I have not been in the mood to write anything lately, so here is a something short. nothing more. nothing less. if it makes no sense, then eh.

Anyway, you know the drill, don't like it, deal with it. like it, leave a comment and maybe an idea or two as I'm running on fumes.

** ~~~New beginning~~~ **

Machines hummed as they whirred into life, doctors scrambling around as they activated many more machines. Within all the activity were two pods, both containing small, broken children. Many hours had passed after the Crash, the wreckage had been removed and the pad repaired and the pilot... he had been disposed off and his family notified. The lights around the pods were dimmed slightly as the power was drained to power the machines as they finally hummed to life, bathing the room in a bright green light from the screens as the air cracked with power...G.O.D had come a long way since the incident on earth. The doctors looked at the pods then to each other, they knew the children would suffer for this, the boy in particular, having witnessed a death like that, land a ship with no knowledge of the controls. The only sound that filled the room was she soft hum of G.O.D and the ticking of a clock. In the light that filled the room, there was a certain kind of suspense, these men, these doctors could keep the children alive, or kill them painlessly. A knowing glance moved between them then to the door as they waited for their orders. Minutes passed and no man moved. Tick, Tick, Tick. The moments turned to minutes, the minutes to hours. The doctors became restless before one of them turned to the rest.

"I'm going to find out what the holdup is, I don't like working on children, I want to get this over with." The other doctors nodded as the man turned and moved to the door. He was about to open it but then it clanged and opened as someone activated it on the other side. There stood Damien, the medic who treated Becky earlier in the day. He walked past the doctors as they watched him, he walked to one of the pods, the one with the little girl.

He cleared his throat and looked at the doctors. "This little girl..." Damien said softly. "It's a go ahead, this girl is first. I know you do not like working on children, I will not judge you if you turn and leave this room without looking back." He turned to face the doctors, none of them moved an inch but their eyes showed they would stay and save these children. Damien nodded his head and looked at the pods. "These... these poor children..."Was all he said before he turned and faced the doctors. "Begin!" He shouted and they raced past him to Becky's pod.

The doctors picked it up and held it beside G.O.D as Damien typed something into the machine, his fingers dancing along the keyboard in a Ballet of movement. Words appeared on the screen and Damien hit enter. He watched as the machine processed the order before more words flashed on the screen. In the many upgrades that came to G.O.D one of them gave it its own intelligence. Many people were worried it would revolt about its use and the power it has. Once the machine got the upgrade though, it accepted the power it had, but it took no orders. On the screen, more words appeared and Damien read them a loud for the team to hear.

"Hello doctors, I know you want to get on and save these children, but I am curious. What will happen to them?" Damien read and the Team looked at each other, shocked. Not once had the machine asked about the patients. Damien was about to reply when more words flashed onto the screen, once more he read them aloud_. "You created me for Peace, now you are using me for war, I do not want to be used like this."_ Damien said and then shifted, worried. _"How dare you use me in this way?" _Damien then typed into the machine while reading for his team to hear.

"These children will not be fighting; they will be flying ships for the planet. They will drop troops but will not be harmed, I swear to you." The machine paused for a few seconds before replying, this Damien didn't read out. "I will make these children... stronger, and faster than the rest, these children will survive." Damien nodded and looked at the team of doctors he held the pod still. "G.O.D agrees, put her on the table." The men nodded as Damien hit a button and a small table slid out from the machine. Damien got up and looked over at Becky. The child looked like she jumped into a pool of Razors and barbed wire. Her dress was torn, his soft skin shredded in places. He shook his head and imagined his own daughter in Becky's place and had to choke back a sob before he placed his hand on top of the pod. "Good luck." He said before they all stood back and Damien hit a button on the Keyboard. The lights flashed out completely as all the power was drained from them. The screen on G.O.D started to glow brighter before there was a loud crack as a beam of light shoot towards the child from the top of the machine. The beam hit the pod and it started to rise up off the table, but by now the beam had engulfed the machine in an eerie dark green hue as the beam continued to lift the Pod and child.

The doctors and medic were shocked, this had never happened before, the machine normally just rebuilt the tissue and altered the DNA strands to make it stronger. Many of the doctors had stepped back and where racing towards the door, but Damien held fast and his eyes never let the pod as it started to tilt and stood straight. AS the ray hit the pod there was a cracking noise before the pod seemed to explode and Damien looked away, expecting bits of it to hit him, but the pain never came so he turned back to face it. Watching, his jaw dropped as he saw it being disintegrated. Damien turned to the machine and hit commands of cancellation into the keyboard, but the order was refused. Damien turned to Becky again and screamed out in horror as the beam was starting to eat away at her. Her clothes had been destroyed but Damien took no notice of this, his eyes never left her face which showed the most agony any human should endure.

He turned to the machine and typed, hitting the keys harder than needed.

What are you doing!? He typed, you said she would survive! You're killing her! I will have you destroyed for this! There was a pause in which he heard Becky groan in pain. He turned to face her and saw her arm bleeding outwards into the ray which seemed to eat at the blood. Becky's eyes opened and she started to scream out in agony, crying for Sparrow. The screen flickered before G.O.Ds reply appeared.

She will survive... was all it said before the scream stopped and Damien turned around and paled. Becky's flesh was gone, all her muscle, blood... everything. He turned to the machine and typed slowly and carefully: What have you done..? She is gone... she is dead...

But before he could finish the machine said again.

_Upgrading: 100%

EVE: Installed._

HUD: installed

APPLE: installing

Please wait...

Damien read this slowly before shaking his head and staring. Eve? He thought, that's impossible... that's... and the HUD? This... this can't be right! Looking back at the ray which seemed to hold in place still, Damien was shocked as to what he saw next. In front of this eyes Becky started to reappear, first as rippled light before slowly becoming a solid being. Damien looked at the screen and typed. What's going on? I saw her vanish! This is not possible!

The machine replied instantly without a seconds pause

I am god, nothing is impossible.

Damien turned to Becky who was floating in the ray, naked and no longer broken; her legs twitched and so did her arms... He took a look again and saw that she had another arm, but one that was not or flesh and bone, but of steel. But as the medic looked again, he saw the steel become covered in flesh. The beam flickered as it started to lose power, its job complete before the ray shut off and Becky began to fall, so Damien raced over and caught the limp body of the child, and was shocked to feel her breathing in his arms. She had survived and was whole again.

"Becky?" spoke Damien softly, so soft that he thought he had never spoke the word, only thought it. She stirred in his arms, but didn't wake up so he placed Becky in an empty pod and pulled his medical coat off and placed it on top of her before closing the pod, but not activating the stasis field. Becky was alive. He had to tell Ann, but what about Sparrow? The machine would need to cool down before being used again. The lights started to light up as the power returned to them. Slowly they became brighter and the Medic looked at G.O.D before walking back over and staring at the screen.

I told you so... appeared on the screen before the machine turned off.

Ann sat in the waiting room, her face pale, her body numb with shock and sorrow as she had been for hours after signing Sparrow and Becky over, after the crash. She sat there for as long as she can remember. All time had stopped moving she felt like she had sat there for years, just waiting. She looked up as she heard a door open. And there stood Becky, the coat around her while the medic stood beside her, looking tired. Ann got up slowly, not trusting her mind, expecting it to be a trick.

"B..-...Becky..?" Becky just lifted her head then looked down again. Ann looked at the medic who took a deep breath.

"She has just endured the most pain imaginable, right now her body is in shock and her mind.. her mind is trying to catch up. It's a common side effect of the operation. " The medic said before he picked Becky up, being careful. "I will tell you now, she is not the same as she was yesterday. Her body is... new." He didn't know how to explain. Stepping up to Ann he held Becky out, holding her like a baby. Ann reached up to take her but took her hands back. "S-sparrow..?" she asked and Damien bit his lip.

"The machine needs to cool down. He is staying in Stasis for now. You are free to see him once Becky is placed in your sleeping quarters and dressed and fed." Ann nodded and took Becky, clutching her to her chest tightly and shaking as she spoke softly into Becky's ear. Becky reached round and took hold of Ann's coat and gripped it, just holding on as she lay in Ann's arms.

"There was a... side effect, however." Ann looked up, suddenly with a shocked expression. The rain was falling harder as the night had set in. "it's nothing bad, but... her arm..-"Ann was shocked; she never noticed Becky had two arms again."-When she was in the machine, her blood spilled into the machine and it burned her hair... blood red. It's nothing. But her DNA has been changed and the only way to hide the red would be to bleach and dye it." Ann shrugged and continue to clutch Becky as if she was a life vest and Ann had just slipped off a platform to the planet bellow. "Her arm is steel, so G.O.D upgraded her body to cope with it. She.. she has a built in EVE system." Ann's heart raced and she glared at the medic as he noticed why. Saying that was a form of heresy. He turned and beckoned her to follow as he left by the door he came in with. Ann followed and Becky rubbed her face into her chest as she drifted off to sleep. Damien entered the operating room and paused; inside of the pod was the body of Sparrow, bloody still from the crash. He turned and pulled a curtain across; shutting it away from Ann's view just as she entered and she silently thanked him with a nod.

"Look," he begun. "G.O.D doesn't want to be used for War anymore so he put upgrades in place for Becky. I can't tell you what they all are, but she has a built in HUD, it will show her heart rate, her teams, her items, her weapons. I'm not sure how, this is life, not a video game." He added to Ann's sour look. He had to be joking. "It was programmed into her arm, and according to my research, her body is near enough unbreakable, she can run faster than a speeding bullet, she is smarter than any machine we can make. What I'm saying, she is the perfect super human." He added before smiling softly and placing a hand on Becky's head.

"Oh...silly-child." Ann softly muttered before she nearly fell backwards. The medic had put an arm around her and held her steady. "I'm sorry, I hadn't slept last night, I was baking...Sparrows cake..." She said before yawning and rubbing her eyes on Becky's head and she hugged her.

The medic nodded and smiled. "Come on, you need sleep." He said before walking Ann from the room, she turned just as the door closed and saw the top of the pod that held Sparrow. They walked through the medical center before heading towards the Barracks again. Ann had an office there that she and Becky could sleep in. As they walked, Becky stirred and uttered a single word: sparrow. Damien walked Ann to her office and opened the door for her. He opened another and Ann stepped through them and into a small bedroom. The bedroom was small and held a king sized bed and a washroom. Nothing fancy. Becky was placed inside of the bed before Ann turned and shook Damien's hand before he left and she climbed into bed and fell to sleep nearly instantly.

As she slept, all that repeated in her head was the crash, finding her children, the crash, finding her children, the crash. This went over and over in her head before she was woken by someone nudging her.

Ann woke and sat up quickly as someone grabbed her and hugged her tightly, almost too tightly. Ann felt her breath squeezed from her lungs. She looked down and saw Becky holding her, her face streaked with tears.

"B-Becky...!" Ann said and Becky let go of her. Ann picked up Becky and pulled her onto her lap.

"W-what happened?" Becky sobbed. "W-W-We were just going into the c-cockpit! Then the door closed on the pilot.. I covered my ears and Sparrow covered my eyes!" She continued to Sob, she was reliving the crash. Ann rocked slightly as she let the girl cry, she couldn't do anything to help her. "S-Sparrow tied the ribbon around my eyes and got into the pilots chair. I heard him say the Mayday!" Becky looked up at Ann and saw tears going down her face as well. "What happened..?"

Ann held Becky as she thought about it then said. "All I saw was the cabin fall from the sky, it had a asteroid inside of it. I thought you both died." Ann said, barely able to control her voice, but she had to stay strong for Becky. "Then I looked up and saw the ship coming down. It was spinning and rolling and burning.. I didn't know what was going on. I just watched as the spin slowly stopped, then the rolling. Then the wing tore off and it crashed into the platform." Becky nodded slowly as se looked down.

"I remember... Sparrow pulled me into the seat with him. I thought we were going to die... I didn't mind, I was with Sparrow. So we sat there and the ship started to roll again, so I said happy birthday to sparrow. Then I remember a loud crash. My arm started to hurt a lot too. The ship rolled on the platform and stuff. The pain stopped and my arm went numb but everywhere else hurt." Becky thought for a moment then looked at her hands. "Sparrow... Where is Sparrow?! Is he okay!?" Becky shouted before getting up. Ann looked at the distressed girl and thought her reply through as Becky frantically looked around as if she and Sparrow were playing hide and seek.

"Becky..."Ann said softly. "That crash nearly killed you and Sparrow. You lost an arm and every bone in your body was broken..." said Ann only to get a confused look from Becky.

"I'm fine! See! No broken bones! And I have both my arms!" she said, having her hands at Ann to prove it. But Ann ignored her and carried on.

"Sparrow is in Stasis right now. He broke nearly every bone in his body, but his body must have been put under a lot of stress from the crash." Ann said soothingly, not the Becky, but to Herself. She looked at Becky who was looking at her hands before she broke into tears and sobbed into her hands. "I'm sorry Becky! It's entirely my fault! I organised the trip! The pilot died because of me! The crash was because of me! Everything is because of me! I'm the worst mother ever!" Ann cried.

Becky looked at Ann and was about to say something when there was a knock at the door. Ann wiped her eyes and said for the person at the door to come in. Ann flicked on a lame beside the bed and saw Becky wince and cover her eyes. The door opened and in strolled the marshal.

"Ann." The marshal said and beckoned for her to follow him. Ann nodded and picked up Becky and was about to follow him when she noticed he shook his head. Ann placed Becky down on the bed and walked out the door, wishing for nothing more than to just to be able to hold Becky. Ann closed the door quietly and stepped beside the marshal. Ann was wearing her uniform still and as was the marshal. The marshal walked off down the hallway and Ann followed.

Becky sat on the edge of the bed and listened for what seemed forever for the footsteps from Ann and the marshal to vanish before she got up and nearly fell over. She wanted to go outside.

She stood up again and stood still. She eagerly listened to the rain which pattered on the roof above as the shield had been lowered for the tarmac to be washed by the never ending rain. Becky had left the planet before and was amazed at the sky she saw on Planet Guaner with her parent.

On that trip she has first saw the sun and loved the feel of the heat on her skin, unlike the sky on Ame7 that had to many clouds for the sun to break through and shine. On that trip, Becky and her family were on a trip to sell wares from Ame7 to make money, but after landing hell broke loose.

Becky shook her head as she felt her eyes prickle with tears, she took a deep breath and lifted her leg to get off the bed before she lost balance and fell face first into the floor bellow with a loud thud.

She sat up and grinned before racing for the door and stopping suddenly as he hand closed around the handle. Something was wrong but she couldn't put her finger on it, so she just shrugged and opened the door and raced out the hallway door and into the rain. She raced into the rain and closed her eyes as she felt the bite of the cold rain on her skin and the wind as it picked at her hair. She stopped running and opened her eyes as she felt a bit too cold. Becky looked down and saw she was in only her underwear which made her blush. Shrugging and turning around, Becky made her way back to the bedroom when she stopped as a dark patch of tarmac caught her eye. Turning she walked towards it and saw Scorch marks on the tar as she realised it was where she and Sparrow landed...well, it was a landing of some sorts. As she looked, a bolt of lightning shot across the sky and in the split second of light, Becky saw the corpse of Sparrow laying mangled in the burned spot, covered in blood and staring at her with unseeing eyes. Becky Screamed only for the crash of thunder to steal the sound. She looked again as another bolt lit the runway and saw nothing but burned tar. Turning she raced back towards the bedroom as fast as she could run only to slide to a stop outside the door as she heard voiced inside the bedroom.

Pressing her ear to the door she heard the voice of the Marshal.

"You get a few more days before they are taken and trained Ann... I will have you messaged daily about their progress. I can't forbid you from helping them train, but it's not recommended." Becky listened as her ear pressed so hard into the door she was worried it would open.

Ann was silent for a few moment before replying, her voice strong.

"I lost my husband when you last said he was going to be fine, I'm not losing my children in the same fashion. I herby join up into the flight core and you shall not deny that." Becky shifted her wait and the floor creaked under her and she stood deathly still as the conversation inside the room stopped. Becky slowly opened the door and stepped inside, stopping suddenly as she took in the scene inside. Ann was standing, nose to nose with the marshal who seemed to have a bleeding noise and a fat lip while Ann looked as furious as ever.

"what's... going on?" Becky asked politely while Ann looked ready to tear the Marshals face off.

As no one moved or replied an awkward few minutes passed before the Marshal turned and left and Ann glared at Becky.

"Why the hell are you in your underwear and soaking wet?!" She snapped, the last of her rage leaving her with the final words. Ann looked flustered but mainly upset and Becky walked over to her and gave her a hug which seemed to knock Ann from some sort of stupor. "Come on, let's get to bed got a hard day in the morning...for more than just us." Ann muttered as she looked at the watch she wore. 00:00. Midnight.

They both lay down (Becky having dried off before-hand.) and fell to sleep, Ann after Becky with a rather troubled dream about what she saw.

Becky was woken early in the morning by Ann who was rocking her and saying her name.

"Becky it's time to wake up. You...you got training today." Becky woke up with a Groan before snapping upright.

"Okay, I'm up...Wait...what?!" She said as she eyed up Ann who was already showered, dressed and looking smart as ever. "Training?!" Ann nodded and pointed to a outfit hanging on the door. That wasn't there last night. Becky thought. As she got up and walked over to it.

"You need to get showered and dressed you have training with a few other initiates." She said, nodding slightly. "You will be by far the youngest. Many would be around 20. But you... no older than 12." Ann shook her head and unhooked the jump suit and passed it to Becky who examined it before squealing in delight.

"It has my name on it!" she said as if it was breaking news. Becky pulled the jumpsuit on over her underwear and marvelled at the snug fit of it. Ann looked down at Becky and smiled softly.

"Welcome... to the Ame7 army."
