Just the intro of a story I've been working on for awhile now, maybe a couple months. It's 97 pages long, one of the few stories I've typed instead of handwritten.

Looking for feedback, questions, concerns, comments. Anything really, seeing if this gets anywhere. I'll post more if there's an interest, or feel free to reach out to me.

I sat at a booth with my girlfriend, watching people parade on the dance floor. I was rather buzzed, as was my girlfriend from the last few drinks we had. We sat not too far from the bar, of course, inciting us to drink, but we just came here to have a good time. She said that she hadn't been to a club in awhile, but I've never been to one before tonight. She suggested it would be a nice time together and a nice night out, and being a weekday, it wasn't too busy tonight.

I kept my arm around her, being protective and imagining some drunk asshole would try coming onto her. But I must have seen too many movies, because no one did.

It was soon to be midnight, but the life of the party was still thriving. We had stayed a few hour and she had some friends that were around, but I personally didn't really know anyone besides her. Since it was getting so late, and I foolishly drank too much knowing that I have work in the morning, I despised already the hangover I knew I'd endure.

"Hey babe," I had to focus to not slur my speech, "We should get going."

"Huh?" she looked at her phone, "Oh shit, fuck, yea let's- yea let's go," she stuttered drunkenly.

We slid out of the booth and I almost collapsed, having stood too fast and my sense of balance being impaired. She waved goodbye out to her friends and we held onto each other for support as we walked out of the club.
