A story regarding the morning goings on of The Velvet-Cavern Casino. Long regarded as the stomping grounds of the rogue and nefarious Super villain Dominion!

Signing up for a job there can be a harrowing place if you don't have the right credentials. They only take the finest.

This was a story I scribbled up with the help of Rufellen for Forest-wolf's birthday a couple weeks back. :3

Morning Meetings. © Tsumi Moogle '14 Characters themselves. Happy Birthday, FoWo! <3 It was with mild trepidation that the young canine regarded the face of the rather fancy and well-to-do casino. The docks along which it was built were notoriously rough areas, but in the daytime, the place seemed wonderfully.. presentable. An odd duality that he thankfully had seen only the lighter part of. The bouncers to either side of the door appraised him, shorter, in his modest business-casual slacks and button-up shirt. The tie done up a little tight, but for the butterflies in his stomach it almost kept him grounded. Or maybe it was the slight lack of oxygen that kept him from hyperventilating and screaming in fright. He hated interviews. But the recruitment agency had put him up to it, and he couldn't put his outstanding bills off any longer. After showing his credentials and paperwork to the taller of the two bouncers, the young canine was permitted in. The sliding glass doors giving a faint waft of the cooler air within, hissing gently on their hydraulics before closing behind him. Plush scarlet carpeting and rich dark-wood panelling on just about everything. The foyer of the casino was almost empty, save a couple seats, and a large counter. More than likely for admission and coat-taking.

A door opening to one side admitted a young rabbit in rather similar work-wear to the canine. A caramel furred form, he smiled as he greeted the canine, taking in the white-and-brown spotted form with his rounded, floppy ears and nervous brown eyes. 'You must be Marcel. Come on through, Mr. Phelps is quite keen to meet you. I'm Samuel.' The rabbit said with a disarming smile and hand-shake. He knew well the nerves it took to be here, it seemed. Nodding faintly, the canine followed after the rabbit. The doorway leading through to a slightly more sterile hallway: sumptuous wood panelling easing immediately into smokey white glass walls and floor-mounted lighting. Through a couple of twisting turns, and straight through the chrome-finish of an expansive office area. Numerous cubicles set up, with a rather disproportionate number of long lepin ears perking up from among them. Finally passing another hall and stopping at a solid black door, the rabbit smiled. 'Just relax. Mr. Phelps is a wonderful sort. I'm sure you'll leave a wonderful taste in his mouth. ..Er, a wonderful impression. Pardon me, I haven't had my coffee..' Laughed the rabbit appologetically. Marcel could only blink at the expression, watching the rabbit head back towards the cubicles. Looking to the door again, he took a breath and knocked. 'Come in!' Came a modest toned voice from behind the door. With a swallow, the canine turned the handle and stepped inside. The red from the entrance hall had returned. Mingling with the chrome and black, with several curiously hexagonal patterns on the thick carpeting. Mr. Phelps was not behind the large wooden desk, but leaning against the front of it. He was a Ram. Roughly Marcel's size, with what appeared to be shaved skin, gently bronzed, and a hairstyle that made the young canine blink. A blocky, pyramid-like mohawk, with thick golden braids to the back of his head. A snug and handsome jacket over a simple vest, and dress pants. He was not quite the image the young canine had envisioned for someone so high up the pecking order in a place like this. 'I- I'm-' stuttered the canine, near tripping on his own feet as his nerves set in once more. Aesc smiled gently as he took in the rather endearingly bashful and clumsy canine. He took the hand, more to catch Marcel from tripping than anything else. 'Marcel. yes, I'm aware.' nodded the ram, straightening up the canine and nodding gently. 'Oh.' Murmured the canine, adjusting his paperwork and offering it up gently. Aesc took it perfunctorily, giving it a momentary glance. Definitely the recruitment agency's newest offer.

The air felt rather thick, to the canine. Moments ticking away where his first impression was easing, he was sure, into one of clumsyness and awkwardness.. 'Er.. I'm afraid I'm not a rabbit like most of the work-force, but I know I'd be just has hard a worker, and an excellent addition here. The agency were positively beaming when they had a position here to offer.' Aesc smiled again, this time a little more indulgently. 'Oh, well we can certainly fix that. We do enjoy a certain level of uniformity around here.' 'U-uniformity?' Stuttered marcel, before Aesc drew something from the desk behind him and pointed it at him. A gun. At least, the momentary glance downwards told Marcel that. He registered shock and fright, hands going to lift with his eyes closing tight. 'Don't hurt m-'

The sound preluded a bright flashing ray and faint buzzing. Marcel's form seizing for a moment before it began to warp and shift. A thick coronal glow, retaining the likeness of his old shape holding in place as those floppy ears grew. his muzzle and tail shrank as his feet swelled out. He retained his colouring, even as his body shrank a few inches and plumped out a little bit. As his shape seemed to solidify into the new lapine look, the shadow of his former self held fast in the air for a moment before fading away with a soft flash. The sensation making the former-canid's eyes blink open, he looked down to himself, to his hands, and up to his ears which flopped about awkwardly. Aesc couldn't help grinning. Marcel had been an adorable dog, and now he was a positively adorable rabbit.. 'W-What did you do?!' Squeaked the bunny, covering his muzzle with his softer hands. his voice was higher, speech a little thicker for his larger teeth. Aesc gave a delighted bleat and holstered the ray-gun. he reached forward to reel the young buck in against him. 'Oh, nothing much. Just decided to see how well we could make you fit in.' He smiled faintly, muzzle leaning in. Marcel stared, cheeks and ears burning a little. Shock and confusion rampant as the taller male held him easily. Was this some bizzare character test? Still a part of the interview? His heart pounded easily, being that of a rabbit's now. 'L-.. Like I said, I'm a.. a hard worker, and.. I get along with.. with people we-mmph' He was silenced as the ram's muzzle yawned slowly, glomping over his smaller muzzle. Suckling gently and trailing a thicker tongue along his chin and cheeks. Marcel's eyes grew wider with confusion, panting in the humid, minty breath of the ram, admitting a confused, muffled noise.. And then the muzzle descended, as the ram's capped fingers grasped at his wrists. The bunny's muzzle slide over the back of the ram's tongue, impacting the pillowy flesh of Aesc's gullet. Confusion readily gave way to terrified realization, and before he could really get struggling, Marcel felt the ram swallow. The flesh constricted and drew him headlong into the dank darkness. Stiffling heat clinging to his head and neck and shoulders as the furless sheep made an easy task of ingesting the young rabbit. The bunny tried to scream and struggle, legs flopping in the air, paddling haplessly as he cried mutedly into the roiling throat flesh for help that could certainly not hear him. Smirking faintly as he wholly ignored those protests, the ram trailed and ground his tongue over the rabbit's form, plucking the handsome shirt aside, stripping the pants free from the young job-seeker. The canine had been modestly built. Where his rabbit shape was rather less so. The soft fur and flesh beneath though was still a succulent treat to taste and tongue over, as Aesc leaned against his desk, raising his head to swallow. His belly distended, popping the buttons of his vest as Marcel's head vanished into his gut. More to follow as Aesc groaned, soon tonguing along abdomen and broader hips. He suckled, savoring the richer flavoures, and letting the young buck's own weight drag him down, slipping, and sliding and grinding his own struggling form into the pit of his stomach. And even for the precarious position, the dreadful terror and ominous fate that appeared to await him, Marcel found himself blushing as the slick, hot flesh ground and contorted toying, cloyingly about his nude form. His legs wrung, trying to tuck as they vanished passed those jaws and on down.. It was bare moments, before Aesc's jaws sealed closed past the padded feet. He grinned to himself, suckling and slathering over the twitching, broad feet, before tilting his head back with a gentle little 'glrk', rolling the last of the young prospective employee over the back of his tongue and into the embrace of his first stomach.. 'Mmmh.. Good bye, Mr Brown.' Murmured the ram as he panted. Supporting his weighty middle and carefully padding about his desk. He eased into the high backed, plush leather chair and groaned as he reclined, the thick weight spilling over his lap.

'Wh-What..?! Why?! This isn't an interview..! let me out!!' Screamed the rabbit as he found himself right-ways up. The air achingly thick and the stomach walls unhelpfully tight. It was hard to move, hard to breath within the ram. 'Oh, I'm afraid I've already assessed your application, and I'm afraid you just don't match with what we're looking for as a new secretary.. Thank you for applying, but your services..' he paused for a moment and let out a rather raucous belch that tightened his belly. Leaving it struggling frantically for a moment or two before stilling. '..Will no longer be required.' The ram smiled, licking his lips as he kneaded a hand over his stomach. He paused as the door to his office opened, admitting another rabbit into the office. A familiar one, this time. Bobby Nettin. Minion 4826. he had several folders in his arms, and an awed and cautious look on his face as he regarded the ram's stomach. Aesc simply smiled, beckoning gently and reaching for the papers. After releasing them to his superior, the rabbit stood for a moment.. And easing about behind the desk, began to knead and rub on the ram's stomach. The churning flesh growing a little louder as the slow, grinding touch began assisting it along on its task. Aesc groaned gently, smiling appreciatively as he began going over the contents of the folders, before eying the newspaper atop them. The feel of the hands mooshing and sloshing the young former bunny within his stomach an added delightful bonus to his morning. Trailing his lips along his lips, he regarded the stories, Morpheus having rescued a busful of tourists from Everyman, the rather lopsided villain a shape-shifter like the hero, but with a considerable talent for mayhem.. Another news piece on Frostbite's re-emergence. Several crime scenes having his signature touch applied to security guards and witnesses.. The Tibbit had been difficult to determine. He was definitely not a hero, but thus far had yet to side with any known organizations. He'd at least met with the Ram and Trish. And left with a couple of minions as a gesture of good will.. But he'd also invited himself to interfere in at least one of their plans in the past, as well.. His already being part rabbit, and being able to refract the bunnification ray with ice made him difficult to sway to Dominion's hold.. Several pages of sports that he readily skipped.. Political jargon regarding foreign policy.. Aesc paused as the ongoing kneading drew another percolating belch from his lips, splattering the mid-page with Marcel's tie.. He tutted and smirked, closing the news paper, looking down to the minion rabbit who shivered as the belly groaned louder and his hands sank deeper. 'Er.. Do you have.. any other appointments this morning, sir..? Should I brew up a pot of tea?' Bobby murmured faintly. Aesc grinned. 'Mmnh..? Oh, no tea, thank you. That will do for now. If you'd be so kind as to let Trish know I'm free when she arrives. ..Oh, and that word out there is that new moogle super hero is expected sometime around three this afternoon. Make certain the Anti-geo-dynamic field generator is online. The boy's rather a bit inexperienced and has been telegraphing his ideas.' The minion looked a little confused, but nodded, saluting as he straightened up and hurrying from the room. He apparently couldn't help binkying slightly at not getting eaten as well. Aesc bleated in amusement, settling down with the folders, scratching away over a few with his pen until the door opened for the third time that morning. The face of his co-worker and fellow manager Trisha Hunter peeked through, and straightening up, she stepped inside. Always an exquisite dresser, her ebon form was framed in snug, scarlet hemmed skirt and business blazer. Her longer hair full and wavey, falling easily about her shoulders. She adjusted her red-coloured clip-boared, smiling in a gentle, but guaging fashion. 'Good morning, sugar.' She offered in her smooth and near sultry tone. Aesc waved in welcome, baah'ing lowly. His stomach was efficient, where rabbits were concerned. Marcel long forgotten in name, face, and just about form. His stomach was quite smooth, if still a little raised. 'Morning, Trish. I'm afraid that new secretary just didn't- Uurp.. -Work out. I couldn't resist him.. And if I couldn't, well, there's no way the boss would have.' The tall, rabbit inclined her head gently, smiling in a knowing fashion. 'I'm aware. I saw his file, and thought such might be the case. He certainly was a looker. I'm afraid though, that you'll have to be the one to let the recruitment agency know their numbers will be down again. At this rate, they'll stop doing business with us if they continue having such a terrible downturn..' Tossing her hair and giving a faint sigh, she approached the side of the desk, leaning gently on it and walking a pair of slim, well manicured fingers up the ram's stomach. 'Of course, if you felt so inclined, you could pass his er.. remnants to the research boys. They've been looking at a certain degree of.. refigurement. Might save us a little undue paperwork.' She mused, lifting her honey golden eyes to the Ram's lighter blues, smiling. Murmuring gently and smiling, Aesc reclined a little deeper into his chair, pressing his stomach up against the rabbit's touch as Trish gave a gentle scritch. 'Mmhm.. Sure, I'll pass him on down to R&D as soon as I'm done. ..So, what's on our agenda today?' Trish leant back up, sitting on the edge of the desk and crossing her legs modestly. Consulting her chart she adjusted a stray bang of hair.

'Hmm.. Well, we have a couple of smaller businesses that have decided to take up our business proposal. We'll be on site for the merger of Blacks and broad.. There's a small meeting for the pound- er.. paper-pushers around lunch time.' Aesc licked his lips and grinned. Maybe they would be able to give out an award or two. and Discipline a couple of slackers.. 'The intended busy-to-do with this new hero figure.. We estimate him in around two-thirty, maybe three.. I've scheduled him a half hour block for when he does arrive, but let's do try to have things with him wrapped up in fifteen?' Trish murmured gently, smiling. 'Oh yes, The Greyson report if you have it, sugar.' Trish added as an afterthought. Aesc paused as he reached for his paper work as the door opened again. Another rabbit stepping in, tugging his tie free and unbuttoning his shirt. He froze when he saw Trish, gaze darting to Aesc's face, and back to the other rabbit's. Trish's eyebrows raised slowly, and regarded Aesc with a pursed-lipped, side-long gaze. 'Minion 6138, sugar, please refrain from barging in on morning meetings.. And I thought we'd mentioned before to keep your sub-bench fraternising to after-hours?' The tone sounded quite sweet, endearingly playful. But the threat behind it was near palpable to the rampantly blushing buck. 'Y-yes Ma'am. Sorry.' 6138 murmured, stepping back, tugging his tie back up with a swallow. Aesc mouthed from behind Trish's back. 'Trap door.' before pulling a straight face as the feline lape turned back to him, hand out expectantly. He neatly slid the greyson report into her hand, trying not to look too embarrassed by his mischief. 'Ahem, yes. The Greyson report.. And I'm also going to be halting our recruitment for a few weeks. We have rather too many minions right now.' Aesc said, trying to restore his modest tone and work ethic. Trish nodded gently in agreement. 'Well, given Forest has been away for a couple weeks, we've had little to no.. Turn-over.' She murmured lightly, eying the glass-wall where the shadow of minion 6138 had hesitated, feet from the door. 'Not to mention we haven't quite had time to really weed out the less.. work-oriented while he's away.' Frowning, Aesc cleared his throat. 'I know I like to play.. And that there is a time and a place for it.' He murmured, reaching for his laptop. Tapping away and reassigning 6138. The young rabbit would be first on the ground at the airport to see the wolf returning from his trip that evening. 'So, other than offer a couple of miscreant layabout minions to him this evening, any thoughts, or plans for when Forest gets back?' Trish considered the question a moment, letting her eyes trail from the sheep, to the roof in mild consideration. 'Well, he'll be back from a business trip, so, why could up and take a number of minions on the town. You know, unwind.' Aesc's muzzle pursed a little. 'And be interfered with by any would-be heroes, on his first night back?'

'Well, we could always play by the rules, just go in dress up to a movie night or the sort.'

'Buy out one or two of the movie halls just for us and the minions, hmm?'

'Indeed. We'd not be breaking any rules at all. Any hero that intended to interfere could well be done for interference, aggravated assault, intimidation.. And leave us perfectly free to.. defend ourselves.' Trish smiled sweetly, as Aesc bleated a bright chuckle.

'It would be like offering themselves up on a platter, legally! I'll put it to Forest when he gets back. Oh, in unrelated news.. I received a formal acceptance notice from Nostor Incorporated Laboratories, this morning. They are going to deliver those components for the new security system tomorrow.' Trish took her turn to let a faint frown crease her brow. 'We still haven't managed to get our full report on that company.. There's still so much we're not aware of, in regards to them.. It feels like such a gamble, but then..' She looked about the place, deep in the heart of a casino. 'Forest did always enjoy living dangerously.' 'Indeed, it's rather hard to get reliable reports out of there.' Continued Aesc, glad to be free of Trisha's skeptical and piercing gaze. 'They hardly hire anyone externally, or invite people to their main building.. As far as we've been able to tell they have at least Eight locations, and I've only ever found two of them.. I'm quite sure the Rat pack work for them, 100 percent..' Regarding her clip-board, more deep in thought than perusing any actual paperwork, Trish nodded gently. 'There are rumors that they're in dock work, factory work, and even certain television shows and channels. They appear quite influential, even if they don't make a big name for themselves on the surface..' She thought for a moment of her siblings, More than one with a business to their name. She put the thought of them from her mind with a gentle shake of her head. 'Indeed, and not to mention,' said Aesc as he perused his laptop. 'The mayor appears to meet one of their top people at least twice a week. I tried to get in on one of those meetings with a spy and lost an entire recon team.' Trish's eyes widened a little as she eyed the Ram. 'Really? Forest must have kept that file from me. Did they detain you or..?' She asked gently, smiling as she leaned on a hand towards the ram. 'Oh no, not me. I was on oversight here, watching things proceed. The team were all arrested by what ammounted to a SWAT team. They vanished into an underground car park, and I never heard from, or found any sign of them again..' Ahh'ing gently, Trish toyed a hand through her hair. 'Hmm.. We should see if we could hire Morpheus on, then.' She smiled for the Ram shifting uncomfortably in his seat. 'Anyway, I should really be getting back to work. If you need me, I'll be in my office, sugar.' She smiled as she gave the ram's ears and mohawk a gentle combing pet and scritching. As she leaned back, she smiled in a rather pleased fashion. The Ram's outfit and hairstyle went so wonderfully. She was ever delighted to see an outfit of hers worn well.. Shivering for the petting, Aesc couldn't help grinning and giving a wink. 'Well, any time you want to ride the ram express, Trish, just ask.' he gave a low, seductive 'Baahaa'. 'See you later, honey.' Trish paused as she got to her feet, looking to her co-worker with amusement and a skeptically raised eyebrow. 'Beg your pardon? A train, hmm? Big powerful locomotive, hmm?' Not about to let his bravado fail to her playful jibe, Aesc gave another Baahaaa and wink. 'Offer's always open, Trish.' Giving a soft giggle, Trish gave another gentle toss of her magnificent head, shimmery hair catching the warm lighting as it draped along a shoulder. 'Oh, I don't think you'd much enjoy it, sugar. I play rough.' She gave another soft, sultry wink and padded from the office, fluttering her tailspade as she closed the door behind her.

Aesc paused as a small hatch beneath his desk lifted up. 6138 peering up between the ram's legs with a playful, keen smile. The ram just licked his lips, grinning as he adjusted himself in his seat..
