The Ritualist

Formerly known as Tobias Roman, this individual once had a rather laid back and 'go with the flow' approach to life. Highly likable and sociable, Tobias was considered the most impulsive of the group of four friends that consist of the Series 2s. Though moderately intelligent and driven, Tobias was satisfied with meeting the minimum requirements to pass the trials of life. That said, when cornered, he is nonetheless capable of rallying and pulling off incredible feats. Predictive timeline analysis suggests that should he not have been affected by the Woodfather, he would have grown up to travel the world, doing odd jobs to survive and eventually finding his place in Japan where his impulsive behaviour would have him join a Japanese J-Pop band as the 'token white guy'. Though his stint as a pop star would only last for five years, he would take the advice of Siddarth and invest the money in _Lancaster._His stocks would see his reckless behaviour well into his fifties where he would subsequently die from a skiing accident.
Description ** **
The Ritualist is a moderately tall Woodfather Variant at about 8'9'' with a lean, athletic build. He possesses golden blonde hair and has prevalent, glowing tattoos all over his body that emit a green light. Interestingly, the Ritualist is capable of manifesting various limbs from four 'nodes' that these tattoos form on his back from wings, tentacles to extra limbs. These limbs seem to be created from his soul and can directly impact the environment around him. Additionally, he is fully capable of manipulating his own physical form and that of the environment around him using the energies of the network that all Woodfather Variants are connected to. This allows him to execute 'miracles' that often defy logic.
Transformation Medium ** **
Tobias' transformation medium is poorly understood but he seems to be capable of immediately targeting the 'soul' of a target. It is possible that he could do this remotely but so far, evidence points that he needs to be in physical, intimate contact with his target to be able to reshape their soul and through that, their body. It should be noted that he is only capable of doing this when the majority of the network support him as he channels their power through him as a living conduit to the network. It is not yet known what would happen if he were not connected to network at all but this level of power is akin to low-level reality bending and, as with all RB abilities, is considered extremely dangerous. Something of note, however, is that he cannot destroy a soul in its entirety. He has shown the ability to splinter a soul into a hundred parts and 'freeing' the trapped individual within but never fully destroy. It is believed that this comes from the Woodfather's edict of not killing anyone and that the Ritualist doesn't force his transformations onto others but simply makes the soul capable of manifesting their desires into the physical plane.
Countermeasures ** **
Standard reality anchor will be enough to nullify the spiritual manipulation of the Ritualist. Severing his ties with the network would also work as it would render him incapable of using its vast powers to his advantage. This does not mean that the Ritualist is helpless without the network. His own soul is incredibly powerful and he can sustain himself on it alone. That said, using one's own power to manipulate matter and reality is incredibly taxing on the soul so it goes without saying that the Ritualist is somewhat of a glass-cannon and once his pool of energies are exhausted, he can be easily defeated.
Director's Notes ** **
The versatility of the Ritualist has various applications and its reality bending abilities make it a very valuable asset. I've noted that it is able to 'tap' into the energies of nature around it after some development. This suggests that it has much more potential as an actual 'druid-type' than its limited reach in its current form. A Ritualist could be a very powerful specialist in the field or a support member that empowers those around him. It would be worth investigating ways to further train our assets in the Ritualist Variant to see exactly what they can eventually develop and how they use their powers but it's need for a connection to an ethereal network could foster a dependence on said network. Loss of self and identity becomes a very real risk. We need to hamper this downside someway.
The Herd

Luis Caldwell was the first of the Herd. An opportunistic police officer, Luis had a very loose sense of morals that spawned from being disillusioned to the bureaucracy that comes with law enforcement. Bogged down by reports and red tape, Luis figured a long time ago that the best way to get anything done was to do it yourself. Thus, he made connections to underworld figures. Though said figures were relatively small-time in the city of Ferndyllias, he was nonetheless able to act as a punishing force against those that went rogue or a means of empowering the Rusty Blades while diminishing other rival gangs. Timeline analysis would eventually see him rise to the rank of detective before dying in a shootout between the Rusty Blades and the police force after one botched operation.
Description ** **
The Herd are comparatively smaller than other members of the Woodfather Variant but still are able to stand at a solid seven and a half feet tall -- eight including their antlers. They have a leaner physique and have powerful legs that are able to carry them very quickly and very fast over great distances. With a seemingly inexhaustible supply of energy, the Herd's special properties comes from the fact that they are not a single physical body but up to a hundred, all sharing the same consciousness and all sharing the same physical appearance.
Transformation Medium ** **
The Herd transforms others with traditional anal intercourse. This process begins a heightened sense of stimulation within the victim as well as an increased metabolic and recovery rate. As a result, the victim with orgasm multiple times in rapid succession and producing roughly two to three gallons of semen per ejaculation. Each orgasm will produce a fully formed member of the Herd unique to the victim. It has been noted that the victim's 'soul' becomes fragmented with each ejaculation and the fragmented piece being placed into the Herd. As the victim's soul diminishes, so to does their body morph to match the Herd.
Countermeasures ** **
The Herd's sheer numbers are its greatest asset and weapon and though still well above the average human in speed, strength and durability, it is still much weaker than other members of the Woodfather Variants. The problem comes from the fact that destroying a single entity of the Herd will only cause the original to produce a replacement seconds later. Mass extermination of the Herd is ill-advised. Instead, using some form of incapacitation such as stasis fields or tranquilisers will neutralise the members of the Herd with a replacement being created. Destruction or capture of the original then becomes possible through conventional means.
Director's Notes ** **
I'll have to say that the Herd certainly makes for a near-immortal and endless army and has a lot of its uses. I'm curious how a single consciousness is capable of processing all that information at once and acting in such a coordinated manner. If anything, they would make for a very cheap workforce. Look into ways to enhance the Herd's physical qualities. Bringing it on par with say a Lumbered would make it very versatile. See if we can also manipulate its numbers. Perhaps if it had less members, the Herd would be stronger physically.
The Woodcaster

The first of the Woodcasters was Evan Krass. A devout religious figure in Ferndyllias, he was once a police officer that eventually gave up his badge to pursue a life of faith. A kind, understanding man, he sought forgiveness for his perceived sins as an officer while at the same time, offering forgiveness to those that sought it. Wise but with his perspective skewed towards his religion, he is nonetheless intelligent and utilised his psychology training from his days as an officer to guide his 'flock'. Timeline analysis indicates that had he not been converted by the Woodfather, he would have continued as a priest and lived up to the age of 96 before dying of heart complications.
Description ** **
The Woodcasters are the most directly connected to the Woodfather's spiritual network second only to the Ritualist. These stags show this connection through the glowing tattoos that surround their bodies. Leaner and standing at about seven feet tall, the Woodcasters are nimble, flexible and athletic. Their greatest asset comes from their ability to manipulate nature itself around them, preferring to warp and twist all forms of wood to their desires. They are fully capable of creating wood from around them as well.
Transformation Medium ** **
The Woodcaster's means of transformation is relatively mysterious though it has been deduced that they have some form of hypnotic presence that draws victims in through their words and movements. Those that listen or cast eyes upon the Woodcaster will be compelled to follow their lead. Close proximity to the Woodcaster will then allow the stag to use various roots or vines to enter the victim's body, connecting them to the Woodfather's spiritual network and then beginning a transformation from within. It is believed that the Woodcaster transforms the target's soul first and then once the soul becomes willing, it along with the Woodcaster reforges its body as needed. It should be noted that the Woodcaster's transformation process involves a rather lengthy ritual where the converts must be 'baptised' in a pool of corrupted seed before proceeding to be anally penetrated on an altar by their Woodcaster.
Countermeasures ** **
The Woodcaster's abilities are vast and their intelligence makes them incredibly dangerous. Reality filters and psionic training is recommended to avoid becoming enthralled. Their power ultimately stems from the spiritual network so severing them from it using psychic dampeners will ensure that they will be incapable of accessing their abilities. They are still fully capable of enthralling others without this connection so one cannot let their guard down when facing a Woodcaster even when it is severely weakened.
Director's Notes ** **
The Woodcaster provides a much needed 'mage' role in the Woodfather's arsenal and the development of a religion from its emergence adds a lot of questions to the Woodcaster itself. Can a Woodcaster exist without religion or does it have to be faith-based. Further, it's reliance on the spiritual network offers the same weaknesses as the Ritualist. Without it, it is nearly useless. If somehow, we can get the Woodcaster to utilise its own powers instead of relying on the network, then it might be more viable. Not that I'm opposed to the idea of religious worship but the fanaticism is a little disconcerting. I want quality troops not martyrs who would toss aside their lives in someone's name. Their methods of influence is very interesting though. Who would've thought a viable means of transformation is interpretive dance?
The Rainmaker

Randall Goodkind was the first ever Rainmaker. A devoted police officer and once that stayed loyal to the tenants of wearing the badge, Goodkind had little time for family life or relaxation due to the fact that he was almost fanatical in his belief of the law. Critical of everyone especially himself, he was nonetheless considered a model officer though his inflexibility when it comes to the law often had him looked over in terms of promotions. Had he not fallen under the Woodfather's influence, he would have remained a sergeant for the next three years before signing up for the military where his rigidity was appreciated. He would eventually become a military general and die at the age of 89 with great honours.
Description ** **
The Rainmakers are enormous, lumbering stags with monolithic genitals as their key feature. Heavily muscled to be able to carry their 'cannons' around, they are quite fast despite their size. Most pass the 9-feet mark with the total length of their penises being at least that much and as thick as their torsos. The question of how they are able to sustain such a device when erect is answered by the fact that they are permanently erect. This is offset by the fact that they are able to control the intensity and strength of their ejaculations with frightening precision to the point that they could 'snipe' a target from over fifty yards with ease. Interestingly, their testicular sacs are covered in a thicker layer of skin and fur that protects it from any injuries brought on from it dragging across the ground.
Transformation Medium
A Rainmaker's seed is incredibly potent. Even a single drop is enough to trigger a violent and explosive transformation into another Rainmaker. Due to the fact that these transformations often lead to an eruption of seed from the Rainmaker, it could conceivably create a chain reaction of Rainmaker transformations when in close proximity to others. Given this Variant's ability to shoot their seed across vast distances and even fire it straight upwards to create a rain effect, this gives the Rainmakers a wide variety of applications and a great range.
Countermeasures ** **
Physical contact with exposed flesh is required for the Rainmaker infection to set in. It will not pierce through standard Nexus-issue smart armour, flux shielding or even physical clothing. That said, Rainmakers are fully capable of ejecting their seed with enough force to shatter walls and this may become a problem against even the hardiest of _Conglomerate_troops. Rainmakers have a seemingly inexhaustible supply of their semen and therefore to counter them entirely would require getting up to them at close range and disabling them. In a war of attrition, a Rainmaker will win.
Director's Notes ** **
The first of the Woodfather's true artillery Variants and designed for outward combat as well. Whether or not this was developed as a reflection of Goodkind's soul or just by the needs of the herd remains to be determined. It's balance of speed, power and strength is incredible though I'm not too sure about its obvious weakness - its exposed genitals. With said genitals being almost as big as the Variant itself, one good shot at that cock and balls would effectively render the Rainmaker impotent. I think I would much prefer it if the Rainmaker actually got 'hard' and had a short set-up time before deploying its cannon to having it permanently erect. At least then it would have time to gauge whether or not its opponent was within range of fire instead of just wandering around, dick at full mast and being susceptible to sneak attacks.
