Bradon looked at me, and said, "wait, Nick is looking at all my siblings?"
I responded still showing sympathy, "Well he'd helped contact some of of your siblings. If you need to call one of your brothers or sisters, I understand coming from a large family, your always close to an older brother or sister who helped raised you."
Suddenly, a voice came from the speaker phone on his desk. It said, "Bradon, I just received the bad news about your mother. I am starting your emergency time off, paperwork now."
He looked more annoyed and said under his breath, "great, I expected more from my boss, well I need to stop this before it gets to my permanent record."
I said, "well, I'll take that as my que to leave, have a good day Bradon." I was wondering, why he acted strange? Than again, it seemed that all his siblings acted strange. Then, it hit me, I could figure out, if anything happened it would be in his permanent record. The problem is, I would need a warrant to get his records, yet I could always ask Clawhauser for his police record. Though the ZPD wouldn't have all his records, it would be something.
When I arrived back at the precinct I asked Clawhauser to look up Bradon's record. Clawhauser typed the name in and said, "his record looks pretty clean, heck not even a speeding ticket. Though we do have record of having the ZPD taking him away from his mother, have a look." He than moved the screen so I could look at it.
Clawhauser was right, there were only two entries in his police files. The two entries both seemed interesting, the first one was the ZPD placing him into adaption, the next one was him running away the next month. Though this explained, the mother, I began to wonder how he survived.
I met back with Nick around lunch, where I took him to his favorite restaurant. I had a feeling that Nick, knew more than what he let one, and my idea is to simply butter him up. Nick ordered his favorite meal, while I ordered a salad, off their prey friendly section.
After the check came, I decided to shut the trap. While Nick was about to grab his wallet, I told him, "don't worry about it, I'll cover it. Besides, I was the one who wanted to go to this restaurant."
Nick answered, "no, I should cover the meal. It is my turn to cover the meal, besides my meal was a lot more expensive."
I responded, "I'll cover it, if you want to repay me just tell me what you know about Bradon."
Nick responded, "are you interested in dating Grey Foxes." I looked at Nick with anger, while looked at me with his smug self. Than Nick continued "Other than that you know I hate talking about him."
Though I was a little upset, I decided maybe some one else would know. So, answered, "than I'll pay for the lunch and you give me your mother's phone number."
Nick answered, "I should worry why you want my mom's number. But a free lunch, is worth it."
