh," Tess said.

"Whatever it is," Jeremy said. "I'm getting to it first."

"Wait!"

But it was too late. Jeremy stepped into the pool with a small splash and then turned around.

"What?" he asked, motioned down towards his boots. The water barely lapped at his soles. "It's just water."

"Water that's been here for a long time," Tess said. "It could be diseased or something!"

Jeremy rolled his eyes. "Yeah right. This stuff is as clear as glass. Usually when water's diseased or something there's something weird floating in it. Like, dead things or logs or--"

"Logs?" Harold said. "Like wood?"

"You know what I meant! Anyways, since when are we scared about a little water? We're treasure hunters not...not..." He shook his head. "Forget about it! Point is, we're not going to die from getting a little wet."

"Wet?" Tess laughed. "Ok fine, but what if it's cursed?"

"Cursed? This isn't King Tet--"

"Tut," Evan corrected.

"King Tet's tomb. Plus, that's stuff ain't real. This is just some golden statue some idiots left here because they thought it was important not because it's gold but because...who knows? Where are we again?"

"Ep'Al-SetSur--"

"Forget about it," Jeremy said. "Let's nab this thing."

Harold looked to Tess, Tess looked to Evan, and then they all shrugged.

"Wait up!" Tess called, splashing in after Jeremy so that the water came up to their ankles.

Evan started to follow and then turned to see that Harold had yet to move.

"What's up?" he said.

"Oh, nothing," Harold said, stooping down and beginning to unlace his boots. "I just hate wet boots." He grimaced. "And wet socks."

Evan nodded and waited for Harold to take off his boots. When he was ready, they both stepped into the water. At the sound of their entrance, Jeremy turned and scrunched up his face at the sight of Harold's bare feet.

"Ugh!" he said. "If the water wasn't diseased, it sure is now."

"Shut up," Harold grunted.

As a surprise to all, Jeremy actually did shut up. In fact, the whole group fell silent with the only sound that could be head was the water splashing and displacing from their short steps. Despite their initial excitement, none of the four felt like rushing towards the shining something anymore. They all took it slow, gently walking as their minds were set at ease.

"You know," Jeremy said. "This is actually quite nice. It's nice to have some quiet."

Tess snorted. "Said the guy who was complaining for the past couple hours while the rest of us were quiet."

"Yeah, but that's because I thought this was pointless but now there's like...peace."

"Well, there was until you started talking again," Harold pointed out.

"Sorry! I'll shut up."

Again, everyone else was surprised when Jeremy fell silent. The group trudged forward until Tess stopped and tapped Jeremy's shoulder.

"Hey," she said. "What's wrong with your face?"

"Huh?" he turned towards her. "Is this some sort of joke? Come on! I said I would shut up!"

"No, no, really. There's something white on your face."

"Oh, come on! I got to the same place as you to tan!" Jeremy exclaimed. Before he could retort, he saw something and was no longer concerned with himself. "Hey! Are your boobs bigger?"

"What?" Tess covered her chest, blushing. "You little--"

"No really!"

"Jeremy..." Harold grumbled.

"What?" Jeremy said, looking towards Harold and Evan. "They are! Look for yourself!"

Harold blinked. Jeremy's face did have some white on it--fuzzy patches of white that were starting to spread. He was about to say something when he absentmindedly scratched at his own face and felt fur there too!

"What the..." he muttered, his gaze dropping away from Jeremy and consequently landing on Tess's chest. It was a bit bigger...and what was wrong with that? He shook his head and looked towards the shining something. Instantly a feeling of peace washed over him.

"Just keep moving," he grunted. "Stop squabbling."

Jeremy and Tess glared at each other but nodded. They turned back towards the shining something and began to walk again. Evan, who hadn't become involved in the altercation, was now ahead of the rest and the water had come past his knees. Harold followed a little farther behind him and watched the other man move. He carried himself in a different manner and Harold noticed that Evan had started to sway his hips that had to be wider than they had been moments ago. Harold giggled but didn't say anything, especially when he felt his own hips expands, warmly and fluidly so that it only registered in the back of his mind just like the encroaching fur across his limbs.

"Bigger boobs," Tess muttered. "Have you taken a look at yourself?"

"Yeah!" Jeremy said, turning to the side and cupping small growths that could only be the beginning of breasts. "What, are you jealous?"

"No." Tess smirked and her fur covered face began to subtly twist just as less than subtle things happened to her ears. They crawled up the sides of her skull and reached the top. From here they simply sprouted, elongating into furry, fuzzy bunny ears. Neither she nor Jeremy seemed to mind, especially when the same thing happened to him. He seemed to be more smug about the fact that his breasts continued to grow from lemon-sized lumps to full perky orbs that pressed against his shirt. He stuck out his tongue and at that moment his face pressed forward, reshaping into a lapine muzzle. His human hair receded, letting his cranium becoming totally covered in soft white fur. He didn't seem to care and his small, pink nose twitched with amusement when he saw the same thing happen to Tess. He chuckled, the pitch of his voice rising as a notable protrusion on his shorter neck shrank away.

"Um, guys?"

Harold stopped staring at Tess and Jeremy and they ceased teasing each other. The three turned their attention to Evan, or whom they could only assume to be Evan. He was now up to his waist in the water. Like Tess and Jeremy, he had the head of a rabbit but he was further along than them in other ways. His shoulders were slimmer like Tess's and his clothes hung loose on a small frame. His pants barely stayed on his wide hips and his breasts bulged against his shirt. Something bulged against his pants to and he was doing a terrible job of covering up with one pawlike hand. In his other hand he held an empty water bottle.

"Do you think this stuff is safe to drink?" Evan asked in a voice high and sweet.

"Well," Jeremy answered in an equally feminine voice. "Harold's feet has been in it, but..."

Evan shrugged his slim shoulders, took the top off his water bottle, and filled it up. He took a sip.

"Wow," she said, eyes wide as long feminine lashes grew out on them and pupils turned brown. "This stuff is great."

He drank a bit more and the bulge at his crotch began to diminish.

"Unf!" he grunted. "My shoes!"

He bent over and placed his arms underwater as he started to unlace his boots. As he bent down, his pants finally became too loose. They and Evan's underwear fell away, exposing a rounded, heartshaped fluffy rear and full, thick thighs.

"Eep!" Evan squeaked as a small cottonball shaped tail grew out above his rear. He stood up straight and his crotch was on sight for all to see, not there was much to see. As the others watched, what remained of his masculinity melted away. In its place was a feminine slit slightly hidden by white fur.

"Oh my," Evan giggled. "I'm a girl!"

"Right you are, sister!" Tess said, hopping over to the newly minted female. "And you're quite cute!"

"Hey!" Jeremy said, bounding after them and subsequently dropping his pants. He too had a rabbity tail and there was little left of his own manhood. "I'm cuter!"

Harold watched the scene and realized something. He was...he was very thirsty. He took out his canteen and found it empty. Thankfully, there was water nearby and plenty of it. He giggled and filled up his canteen before taking a deep drink.

As Harold drank, his body rushed to match the changes of the others. The fur finished its spread across his body and soon he suckled at the canteen with a lapine muzzle, some teeth falling out while others became larger and more prominent. His nipples stiffened and pressed uncomfortably pleasurably against his shirt as furred flesh beneath swelled into bouncing breasts. For a second, his member stood at full attention and then retreated into a freshly formed slit like a rabbit escaping into its burrow. It would never emerge again, however, whittled down into a nubby clit that nestled itself within the formation of her labia. He giggled and wiggled his widening hips as he became a she. Like the others, her jeans fell into the water, no longer able to accommodate her hips. She wiggled her rear too, squirming as it plumped out and a tail sprouted out above it. She clutched at the canteen tighter as her feet and hands transitioned into more pawlike shapes, less dextrous but better for digging burrows. Finally, she rubbed her thickening thighs together, squeaked when her waist pinched in and revelled at the feeling of emptiness below as she finished her drink. She dropped it and let it fall into the water. She looked up to the others.

They were all adorable bunnygirls, just like her. Evan was the tallest, Tess the thickest, and Jeremy the smallest but bustiest. They had doffed their clothes and were now totally nude. And Harold? She supposed she was the average of them all. They all looked at Harold expectantly as they stood in water that came up to their stomach. She stepped towards them and felt sudden warmth fill her womb. She tossed off her shirt.

"Oh!" she cried out, clutching her stomach as it gurgled and churned. "Oh, oh my!"

Before her very eyes her belly began to expand and became firmer. At first she worried she was putting on weight, but it wasn't that kind of weight. Instead of soft, gentle fat it was something firmer and livelier and it most definitely had weight. Her belly continued to swell and swell and soon enough she began to feel some things begin to move inside, if only slightly.

"My goodness!" she exclaimed. Her eyes widened as she realized what was happening. Those things moving in her burgeoning belly were her...her kits! Which meant she was pregnant!

"My goodness!" she said again, this time giggling. It was no longer frightening, this was exciting and wonderful! She was going to be a mother!

At this thought, two things happened. First, her breasts began to swell along with her stomach, feeling with something that sloshed and made her nipples feel tight and tense. She squeezed a nipple and exclaimed as a squirt of milk spilled out. Second, Harold's mind pulled away from the situation. For the first time since she had entered the pool, she realized what had happened. She had just turned into a bunny! A humanoid bunny, a female one at that with tits and a tail and a womb that was already set to work. She and the rest of her friends whom she looked at now. Like her, they swelled and would soon be far into their respective pregnancies. Like her, they seemed a little troubled by this fact.

Harold turned her gaze towards what could only be the source of this all--the shining something. She looked up and it was no longer a shining something. It was a simple stone statue of a sitting bunny girl like her with round breasts and an even rounder stomach. It was some freaky fertility statue and as she looked its carved eyes began to glow.

Unsure what else to do, she stared into those eyes and felt the same peace as before.

Mother, the statue said without saying.

Of course! She was a mother first and foremost. Why else would she have a belly full of kits, the generation to come? What else would she be? She giggled and rubbed her full, pregnant belly without any trepidation. It was no longer cause of concern, but solace. Wealth she had once wanted was no longer worth anything compared to the life she now held.

Woman.

Harold almost said "duh" to this, but kept her muzzle shut. If she was a mother, then of course she was a woman! A bunny woman! With soft white fur and tits and a pussy down below. She giggled. And she couldn't forget the cute lil' ears and tail! She wiggled her rear. She could be sexy still even if she was pregnant. She smirked. Especially if she was pregnant.

Leader.

This one set in easiest of all. She had been the leader of the group then so why not now? This time though, she would be as a matriarchal matron. She would ensure the others took her responsibilities as seriously as she did, though she couldn't imagine them not.

The statue's light went out and no longer was it simple. It once again was gold, though its glow had diminished.

Harold blinked. Released from its hold, she felt at ease. She placed her paws over her rounded belly and waddled over to her fellow mothers.

"Oh, this is wonderful!" she said. "Fertile with wealth indeed! We've never been richer with life!"

"You can say that again, sister," Jeremy said. "Uh, but now what?"

Harold looked to the statue. A smile came over her lapine features and her buckteeth stood out.

"We should bring it back," she said. "We should share this wealth with the crew at the camp. We're all gonna be rich!

The rest of the bunnygirls nodded and even hopped a little in excitement. Tess and Evan took the idol down and held it between their pregnant bellies.

"We'll take turns," Harold said. She stepped towards the stairs. "Come on, girls. Up we go!"

The others giggled and hopped after her.
