First off I don't own any chars from Digimon Series or any nicknames that involved in this story, however I do own the Char named Al and Soul in this story. I apologized first hand if there are spelling and grammar errors since my English is my second language. Please note that in every Digimon series there will be an interaction between human and Digimon whether the Digimon are outside or inside the Digivice. Anything else, please enjoy.

Chapter 31: Old and New Friends. Learned, Data Manipulation!

Al was truly upset because he can't save his friends when they are in danger. Every time he was in danger, somebody will save him in the end. He curled himself feeling how worthless he is. 'I wish I want to be stronger than the last time. But everytime I want to be stronger, I got help from the Glitches.' Al tightened his grip feeling scared for the fact. 'I don't want to depend on it too much but the situation forced me to use it many times. Please make it stop.'

'You are one truly weird being.' Al heard the Glitches again from inside his head. 'Your purpose is to protect someone and for that I gave you power. But you only mastered the power to transform, not the power to manipulate it.'

'Tell me more how to use the power you gave me, Glitches.' Al asked in desperate.

'I will but on one condition. You must let me possessed your body so I can taste how freedom is.'

'But how can I free you when I don't know how?'

A dark orb slowly appeared and glowing right in front of him, 'I have already prepared everything. All you have to do is touch this orb and I will control your body.'

Al was in doubt about the deal. He wanted to learn more about data manipulation, but the cost is that he will lose control of his body. 'I will do it on one condition, that I will keep half of the body with me so I can control every action you made. Otherwise I will do it with just transformation power.'

'You're very cautious being, I'm starting to like you more. You've made yourself a deal.'

'First off, what should I call you?'

'I have no names but if you wanted to, call me BlackWarGreymon.'

'As you wish, BlackWarGreymon,' Al's mind is set and touched the orb. The orb suddenly exploded into millions of data. Al was surprise by this and thinking that it tricked him. Slowly his body turns black starting from his claw that he used to touch the orb. When the black scale reaches his head, he felt a sudden headache and his eyes were wide open because of the pain.

A minute later the pain has stopped and followed with degeneration data from his body. Slowly his body is covered with black ribbons of data. 'The deed is done. Now you have mastered the manipulation. I will claim my payment although it only for a moment.'

Al felt that his body starts shattering and remained as a grid again like before. Slowly his grids were expanding. His legs and arms grew longer and his claw turned into finger claws. His body grew into a human shape body and his tail is shortened. After the grids were expanded, metals starting to formed on legs, arm, torso, shoulder, and head like armor. The metal on the legs covered to knees, the arm part covered to elbow and slowly extended into a claw weapon. The metal on his torso were expanding to his back and then formed like a hexagon shield divided in half like a wing. And the metal on his head covered all of his head and formed like a Greymon's helmet. After everything is set in places, the remaining grids were filled with black data as his black scales. Adding the touch of dark silver and yellow color on his armor and the transformation is completed.

Everybody was surprised to see Al evolved into mega with a help of the Glitches. The worst part is that it was one of the Destinies old enemy and friend. Al slowly opened his eyes after the evolution and got curious of his new form. The Destinies saw that Al had two different set of eye, the left one is white and the right one is yellow. "Al, is that you?" ShadowWolf asked unintentionally to Al.

Al looked at him and back again at his own body. "Yes and no." he replied still looking at his body.

"What do you mean?" GreenGuilmonX asked.

"I am Al but I am also someone else." Al answered. He looked at his fallen friends Soul and Zero.

"If you are 'also' someone else then who is the other one?" Antylamon asked.

"I am BlackWarGreymon, nice to meet you. Now let's test the knowledge you obtained, being." Al replied or they thought he replied. "Alright, don't be such a pushover, BW." Al kneeled down right at Zero's side. He removed his weapon and starts concentrating his right hand. His hand starts to glow and try to reach Zero's unconcious body. When his claw almost reached to Zero's body, its starts degenerating. When he goes deeper, his arm slowly degenerates more as if he just reaches into an unknown portal. 'That is spooky.' Al commented in his thoughts.

Al started to scan Zero's body for the Glithces. "Well what do you know; he is the same as you. And what do we have here, A GigaSeadramon. He won't mind if we copy it after cleaning of the low life entities from him." BlackWarGreymon said using Al's voice. "Now begin the purification." Al heard it and starts working. Zero's body starts twitching telling him that the process has begun.

The Destinies and GreenGuilmonX saw what Al is doing and try to remain calm and yet suspicion at the same time. Angewomon slowly crept forward to him. "Al, what are you doing?" she asked.

"The being called Al is trying to heal him." BlackWarGreymon answered with Al's voice again. "He needs his concentration to maintain the process."

"Are you BlackWarGreymon?" Angewomon asked again still confused between Al and BlackWarGreymon.

"Are you deaf? He already told you before, that he is Al and he is also me, BlackWarGreymon." BlackWarGreymon replied.

"But which one, we can't just accept you if you are completely stranger to us, especially when we are in a danger situation like this." Angewomon fight back the argument.

BlackWarGreymon/Al smiled with her cautiousness. "Wise decision coming from the one who have been trained by the evil one, but still you had changed dear Angewomon. How is my old friend Agumon?"

"No one has ever known that much except..." Angewomon was shocked to see that BlackWarGreymon that kneeling beside Zero is the same from the one that sacrifice himself to seal the portal during the black tower incident. "BlackWarGreymon, are you the one that sacrifice himself to seal the portal?"

BlackWarGreymon smiled again. "I asked again, how is my old friend Agumon?"

"I don't believe it's you. How did you come back to life?"

"Parts of my data were scattered and got corrupted by those Glitches. I wander off and ended up inside him. I awoke when the other Destinies fixed and quarantine the Glithces which gave me enough power to eliminate it and obtain new power from it. This being was quite capable on using the power, although it was his first try." BlackWarGreymon explained while praising Al for his ability.

"If it is yours then why do you let me use it?" Al asked got distracted by BlackWarGreymon's story.

"I can't do it by myself because it meant to any targets besides itself." BlackWarGreymon replied with a smile.

"And that is why I'm able to change into different kind of evolution, because you hacked into my PC." Al continued the explanation. "Now I can do the same thing like you did to me." Al looked again at Zero for the process. "The Glitches is finished, now for the request." Al copied the GigaSeaDramon's data and uploaded to his PC. Al also intentionally uploads his evolution ability and his sight into Zero's PC. Al smiled for the jobs well done and pulled his arm out from Zero's body. When his arm was pulled, it soon rematerialized again and the portal closed.

Zero slowly opened his eyes feeling a little woozy from passing out couple of hours. "Feeling any better, Zero?" Al asked. GreenGuilmonX quickly walked closer to Zero.

"What the heck happened?" Zero asked vision still blurry. After his visions are focused, he quickly crawled backwards seeing unfamiliar faces crowding him and got bump into GreenGuilmonX. GreenGuilmonX quickly grabbed him and ease up his tense.

"Come now is that a way to treat your saviour?" BlackWarGreymon asked with Al's voice.

"What the heck happened?" Zero asked in trembling fear.

"Al saved your life by eliminating the virus inside you or at least that is what I thought." GreenGuilmonX answered. Al ignored them and helped Soul, the fallen Wormmon. Again he did the same procedure like Zero by concentrating and entered his arm inside Soul's body.

"Where is Al?" Zero asked finally calming down.

"Well you are looking at him." GreenGuilmonX answered while pointing at BlackWarGreymon's figure.

"THAT is Al? There is no way he is Al." Zero commented at Al's appearances.

"If that's the way of saying thanks, then I should knock you out again." BlackWarGreymon answered sarcassly using Al's voice. 'Black!' Al scolded at him in whisper. "There, I've increase his immunity against the Glitches. That way he won't get paralyze when the Glitches is coming." Al pulled his arm out and saw Soul opened his eyes. He wanted to hug him but he couldn't because he is a total stranger to him, unless he knew it was him.

As Al predicted, Soul crawled away when he saw BlackWarGreymon. Al lowered his head in depress and pick up his claw. "I guess that's everything." Al said it after seeing the situation inside the barrier. "What's left is outside."

Soul saw Antylamon and quickly rushed toward him completely terrified. Soul jumped into Antylamon's arm looking in fear. "Who is that scary Digimon, Antylamon?" He asked in trembled.

"That scary Digimon happens to be Al who evolves into mega virus BlackWarGreymon." Antylamon answered his question while calming him down. Soul quickly calmed down when he now knew that BlackWarGreymon is Al. Al slowly looked at Soul in order not to scare him. Soul saw his white eye and smiled happily, but when he saw the golden yellow eye he felt superiority and should be afraid or avoided.

BlackWarGreymon saw it and chuckled in amusement. "I guess he knew who he should be afraid of. Would you care to explain to him or I will?"BlackWarGreymon asked in whispers.

Al sigh and tell him that he will explained to Soul since he was still a child. Al explained again that he is himself and someone else again like before until he understood. Soul finally understood now that Al can evolve with the help of BlackWarGreymon that live inside of Al's body and with his power, he can healed him from paralisis. Soul jumped off from Antylamon and crawled back at Al. "Thank you, Al for saving my life from danger."

"Hey, I'll do anything to save lives, little bro. Sorry that I scared you with this looks." Al said it in comfort. "Now if you excuse us, we've got a rescue mission to do. You should stay here with Antylamon while some of us help others." Al walked toward to Zero and GreenGuilmonX. "You two can stay here if you want. I don't want anymore innocent lives in danger for this situation." Al looked at Angewomon. "Angewomon, heal the three of them and remain here." Al looked at ShadowWolf. "Yo Shadow, I got a small gift for you."

"Al, we wanted to help you." Zero asked an offer of service.

"You've helped me enough. This task is for my guild and my guild alone." Al rejected the offer.

"Then recruit us into your guild. As far as I can see, you need more help you could find." Zero stated.

Al stood halt after hearing the request from Zero. Al turned and glared at them. "You are seriously had no idea about the enemy we are up against and you want to join with all of us without knowing that?"

"Then enlighten us." Zero said in demand.

Al walked slowly toward them while explaining things that may force them to take it back. "Like your friend said, we are dealing against a deadly computer virus that came out of nowhere that capable of hurting the living being like us even though we are inside of this game. This virus has claimed victims not just us human but Digimon as well. Moreover, if you think that Digimon was just a giberish talk then you got it all wrong because they are real and you see them standing right in front of you. Furthermore, if you think that this is just a game then you are deadly wrong because two worlds are depending on us who knew about the Glithces and eliminate it. We did not need praises from anyone because we are anonymus; we are nobody since we are working with the Digimons because of the oath. So if you expect any praised or cheers, you could forget about joining with us."

All of them went silent after hearing what Al said to them about the reality of this game. Soul can feel the demonic aura from Al and he was afraid of it. An explosion sound coming from the area where the remaining teams are fighting telling Al that time is not on their side. "Time is short, what is your final answer?"

Both of them were stammered that they never seen Al's evil side. They looked at each other feeling scared for the situation they were given. GreenGuilmonX somehow got the courage and looked at Al. He cleared his throat and stated his answer. "Please, let me join the team. I want to protect those who I cared most."

Al slowly looked at Zero waiting for his answer. Zero was quite disbelief at what his friend said but if it is for the best he stated his answer with confident. "Please let me in also. I want power to protect the one I care."

This time Al asked giving them the chance to back away now. "Even it means by risking your lives?" Both of them had the urges to back away for a second but their hearts and minds are set to move forward. Both of them nodded accepting the risk they will have in the future. Al sighs in disappointment for their answers. "God I really hate humans, but it can't be helped." Al's evil aura is gone. He looked at ShadowWolf. "ShadowWolf, could you please stand besides GreenGuilmon for me?"

"Sure thing," ShadowWolf replied and walked toward them. "What do you intend to?"

Al removed his weapon again and concentrating his arms again. "I'm going to give both of you some upgrade like I did to Zero."

They slowly back away feel unsafe for his attemp. "Is it safe?"

"If it isn't, I wouldn't do that to Zero and Soul so you two got to trust me." Al answered while keep on concentrating. "All right, it is ready. Are you two ready?" Both of them nodded still feeling afraid.

"Here goes, DATA MANIPULATION!"
