Two unsuspecting thieves break an ancient covenant while trying to steal a priceless treasure, unleashing an ancient force upon the world...Thirty years after the Ghostbusters pioneered paranormal investigations and eliminations as a business model, franchise departments have spread across the United States. One such franchise operates in Portland Oregon.

GHOSTBUSTERS: REGENESIS Chapter 26 (Dragon's Breath) Written by Leo_Todrius Commissioned by Draegon1993

The Cascade Art Museum was almost as much a work of art as the artifacts contained within, from its marble edifice to the glass atrium. There was a flow, a serene beauty to the building. The installations and exhibits were meticulously cared for and presented in a way pleasing to the eye and educational at the same time. Even at night with all the lights turned off, there was a charm to it, though part of that came from nature's splendor.

The full moon was bright above the atrium, turning the otherwise black sky a beautiful shade of blue. It was almost as bright it blotted out the stars, though a few twinkled high above. It was a romantic sort of night, though romantic was not what the pair of thieves had been hoping for as they lowered themselves down from the hole in the glass ceiling. The lines were tight and they descended steadily. The metal foil around the hole in the glass glinted as it completed the circuit, keeping the security system at bay. The motion detectors had already been blocked with some careful vandalism during the day. The first thief's boots touched down and he unclipped himself, waiting for his partner to land shortly after.

"I told you it was a piece of cake." The first thief smirked.

"And I told you I don't like heights, Kent..." The second replied.

"It'll all be worth it when we're sipping cool drinks at some tropical island." The first thief smirked, "And our golden ticket is courtesy of the golden dragon." he said, turning to face the prize exhibit, the Golden Dragon of Dinéault. The statue was almost fifteen feet long and at least ten tall, a western dragon with its four powerful legs, wings tucked at its side, and a prominent muzzle filled with sharp fangs. The tail was wrapped around the body of the beast, but its pose wasn't one of attack, but rather defense. Nestled between the two front paws were three huge violet opal stones in the shape of eggs, catching and refracting the moonlight.

"They're beautiful... It's like looking into the eyes of God. Can't you see it?" the second thief murmured, moving up toward the dais.

"Don't go all crazy on me, Franklin, that's my job. We got a job to do man." Kent replied. Kent nodded and opened up his pack, getting out the tools. It was up to Franklin to get in there and use his metallurgical prowess. The thief took the tools and crouched down, the saw whirring as it got up to speed and he started cutting in carefully around the opal eggs, breaking the bond of the metal. His saw started heating up so much that there was a tang of burning in the air, but before the motor seized there was a pop, then the sound of stone clattering against stone.

"Okay, we just gotta secure the eggs and then we'll-" Kent was cut off as a loud chirp started near the ceiling. A flash came from one of the fire alarms, then another and another. The smoke from cutting the metal had triggered it. Franklin winced.

"I knew I never should have trusted you! You're gonna get me locked up for life!" Franklin said, stuffing the eggs into his backpack before he ran for the cable. The mechanical ascender was slid into place and he started pulling himself up. His lack of practice was evident, his movements jerky and random. Kent bit his lower lip as he followed after, getting up onto the line. The fire department showing up wouldn't be as bad as the police, but it was still unwelcome attention.

Franklin was trying not to hyperventilate as he climbed, watching the hole in the ceiling come closer ever so slowly. In the back of his mind he thought he heard sirens and he gave one more violent tug of his muscles. The motion shifted his weight, and the eggs in his backpack slid against each other. One edged out of the backpack and fell. Kent tried to reach out and catch it, but it careened down to the floor below. As it hit the tile, it shattered into a fine purple dust that spread out in every direction.

"Fuck, there goes half my retirement..." Kent murmured while Franklin still scrambled up the rope. Neither thief noticed that the opal dust was starting to circle, blown around by an unseen wind, spiraling around. The golden dragon statue shuddered before there was a groaning sound from the base. The cement foundation started to strain and crack before the golden paws lifted up. The long golden tail let out a creaking metal sound as it uncurled from the body, smashing through several pillars. The sound was enough to get Franklin to look down, watching as the dragon woke from its ancient slumber. The Dragon slowly raised its head, looking at the thieves before it opened its maw and let out a thunderous roar, a roar that drowned out the screams of the humans as well as the approaching sirens of the fire trucks.

Pale blue LED street lights flashed across the windshield of the Ecto, the car heading down the street. Seth was driving, giving Nico the freedom to slink down in the passenger seat. They'd spent days trying to find Dakota, but there was no sign of him. They had been getting emergency calls from other states. Numerous franchises and teams were suffering losses and the workload was climbing. It felt like the world was off its axis.

"I can't believe they changed their name again, and picked a different liaison too. I can't keep track." Seth murmured, referring to their meeting with the government special responders.

"It's a normal process in bureaucracy." Gray replied, trying to type on his tablet despite the bumps in the road.

"They aren't some business; it isn't an issue of branding." Eli commented from behind Seth. Gray shrugged.

"It is still a measure of optics. Cost analysis and all of that... There's a fine line to walk. I think the reason they let the franchises stay open was that it was cheaper to subsidize our costs than to run a program themselves, but they need a backup just in case." Gray said.

"In case we all go missing?" Nico asked, breaking his silence. The others hesitated on how to respond to that. Nico crossed his arms, "I know my brother's in an alright place even if I never get to see him anymore, but Dakota? There are no leads... How many detectives have we talked to? And it's the same across the country. Colorado, Arizona, Seattle. It's like we're being picked off."

"We haven't... seen any patterns yet. It's a pretty dangerous job." Gray said, but he knew it was a feeble attempt. Nico sat up in his chair.

"I mean, we can't even ask Rerun to roll it back, to go back and save him, it's like he was targeted too." Nico said with more agitation. While Seth had been invested in the conversation, his eyes had been drawn to the horizon. The velvet night sky had been disrupted by a greenish gold aurora, light dancing across the heavens, rippling and shifting. He was about to ask the others if they saw it when he heard a chirping coming from his arm and his heart sank. The other Ghostbusters stopped talking as Gray leaned up and lifted the cloth flap covering a device strapped around Seth's arm.

"God I hate that thing..." Seth murmured.

"I know it's degrading, but it's the only thing that got you off of house arrest. We have to keep track of your PKE signal in case your condition worsens." Gray said, checking the pattern.

"And hey, it's gotta be better than staying in that tank of slime for three days to get back to your old self." Eli said hopefully. Seth pulled the Ecto over so Gray could safely fiddle, but as he watched the horizon the light show faded away again.

"So what's the verdict?" Seth asked softly. Gray shook his head.

"Nothing serious, just a faint sympathetic resonance." Gray replied.

"Good, I don't want to go on any more walkabouts to bug princes." Seth said, "Am I good to drive?" he asked. Gray nodded.

"Yeah, everything's back to baseline." he replied. Seth nodded curtly before he signaled and merged back onto the road, resuming their drive. Gray settled back into his seat, exhaling slowly. He knew it wasn't easy for Seth to deal with what was going on, but he was worried that the longer it went on, the more bitter and desperate he was getting. He wasn't sure how it would affect the team, let alone their relationship. The trip to New York had rendered a few innovations and ideas, but nothing to outright fix the condition. Gray would have to work even harder.

The television in the motel room was on mute, but the images it showed were more than enough information. Police were crawling over the museum, examining the crime scene and the reporters were everywhere. It was being called the theft of the decade. Only one hole in the ceiling, but an entire dragon statue was missing. The doors hadn't been touched, only a small area around the display disturbed. One detective guessed that the statue had been cut into pieces, but the two men in the room knew different. Franklin was sitting on the end of the bed, rocking back and forth gently.

"We gotta do something, we gotta call someone." he murmured. Kent turned from where he had been dismantling the tools they used.

"Who are we going to call? The Ghostbusters? We go to them, we get booked for the crime. They aren't gonna protect us, we woke up that thing." Kent replied.

"We can't just do nothin', you saw the way it came at us! It wanted to eat us, or worse." Franklin whimpered.

"Listen, even if we pissed it off, it's gotta be after the eggs, right? So we sell them and get on a jet and put half a world behind us. It'll be the buyer's problem. We won't have to worry anymore about it, okay?" Kent said before he went back into the bathroom and started to brush his teeth. Franklin groaned and laid back on the bed.

"Won't have to worry, what does he know?" Franklin muttered, though he sat back bolt upright as the bed shook, "Did you hear that?"

"All I heard was a lunatic coming apart at the seams." Kent replied, spitting out his toothpaste. As he straightened back up, though, something felt off. He froze in place, feeling the hair on the back of his neck stand up on end until he realized that his eyes weren't the only ones reflected in the mirror. Through the frosted glass on the bathroom wall, there was a distorted, gleaming green eye. Kent turned to run, but the glass shattered and a leathery golden hand reached in and grabbed him. Kent screamed as he was pulled out through the window of the motel.

The Dragon let out a deep roar before it pushed off, the wings flapping down powerfully. Every car in the parking lot sounded off with car alarms as several windows in the motel shattered, but the dragon was already in flight. Kent screamed and screamed until his voice was hoarse, but the city had grown distant below him. He saw the Ross Island bridge, the Naito parkway, roads and buildings and then trees. Somewhere below was the zoo, he was sure, and then vast stretches of parklands.

As the dragon descended, Kent could smell that tang of dawn, of dew drop on grass, and then he hit and rolled and rolled. He coughed and sputtered, feeling the dirt and twigs dig into his flesh until he came to a rough stop. He coughed and sputtered, barely able to move, rolling over onto his stomach. That was when he felt the claw slide down his spine, not cutting the skin, but slicing through his clothing. The fabric fell apart, exposing his bare flesh to the morning air.

"Fuuuck!" Kent screamed out, sweat beading on his brow, his short black stubble not nearly enough to keep him warm as the sky turned from black to brown to green and gold, the sun climbing up slowly. The Dragon stood above its prey, looking far less metallic with each passing second. The gold colors had faded to earthy colors of fall, ranging from yellow and brown to new growth green tingeing the edges.

The dragon let out a hot breath, steaming into the morning air as it continued slicing down, cutting through the leather belt like it was nothing. Kent tried to crawl away, but the claw flipped around the other way, pressing against his neck. The human whimpered and went limp. The dragon slithered up slowly, its tail sweeping away fall leaves from the grassy hill as its large leathery sheath between its legs began to open, allowing a pointed, thick, ridged purple shaft to start emerging, glistening with pre.

"Please... Please, don't do this, I can get you back your eggs. Just don't kill me, don't-" Kent froze as he felt something hot, slick and thick slosh across his ass. His eyes widened sharply at that, realizing he wasn't going to be eaten... he was going to be used for something far different. He clawed at the ground, trying to get away. The Dragon snarled at that and unleashed a jet of fire that scorched a semicircle in front of the human. Kent stopped where he was, even as he felt the pointed tip start probing between his cheeks.

Maybe this was what people meant when they talked about instant karma... he stole, and now he was going to get fucked by the dragon he robbed. He knew the beast was huge, he likely wasn't going to survive the encounter. He gasped as the head of the dragon's shaft found his muscled ring and began pushing forward. There was another gush of the spectral precum, though to Kent's surprise, his ass started to tingle and relax, getting looser.

Despite his best interest, Kent licked his lips a bit. Maybe there was a chance, a tiny chance, that he would survive. He gasped sharply as the head of the draconic member pushed through his sphincter and entered his ass, and then slowly inch after inch started to slide up into him. The dragon was slow, pinning the human in place, but it was determined. Its rear hips slid forward, plunging more and more of its cock into its prey.

Kent moaned softly despite himself, his cock getting hard pinned against the wet, cold, hard ground. His muscles tensed, but to his surprise he pushed back against the cock intruding on him. The dragon let out a snort and then thrust harder, sliding Kent forward a bit. Kent pushed back, though when the dragon withdrew its shaft he was nearly dragged along the ground before the beast thrust again.

"Yes!" Kent shouted, blushing furiously as he said it, but he meant it. The dragon was inside him, so much inside him. He swallowed his concerns and looked down at his stomach as the dragon thrust. Sure enough, his belly distended around the huge shaft. It didn't make any biological sense, he should have been shredded to pieces, but he didn't care. It didn't hurt. If anything, it felt great. The thrill seeker in Kent grinned wider and he started pushing back against the dragon's advances.

The fire turned from red to blue, getting hotter around them. It took a lot of Kent's strength to hold onto the ground so he wasn't shoved around like some kind of fuck doll, but he rode that cock as best he could. His nipples were hard, his cock was aching, his muscles were throbbing. Drool leaked from his mouth and he hissed and howled, throwing his head back. He could tell the dragon was enjoying it too. The beast's eyes were squeezed shut, his head swaying from side to side as he thrust away.

Kent's moans climbed in timbre, crying out louder and louder until he screamed and his puny human load of cum shot out across the grass beneath him. He panted and moaned, going limp in sexual exhaustion even though the dragon was still fucking him. Kent couldn't believe how profound the experience was, but he also was surprised that when he went limp, he could feel so much more.

Every vein on the dragon's shaft, every shift of muscle tension, he could feel. That's why when he felt the dragon's tempo change, he was bracing himself for the orgasm of a lifetime. Kent summoned what strength he had left to dig into the ground and hang on, feeling the dragon's cock start to bloat. The dragon's tempo changed. His thrusts slowed, his grinding increased. The dragon snorted as he tried to get as deep as he could, huffing and puffing. The large dragon talons pierced deep into the earth, anchoring him and then Kent felt what should have been the biggest orgasm of any creature on Earth - but it was moving so slowly.

Kent's eyes shut as he focused on the cock lodged in his body, picturing what was going on. He could feel the bulge start at the base of the dragon's cock, edging forward, wriggling and shifting, moving inch by inch. There were muscles clearly at work, but it was like the cum was plugged up by something, blocked... But then Kent's eyes opened wide in shock and realization. He was being fucked by a male dragon... that had been guarding its young.

"Oh shit..." He whispered before he groaned suddenly, feeling the head of the dragon's cock widen out, growing fat and blunt like an equine member. The dragon hissed and snorted, smoke escaping from its nostrils. Kent felt his colon spread wide as something huge passed into it - ovoid, large, heavy. It slipped out of the dragon's distended urethra with a deluge of cum, letting the egg settle deep inside Kent's stomach.

Having completed its mission, the dragon pulled back, its long shaft sliding out inch after inch until a distinguished pop sound came, leaving Kent full of an egg, but empty of a mate. The dragon slowly rose to all four legs, stretching out its neck and tail before it pushed off. The wing clap was like thunder, shaking the trees around as the dragon pushed off into the sky, sailing away. Kent looked up, unable to move, watching the dragon go. He slowly looked back down at his rotund, bloated, round stomach. It seemed, one way or another, he had wound up with a dragon's egg after all.

The firehouse was nearly empty with the Ghostbusters and the Ecto gone. Only Rerun remained, floating through the dining room on the way to the kitchen. A soft, melodic, almost hypnotic tune drifted from his lips and spread through the upper floor like a sonic flood. It had been a traumatizing experience to have his abilities snapped off in an instant by the grey eyed boy, or whatever he really was... but it had come with a small consolation, his voice.

Rerun was still timid about using it around the others, but when they were on mission he tested and tried it out, getting more comfortable with it. He even answered the phone when they were away and that was rather gratifying. Rerun stopped next to the fridge and opened it up, pulling out some fresh pressed apple cider, pouring himself a glass before he floated back over to the dining room table. As he sipped his juice, he flipped through Zumdinger's guide, looking at the entry for time wyrms.

In every picture they had four wings shaped like the hands of a clock. As far back as Rerun could remember, he had three. The grey eyed boy had inferred that he had been missing the ability to travel forward in time as well as speak. If the two were related, if whatever had deprived him of his last wing had taken his voice, then maybe he couldn't speak forward in time.

That idea alone was exciting, merely by the principle that if he ever could restore his last wing he could move forward in time AND speak openly. Rerun paused, his hand sliding around his torso, fingers brushing the stone rune that had been slid around the root of his wings. Gray and Nico had tried to cut through it, to dispel it, to slide it off. Whatever it was, it wouldn't budge. He'd been locked in place, trapped in the current moment. Whatever that strange grey eyed spirit had been, it clearly didn't want him interfering... and whatever he was doing, it couldn't be good.

The click of the handcuffs was louder than Franklin expected, the metal sliding into place around his wrists. He looked up at the officers that had accepted his surrender. He still had tiny shards of glass in his hair.

"Now you promised... You said you'd keep me safe." Franklin replied. Officer Wong smirked, looking to his partner and then back.

"Yeah, we'll keep you safe from ghosts and goblins alright." He replied, moving the prisoner toward the booking area. Franklin's heart was starting to sink a bit, but he still hadn't heard of any ghosts doing anything at a police station in a couple years. Maybe there was some sort of safety in numbers. As Wong took Franklin in, his partner got pulled aside by the captain.

"Has there been any word from SID about the evidence?" The elder man asked, his suit showing ink smudges around the cuffs from all the paperwork he had to do.

"We found the tools used in the job, dismantled, but there wasn't any sign of pieces of the statue or the eggs." The officer reported.

"Without catching them red handed, this case is a lot thinner. If this creep hadn't surrendered, we would be looking at an entirely different situation." The captain replied.

"Well, it sounds like he's already going for the insanity plea. He said the statue came alive and went after his friend." The officer smirked. The captain's eyebrow arched a bit at that.

"I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss, you weren't there when the Portlandia statue waded into Willamette River and stuck her trident through a fishing boat." The captain said before he turned and went back to his office. The officer hesitated before catching up to his partner.

Bare feet sank into the gravel and dirt path with an uncomfortable, audible crunch. Each step was cold and mildly painful, but Kent had to get back to civilization. He'd managed to tie together enough scraps of his clothing to cover his most intimate region, but he still was on display for all the world to see. Worse than that, his stomach was distended as if he was nine months pregnant. He could feel the dragon egg resting in his stomach, sloshing faintly as he walked... and each time it moved, it sent a shiver of pleasure through his spine and down into his cock.

Kent blushed sharply. He should have been revolted or disturbed by what had happened, but while he had been terrified in the moment, he felt rather turned on. A ghost dragon had mated with him... and now he was carrying its young. He saw the irony, having stolen the eggs, but now he had that precious jewel inside him. He reached up and rested his hand on his stomach, appreciating the size and girth, how round it was... and then he felt something inside shift. The egg had cracked.

The Thief stumbled a bit, panting hard as the egg cracked and started to open inside of him, but it was not a corporeal dragon that was escaping. A rush of ectoplasm filled him, and then an intense tingling. Kent kept trying to walk down the path, but each step he took was different than the last. His toes throbbed as his toenails thickened and grew longer, curving down into sharp, thick points. The flesh of his toes began to spread over the surface of the nails, locking the newly formed claws into place.

A moan escaped Kent's lips, coming to a stop, reaching a hand out to lean against a tree for support. He panted, wriggling his toes as they stretched out longer, the knuckles getting bulbous and animalistic. The hand bracing against the tree changed as well, his fingernails digging into the bark, catching, stretching longer and thicker as they hardened into claws. His hand started to spread out wider, longer, thicker. New cords of muscle spread through it, giving it strength. Kent called out, his hand digging into the tree sharply.

As the thief growled and moaned, his teeth extended, sharpening into thick, wicked needle like fangs. Purple light spilled out from the center of his irises, filling his eyes. He closed them and groaned, stumbling forward. His draconic feet took easy purchase and he stopped in the middle of the track. Each breath of air filled his lungs with more oxygen. His chest expanded slowly, his ribs pushing away from each other. There was pain, but an odd sense of pride as well.

Just beneath the surface of the skin, there were muffled but audible pops, snaps, and groans. Kent's clawed hands closed and opened slowly, flexing as he braced himself. His back became rigid, bones segmenting and growing. Small lumps formed, pushing outward, forming small spade shaped spikes. The skin stretched, growing taut, trying to accommodate but failing. Tiny pinpricks of blood leaked out before dark earthy brown spikes emerged from his back.

"Fuck... Come to me... Bring it..." Kent moaned, a strange, mercurial grin spreading across his lips. The cold air slipped over his fangs as his tongue emerged. Even the writhing, wet organ began to contort, cramp, strain and then split on the tip into two points. The man fell forward, landing on all fours, his claws digging deep. His back arched as the flesh on either side of his spine started to thicken, toughening up, wriggling and shifting. He let out another call as his tailbone began to lift up from his pelvis. It surged outward, new bones and ligaments forming one after the other.

A scream of delight left Kent's lips as the tail filled out. It was the most amazing feeling of release he'd ever had, more than farting or burping, maybe even more than an orgasm. The tail continued to stretch, growing wider at the base. His ass cheeks were pushed apart as a result, but his sphincter was pulsating with stronger muscles than ever before. Kent groaned sharper, blood rushing to his manhood. He could feel it getting harder and harder by the moment.

The simple knot that had held the scraps of fabric together could not compensate for the change in mass. The clothing fell to the ground and a long, slightly curved, rather purple member sprung free, flicking purple precum across the gravel below. Kent let out a low hiss as the cold air hit his iron hot rod... and then another as it throbbed even larger. His claws dug deeper into the ground and he held on for dear life as his member stretched out another inch, then another and then even more.

The head of the changing member was pushing forward so fast that the skin around Kent's length was as tight as leather, but rather than straining the skin, it seemed to get stronger and tougher to compensate, shifting from a reddish violet to a distinctly purple shade. Tiny spines formed around the bottom edge of his head as the tip came to a point, and thick ridges began to spread down the underside an inch apart from each other like fanned veins.

Drool leaked from the fangs filling the human's mouth, but soon the saliva came in more copious waves. The fangs were pushing apart from each other, growing larger by the second. All those teeth needed more room to grow, and Kent's lower jaw popped and throbbed as it began to stretch out. The under bite was unbearable for a moment until Kent felt his sinuses open up like never before. His upper lip pushed out to meet the lower, and as both jaws expanded, his nose was stretched and flattened and warped until it was no more, melding into the muzzle itself. His nostrils became slits and hot air blasted out of them.

A tiny rain of delicate tinkling fell across Kent's shoulders and back as his hair fell out, leaving his scalp exposed to the elements. The spikes that had dominated his spine had already crested over his head, becoming more subtle as they reached the bridge of his muzzle. Kent's mass had already expanded well beyond his human size. His spine had added on inches in moments, his tail swinging behind him as bony spikes emerged from the tip in wicked curves.

The purple pre that had rained down onto the gravel beneath Kent had started to sizzle, steam coming off of it. The vapor wrapped around Kent and his flesh began to darken, color draining away from it. He looked cold at first, but that paleness became an earthy gray like slate, like basalt. His skin got tougher, becoming leathery and then even stronger. The gray color spread in waves, seeping up his legs, across his belly, wrapping around his ribs and seeping along his spine. From there it coated his tail and wrapped around his head.

Kent's heart was beating as one with the Earth; the air was no longer cold to his skin. His entire human life was starting to fade. His biological imperative had been met. The egg had hatched, it had birthed a new dragon. He lifted his head skyward and let out a roar that no doubt scared the elephants in the nearby zoo. As the call resonated through his changed skull, four last bursts of pressure erupted through his head as proud, tall horns sloped back from behind his brows. A new dragon had been born.

Franklin was lying on his cot, staring up at the cinderblock ceiling. Maybe his mother had gotten up on the wrong side of the hospital bed when he had been born. It was the only thing that explained his lifelong bad luck. Nothing seemed to work out no matter how hard he tried. Maybe he was going to prison for breaking and entering and grand theft, but anything had to be better than being ripped out of a window like Kent was. He had to be safe in there. He had to...

The criminal's faith was not warranted though. A fine gold dust began filtering in from the HVAC vent in the ceiling, dropping to the ground before it swirled and built up into claws, paws, legs and a body. The dragon's head craned down due to the low ceiling, but it let out a rumbling growl as it formed. Franklin sat bolt upright on his cot.

"HELP! Somebody help! It's here! You gotta get me out of here!" Franklin shouted, springing up to his feet and backing away from the dragon, looking at the door to the cell block. The dragon followed his gaze to the door, identifying it as the point where more humans could interfere. The dragon took in a deep breath before an icy blast shot out, pulling the moisture out of the air. A thick, rough shell of ice built up over the door and the frame, thickening to at least two inches thick.

Franklin's pleas fell silent at that. The dragon reached out, wrapping his claws around the metal before it pulled. The cell door groaned for only a second before it relented, snapping off. The dragon surged into the cell, taking up almost all of the space. Franklin was knocked onto his back on the cot and then the cot collapsed, falling to the ground. Franklin tried to scream out, but his cries were muffled as a thick, pointed purple tip pushed between his lips.

There were voices outside the room, shouts and calls. There was even a distant alarm, but no one could get through the door with the ice blocking it, no one could make it to Franklin. He knew he was all alone. The dragon pushed in deeper, sliding with eerie ease, its shaft defying any of Franklin's attempts to understand what was going on. He felt the hot length piston back and forth in his throat, his gag reflex completely gone. It felt like the beast was probing into his innermost depths, his very soul, and all he could do was take it.

As much as the shame and doubt and fear filled Franklin, there was an odd pleasure to being taken like that. His childhood memories of being last picked, forgotten, abandoned, they all seemed to numb. He was needed for something, he was desired. Franklin felt even more regret at having disturbed the dragon, but maybe this was how he would make up for it? His jaw felt so tired, stretched, worn out, but even in its diminished state, he felt a strange bulge forming. He tried to draw in breath but couldn't as the cock expanded, growing wider almost as if it was passing something through... and then he felt it.

It hit his throat like a wide piece of rubber, blocking him off and yet not choking him. His body reacted naturally, undulating, trying to use peristalsis to bring the object lower. Franklin's throat was stretched wide as the egg descended down, down, down. The dragon let out a growl and thrust gently, using its shaft to nudge the edge deeper until with a strange supernatural pop, it settled down into Franklin's stomach. As it came to its resting space, it began to expand and harden, stretching outward. Franklin's prisoner outfit grew snug and then rode up as his stomach rounded, protecting its precious cargo.

The dragon let out one last half-satisfied huff of breath before it exploded into a cloud of vapor and swirled back up the vent it had come from. Franklin gasped for breath, panting hard, gazing up at the ceiling. Slowly, ever so slowly, his hands moved to his stomach, resting on the bulge, a prideful smile crossing his exhausted lips. He shivered a bit, the ice block making the room very cold... but inside he felt amazingly warm.

A maelstrom of red and blue flashing lights flooded the street, washing over the street and buildings, glinting off of the phones of the pedestrians filming the event. In the chaos, it took a moment for one more set of lights to get noticed. The Ecto turned onto the street, slowing as it moved among the cop cars. The white Ford Explorer covered with yellow and black caution striping and the crisp fire engine red no ghost emblem soon managed turn a few heads, the pedestrians filming them as well.

"Get out of the way! We're driving here!" Nico shouted out of the passenger side. Seth pulled the vehicle over, the others getting out as the police officers moved up.

"Usually when we cross the line, it's you guys coming to us." Seth commented with a bit of humor, hoping to cheer Nico up. Nico was looking at the building, not catching the attempt at levity. The police chief gave a weary sigh and shook his head.

"Well, I feel like we should have come to you sooner, believe me... Two of my teams reported to the Cascade museum earlier, couldn't figure out how a whole statue got taken through a tiny hole in the ceiling. One of the perps shows up, turns himself in and then got sealed behind a magic ice wall. We've tried blow torches, minor explosives, we can't get the thing to budge. We were figuring maybe you have more experience in these matters."

"What was the statue that disappeared?" Gray asked, bringing out his smart phone. The police chief waved one of the file clerks over and asked him before turning back to the busters.

"It was the golden dragon of of Dinau... Dineaw..." The chief attempted.

"Dinéault" The file clerk finished. Gray kept working for a moment before his eyebrows tightened. He took a soft breath.

"The golden dragon of Dinéault was rumored to be an attempt by Merlin to bring peace to a blighted region. The legends say the French hamlet was plagued by dragons, and when they were hunted to near extinction, they started taking the townsfolk to 'replenish their supply'. Merlin created a vessel capable of holding their essence and channeling it to another plane where they could continue to live out their lives." Grayson read.

"You just googled that there?" The police chief murmured.

"Merlin built a ghost trap?" Seth asked. A group of scattered screams spread through the crowd as people started pointing to the roof. Purple light was building, coalescing and hardening into an earthy colored dragon. It looked around before letting out a mighty roar. Out in the night, a response came, another roar. Nico ran back to the ecto and grabbed binoculars, swiveling and trying to isolate the call. He bit his lip.

"It looks like this guy is replenishing his kind alright, there's another one coming this way." Nico said.

"And they're doing it in my precinct?!" The chief grunted.

"Eli, get in there, see if a slime stream can cut through that ice. If we adjust the condenser, we may be able to raise the temperature." Gray said. Seth took the phone from Gray and started reading down further through the article.

"The statue had eggs, Opal. If that's what the thief stole, he might have started this whole thing. What if they broke one of the vessels, broke the promise?" Seth asked.

"You're right, a vengeance vendetta would fit perfectly." Gray nodded.

"Opal can be made synthetically now, it's just hydrated silica... There's a place downtown that makes it." Seth said. Gray looked back at the phone and scrolled down, wincing a bit.

"There aren't any details on the structure of the opals in the statue, but if they can get the structure to resemble our containment grid-" Gray was interrupted.

"No, it has to elevate them to another plane, it can't just trap the energy." Nico replied, "It'll have to be like the naga crystal." he added, feeling a weight in the pit of his stomach thinking about how long his brother had been gone.

"We've got that on file. I'll take it over there." Seth said, turning to the police chief, "Sir, I'm going to need to commandeer a vehicle." he said with a grin. The police chief chuckled at that, turning to the crowd.

"Simmons, go with him! Make sure whoever he needs works as fast as possible." the chief ordered. The officer nodded and moved over, letting Seth into one of the cop cars. It wasn't long before it peeled off. Eli, meanwhile, had moved over to the Ecto to pull on his slime tank and strap in, getting ready to go in. Gray grabbed his giga-meter and Eli strapped on his trap pack with proton pistol just in case. Eli looked at Grayson.

"Are you glad he went, with the dragon making more of its kind?" Eli murmured. Gray gave a sad smile.

"I think that's why Seth jumped on that mission; he knew it was a risk." Gray replied. Eli nodded at that and started moving up the steps, Gray and Nico following. They pushed through the doors and disappeared inside.

The lights in the cell were flickering off and on, only a dull emergency light frozen beneath ice casting out a steady illumination of any kind. Somewhere behind the wall there was a gurgling, like pudding coming out of a hose. It was barely audible to Franklin. It tickled at the edge of his senses like a fly buzzing around. He was too busy staring at his body, watching his flesh ripple and change. His rotund stomach had been the first to shift.

At first it looked dry, desolate, like his skin was losing all moisture as it turned ashen gray, but then finite folds formed and a gully ran down the center. Branching plates of toughened hide coated the round stomach, and even Franklin's pectorals felt boxier, more square. He groaned, his toes curling and uncurling. A shiver ran up his spine when his toenails scraped along the brick wall, revealing just how much they had changed as well, sharpening and honing into claws.

His whole life he had been afraid... Too afraid to live, to learn, to step out into the waking world. Maybe he had been afraid of his previous life because he was meant for something more. He moaned, panting hard, feeling his heart race as his shaft began to stretch out longer and thicker, dripping pearlescent pre from the tip. Franklin practically started salivating looking at it... The dragon was gone, but he could still feel his mouth pried wide around that mighty member.

Franklin reached out and grabbed onto his shaft, starting to massage and finesse the skin. He could feel it fill with blood, bloating wider and longer with every passing second. He tugged and pulled on his cock, trying to make it longer, watching it rise up over his distended belly.

With each attention and ministration on the meat, it got tougher, darker, harder. The skin turned ashen gray, then obsidian black. The plump head surged outward into a point, and Franklin gasped as tough ridges began running down around his shaft. Tiny oval sections rounded outward, hardening almost like pearls. Franklin let out a hissing moan of joy, writhing on the floor, panting. Hot steam escaped his lips, but it wasn't the only source. The ice was starting to get milky near the door, turning pink as slime slipped up through micro-fissures in the ice. The ice started to glow, reacting to the positive charge of the slime. The anger of the ice was weakened and it began to soften, turning into slush.

The changing thief didn't care what was going on. He leaned forward, trying to reach his draconic member. As he struggled and strained, his neck craned forward, his body tried to meet his objective. His neck lengthened, filling out with more bones. His mouth throbbed and ached as it pushed forward from his face, his teeth getting sharper with each passing moment. His lips parted, a forked tongue emerging, stretching out like a giraffe's. It tickled the tip of the shaft until all at once Franklin gave it one more shot and plunged his own cock into his new muzzle. As he sucked and licked himself, his mouth surged out down around the shaft. His nose blunted and warped, flattening out into the muzzle. His ears sank into his skull, his hair sloughed off and his ass cheeks parted as a fat, wide tail slunk down between his legs.

Wet, sloppy, slurping sounds came as the changing dragon fed from himself. The lewd sounds only turned him on more until he came. A hot rush of purple ectoplasm spread across his tongue and he guzzled it down just as his back exploded with flesh and motion, wings unfurling. The door shuddered, impacted by something heavy, but still the dragon grew. Another impact, then another, and finally the remaining ice splintered. Gray and Nico fell into the room, grunting. Eli's eyes went wide, seeing the entire space dominated by a single creature.

"Guys, we're too late!" Eli said. Gray and Nico scrambled up just as the graphite colored dragon let out a deep roar and pushed out, squeezing through the door. Desks went sliding, file cabinets falling over as the dragon crossed the precinct, moving out of the front door. It reared up on its hind legs upon coming face to face with the cops. It let out a threatening roar, but to its surprise, there was another roar from up above. The dragon turned, seeing two more of its kind perched on the roof. The dragon turned, sinking claws into the cement walls, climbing up. The spiked tail swung, hitting a mailbox, sending it hurtling down along the sidewalk in tumbling arcs. Before long, all three were sitting on the roof, looking out at the masses below.

The lights from all the cop cars were still flashing on all the windows, spilling into the building through the broken front doors. The Ghostbusters sat at the apex of the interior damage, hearing the scuffling on the roof and shouts of police.

"Okay, that's not good. The police are already on edge... Their whole precinct has been taken over. It's a miracle they haven't opened fire already." Eli murmured.

"I think they know that shooting these things will only make it worse." Grayson replied.

"Seth isn't back yet... We need to buy time. I think the only reason they came here was to get their last child." Nico said. Eli started to look very pale.

"What are you saying? Why do I have a feeling it doesn't involve slime tethers?" Eli murmured. Nico reached out and patted Eli on the shoulder.

"It'll be alright. I have faith. We've seen this sort of thing work a dozen times already. We just need to keep them here until Seth gets back." Nico said.

"Alright, but if you end up in the decon tank because of this, I'm only feeding you healthy, organic food while you're in there." Eli said. Nico grimaced but nodded.

"If you must. Now, I better do what I can." Nico said, standing up and turning to face the door.

The old hatch to the roof opened, creaking a bit as Nico climbed up. He'd discarded his jumpsuit, instead wearing the black t-shirt and a spare pair of shorts from the back of the Ecto. He got up on top, standing up. The cool air whipped through his black hair, his dark eyes surveying the scene before him. The largest dragon was sitting on top of the HVAC unit for the police station, the two smaller dragons around his feet.

Nico felt strange walking into danger... It almost felt cold, calculated. He'd been turned into a satyr, tentacle monster, a partial bigfoot and even a truck. They had been an unstoppable force crashing through nearly immovable objects and coming out victorious almost every time... almost.

As the lone young man started walking toward the dragons, he felt his heart picking up speed. It wasn't because of the danger, no, it was from all the losses. Dakota, Lucas, Seth, Rerun. It felt like they were being chipped away, eroded. Nico's eyes settled on the largest dragon. They didn't have anything big enough to keep the dragons in place if they wanted to, and if it really was going to try and make more of its kind, then they couldn't let it escape. They'd never be able to catch up.

Nico intentionally slid his foot along the roof and the three dragons turned, looking at the intruder. The earth tone dragon slipped off the HVAC, nearly turning into purple mist before it stopped in front of Nico. The dragon lowered its head, taking a deep breath. Nico's hair fell across his face as the air was inhaled, and then blasted back. Nico didn't shudder, looking into the purple eyes before him.

"I think I have it... These two tried to steal your babies' vessels, and they broke one? They cut off your connection to your last child?" Nico asked. A deep reverberating growl escaped from the dragon's muzzle. Nico was undaunted, "Then use me, let me carry your last child." he called out. The dragon's wings slowly unfurled and Nico did feel a bolt of fear rush through him. If the dragon ran, it was all over, but the beast soon pulled its wings tight again.

As Nico stood there, the dragon tilted its head, rotating it slowly before it leaned in and opened its muzzle. Nico felt razor sharp teeth slide across his cheeks and ears before an undulating, purple tongue slithered between his lips. It was so large, so pointed; it was practically a weapon of mass seduction on its own. Nico tried not to gag as it filled his mouth and soon his own tongue was wiggling back.

Somewhere in the back of his mind, his long quelled problem began to bubble back. He had lived a life devoted to sex before Eli, a life of excess in sexual stimulation... And something about kissing this massive beast was turning him on in all the right ways. Blood rushed to Nico's groin, but he soon moaned into the kiss as he felt it was more than that. His manhood was slithering down the leg of his shorts, soon emerging from the underside and passing his knee. He grunted hard as the tip came to a point, the edge developing several sharp points.

Nico's eyes rolled into the back of his head as the dangling shaft filled out, growing wider and thicker as a medial ring bloated out, veins pumping and expanding in numerous directions. The dragon continued its affections, sliding its tongue down Nico's throat almost all the way to his stomach. Nico's neck widened, but a green speckling began to appear on his adam's apple before it spread outward, wrapping around his neck and slipping up his chin.

Moments passed, more than a human could hold his breath, but Nico's bond with the dragon was unbroken. His chest started to fill out, his pectorals expanding until the t-shirt was tight against his body. The fabric rode up, showing a firmly packed set of green abdominal muscles. One of Nico's hands slipped up to stroke the dragon's cheek, the flexing fingers turning jade green as the nails turned black, stretching out into claws. The knuckles popped, the palm shifted and the hand became a wicked paw stroking the largest dragon's muzzle.

The other two dragons moved over, circling around Nico and the golden dragon. They leaned in and nuzzled, sharing their affection. Nico felt their muzzles press against his shoulders as they widened, his back as it lengthened. He was nearly knocked off his feet, but his thighs widened, his legs elongated and his toe claws dug into the roof to get a grip. He broke the kiss and gasped as a muzzle slipped around his sharp dragon cock.

The drake sucking Nico off rooted up his length, bobbing his muzzle back and forth before he got to the leg of his shorts. The fabric strained and ultimately tore, revealing a hairless, muscled groin covered in green scales. The golden dragon wrapped his wings around his brood, shielding them from the cool night air. Nico threw his head back, moaning out loud. His voice dropped in pitch dramatically as his jaw pushed forward, making room for larger, sharper teeth. His eyes filled with purple light and tiny droplets of blood ran down his face as ivory horns erupted from his skull. Two main, then a surprising three sets of smaller ones.

In the leathery embrace of the dragons, Nico's ribs pushed apart, his tailbone spooled outward with bone after bone as flesh and muscle wrapped around, creating a long tail that ended in several tentacle like prehensile whips. As the golden dragon unfurled his wings, the new green dragon let out a roar that echoed through the night. It was a roar of relief, of respite from sorrow, a roar that made Eli wrap his arms around himself below.

"How much time did that buy us?" Eli asked weakly.

"Not enough... Hopefully it tuckered them out." Grayson whispered softly.

Sunlight streamed through the windshield of the cop car, glinting off of the equipment. Seth had to admit, as cramped as he felt in the Explorer with all their equipment, cops had it worse. The awkwardly placed computer, the metal bars, not to mention the lack of legroom, he felt quite cramped. Still, it was better than being shoved into the back of one like when he was in his rebellious phase.

Seth looked down at the purple rose opal egg sitting in his lap, his long goatee draping down his chest. Normally a synthetic opal that size would have taken months to complete, but with some ingenuity and an unlicensed nuclear accelerator, great things had become possible. It still wasn't as majestic as the natural opals that had originally been part of the statue, the luster followed an almost mathematical mesh inside the stone... but it had to be enough, it had to work. Seth looked back up as they came around the corner, the barricades still in place from the night before. The cop car came to a stop and Seth squeezed out, looking around. Grayson ran over, hugging Seth carefully.

"Thank god you're here..." Gray said softly. Seth looked around.

"Where is everyone?" Seth asked.

"Well, uh, after Nico bought us about two hours, the dragons started looking restless, so Eli went up and joined them too. And then one officer did as well." Gray whispered. Seth's eyes went wide.

"Really?!" Seth asked. Gray nodded.

"Come on, if this doesn't work, I don't know what will." Gray said. Seth nodded, following Gray into the building.

The climb was a bit perilous with such precious cargo, but Gray and Seth ascended steadily to the rooftop, smelling the sweet scent of cinnamon spice drifting on the air from a bakery down the street. The light caught the opal as well, shimmering brightly. Their presence was quickly detected by the six dragons. The beasts turned to look at the new additions to their family, though the golden dragon froze momentarily when it saw the purple egg in Seth's hands.

"We have come in good faith to renew the promise made by those that came before us... To let your spirits live in peace in another realm, to allow both of our kind to prosper." Seth said. The dragon leaned down and sniffed the egg, its breath blasting across the surface. Its lips curled a bit before it brought its muzzle down around the egg, taking it into its mouth for a moment.

"What is it doing?" Gray whispered, moving over to Seth's side.

"How should I know?" Seth asked back. The dragon slowly turned and moved back to the center of the roof, wrapping its tail around its legs as it got down. Slowly the dragon lowered its head and deposited the opal, gleaming far brighter than before, between its front feet. Seth sighed with relief. Gray pulled out his PKE meter, switching it on.

"It changed the structure?" Gray asked.

"It made sure the egg matched the others." Seth replied. As the morning sun rose higher, the rays of light filled the egg and started to pass through the golden dragon. The huge beast seemed ephemeral for a moment, sparkling and shining, making the air beyond feel like a warm summer's day. The sunlight began to pass through all of the dragons, their forms becoming less and less tangible as the light got brighter.

Gray had to look away as the light got too bright, but Seth could see through the washed out illumination. He could see the purple eggs coalescing in the middle of the dragon's original children, and new eggs forming for those that had been created. The eggs drifted down, floating to their parent, laying in a clutch before the golden dragon's stomach. With one last flash, the dragons disappeared entirely and a golden coating covered the eternal protector, the dragon guarding the many eggs.

Nico shivered a bit, feeling his nipples pressed into the cold slick roof of the police precinct. He sat up slowly, feeling his shaft slide across his leg with more length than he had remembered. Nico wrapped his arms around himself to brace against the cold, coming face to face with kind almond colored eyes of an Asian man he had never met. Nico blushed a bit, realizing they were both naked.

"Uh, hello?" Nico said, trying not to look but noticing that the other man was sporting quite the package as well.

"It's a pleasure to meet you Mister Kingston, I'm Officer Hwang. I've been a big fan of your work." the man said with an implacable grin. Nico nodded a little dumbly, looking around, revealed to see Seth and Gray standing in front of the golden statue.

"So it all worked out as planned?" he asked, trying to jump start the recovery process.

"Did you have any doubt?" Eli asked, moving over to sit next to Nico, his hands behind his waist on the ground as he stretched his back.

"How are you not cold? It's freezing?!" Nico asked. Eli shrugged.

"I was a plant once, I guess it just makes me dormant. I COULD go for a good nap after all." Eli grinned.

"Let's... just get off this roof. The press is going to go nuts if it sees you all naked with a cop. Just imagine the scandal headlines." Grayson smirked.

"Are you kidding? This man deserves a medal of honor! He sacrificed himself for the general good of the people!" Eli said.

"Yeah, just don't pin it to him until he has a shirt on. Plus I'm pretty sure we owe him a whole box of doughnuts." Nico winked. Officer Hwang chuckled at that, clapping both naked men around the shoulders, the sunlight still washing over them all.
