"Last night, at 8:12 PM, a man named Lloyd Stellar escaped from prison. He is believed to be armed and very dangerous. So to everyone who are going out, please beware of this man. He will kill you in sight. He already has taken hundreds of victims. One of them, apparently, happened at 9:16 last night. The victim was shot multiple times and is now recovering at Lightwood County Hospital."

"Wow," I said as I continue to stare at the hospital TV. "News spread so quickly."

"It can't be helped," Louis sighed. "He already tried to kill you. Three times if you count the fight."

"Don't remind me," I sighed. "So when can I go out?"

"Anytime you want," he smiled. "James already healed you up. But I think you should wear bandages so you won't draw a lot of attention."

"You may be right."

We continue to sit in silence watching the news that was on. Minutes later, the door was knocked by someone.

"Come in," I yelled. The door was opened by Bryan who was carrying a bouquet of white daisies. He was wearing a blue t-shirt with dark jeans.

"Hey," he smiled softly. "I heard what happened to you."

"Hi Bryan," I smiled back. Bryan entered slowly and closed the door.

"Listen, I'm sorry I was such a jerk two weeks ago," he sighed. "I was too jealous when Mei tried to be nice to you. You are, after all, new in the area and I kinda forgot about it."

"What's done is done," I said back. "I'll accept your apology."

"Thanks," he smiled in relief. "Still, I can't believe that Lloyd would do such a thing."

"How could you have not known about it?" Louis asked. "You two basically live with each other."

"Well, whenever I asked, he usually said 'it's a secret.' So I kinda don't know anything about his social activities. I always thought he was working on his job."

"So he never told anyone?"

"Yeah. The first time I know about his activities was when the police came to our house two weeks ago."

"When Alex was hospitalized because of him, right?" I asked. Bryan just nodded.

"That's when we learned the whole news about him."

"Boy. Talk about secrecy much..." I mumbled.

"Speaking of which, here. For you."

He handed me the bouqet.

"For me?" I asked.

"Think of it as a make up and get well soon present," he smiled. I was really surprised by his actions. I even gazed at the present he gave me for a while.

"And if you want, you can date Mei," he continued. "I won't lose my temper anymore."

"Thank you," I smiled happily. I even held the flowers closely.

"You like the flowers?" Bryan smiled.

"Yeah! Cause..."

"Wild daisies are your favourites, right Gerald?" a voice behind the opened door rang. I peered and saw a blonde man in his late 30's standing in the doorway. He's wearing a brown coat over his magenta office shirt. Beneath it, he wore black pants and office shoes. His blue eyes are very recognizable from the memory image.

"Kendric!" I yelled happily.

"It's been a while, isn't it?" he smiled.

I quickly got up and cuddled him. He smiled and patted my back.

"I miss you too, Ger," he said.

"Uh... Dad," Bryan said. "You know him?"

"He's your son?" I asked him also as I pulled away. I turned around and compared the two of them. "Well, he does have your eyes and hair."

"That's my son alright," Kendric smiled.

"And I thought your name is Michael," he looked at me.

"It's a complicated story," I chuckled. "Even I don't get most of it." As my stomach contracted, the wound on my stomach started to sting once more.

"Ow, ow. Laughing hurts," I smiled as I held my stomach. Everybody in the room laughed as I smiled at my pain.

"So Bryan," Kendric said. "Can you leave us adults talking?"

"You and Louis?"

"Me and Gerald."

"His name is Michael. And he's as old as I am."

"True," Louis and I said at the same time.

"Can you two just leave us for a sec?" Kendric sighed. "We kinda want to catch up with each other after not seeing each other for a long time."

"Very long time," I added.

"Fine," Bryan said as he left the room. Louis followed him moments later, leaving the two of us in the hospital room.

"So how goes your life?" he asked.

"Pretty much okay, except for the parts where I got seriously hurt," I smiled as I sat down on the hospital bed. "Plus, I don't remember anything about our past though. Sorry."

"It's okay," he smiled back as he sat at the chair Louis was sitting on. "I don't expect you to remember anyways."

"Still, I'm kinda surprised that you already have a familly of your own."

"Says you," he chuckled. "You're the one who got married first."

I nearly spat the water that I was trying to drink. I swallowed the water and gave him a shocking expression.

"I got what?"

"You're married first. To Gabriella."

"What!?"

"I remember it like it was yesterday," he smiled as he reminiced the old days. "It was a bright and beautiful sunny morning. The both of you. Side by side. Engaging the ceremony of matrimony. That July morning was truly romantic and a very happy day."

I was utterly speechless. I tried to respond, but my mind was completely jumbled. I felt happy and at the same time awkward.

'Then, my feelings to her is really a mix with Gerald's?' I thought.

"Ger?"

I looked up to him as I snapped out of my trance.

"What?"

"You have that grin you always have whenever you think of her," he pointed at my face, smiling. I guess I didn't realize it as I continue to think about her. I took a deep breath and relaxed my body.

"Sorry," I smiled. "Did we have any kids?"

"Just one. His name is Jeremiah."

"Damn," I sighed deeply. "I even forgot my own child."

I flinched at my last statement. "Wait!? What am I saying!? I'm not married yet!"

"Well, your memories is kinda mixed up between the past and the present. So yeah. It's kinda confusing sometimes," Kendric smiled.

"That's it! I give up!" I yelled as I hold out the pain in my stomach. "Enough about my family. Tell me about yours. The present one."

"Well, for starters," he chuckled, "I had a very beautiful wife named Veronica. She had a very beautiful pair of cerulean eyes and brown hair. She's smart, funny, caring, affectionate, and brave. We had two kids together, Lloyd and Bryan."

"Hold on," I stopped him. "You said 'had a beautiful wife'."

"Yeah," he sighed sadly. "She died ten years ago."

"Oh... What happened?"

"A gang grouped up on her and tried to stole her purse," he sighed once more. "She retaliated and was shot on the scene. When I saw her at the hospital, she smiled sadly at me and said those words I can never forget...

At this moment, his eyes began to tear up as the sad memory comes back to him.

"S-she said:

'Kendric, I'm sorry. I couldn't fulfill our promise. I have to go now. I will never forget the times we spent together. Please take care of them. I will always watch over all of you.'

"She then died seconds after in my arms," he sniffed. "She had a very peaceful look on her face."

"I-I'm sorry..." I said as I handed him a box of tissue. "I-I guess I knew now why Bryan was over protective."

"He never want to lose anyone precious to him anymore," Mei said as she entered the door.

"Gabriella..." I stared at her.

"His mother wasn't protected when she was assaulted. That's why he tried to be more protective to the people around him. I felt sorry for that kid."

"Don't be," Kendric smiled as he used the tissues. "He's a strong kid. Much like you, Gerald. You lost your father when you were younger than him."

I chuckled slightly at the comment.

"And I think I know the reason why Lloyd is so violent," Mei said. "I think the part of him wants revenge so badly that anyone who tries to hurt his family will get 'eliminated.'"

"Not to mention he could get backups by joining into a gang," I added.

"That would pretty much make sense," Kendric nodded before he sighed. "What kind of a father am I..."

"Relax, Kendric," I patted his shoulder. "Don't blame yourself. I think you should try and stop him before everything has really gone too far."

"Correction," Mei interrupted. "Everything has gone to far. I did some research and found out that he has killed over twenty people in the past few months. While the other years, well... it's countless. The early murders' crime scenes were very peculiar. The ground erupts from the ground in the shape of a spike, like the ones in the warehouse last night."

"I knew it..." Kendric sighed again. "My son has really become a mass murderer. I knew I shouldn't have taught him alchemy."
