#4 of Breaking In Modruk: arc 2

Hey everyone! I appreciate all the kind comments I've gotten over the past few stories. I promised at the end of my last story "Losing it again" that I would follow up with Max's perspective and that's what this story is. It starts near the end of "Keg Party" and we kinda see how the events followed through from Max's perspective. Some of you weren't too pleased with the orc so maybe this will help redeem him, or maybe not. ALSO I apologize for there being no smut. I promise I will double up on it in the next story. However I hope you all still enjoy!

"But that's not that true," Danny said.

Oh please no, Danny keep quite!

"You said that the college gave you guys this building when the others were getting too small. I mean look at this place, I know the outside is kind of crummy but inside it looks, finished, new and amazing!"

Max looked around the room. His stoned human was just letting those words roll out of his mouth, and about the room were some very aggravated looking furs. He nudged Nate, the lion at his side to help quell the situation. The orc could see the human kind of knew he brought up a topic he shouldn't have and Max had to agree. As Nate explained to Danny in a calm tone how the college's intentions with giving the non-human community this frat house were acts of less than charitable intentions Max scanned to see who was most pissed.

An elk fur sitting on the floor and looking the most annoyed scoffed and rolled his eyes. And with good reason Max knew. The elk whose name was Richard was one of said families who had to fund out of pocket the finances to refurnish the building. Indeed his family was well off, but Max new of the bitter legal battle that his family fought because of it.

The nerdy female mouse that Max knew very well spoke from experience of being one of the frat houses "sluts" was accepted to come to campus because of her exceptionally gifted intellects. Nate, who was very gently explaining to his Modruk the realities of the college's treatment of non- humans was himself one of the best pianists he'd ever heard.

The effects of the cannabis were taking their time for the orc, much more than he'd have liked, as he felt himself a little disgruntled at Danny's clueless ness. The orc loved the human, Max knew he did but even as the conversation changed to the topic of classes and school activities he couldn't help but feel a little unnerved at the fact that Danny, who he was sure was able to immediately get accepted into the University, was amongst the most gifted, and smart students on campus. And they, like Max, were regularly treated like garbage.

Where humans can walk too, non-humans have to fly...

Max pulled another hit from his blunt and his thoughts went back to earlier in the week. He recalled a situation that had been biting at him for the past few days. At his campus job working on a computer who'd somehow managed to get a particularly nasty virus. Fixing it was taking longer than he'd assumed it would though, and when the owner came back to retrieve it, Max calmly explained so. The conversation still rang in his head.

"Look sir, I apologize for making you wait a little longer but its just going to take a day or two more." Max said calmly.

_ _

The human Max spoke too was irate. "Listen, I'm already on edge letting your filthy hands touch my computer. Now you tell me you're going to be working on it more? I've got a paper I need to write!"

Max felt the anger well up as it did during the conversation.

"Sir there's computer labs on campus you can use."

_ _

"Don't you fucking tell me what to do you animal." The human sneered. "You non-humans stink up those damn labs. Just get my computer done."

_ _

Max tightened his first feeling the anger well up. The conversation had just gone down hill from there. He knew if he'd have been given the slightest bit of cheek back, he'd have been fired.

"Yea you can kinda say that we're dating, that we're boyfriends."

"No." The word cut through the air like a sharp knife.

Max suddenly felt his tension boil over. Everything, just everything was too much. And now this, Max was more than slightly annoyed, though gulping it down he spoke calmly, in an even voice.

Once again Danny I have to spell it out for you.

"No, we-" But the orc was cut off by Danny, something that cut him off guard.

. "Wait, Max c'mon now."

The orc was feeling a dull throbbing in his head and he spoke without fully realizing how he sounded. "Don't interrupt me, Modruk. You'll learn your place especially in front of my friends."

He thought back to how everyone here was regularly treated poorly when he emphasized saying the last part of the sentence. He wasn't going to lie, everyone here deserved better than that.

"Danny here is not my boyfriend, and we are not dating." Max sounded agitated, and gave a brief glance to Danny. "Despite my several attempts to explain to Danny here, we aren't defined like that. Danny has agreed to be my Modruk, so he is mine now to do with as I please."

A room was deathly quiet, and Danny's face flushed with sheer embarrassment. Leaning back, Max turned his head to Danny's and leaned into roughly whisper, "Don't tell my friends we're dating when we've never had one."

Max was not aware one bit how vicious he'd come off. Inside he felt a bit better, and knew he'd owe Danny an apology when they got home.

I'm just tired of having to set the record straight.

_ _

_ _ He was feeling a little bit inebriated but leaned back and looked at his Modruk. Danny's face was blank, probably shocked from the orc's bluntness. But if there was one thing Max knew he'd been this whole time, was forth coming about the status of their relationship. Still though Danny wasn't saying anything, and a pang of guilt stabbed the orc in the stomach. Slowly he recounted what he'd said in his head, "Don't tell my friends we're not dating when we've never had one."

_That was a complete asshole thing to say. _

_ _

Max pushed forward, and stretched out his arm to collect the human in his grasp. He wasn't going to wait to apologize, but as soon as he'd rested it down on his Modruk's shoulders Danny slipped out by getting The human's voice shook, quickly saying something about having bad cotton mouth and left to go upstairs. He didn't look back.

The orc was taken aback by it and that pang of guilt in his stomach intensified 100 fold. Max knew he'd just lashed out at the wrong person. Which everyone in the room silently watched leave, then once the human was up the stairs with the door shut behind him, their attention was turned on Max.

The mouse glared at Max, "Really Max? Was it that necessary to tell him off like?"

"Oh pipe down pip-squeak" wolf sitting a few seats down said. "Ain't nothing wrong with setting the record straight, right Max."

The orc remained silent, staring at the base of the stairs. He could feel himself grow a bit uneasy. "I should go after him."

"Eh? You could but I think he'd prefer to be alone right now." Max turned to Nate, who was reclining back. "I mean yea you do need to apologize, but just let the heat of the moment die down, ya know?"

Max still felt uneasy and made to get up, when the lion grabbed his arm and pulled him back. "Look he really may have a bad case of cotton mouth." With that the lion loudly smacked his lips. "Lord knows I do. And look it'll look weird if you shadow the kid all right; he can get a glass of water by himself. Let him explore, how much trouble can he get into?"

Max couldn't think straight. The lion was talking next to him, and from the gazes around the room half seemed to be glad Danny was gone, while the other half held a deep seething glare on the orc. Despite feeling their gazes burning into his skin he waited for a few minutes.

Nate who was smoking passed the lit blunt to Max, to pass around. The orc looked at the offered toke. "No." He shook his head and accepted the blunt, but then immediately passed it too to primate on the other side.

"Aw, what's a matter?" The lion said frowning.

The orc got up, straightening out. "Look you guys, I'll see you later. I gotta talk to Danny."

He couldn't take it anymore. He had to apologize now and made his way across the room. A few of the furs moved out of the way, and the orc made his way up the stairs, past the door and finally to the main level of the frat house.

Danny where did you go?

_ _

The orc tried thinking. Danny was upset and he left, he could be on his way back to the dorms right now. But then the orc remembered what Nate had said, about Danny being thirsty. Max turned the corner and made his way to the kitchen. The frat house was less crowded now, it seemed. Max guessed that the beer must have been tapped out dry, and upon entering the kitchen his assumption was correct. Where the keg had been, the spot was now empty and Zach, the one who had been handing out drinks all night was now cleaning up and throwing away the scattered remains of red plastic cups. A few other furs mingled in the kitchen all the same, including his co-worker who he had spoken too earlier in the evening. But his Modruk wasn't anywhere to be found.

"Zach," The orc said and walked over to the zebra. "Have you seen Danny anywhere?"

The zebra that was in the midst of cleaning up and talking to a cute looking female feline looked up annoyed. But seeing that it was Max, he gave a half grin, and then suppressed it. "Well yea you just missed him actually."

"Where did Danny go?" The orc asked, furrowing his brows.

Zach stood up fully and leaned himself against the countertop. He didn't answer right away much to Max's annoyance and tilted his head to one side to crack it before he finally responded. "He did ask for a drink and I gave him a chilled glass of water." The female, a sleek looking panther with a large bust gave a soft giggle that irritated the orc.

"Zack," the green skin said in a low tone. He stepped forward. "I'm not playing games. Where did-" but at that moment Max was cut off.

The outside sliding glass door suddenly opened and everyone in the room paused to see the large half dressed frat member coming in. Max recognized the lanky troll. Tall, decent build, long arms and legs, purple skin, Veril stepped into the kitchen and strolled up to Zach to give the stallion a high five.

Max crossed his arms over his chest, looking annoyed while the troll gave a wet sounding belch. "Yuh, mon I finished up the last of the keg." The purple male swayed with a hiccup. "Yuh got anymore fer Veril?"

Zach chuckled and shook his head. "Sorry bro. We're tapped out and closed. Everyone just guzzles down the booze too fast."

"Aw that isa bein too bad now." The troll said in a slurring voice. But he seemed not to dwell on that too much. Looking at the sleek looking panther he gave a leering grin and wriggled his ears. "Yuh comin back fer more fun girlie?"

The panther gave the troll the deepest look of loathing, and Zach shook his head and wrapped his arm around the panther's waist. "Sorry Veril, but Jessica here is spoken for. However..." Max saw the zebra's eyes briefly flicker in his direction. "You've got a brand new slut waiting for you in your room."

The troll grinned, he didn't seem as interested in that fact, still openly leering at the female panther. "Really now, mon?"

Zach chuckled. "Yea, the one you specifically asked for."

The drunk troll's eyes instantly widened, and he looked at the zebra who nodded back. Then running a three fingered hand through his hair the troll turned pace to head to the main portion of the frat house. "Be sein yuh, mon." The troll casually said. He walked past Max, scuffing the orc by the side, never bothering to apologize.

The orc rolled his eyes and looked at the Zebra. "There going to be a new "slut" this week?"

"Yeeaup." Zach said. He grinned at the panther. "That's good news for you, right? I mean you gotta be happy its not you anymore." The female panther grinned and nodded. "God yes. I hated getting all those calls at all hours of the night."

"Well surely not mine?" The zebra inquired, sounding affronted. The panther shook her head, and Max turned around to the fridge.

_Veril. What a damn piece of work he is. _

_ _

If there was one frat member the orc knew he particularly didn't care for it was that fucking troll. That purple fiend was one of the reasons Max wasn't a frat member himself. Veril was always partying, and groping everything that moved. He was lewd, crude and very popular. The troll wasn't a senior yet, but seemed to have a lot of sway with out the frat house ran. All the guys wanted to hang out with him and despite his notorious "flavor of the week" attitude with sexual partners half the girls couldn't help but throw themselves at him. So much so that practically all the girls that ended up being the "slut" did so spending the night with him. It had occurred to Max more than once to drug the troll and deliver onto him the special dominating treatment he knew Veril liked to do onto others so much. But he knew he'd receive retaliation from half the frat.

Max opened the fridge and saw a few chilling cups of water. Max knew what they were for. Reaching for a cup he brought the brim under his nose and sniffed. The smell was faint, undetectable to most senses but Max could pick up the very faint aroma with his keen nose, the sleeping drug they'd used to lace the liquid in. A few cups like this were usually for frat members who had lays they wanted to fuck, but weren't drunk enough.

Then like a flash of lightening the orc realized how utterly stupid he'd been. His drugged up state was truly messing with his reasoning skills and he put the cup back and flung around to face the zebra.

"You son of a bitch!" Max snarled, bearing his tusks. The orc advanced on the zebra, but the stallion held up his hands.

"Whoa there!" Zach chuckled. "Finally figured it out, did you? God Max you're really smart, but slow as fuck when you're high."

Max balled up his fists. "Why Danny?"

The zebra held his grin, looking strangely pleased to see the orc so furious looking. He reached an arm around the panther's side and pulled her close. She melted into his grasp. Still though with a hand he held out his palm as sort of a gesture to calm Max down. "It wasn't anything personal, I promise. Jus I promised Jessica here I'd get her off the circuit this week. An was promised a few things in return because of it."

Max felt the blood rising to his head, intensifying from his anger. "You think you're going to get laid tonight?" The orc said through grit teeth. "It'll be interesting to see how that bitch can play with a neutered horsy, cuz I'm gonna rip your junk right on out with my bare hands!" And with that Max started to advance but Zach just nodded his head towards the hall.

"You could. Or you could just go upstairs and get the human yourself. Chances are it's not too late."

Max blinked, pausing mid-step towards the stallion. He realized Zach was right. Making a promise to himself to neuter the Zebra on another day Max turned pace and ran down the hall way. He was still feeling woozy though, and reaching the corner he slammed into the side of the wall, having not effectively turned the corner. None the less, with the dull pain in his shoulder he bolted the rest of the way, knocking a few furs and coming to the main entrance of the building. The beginning of the stairs started right before the front door, and Max looked up. A few frat brothers were mingling at the top, but Veril was no where to be found. He grabbed the banister and turned to move up the stairs when suddenly he felt a powerful grip clasp onto his shoulder and yank him back down.

"Whooooa there Max, where do you think your going?"

The familiar voice belonged to Lenny, and forced back at the main floor level Max brushed the bull's hand from his shoulder. "Look," The orc began. His voice sounded urgent, and he tried to make his way up the stairs again. The bull was quick and stepped in front of Max blocking his path. "Danny's up there, I'm getting him!"

The bull's only response was to cross his arms over his chest. The bull was a solid wall of muscle, a football player lineman. His was a specialty of not letting things get past him, and the orc would be no exception. Max growled, bearing his tusks and shoved forward powerfully at the bull though and Lenny found himself falling backwards onto the stairs. He was able to regain his composure quick enough, stopping Max from walking past him and pushed the orc back.

All the commotion too was gathering a small crowd, and the orc looked about. A few other frat members closed on in, and Max found himself semi-surrounded by several tall furs.

"You're not getting upstairs, Max" Lenny said in a heated but calm voice. He sounded aggravated at being assaulted by the orc. "I understand you're upset but you know the rules we have here. No one bothers a brother while he gets his groove on, and that includes your precious little human."

"That's not fair! You drugged him!" The orc's fists balled up tightly. There was venom in his voice.

"And how would that be any different than what you did to the human when you wanted him?" Lenny challenged. Max's eyes suddenly widened, and his tightly balled fists relaxed suddenly. Max blinked at what the bull said. And Lenny smirked seeing he'd caught Max. "Being a hypocrite much? Everyone knows how you collected that cute human of yours up the first time. In fact we used the same drug components that you had used on him."

Max shook his head. "That, that's different, look Danny and I are together now. He's mine!"

Lenny remained firm though. "Well for tonight you're just going to have to share him." The bull read Max's expression, a one of pure loathing. "What you seriously didn't think you could bring in that, doe eyed, tight piece of ass and parade him around like some damned trophy while keeping him all to yourself, did you?"

"Shut the fuck up! I promised Danny nothing bad would happen to him!" Max protested.

Lenny raised an eyebrow and slowly shook his head. "Well then tomorrow you can explain why you lied."

With that the orc growled and lunged forward for the bull again. This time though a few sets of hands launched forward and grabbed the orc, pulling him back. Max snarled and bared his tusks, trying to get free from the grips of a large brown wolf and orc restraining him back. Lenny looked impassive, but rolled his eyes.

"Look Max, rules are rules. You are welcome to stay the night, but you're not getting up these stairs. And that means if one of us has to be standing here waiting guard all night long. Now get the fuck outta here" With that the wolf and fellow green skin holding Max back threw him back, and Max fell to the ground.

The bull crossed his arms over his chest again, and in turn so did the other frat brothers that surrounded the orc. Max, straightening himself out, knew there was no way past them, and glanced back up stairs. Then turning to Lenny he fixed the male a fierce glare. "If Danny is hurt I'll fucking end every one of you."

With that the orc turned back to go down the hall. He had no choice but to wait out the entire evening, while his Modruk was in the clutches of that troll he despised so much. The thought of it made him sick.

_Never fucking again am I coming here. _

_ _

Max went back to the lower den area where his pot smoking buddies were at. He needed something to take his mind off of what was going on upstairs. It was the only thing he could do. He was fucked, in the worst kind of way.

As Max descended the stairs the room's chatting inhabitants stopped, eyeing the orc coming in who was alone. The orc wasn't sure if they knew what exactly was happening, but it was subtly clear: Max was back alone.

Plopping down next to Nate the lion reached an arm and apologetically rubbed the orc's shoulders. A few of the furs weren't so sympathetic though. The nerdy female mouse gave a slight sneer. "Well look on the bright side, its not like you two were dating or anything."

*******

Morning couldn't come quick enough for the orc. He tried sleeping but found that he couldn't. He was just too awake, with guilt, with anxiety, shame and utter frustration. The den's inhabitants lingered a little while after Max came back down, but then through the night one by one they left for their respective dorms. Now Max was alone waiting. There wasn't much else too do. A few times throughout the night he'd gone back up to see if he could get his Modruk back, but just like Lenny had promised there was a frat member staunchly standing guard at the base of the stairs. A few had alternated shifts throughout the night, a mean looking brown horse, a dragon then a burly looking orca. Each one, after seeing Max approach would suddenly become more erect and smirk at he orc as if daring him to try and pass.

The green skin was left now with his thoughts of all the various ways he'd get back at each and every one of them, especially Veril. Max tried to keep his thoughts on revenge anyhow. When he didn't all he could think about was all the ways that fiend was using his Modruk. The positions he was forcing Danny to use, forcing himself inside the lad. Max shivered. And that damned troll was at the center of all of this. There was something especially unsettling that he'd realized during the middle of the night that he couldn't get out of his head. It was when Zach had informed Veril of Danny being in his room.

_The troll had asked for Danny specifically? _

_ _

His thoughts were cut short though when the door from upstairs suddenly opened. A voice called down to him. "The new slut's getting up. They can hear him getting dressed now."

The orc launched himself up. He felt tired but was stone sober, and raced across the dimly lit room, and thumped up the stairs, going two at a time. As he turned the corner to go towards the main entrance his eyes widened at the crowd that had come to gather. They stood shoulder to shoulder blocking off the path from the end of the hallway to the main front door.

_ _

Oh no, they're not going too...

Max pushed himself through the crowd, nudging his way past the tightly compressed nonhumans. It seemed everyone one of them wanted to get a glimpse of the first human frat slut. The orc felt hatred well up inside him. It didn't help any as he made his way through the crowd that some of them weren't so willing to let him through.

"Hey get in back, I got here first!" A fox growled when Max shoved his way past. The fox reached forward and grabbed the orc by the shoulder, to yank him back but the orc was in no mood. Bearing his tusks, Max balled up a fist and swung it hard; giving a powerful uppercut to the fur whose head launched up and fell backwards. The fox loudly yelped, "Yearrhgg, you asshole!" The fox yelled, pushing back to his feet with the aid of a few frat brothers.

At once the attention of the surrounding furs turned their attention on the orc, over a dozen furious stares fixed on Max, and right before they were about to descend on him. "HOLD IT!" A thick voice boomed out.

"He hit me!" the fox accused pointing to Max with a shaking finger.

"You got in my way!" The orc bellowed back. He couldn't believe this. After what he and his human were going through, the frat was still giving him this much trouble.

"He's right," that same authoritative voice spoke. "No one is to get in the orc's way." Max turned to see that it was Lenny who spoke. He was accompanied by Zach at the foot of the stairs. The nonhumans moved out of the way as Max passed on by and he accompanied the two who helped start all this, then glanced up. There were more frat brothers up on the balcony. The fire in Max's belly rose and he glanced at the bull. "Tell all these fuckers to go away."

The bull seemed to gaze around the room and he chuckled, "Eh, no?" He turned to look at the orc square. "You think the human is going to get special treatment?"

"He already is!" Max snarled back, "There's twice as many of you out here as there would be if it was just another bitch!"

"But we're not seeing off 'just another bitch' Zach chimed in. "This is the first human for this frat. We're all here to witness history! Hehe."

The response Max had for the cocky zebra stopped right when the orc was about to open his mouth when he heard it.

"Slut... slut.... slut.... slut... slut..."

He looked up with a sober face. Some little twat of a rodent nonhuman was starting off a chant and much to Max's displeasure others were joining him. And there the orc saw him, Danny, his Modruk.

The human walked slowly with a cold expression on his face past the taunting nonhumans. He looked disheveled. Danny's hair was messed up, his face looked tired, eyes blood shot. Even being at the top of the stairs Max could smell the aroma of sex and sweat that permeated of the Modruk's skin.

Danny.

_ _

The orc saw as the human made his way to the top of the stairs that Danny's eyes flickered to the door. Max felt Danny's gaze meet his, but the human quickly averted it with, almost apathetically and walked down the steps. The fire inside Max's chest died down and he felt it become replaced with a cold sorrow.

Danny I'm sorry.

_ _

When the human made his way to the bottom of the stairs he made straight for the doorway, which Lenny and Zach silently allowed. The orc stepped in to help Danny out but the human quickly shoved right on past, causing Max to blink. The orc felt that cold angst feeling well up more. He gave a brief glare at the continuously chanting group and followed the human on out. He stepped close to Danny, walking past the doorway. Max was glad he did. Right when Danny made to the top of the steps Max watched as if in slow motion Danny lost his footing. The orc was ready though and in a flash he reached for Danny's form and pulled back preventing the human fom connecting his face to the concrete path below.

The orc's heart picked up from it and he felt Danny quiver in his grasp. Lenny who was close by also reached forward, but the orc was quick to pull his human out of the bull's grasp.

"Make sure he gets home alright." The bull said. Max bit his tongue, wanting to so badly tell off the beefy male, but that'd just take away from getting home sooner. "Yea we're going straight to the dorms." The orc quickly mumbled. He saw Danny look between him and the bull, but Max gripped the human firmly by the shoulders and pull away from Lenny. Tucking Danny close to him the pair left for their dorms, leaving the chanting Alpha Gamma Omega frat behind.

"Hope to see you next week and from now on you drink for free!!" Zach's voice called out from behind. Max could feel the human cringe in his grasp.

********

The walk back to the dorms had been a quiet one. Despite the sunny Sunday morning it was turning out to be, both the orc and his human seemed to be in no mood to match it. Some curious college students out for their morning jog gazed at the orc and human slowly making their way back towards campus, something that Max couldn't have cared less about. Really the only thing he wanted was to hear Danny talk. But during the whole stroll home, the human was dead silent. Max couldn't blame him, he didn't have anything to say right then, himself.

When they got back inside the building, and finally made it onto their floor Danny seemed to then try and part from Max's grasp. Something the orc wouldn't have. He retained his old, and the human seemed to whimper in his grasp.

It was then that Danny spoke.

"Max I'm dead tired and I just want to lie down alone right now." The human sounded weak. "I want to go to my dorm."

The orc shook his head and guided Danny to his own room, and pulled out his keycard to unlock the door. "Danny you can take my bed." Max spoke calmly but held a firm tone. "I won't accompany you. I'll be on the futon below. But," he turned to the human and their eyes met. "Right now I just can't deal with you being out of my sight."

He could tell the human wanted to argue further, but being so physically weak, drained or maybe just from how Max sounded, Danny finally paused and submitted. "A-alright."

Max opened the door for his Modruk and slowly the human entered the orc's dwelling, where he began to disrobe and got ready for a good sleep. Max meanwhile gave a last look outside, down one end of the hallway, then down the other. Then shutting the door he locked it up, something he knew he rarely ever did. But then no one, not one fucking soul was going to bother them today. He just wouldn't allow it.
