A New Life

It had been something of an uneventful day. As I remember it, the highlight of the day was someone spilling their coffee into the photocopier and interrupting the sacred flow of work known as 'office life'. It seemed as soon as something got tipped slightly out of place, the whole building blew into mindless chaos. I was most likely the only one there able to continue on whilst said confusion went on around me; I was happy to simply keep to myself and do my work, alone with my thoughts. It was a pleasure in a way; while some might see that as odd, the silence of that little cubicle somehow comforted me. My own little haven.

Still, nothing ever felt totally right. As though there was something missing that I couldn't quite place my finger on. it never bothered me really, I was content with my life, but always, there was some nagging feeling that there had to be something more to life than filling in insurance papers and calling ahead for someone's meeting with the logistics team.

I stepped drearily from my car onto the soggy pavement, and clicked the door shut behind me, making sure to use the little extra force needed to ensure it latched shut. The thing was old now, I hadn't had the money to replace nor refurbish the elderly motor, so needless to say it had its complaints. I plodded to my semi-detached bungalow; shoulders slouched, just wanting some rest after my day of exhilarating filing. Fumbling with the worn-out keyring, I picked out the green-tipped key and opened my door with a click. Sauntering inside, I threw my bag onto the chair at the entrance, almost forgetting to shut the door behind me in my slow rush to get to the warm embrace of my sheets, and sleep.

I rubbed my eyes drearily and yawned as I made my way up the stairs and into my room, only bothering to remove my shirt and jeans before slumping onto the bed. On the edge of losing consciousness, I rolled over and pulled the sheets over me, the warm, soft pleasure the last thing I felt before I drifted into my dreams.

I was, however, unaware that I was being watched.

A single spore, highly empathic in nature and microscopic in size, had been watching me throughout the week. And observing me as I went about my dull life each day had brought it to a conclusion; something had to change.

it floated past my window in a breeze, directing it's tiny form through a slight crack in the window frame, using not sight but a different sense; that of emotion. It knew my patterns by now, and so it recognized me easily from the many minds around it.

The spore drifted towards my beacon of thought as I slept on obliviously, going for the neck, where it could integrate the most easily. It floated past the hairs on my head, and down to neck, where its microscopic hairs gripped the cells of the surface of my skin. From here on, there was nothing it could do but wait as tiny electric signals transferred through its hairs, along my spine and deep into my brain, gathering in certain areas, changing nothing yet but making the spore a part of my thoughts. A tiny extension of my mind.

A few hours into the morning, and it had fully integrated myself into my mind, and was now working through my whole body, looking at the construction of every cell, every hair, every tiny piece of life that constructed me.

It now knew me, every inch of me. My thoughts, my memories. The tiny imperfections in my skin. But its objective was not to change these things to make me perfect; for what is good is not necessarily right. upon its travels around this strange world, the thing it had found most appealing and endearing were the thoughts of what we humans would call the lesser creatures; the animals. It had seen the patterns in a bees' pollination of flowers, watched as birds' eyes flitted over the ground, watching for movement and a possible meal as they flew. But the mind it had most taken to was that of a canine. The instincts which built up a dogs' mind were elegant and unlike any other; they were based around pleasure, but they also sought that pleasure by being affectionate to other creatures, which no other animal the spore had found, would do.

Therefore, it had chosen this form for me.

The canine the microscopic entity had found was a Siberian Husky, with a beautiful, waving silvery coat, and a patch of white across its breast. The dog had been quite perturbed with the spore's process of examination at first, but it was soon comforted with a feeling of safety as the organism calmed its mind, whilst taking in every detail of the husky, in preparation for me to become it.

I now lay in bed, still oblivious to the plans of my new 'friend', as it started to make the changes necessary. It started with the hands, and slowly the natural hair on my arms began to thicken, becoming more greyish and soft. My hands were closed into loose fists, and the fingers connected together, whilst at the same time shortening, developing slight callouses on the surfaces. My fingernails cracked and shifted into claws, which were then covered by skin and fur, and buried at the tip of my new pawfingers.

The transformation continued down my arms, the bones shortening and the skin tightening to accommodate the change of shape. It reached my shoulders, where the bones again shifted, locking my arms forward in a more canine position. It continued around my chest, fur sprouting over the flesh. At this point I stirred, feeling a strong itching sensation as the hairs broke the surface. I tried to reach to my chest to scratch at it, but found my arms unable to move in such a manner. In tired confusion I tried again fruitlessly, then looked at my hands to see what the problem might be.

At first, I took it as a dream. I assumed it was a mere illusion of my mind, and that it would simply go away. But then as I felt that same itching spread down my stomach, I began to lose the cover of sleep, and turned instead to subdued panic. Feeling the change of emotion, the spore sent soothing thoughts up my spine and into my mind, and I lay silently again, aware of what was going on, but not particularly worried, nor alarmed. Instead, as fur spread over my crotch and slowly reformed my member into that of a canine's sheath, I started to pant in pleasure. I watched as my paws finished developing, then felt the fur continue to spread up my back and over my neck, changing the bones underneath to match that of the husky. A sense of ecstasy started to build up as I watched the tip of my new member peek out from its housing, just before my head was forced upwards by the new bone structure. I felt my ears move up my head, becoming concave and pointed, and then my muzzle started to grow in. my face pushed out as the fur spread over it, and my teeth changed size and shape to accommodate the new jaw. My pink nose became sensitive and turned much darker, the shape of it blending in with my muzzle.

And for some reason, I was loving every moment of it.

I could feel by now what was causing it, and I embraced it with my mind. I let it take total control, feeling every tiny change occurring within me, causing a greater and greater feeling of euphoric ecstasy as I started to writhe on the bed. By now my new canine member was completely hard, and drooling somewhat with husky pre. I was panting heavily as I felt my legs shorten and my feet reform into paws, the hips clicking the new legs into place in front of me. There was only one thing left; the tail. I had expected it to extend from my spine, but that would have been far too... normal?

"Uurr.... UUuuuRRrrRRRRR......"

I panted and groaned as I felt something pushing its way from my butt. For a moment there was some resistance, but then it erupted from my backside.

"RARF! OHHHHRRRRRRR..."

An even greater pleasure washed over me now as that thick, furred appendage slipped from my tailhole, running over every nerve inside me. My member was now drooling steadily, and I shut my eyes in bliss as the tail finished its exit. It moved up my butt and clicked into place at the end of my spine, connections forming with my brain as I felt the muscles kick into action.

My new tail thumping against the bed, I humped into the air with almost desperate passion, wanting that sweet release of the tension that had built up over the experience.

"Unf.... rarf.... grrrarf.... RARF! *YIP*"

I splattered the contents of my new canine sac over my sheets. my knot swelled as I threw my head back and howled in bliss unheard of, feeling the final changes in my mind occurring as I writhed in ecstasy on the bed. I couldn't stop... it was all too much... my mind went blank as I passed out; the pleasure became too much. I drifted into a deep sleep, a happy, contented smile painted on my handsome new muzzle, my tail still wagging slightly.
