Ice and Fire

Cyril stared off into the setting sun. The ice dragon sat on his rump, tail curled around his body similar to a cat, tip idly twitching. He was upon a balcony, the one adorning his room as lead Guardian. Blue scales glittered in the fading light, akin to the element he wielded. The purple plates running down his chest rose and fell with every breath he drew. Ice blue eyes misted over as he watched the sun. It reminded him of his dearly beloved Ignitus. The ice dragon swallowed the lump in his throat as he was close to breaking down again.

Steeling himself, Cyril turned from the sunset and tamped down his memories. His paw swiped at his wet eyes, shuffling his purple wings as he sighed and swallowed again. Getting hung up on the past right now was bad, he knew it. And yet, he couldn't run from it. Distracted with his new duties of leading not only the remaining two guardians, but the whole of Warfang and training two young dragons who defeated a great evil as well. He snorted lightly as he went back inside of the temple. From there, he began his nightly routine of checking on the others. His ear frills fluttered as he picked up sound down the hall in the visions area.

Upon entering the room, the quiet dragon took in the sight of his fellow guardians. Volteer, the master of electricity. The yellow hided dragon with a deep purple underside. He was laying beside a bulkier, bigger green hided, brown undersides dragon known as Terrador. He was the earth guardian. They were nuzzling and nipping at each other playfully, their words of comfort and love stabbing at Cyril's own broken heart. It took them a moment to notice his presence. The two were silent, their faces apologetic but Cyril just ignored it as he padded away down the corridor to continue his trek.

Before long, he heard muttering once more by a doorway. Peeking around it, he looked upon the two young dragons who had beaten Malefor. Spyro, the legendary purple dragon born once every ten generations. Yellow ran down his underbelly, the young drake a master of three of the four main elements. His counter part was Cynder, recent Terror of the Skies, slave of the dark master's ill will. Red underside matched black scales, the wielder of the fourth main element and many of the dark powers granted from the perversion at such a young age. They were quite the pair, along with the dragonfly Sparx, glowing yellow and making witty comments that could rival even Volteer's thesaurus speaking habits.

Along with being great friends from the ordeal they faced together, they had recently proclaimed themselves as a couple. It was cute and great they had found young love. Yet all it did was hurt Cyril further from his own soul-mate he found in his youth. He winced at the chuckling they did before he turned to head for his own room, trudging his way slower than before as he fought between the two halves of himself. The mighty guardian people needed and the soul-torn lover he truly was.

It was a quiet night out, aside from the natural insects and occasional hooting of the owls. So far in his mind trying to keep his nerve, he never took note of his surroundings until he was about to get into his bed. His mind didn't register it at first, being different than the one he was used to curling up in. Then it clicked. This wasn't his new room. Looking up and around, Cyril saw it for what it was. The double bed, the books and sculptures. Even the smell, though faint, was still there. This was the room of Ignitus. And his own when the two had been together.

In his struggle, he had inadvertently returned to the room he had with Ignitus. Seeing it all tore him open anew, tears slipping down his cheeks unbidden as he chocked on a sob. This was too much. With only the thought of get away in his head, Cyril rushed to the balcony window and spread his impressive wingspan. Hurling himself over the railing in his rush, his wings beat an uneasy tempo as he took flight through the chilly night air. Cold nights once a source of pleasure, now only a reminder of the coldness in his spirit.

There was no reasoning in his flight, just get as far away as possible. He kept beating his wings, feeling as more of his strength ebbed away from the void created by losing his life-mate. A void he'd carefully walled in but was now free. The ice dragon nearly fell from the sky, so great was the want to end it, but he recovered close to the tree tops before he crash landed in a small clearing, skidding along the ground and tearing it with his claws. His body shook from impact as well as the sobs he finally let out, hiccuping once or twice. He moved slowly, heavily towards where there was a river in the night forest, fireflies dotting the landscape. The roar of a waterfall sounded nearby, but it was dulled by the lack of senses Cyril now possessed. Collapsing at the edge of the small cliff, gazing at his blurry reflection before ripples appeared around the tears that fell. He let out a wail as he let his heart bleed as it had needed for the past couple of months. It wasn't long before he moved himself ever so slightly to curl up into a ball, needing to after contemplating trying to drown himself to be with Ignitus again. His ragged breathing slowly eased, tears coming to a stop as the ice dragon fell into a restless slumber of memories.

From the darkness of his sleep, something prodded at his shoulder. He shifted a bit, figuring it to be an illusion from a dream. Another, stronger push made him grumble. A realistic dream perhaps? Those were a thing, could kill someone even in the best of health he'd heard. The strongest shove so far moved him a foot and Cyril finally had had enough. Dream or not, this was ridiculous. He growled as he stood, blinking repeatedly to clear his eyes of sleep. He was about to retort to whatever was offending him and making him lose what little actual sleep he got when his jaw just hung open for a time, his eyes widening slightly. Before him was a reddish-orange hided dragon, a cream like color for his plated underbelly. Cyril's blue eyes took in the many details, from the jagged horns to the frills to what looked like fins running from the back of his head down to the leaf like tail spade. It couldn't be...

"Ig...Ignitus?"

The grace and strength of posture the stoic dragon before him gave way a little as a smile crinkled the aged muzzle like it had before, his eyes soft and glowing with happiness. "Hello...Cyril."

The ice drake was trembling. Before him stood the visage of his mate, his soul. The gentle voice held warmth. "How have you been, old friend?"

Cyril took a step back, then another as he shook his head, feeling tears welling in his eyes again after not so long. His back foot almost slipped on the ledge he had curled up next to, trapped now as the dragon approached him, strain appearing in his voice. "Is something the matter? Are you alright?"

"You'r-you'r-you're not real."

The Ignitus vision tilted his head, appearing confused. "What?"

"Ignitus died! You're not real. You're not here..." The ice drake's voice softened, going dead as finished. Understanding seemed to spread across the fire dragon's face. As the orange dragon approached, Cyril attempted to back away once more. Only, there was no land for him to step towards. Normally it wouldn't have been much of a big deal, but in his state of delirium he was unable to catch himself. With a look of shock once again on his face, the ice drake fell back into the river, sinking like a stone. Having been hyperventilating since he had seen Ignitus as well as his own mental disturbance left the blue dragon practically drowning, light headed and unable to breath. A swirl of bubbles indicated the other drake had entered the river, swimming to the fallen Cyril before pressing his snout against the ice dragon's. His muzzle already slightly agape from the ordeal, he felt the hot air rush from the other into his own lungs, clearing his mind of some of the fog. This was real, all too real. He saw the worried look on Ignitus's face as he wrapped his tail around his foreleg, tugging. The hint was obvious as Cyril flipped himself over in the water, ascending as he swam up. Breaking the surface, he gasped for air, coughing at the water that had managed to get into his body from his surprise. Paddling to the cliff face, he sunk his claws into the earth and began to scale it the best he could, nearly slipping form the wet earth before he heaved himself up over the edge. Panting and laying, he began to chuckle before he went into a full blown laugh.

A concerned voice spoke near him, sounding a bit out of breath. "Cyril, are you alright?"

Turning his head, he saw Ignitus. The real Ignitus. To be sure, he rolled back over and approached the laying drake. A grin appeared on his face as he tackled the other dragon, rolling with him a few times before pinning him to the ground and laying on the other's underside. A flush appeared on the fire drake's cheeks, barely distinguishable but there nonetheless. Cyril spoke as he nuzzled the dragon's cheek.

"You're real, aren't you?"

"Very."

A cheeky grin grew on the ice dragon's maw as he pressed his snout against the other's. "Why don't you prove it to me then?"

A chuckle from Ignitus, a grin on his own muzzle. "Gladly." With that, he moved and pressed his lips against Cyril's. It was soft and quick, Ignitus pulling back but the ice drake wasn't having that. He pushed hard against the other's muzzle, surprising the fire dragon enough to slip his tongue inside. He licked along the tongue and inside, enjoying the familiar taste as he rubbed his paws against the other's chest. A rumble started under his feet, accompanied by Ignitus's tongue dancing and rubbing along his. It was only a moment but to Cyril, it was hours that passed. He pulled off, his breathing ragged again as a line of saliva connected them before breaking and falling. So many memories, so many thoughts, so many questions. But the biggest was what passed by his lips.

"How?"

The fire drake's smile changed into a slight frown. "After I...died." Ignitus paused, shivering lightly under Cyril before he opened his maw again. "I...don't know where I was. It was always dark. But a voice spoke out to me. About how I wasn't done yet. How I was needed. I didn't understand until I woke up here." The orange dragon faced his mate, his face one of sadness. "I heard your wail. I followed the direction and found you. And the tears I saw..."

Cyril looked away at that point, somewhat ashamed of himself. A claw on his chin made him look at Ignitus again. "I don't want to ever hear or see you in such pain my love."

Once again, tears fell from the blue drake's eyes. But this time, they were ones of happiness as he nuzzled his other half, choking on a sob as he pressed against him. "Don't leave me again, please, Ignitus..."

"I won't."

Cyril pressed his nose against Ignitus's, his eyes fierce as he spoke again. "If you do, I'm following this time."

To say the fire dragon was stunned would be an understatement. The conviction was all too real and it made him shudder. His death had torn the blue dragon apart and now that he was here to mend it, Cyril would not be broken again like that. Ignitus could only nod lightly to the words before the nuzzles and licks assaulted his neck. The rumble returned before it changed to a gasp, Cyril groaning as he ground his lower half against the fire drake. Both flushed at the action, looking at each other and biting lips before looking away. The ice drake quickly moved off his mate, curling his tail about his legs as he sat down. The orange dragon moved beside his fellow guardian, mimicking the action as they shared a slightly awkward silence.

"It's been a while..."

Cyril had spoken out. Ignitus shifted about subconsciously as he spoke out. "It has...Too long..."

"Do you want to head home?"

Ignitus couldn't help the small smile, moving to circle his mate and rubbing scales with him. A shiver ran down the ice dragon's body. "I'd love to. And commemorate tonight, if you know what I mean." Cyril growled dominantly, hunger flashing through his eyes. The orange dragon shuddered at that look before he moved aside to allow the blue drake to stand. Getting behind Ignitus, Cyril ran after him before they both jumped into the air, wings beating hard to gain altitude. Running always helped get them into the sky faster than just straight wing strokes. This time, though, Cyril felt the cold and relished in it, breathing deeply for what felt like the first time in ages. He was able to enjoy himself again, with his mate flying in front of him.

Speaking of which, a thought crossed his mind as he rumbled a little. Beating his wings a bit faster, he nipped at his mate's tail fin, causing the fire dragon to look back and flick his tail. A devious grin adorned his muzzle as he dipped down before he moved up and tackled Ignitus into a slight dive, chest to chest. They gripped each other, having done this before like the dragons of old when they had done a thrill mating. Cyril ground against the orange drake, nipping and clawing before they had to break apart. The ice drake could feel his arousal, the slit protecting his tool swelling in need. Ancestors, he couldn't wait to get back to Warfang!

Ignitus flew behind Cyril the rest of the way, having nipped his tail once in payback to earlier. It was only as they approached the great wall of the dragon city that the blue dragon realized something. How were they going to break the news of Ignitus being alive? It was a strange thought, that slowed him. When Ignitus came up beside him, the fire drake looked at Cyril and spoke.

"What's wrong?"

"Just thinking about the whole you being dead and now back thing."

"Ah. The others."

Cyril just nodded.

"Do not worry about that tonight, my heart. Come the morrow, I will explain to them. Tonight is for you and me."

An unconvinced ice dragon nodded his head before taking off with his other half next to him. It wasn't long before the two spotted the balcony for entering and leaving dragons. And two such drakes were there, one laying on the ground as the other paced. As the two came in for landing, they could hear Volteer speaking.

"This isn't like him. It's ridiculous, absurd, ludicrous, prepost-"

"He's returning with someone." Terrador's deep rumble was nearly lost to the wind.

The lightning guardian turned, his muzzle opening to berate the blue drake before his eyes widened and jaw dropped when Ignitus alighted next to the ice dragon. Terrador came to stand, his head swaying lightly as if to shake it. The electric dragon spoke from his shock.

"I-Ig-Ignitus!"

"Hello, old friends."

"How?"

"That is a story for tomorrow. For tonight, I wish to retire to my room with my mate." With that, the fire guardian elected to brush by both of the slightly stunned dragons. They both looked back to Cyril when he started to follow before Volteer practically pounced on him.

"Cyril! Where have you been? Why did you leave? How is Ig-"

With irritation welling inside of the blue drake, he turned and growled out. "Volteer, I'm about to get laid after months, shut you're thrice-damned muzzle for once."

The left the yellow dragon shocked. Brushing past him, he was stopped by Terrador. A growl came to Cyril's throat as he was about to tell off the green drake when he spoke.

"You have a mateship to cement. Get to it."

A flush and a grin appeared on his muzzle as Cyril nodded, bounding after his lover. Tonight was all about him and Ignitus. Catching up to the patiently awaiting drake was simple as taking a few turns. The blue dragon watched the light sway of the fire guardian's tail and shake of the haunches. It was mesmerizing and arousing. The fire in his loins would not be held back much longer, though thankfully the room they needed was right ahead. The room was much the way it was left, when Cyril had left it earlier that evening. A few scattered things from his mad dash to escape but that was easily remedied later. For now though, Ignitus turned and pressed his lips against the ice drake, rumbles escaping both as their tongues danced in their muzzles.

The flood of lust Cyril had held back for the past while now broke the dam, spilling over in the form of his erection slipping from his slit already rigid and wanting. It throbbed with his heart as he tilted his head and pushed harder against the fire dragon's muzzle, his tongue going further and trailing over everything as he tasted Ignitus again. Earth Mother, that flavor was one of a kind and the blue drake loved it was his to sample. When Ignitus tried to pull away, Cyril followed for a bit before backing off a little, having stepped closer to his mate as saliva connected them for a moment. The red guardian grinned that charming, loving grin of his as he spoke.

"We should get comfortable."

Ignitus backed up more before turning towards the bed. He laid himself down upon it, his wings spread some to lay on his back properly. Cyril would have found it adorable if it wasn't for the two facts of he was way too far into need and the fire drake's own shaft erect between the hind legs. The ruby shaft twitched as he watched, a drop of pre leaking from the tip and sliding slowly over the ridges and the bulb that would be a knot. His gaze traveled lower to his mate's pink entrance, his mind already telling him it was the goal of the night. The quiet voice of Ignitus brought the ice dragon back from his thoughts.

"Preparation first Cyril."

A low growl came from the blue guardian. Ignitus was right, as always. His mind worked quickly before he smiled deviously, stalking over to his mate's side. He wound his way down the fire dragon's body, snout at the other's erection as his own bobbed in front of Ignitus. A rumble passed through the red drake before taking in Cyril's cock head, making said ice dragon shudder and moan out loudly. Just the tip and he was already needing more! With a savage delight of his own, he adjusted Ignitus's cock and took half of him in one go. The gasp he got and the spurt of precum was heavenly to the sex starved Cyril, swallowing the salty and hot pre. He let his tongue encircle the meat, slowly sucking as he brought his head up to the tip before sliding it back into his muzzle. A groan from the fire guardian before the blue dragon felt his own meat taken into wet warmth. A groan came from him, stimulating the cock before Ignitus did the same to Cyril and the vibration more than gave the red drake a spurt of pre.

Up and down the two worked on each other, slowly sinking more into their throats. Cyril could feel his mate's claws digging into his rump and that gave him an idea. Slipping one of his paws up to squeeze on the bulb, he let drool and pre leak over his claws. A thrust came from Ignitus from the teasing but Cyril returned the favor and felt the claws on his rear dig in deeper. The ice drake lowered his paw to the fire drake's entrance before he pushed a claw against it. The gasp that came from the penetration slowed the horny guardian until he felt the moan around his dick. Ancestors, it was hard not to fuck his mate's face until he blew. The feeling of a knot in his gut was already forming, as he slowly started to use his claw, pumping it gently as he continued to suckle on Ignitus's length. The groans and gasps sent electricity down Cyril's spine from the stimulation to his cock. It wasn't long before Ignitus pulled off of the ice dragon's ice blue length, gasping.

"C-Cyril, s-stop."

Cyril stopped on his motions, slurping up the shaft as he became aware of his surroundings again. The air was filled with steam, the magic exuding from their bodies mixing between freezing the air and melting the ice. It further added to the haze he felt, mimicked he was sure by the fire drake. The smell of sex didn't help any either as the blue dragon stepped off from his mate to glance at him. A heavy flush was on the other guardian's muzzle as he flipped himself around. With his rear facing Cyril and tail hiked, Ignitus spoke.

"Mount me."

The ice guardian needed no more prodding. Practically pouncing on his mate, his paws dug into the thick shoulders of the dragon beneath him as his arousal slid along Ignitus's rump. He kept shifting until his length hit a snag, a wide grin forming over his face as he felt the red drake tense slightly. Lightly, Cyril kneaded at his mate's body to relax him before pushing forward, spearing the fire dragon. The grunt from Ignitus, along with a tightening around his cock head, gave the ice guardian pause. After a few terse moments, Cyril resumed his slow trek into his friend's rear end. A rumble was felt beneath his paws as slowly he bottomed out to his bulb pressing against the red dragon's rim. He paused there, panting the only thing in the room for what felt like minutes. Finally, Ignitus tilted his head to look back at Cyril before he gave a command.

"Breed me."

A shudder ran through the blue drake, his cock throbbing as it spurt out more pre. With nothing left to be said, Cyril slowly pulled his dick out, catching the ridges on the red guardian's innards before he pushed back in from his tip to the bulb. A groan accompanied a growl as Ignitus spread his legs some and pushed back a bit into a thrust once the ice drake started up a slow rhythm. A growl emerged from the blue dragon as he put more power into his hips, driving his full length into his mate again and again. More growling and moaning, Ignitus pushing harder back as Cyril lightly dug his claws into the red scales. The walls would massage his length as he drove himself in and pulled out, seemingly at random intervals but one that worked the blue guardian up ever more.

Spreading his own legs a bit, the ice dragon sped up, using less of his length in the process. He kept adjusting himself, looking for the sweet spot in Ignitus he knew well. When a roar nearly shattered his ear drums, Cyril grinned widely, almost ferally. His angle found, he drove into it repeatedly, not getting as strong a reaction as the roar but the writhing drake beneath him told him the immense pleasure he was giving. His knot was growing ever bigger with every thrust, a desire to tie getting strong. Wet splats started to echo in the room, adding to the ever foggier abode of steam and musk. The blue drake nipped at his mate's neck, running his claws between the wings of the dragon under him as he pushed his knot against the rim with every pump. He felt the urge ever greater as he powered in even more, slowing down to get his knot in for his release. Sawing in and out he ground his bulb against Ignitus's entrance until with a powerful thrust, it popped inside.

The roar he got when he knotted was one of immense pleasure and slight pain. Cyril growled, feeling the walls tug at his length hard, milking him as he lightly tugged back and forth to get to his own release. With a roar of his own, the ice drake's knot flared even more as his cold seed splattered the insides of his hot mate. The two were tense until their orgasm tapered off, relaxing at that point. With a low rumble, Cyril pulled the shaking Ingitus off his feet to lay on their sides. It was slightly annoying to lay on a wing, the blue guardian knew, but the fire dragon would live as he hugged him close to his chest. Low content rumbles came from them both as Cyril nuzzled the back of Ignitus's neck.

"I love you Cyril."

"I love you too."

Slowly the two drifted to slumber, happier than they could ever be.
