A Romantic Night

This story follows 'A Day in the Stables' story, (but does not make it a series) that had many pets and mounts taking turns mating with Adahey and Mu'hati.

The day started out brisk and cold, colder then a normal day would. Adahey was out in the stables fixing things up from the night before. Mu'hati and himself had quite a lot of fun with all the mounts and pets who stayed within the stables, though some had to be left out of the fun, as there was just not enough room for all of them to be a part of it. Now all Ada wanted to do was spend some time with Menewa, after being shared with so many others and with him watching it all.

Mu'hati was staying home, relaxing today from the fun last night as well, but she also had the little one to watch over and feed, as she was unable to find someone to watch her. So today would be a date for Menewa and Adahey, if he could convince the big lug to come along. Though seeing what happened last night, convincing him might not be as hard as he would think. Since Menewa was not really one to share his mate, though he had too. He, like Adahey.. would still want time alone, to cuddle and spend time with him. To talk and just relax like Adahey and Mu'hati do all too often.

The bull walked around the compound after fixing the stables up, looking for Menewa. His mate could be found no where, not even in the springs behind the homestead. Ada wouldn't give up though, he wanted some time with his Mammoth and will get it. He popped in to see Hati, to ask her if she had seen where he went, luckily she had! It seemed he was off outside of the compound, as it was mating season for mammoths Even though he had Ada and Hati, they still allowed him to go out and breed, to give his seed and start new generations for as long as he is able. He was the biggest of the mammoths around this area, so allowing him to breed still was giving an extra chance for his kind to stick around with his strong genes.

Ada gathered up a couple of things for the road and headed out, bringing with him a basket for a picnic plus more. He had made enough for two meals, so they could have dinner together and spend the night somewhere. He had a few ideas for spots to do that, he hoped they would be good enough for his mate. Knowing the mammoth though, he would be happy with anything.

As Adahey headed towards the gate of the compound he looked back, just to make sure he had everything he needed, that's when he spotted Mu'hati and Aurora, waving to him from the door of the homestead, both smiling wide. Aurora had no idea what was going on, but Hati did. She was proud to call Adahey her mate, and soon.. life-mate and husband. She then did something strange and pointed, but not at him.. at the basket. Ada raised a brow and pointed back down to the basket, just to confirm that was what she was pointing at. Hati pointed again and nodded before he set it down to look inside.

There were blankets, food for at least four meals, wine, water, fruits and Pandaren candies.. plus some candies that Hati made herself. The basket was more packed then when Ada had first packed it. His smile grew wider as he closed the lid and picked it up, giving his life-mate a bow of his head. The trinkets on his antlers jingling around, making Aurora.. even in the distance, giggle. The great moose turned on his heel and finally headed out, he knew where he had to go, and who he was to find. They wouldn't stay in the Hills though, Adahey had other places on mind to go spend time with Menewa.

Adahey walked about an hour until he found where the mammoth had gone off too. Hati had told him that he was just outside of the compound, but his footsteps said otherwise. Ada had followed his steps through the forests of Grizzly Hills with its large tree's, dirt paths, and hollowed out tree bridges and walkways, to the darkness of Zul'Drak. He kept his gaze down as he walked, making sure he was still following the correct path. There were some other footsteps he found along the way, as it was mating season. All the mammoth were headed in the same direction, all of them looking for a mate to start a new family. He could have flown to find Menewa faster, but the steps would be harder to spot in the darkness and dankness that in the Troll and undead infested area, especially at the height that he usually flies.

It got better and more clear when the steps lead out and into the Storm Peaks, knowing how mammoths work.. he wouldn't of been able to get up any of the mountains, so would stay nearest the town that was there. He climbed a steep slope of mountain to get to the area he knew was a hot-spot for mammoth to be. He could see Crystalsong Forest from where he stood, the view got smaller and smaller as he climbed, his hooves being wide enough that he wouldn't fall into the snow, they acted as snowshoes for his huge size. It seemed that the same was for Menewa, his trailed went up this same way, and he barely fell into the deep snow as his feet kept him above it. When Adahey reached the top of the slope he looked around, holding his hand just above his eyes, even in the dark, the moon shining down on the snow was still bright with how while it was. Soon enough, the moose spotted the mammoth he had been searching for in the distance, trying to woo himself a female.

Adahey walked towards the two slowly and as quietly as he could before sitting himself down just a few feet away behind a snow mound, as to not disturb them, and watched Menewa do his work.

They were rumbling to one another, something that could be heard for miles to them, Adahey could only feel it within his feet and hear some sounds through his ears, but there was a deeper rumble that all of them could hear. It's as if he was claiming her as his own at this moment and telling all others that she had been taken. They did this for a good five minutes before the raised their trunks high, holding onto one another and locking eyes before moving as one. Then they parted. The female looked back at him, as if allowing him to mount, but as he tried..she moved away. She was testing him to see if he truly wanted to be her mate. Even that went on long, almost like a dance between the two before she finally submitted and let him mate. Mammoth are not really known to have just one mate, so it was curious that only one female was next to the great mammoth.

Adahey slumped behind the snow mound as Menewa finished his business. He would have watched the actual mating, but a part of him hurt, like he was being cheated on.. but he knew, just as Hati knew, that he needed to do this. He needed to keep his kind alive and with how strong Menewa was, he was the perfect male for the job.

While Adahey was lost in thought about Menewa, the mammoth himself walked towards the mound and stood above the moose, looking down at him with curious eyes. Even for a well hidden spot, nothing could hide from this bull, not even the bull moose. It was curious enough that Ada didn't pick up on the sounds of Menewa walking towards him, as walking in snow was anything but quiet. It seemed that Ada was distracted by something. Or, someone?

Menewa peeked over more, his trunk laying to the snow as he leaned over enough to watch what his mate was doing. There were sounds coming from him, odd sounds that he had only heard once before when Ada was mating with Mu'hati. Menewa couldn't figure out what it was, until he moved around the mound to look directly at his mate. What he saw, made him blush.

Adahey was stroking himself, and mumbling some strange words. Menewa looked back at the female he had just bred and thought, that maybe the act they just did, maybe.. Adahey wanted to be a part of it too? The mammoth just stood there and watched as Ada moved his hand faster and faster, his words were coming more clear now. He was picturing himself as the female below Menewa, as always. Saying that he would bear his calves and be there always. Ada was so zoned out, that Menewa was able to pick him up with his trunk and carry him off. He grabbed the basket after he had Ada settled within his tusks before finding a path up the mountain.

By the time Menewa got to the middle of the mountain, Adahey started to zone back into the world, having made a mess on the mammoth's face in the process. The moose looked up and blushed.

Menewa layed down and curled his trunk around, protecting his mate from the snow before motioning to the basket. It was slightly open and some of its contents were on the snow as well. Ada smiled and curled up to the Mammoth.

"I want to show you a good night, so tonight, no worrying about anything. Tonight is your night."
