#2 of Rexville

Here's the second chapter. There's a slight sexual tension on it, but not that explicit. Also, this is a clean version. The explicit version will be posted separately like a deleted scene. Meaning, all adult content will be covered away from view as Not Safe For Work (NSFW). This is for those who don't have an account or prefer a NSFW-free version less explicit. You will eventually see a cleaned, full version without worries and not missing any skipped-like chapters like other stories I've read on this site that only the signed-in accounts can read the "good stuff". Enjoy.

Chapter 2: Walking Back with a New Friend

It sure is fun on the first day of the new semester and to celebrate it. Hunter thought a little and he could use some little fun for a while. It's no secret that Hunter is gay from his fellow friends, even Sol the leopard is. The two had been nothing but friends with benefits from the last two semesters but Sol always made the first move on Hunter every chance they got in the best time possible. How many? They lost counting...

While Sol doesn't seem like he wants to date Hunter as his boyfriend, Hunter had learned later he's nothing but a promiscuous guy looking for fun. They even hanged out at the local gay bar near the campus for some hook-ups or night stands. They also lost counting, but Hunter had few less than five in the past. But the many times were with Sol, though.

Not to mention that Hunter lost his virginity with him as to break the ice to coming out of the closet to his parents and siblings. The results: good but not as great; his mother and father were so proud of him to take the courage and bravery to tell them in today's tolerated society. But somebody in the family tree didn't took it as exciting news...

More like disappointment and embarrassment...

Hunter shakes the thought out of his mind. It's been almost a year since he came out after starting college last year. Arriving his friend's dorm building, Starfish Five (most of the dorm buildings in the campus have aquatic-themed names with a number), climbs to the third floor and fifth door on the right. Knocks the door and wait. The desire thoughts are making his dark brown-and-white tail wagging excitedly.

The door opens, and the leopard was in sight with a smirk, "What's up, Hunt?" Hunter was relieved that he was still fully clothed without his sport soccer jacket. Aside that he already took the shoes and socks off to relax in his dorm, he's just in his black t-shirt and gray jeans. But the shirt was kind of tight that showed every curve on the leopard's athletic torso and bulging biceps partially exposed by the short sleeves' edges. Hunter doesn't play any sports, but he spends three times a week at the gym facility at the 800 building of Physical Training and Sporting Center that's adjacent to the soccer and football fields and an Olympic-sized indoor swimming pool.

"Hey, Sol, can I come in?" Hunter calmly said.

"Come in, Hunt, it's been a while." Sol gestured him inside.

Hunter steps inside and sights around Sol's room. One unheard-of feature of the dorms is that every dormitory building in the campus have balconies with ocean views, highly uncommon. Nothing changed, same old, same old. And at the other bed, it's empty and luggage missing. "Is Jonah coming?" He's referring to Sol's roommate, a human male he had shared with last semester.

"Haven't seen him nor heard him." He took a can of lemon-flavored diet soda from the small refrigerator and picked up another one for Hunter. "I knew it he was off." He said.

"What's wrong?" Hunter opened his lemon diet soda can and take a sip and took a seat on the couch with Sol. "Did he drop out?"

"No, apparently he was arrested for drug trafficking every night." He revealed.

"What!? You're kidding..."

"It's true, the police came and asked me questions. Told 'em everything I know but I wasn't involved that much. I didn't know that's what he's been doing every night. Poor guy, he could have done something better for himself." The leopard lamented.

"Sorry to hear that, Sol. Are you, all right?"

The face resisted for a moment but Sol breaks into a sneering, smiling grin of laughter. "Nah, I'm fine! Jonah just graduated and drug-free!" Sol just laugh out loud and fooled him.

"Oh, my god, you little... I can't believe I felt for that!" Hunter cried. The leopard is still laughing.

"Good thing my dad is an actor and taught me these tricks!" Sol's father is a TV actor in a series he had started for his son's college found.

"Xavier's right, you're terrible!" Hunter teasingly said.

"Jeez, you're always on Xavier's side. Are you into him?" The leopard sneered.

"No, and he's straight as his beak. He once told me he dated an exchange student from Chile." He stated.

"Right, right. So, no boyfriend for you last summer?"

"Not one lasted a week. I think I should lay off dating grownups."

"You've been dating daddies?" He laughed.

"Just one, but the others were like over 25 and older."

"Best advice: find someone close to your age that can relate you."

"Like you?"

"Maybe, but not me. I meant someone younger than you. You have that big brother material."

"Hm, I guess you're right. I'll keep it in mind. But, Sol, why are you suggesting this one in particular?"

"I'm no expert, but dating a sweet boy could really warm your heart." Said Sol. "I think you're gonna enjoy it." And takes a gulp of his drink.

Hunter's relationship past is rather outrageous, whether or not had the wolf learned anything from these men he had dated. Some were too mature, too impulsive, too sex-craze, too this and too that. Not one guy out there could fit for Hunter's wellbeing. At least he had decided to drop these night stands but still going out at the gay bar for at least meeting someone without jumping onto the next base in bed. Hearing this advice from Sol might be a new path for Hunter to try at least something new. Maybe dating a twink wouldn't hurt.

Hunter's soda can have emptied and throw it at a small trash can. "Well," he stands up from the couch and stretch his arms and back and yawns, "I guess I gotta go. Thanks for the advice, Sol. I'll see you tomorrow." He proceeds to the door until a hand holds his wrist suddenly. Hunter turns back to the leopard with a blank, sharp stare in his golden-orange eyes. "What?"

Sol steps closer to the wolf, he's a few inches taller than Hunter. "You forgot what you came here for." He said. He gently pushed him on the wall with one hand on his chest.

Oh boy, here it comes. Hunter's cheeks softly redden. "I...don't think I'm forgetting..." Sol locks Hunter's way by grabbing both hands of his and him on the wall between his head. Sol relaxingly smiles and moves forward towards Hunter until both bodies are pressing together, feeling equally both of their developed pectorals. Their muzzles are inches away.

"Then let me remember for ya..." Sol whispered him in his ear. Every fur on Hunter's body stood up, shivering, cringing all over his spine. At the same time, it was arousing him every nerve to be stimulated in his body's surface, right to his lower and sensitive crotch under all that cloth. Both, too close to each other and feeling the heat, are rock-hard. Hunter could not believe these desires are so overwhelming, so tempting, so daring, so lustful and...

...and could not resist.

So much sound and so much fun-lust on the bed. Sol's room is scattered of clothes everywhere on the floor. The leopard sure has his college ways well handled. So much for Hunter's self defense skills, lust is his weakness.

Moans of exhaustion, fatigues, and a collapsed Hunter on Sol. The two breathed heavily close to their faces, smelling their heavy breath of their lemon soda. "Man, that was the best one I've ever had." Sol said and chuckled.

Hunter gently rolls on his back, lying side by side. Almost dizzy to a point of seeing stars.

"Hey, can I take a shower here, if that's okay?" Hunter spokes.

"Sure, be my guest." Already naked, he moves off the bed and steps inside the bathroom.

It was chilling and refreshing, Hunter finished and cleaned from sex odors before his parents could smell an unusual smell. He picks up his clothes and dressed. And looks at the time his wrist watch; its 4:30 of the afternoon. He should've be at home at five. "Sol, I gotta go. I'll see you..." He paused, and the leopard had already fallen asleep. Same as usual, thought Hunter.

Keanu decided to spend his remaining hours before going back home in the university's library. He thought it was a perfect place to be away from any unsuspecting intruders to go attacking some freshman. The library doesn't tolerate the loudmouths. From what Keanu could recall, he felt asleep while reading a book about history of California. He wanted to step head about some basic information or thought he could borrow the book with his book-card account. Even thought, this is the twenty first century and the digital age, he could at least read some information through a computer device. Waking up from his nap he checks the time: it's 4:45 of the afternoon. He should be at home at five, his father could be worried or upset. He picks his belongings he carried for the day and left the library building.

Keanu left home this morning via the streetcar tram transportation that dropped him here. He's confident enough that it will take him back home in no time. Walking through the massive campus, individuals are playing around at this time of the hour. As much this place is amazing, Keanu did not make plans to take a tour around the campus. He did what he had to do, and it seemed like he did not have the time to have some fun for himself.

It sure wasn't easy for Keanu to have a long-lasting friendship in his past childhood, middle school and high school were his tough times, he at least had a few one or two acquaintances around but most of them were just teachers, professors and the counselor than fellow classmates. He sometimes assumed that people think that he's a complete outcast or a freak introvert who only think about himself from anybody, a part of him says the opposite. He knows that's not the case. He just made the decision to study and focus less on social activities, aside from his families' gatherings. Walking the campus, Keanu sighted at two girls holding hands together out in public, one could assume they are just best friends, but Keanu can tell they are more than that. Keanu sighed, he wished he could be at least that open about himself, besides his father as he already knows. It's a pity that he didn't make at least one friend around the first day...

Leaving the campus, Hunter had promised to his parents to comeback home at five everyday with exceptions if he comes back later than they intended. Today was sure exciting, other than Sol and their intimate quickie reunion, reuniting back and spent whatever they could have their chances. Arriving at the streetcar station, the transporting vehicle did not arrive yet, so better sit back and wait. Had done this hundreds of times from previous semesters...

Hunter walks through the small station until he spotted a familiar figure sitting at one of benches, all alone. It was the arctic wolf-boy from history class. If he remembers; he must be Keanu. He smiles and wonders if he doesn't mind having some company.

"Hi, mind if I tag along?" Hunter said.

The young white wolf-boy looks at his left. He avoided to widen his eyes when realizing who it was. It was that tall older brown-and-white wolf-man from history class. He kind of has an intimidating look on his face with those fierce dark-green eyes but the grin on his muzzle says the opposite. It was a friendly smile of hello with a deep mature voice. No one has ever asked me to tag along, it was all Keanu thought after hearing that from him.

"Um, I... I-I guess..." The young wolf said.

Hunter sits next beside him and didn't leave a glance at him. "You're... Keanu, right? From history class?" Keanu nodded, still feeling shy and still not looking at him.

"Yeah..." He softly spoke, he should say something. "And... you must be..." He had heard his name before, but he never thought would actually be heard again, especially coming from his tongue.

"Hunter. Hunter Montana." The older wolf extended his right hand to him. His palm was dark-pink padded, quite of a color than Keanu's freshly pink palm pads. Keanu shyly shakes his hand; his grip was strong and warm while Hunter felt his hand very soft and cold. "How was your first day in college, Keanu?" Hunter asked.

"Not bad... I got lost a few times... Do you get lost sometimes?" Keanu said.

"Yeah, I have on my first day last year." Hunter chuckles. "Don't worry, you'll get to know more around the campus." After a short beat, "Did you..." Hunter wonders, "Did you went by yourself on the first day?"

"Yeah, I don't know anyone here... I... I just recently moved here this summer." Keanu stated.

"Oh, I see..." Hunter wanted to go further on the conversation, but the streetcar stopped by and the doors slide open. "Let's get onboard." The pair leaved the bench seat and walk to the tram vehicle. Together, they automatically seated side-by-side behind the big window. Local passengers stepped in and the door slide closed. The tram motions forward to the next destination. Keanu saw the small billboard sign on the ceiling indicating the next stop; changing from Rexville Campus Station to Horizon Avenue Station.

"So, all by yourself," Hunter continued, "so you didn't get the freshman treatment?"

"Lucky me, I guess. I... I just stayed at the library for most of the day." Keanu noticed how far the conversation was going; all casual, friendly, small talking. Other than his relatives, he's surprised that his social skills are kicking in like if it was normal for him despite him all shy and timid that Hunter could see, or is it because Hunter is an easy-going wolf.

After his statement, Hunter said, "That's a hiding spot that every freshman should take, but they always underestimate it." And chuckled. Keanu nodded.

"It never fails to me." He said. The tram stops at Horizon Avenue Station, opening the doors for the passengers to leave the vehicle. After several seconds the doors closed and the small billboard sign on the ceiling changed to Mariposa Square; its next stop.

"My stop is at Oasis Boulevard Station after this." Keanu stated. "What's your station?"

Hunter gave the him a bright smile to him, "Same here, I'm also stopping there."

Keanu flinched a little surprised. "R-Really? You... Do you live nearby?"

"I live at the Emerald Tower apartment which is right across the station." Hunter explained. "How about you?"

"I think we live across each other."

"Why so?"

"Emerald Tower is across where I live at the Starlight Plaza."

"Well, what a coincidence." Hunter smiled. "Looks like we're gonna see each other often."

"I...guess so..." Keanu shied at his statement. It's not that bad when you think about it. It's going to be now a routine from morning to late afternoon everyday at the station.

The tram stopped at Mariposa Square, and finally to Oasis Boulevard. This is one attractive street to go; almost everything is close by and easy to walk. The street has between private residences apartments and local business around the corner. With the streetcar adds the addition to reduce heavy traffic in rush hours as everyone considers it as a good mode of economic transportation conveniences. There is a bridge for the pedestrians so not to walk through the streets after leaving or heading for the station which is in the middle of the street. The two canids leaved the tram vehicle; standing on the low platform station. There's the stairs for the bridge that lands on both sides for each of their homes.

"This is my home." Keanu said, pointing to his apartment building. "Dad is waiting for me. I... I guess I'll see you tomorrow, Hunter." First time saying his name felt a little awkward.

"Yeah." Hunter replied. Then a thought came to mind. "Tell you what, why not hang out with me tomorrow, because to be honest, I feel bad for you going all alone, so don't go wandering around by yourself on the campus. I can show you around and meet some of my friends. Would you like that?"

Keanu was speechless. In one day he meets this wolf-man and now he's offering some company? "That... That sounds good, but... I have classes to attend tomorrow, I don't want to skip them."

"That's okay, when you're free, maybe at lunch time in the cafeteria, I'll meet you there." Hunter said. He saw Keanu checking a paper, must be his class schedules. "How about it?"

"Well... I only have two classes that morning, I have all day at noon and afternoon." Keanu announced.

"Great! So, see you tomorrow, Keanu, take care."

"T-Thanks...Hunter..." Keanu said. He proceeds towards his home. He felt kind of excited that offering. Is he for real? For him felt it was too rushed, but anything is possible to happen. Maybe he should start as his acquaintance, then friend, and then best friend, and then boy... Wait, what! Keanu blushed. Too far.

His home, Starlight Plaza, is a 15-story modern building for the average middle-class citizen. He entered the lobby where the doorman was and walks to the elevators to his respective floor. The elevator climbed to the eighth floor without interrupting stopovers of other residences and visitors. There was a single corridor on both sides between the elevator in the middle. Quickly facing the penultimate left side corridor door, he walks through it. Fetching for his keys, Keanu face palms. I left the damn keys! Keanu thought. He knocks the door, hoping his father is still at his home. Forgetting that there's a doorbell next to it. Ringing it and waited. The door opens; another arctic wolf-man was in front of Keanu.

"You forgot the house's keys, don't you, Keanu?" The older wolf-man's voice was deep and slightly raspy.

"Yes, Dad, I forgot." He embarrassedly sighed.

"It's okay, son. It happens." Kendall Winters said, he wasn't upset at him for a minor mishandling. "Good thing I already came here not too long ago." He said, it can really tell because he is still wearing his police uniform. "Next time, keep it in your backpack, okay?"

"I'll keep that in mind." Keanu said. He walks into the living room and rest on the couch, facing at the flat screen tv. He sighed exhaustedly.

"How was your first day?" His father joined in next to him.

In natural comparisons, Keanu is only five six while Kendall Winters is taller than his son by almost two feet of six eleven. Large body build for all his training in the force. The Winters moved to Rexville because Kendall was offered a great opportunity to join the Rexville Police Department, or RXPD. They moved from their small neighboring town of Little Lake to start anew in the big city of Costa Blanca County. Keanu, of course, didn't mind his father's decision to move. This also gave the opportunity for Keanu to stay close near the university, his father, and save some money from acquiring a dorm to stay. Things are simpler for the two.

Keanu responds his father's question, "Just fine. Classes and professors were great. Just the usual welcoming on every first days."

"Any new friends?"

"On the first day? I doubted at first." He stated. "Well... I've met a fellow classmate from history class when I was at the station. Turns out that he lives in the same street in here."

"Really? Does he live nearby?"

"Just across the street; the Emerald Tower."

"Are you going to see him again?" His father smirked.

"Looks like it, we're gonna meet up in the same station every morning." Keanu suddenly noticed his father's scowl. "Why are you smirking?"

"Nothing... Is he your type?" Kendall hearty laughs.

"Stop it, Dad! We'd just met..." Keanu flushed. "And what's for dinner?" And changes the subject.

"We're having salmon tonight. I was just kidding, son." The police officer said.

Keanu undresses in his room, grabs a towel and takes a shower. Unlike his father, Keanu has a normal light build body in his slim physique. He may not be a strong wolf, but his father will always remind him that every inner instinct is what makes them stronger on the inside what should matter. Keanu left the bathroom and back to his room, is clean, organized and ordered in every manner with discipline. He looks through his drawers for light clothing. What stands out in the drawers and the closet is that Keanu doesn't wear any white clothes because of his own obvious fur color. He doesn't want to look like a ghost. Even white underwear is out of the question. Keanu fetched a gray boxer, powder blue cotton shorts and a black cotton t-shirt.

Kendall retired his uniform and taken a bath, now wearing similarly what Keanu is wearing, black cotton shorts and gray t-shirt. Dinner is served on the four-seat dining table adjacent to the kitchen. Only two are occupied. Kendall had gotten over his bad habit of serving three dishes subconsciously eight years ago. Things for the two are fine and healthy, but Kendall knew that Keanu is still fresh, unaccustomed since moving here in Rexville City last summer. Going by himself on the street car to the university was Keanu's first step of self-sufficiency and independence. The father and son converse together and was mostly about Keanu's first day. Keanu saved from telling him about Hunter's offering for tomorrow to hang out around the campus. He felt it was too soon. Only a couple of days or weeks forward would make the whole thing a little realistic.

After dinner, Keanu went to watch television news whilst his father is cleaning the dishes. The news was talking about a wild police chase highway from Texas; the opening of a new amusement park in Rexville's coastal piers; and a new memorial monument in Mariposa Square Park for the upcoming anniversary of...

"Keanu, would you come here?" Kendall's voice came from the kitchen.

Keanu stands up and walks to the dining table, "What is it, Dad?" Kendall closed the fridge and brought a box on the table. "You brought cake from the police station?" Keanu thought that he brought a piece of cake from one of his colleagues' celebration at the station.

His father's mind was in disbelief, "Uh, no, I brought you a birthday cake." He opened the box and a rich moose chocolate rounded cake with Keanu's name on it and the number eighteen in white icing. "Happy birthday, son!"

Keanu's eyes were confused, "It's not my birthday, is it?" He looks at the calendar of September. Today's the September seventh; marked with Keanu's name on it. "W-What? Already!? I... I..."

"Don't worry, I didn't forget your birthday." Kendall said as he places a single candle and lights it. "Make a wish, son."

Kendall places the cake a little closer to Keanu across the table. The tiny fire on candle silently brights the cake. Keanu look at it...

My wish..., Keanu thought.

Keanu leaned closer, closed his eyes and blows the single candle; the fire dies out.

"What's your wish?" His father asked.

Silence was felt between the two; Kendall was waiting for his answer, but he has now something to say. "Keanu, um, before you say anything. Uh, I wish that you could be happy like old times, you know, before everything that had happened between us." He sighed. "I... I want you to find what you want in your life, you'll find someone, someone who will care for you, someone who'll love you." Keanu blushed when he said love.

"What are you hoping for, Dad?" He scoffed, "Not everything is gonna fall from the sky and coming to knock the front door."

"Now, now, don't say such things." Kendall said. "Anything is possible when you at least expect it. One day, I will soon see you smiling with cheers in your heart."

Keanu sighed, "Okay... Thanks, Dad." And softly said. "I wish I don't have to be all alone in my life all year-round."

"Was that your wish?"

Keanu nodded. "There are times that I'm scared of this world."

"Hey, as long we have each other, we're gonna be okay, hm?" He said as he rests his hand on Keanu's shoulder. "Here, chocolate will make your heart good." He said and gave him a slice of moose chocolate cake and ruffles his white-furred head between his pointed hears. "And there's more." Out of nowhere, Kendall hands him a small present box.

Keanu's tail swings with excitement, "You got me a present?" He said, his father nodded. Opening the gift and picks it up with his hand, "A new phone? What's wrong with the one I have?"

"Honestly, you're using a plain old phone." He stated. Keanu's first phone was made just for calls and texting, very little of games and other multi-uses. Keanu doesn't seem to pay attention in what's the latest highly advanced mobile phone to date, never did. But still, Keanu has a personal computer with close family relatives in contact and a online video game console. "Besides, I think I should have upgraded you in the first place." Kendall said.

"Thank you, Dad." Keanu said and hugs him.

After desert, and trying out his new phone and saving his phone numbers of his father and family relatives. Keanu went to his bedroom and relaxes for tomorrow. In his mind, he soon noticed the list of his contacts. From cousins to uncles and grandparents, he never had a "friend" phone number from anyone than his families. He wondered if Hunter could share his phone number... Um, never mind.

Rexville's skyline lights the night and civilians fall to sleep. Tomorrow is going to be a new day.
