Blood Tracks: Painful Memories

Trying to remember why I knew these people throughout the rest of the day didn't help, I just

ended up making my head hurt. There were images I couldn't understand going through my mind, I saw

what was presumably a younger Ray, I saw a human woman who's face looked similar to mine but older,

and Garm, he was in alot of them. I also saw what could only be myself as fully human, the features

were different in some ways but they were similar in alot of ways.

Shaking my head I got up and walked into the bathroom to take a shower to get rid of the sweat

from what Garm had me do, it wasn't very strenuous but for some reason being outside seemed to make me

sweat quite a bit, seeing the mirror I stopped dead in my tracks. I looked fully human, my nose was

normal, my second pair of ears and my tail were gone, looking at my nails I saw they were flat and

curved at the point rather than curling and naturally coming to a point. My eyes were a blue purple

instead of the orange red they had been, the pupils were a more oval shape than the horizontal slits

they had been before. Pulling my shirt up I saw the spots that had been across my stomach and back

were gone, looking at my legs I saw the same there.

Walking out to the bedstand I grabbed the radio and said "Garm or Ray, this is Sevei, get over

here."

Ten minutes later Ray walked in and I said "Why do I look human?"

"It's one of the gifts of the hybrid, we can fully shift human, access our chibi forms, and

some rare cases can go almost fully furry, you and I were never able to do the last but you were

always the best at going human."

"So you did know me." I said while glaring at him.

Leaning against the wall he looked at me and held up his left hand which had a ring on his

third finger, with a depressed look on his face he said "Yeah, I definately knew you, and I want to

again."

Realizing what it was I sat on the floor across the room from him and we were like that when

Garm walked in. Looking at Ray first he said "What happened?"

Pointing at me specifically with his left hand he said "Apparently a few of her memories are

back, by no means all of them judging from our conversation.."

Looking at me he realized I was fully human. Walking over he crouched in front of me and said

"Your eyes are unusual, but not massively, there are ways to get your eyes to look like that."

Looking at him I said "You're more than a commanding officer to me, I saw images of you in

casual clothes, it hurts to think about them, but I saw them."

Over the radio we heard "Sir, there is a problem."

Standing up he said "Ray, go take care of the logistics for getting research on restoring her

memories if possible, also I need you to check on what was to happen in 5 months. Verei I would like

you to follow me in case this base has been discovered, if it has I may need to..."

Interrupting him I said "The first thing I did when I woke from what they did to me is kill

the entire base, until I find whoever thought creating me was a good idea I will kill anyone who gets

in my way."

Unsure how to respond Garm motioned for me to follow him. Walking down the hall I grabbed 6

handguns on the way past several soldiers who weren't paying attention to me, just to the commander of

the base in front of me. As we approached the front of the base he said "you're very fast at that you

know, and when did you change back?"

Looking at my hands I saw they were back to their usual, perhaps even furrier than usual. "I'm

not sure, and thank you."

At the front of the base a young fox soldier saluted and said "Sir, we have 6 tanks, 8 troop cars, and 4

choppers."

"Who has a grenade?" I asked

Next to me a soldier pulled one and handed it to me. I said "Thanks", pulled the pin, and

threw it straight at one of the troop cars. Pulling out a pair of the hand guns I had taken on the way

here I shot the engines on the others while the front one blew up, the others blew up not long after.

The soldier who had first told us the situation asked "Sir, who is she?"

"REASON kidnapped her, experimented on her and erased her memories. Her name is Sevei, she

is..."

Not really wanting to know what he was going to say I stripped my boots off, braced in the

ground and launched myself forward with all of my strength. Landing from my first leap about 50 feet

in front of where I had been I practically flew forward on my padded feet, they gripped the ground and

helped propel me towards the first tank. Upon arriving there I grabbed the handle for the hatch and

sheered it off with pure momentum. Dropping into the tank I asked "Do you want to die or do as I say?"

As one of the men went for his handgun I drew mine and shot his off his hip. "You have 10

seconds before I kill you." I said right before I started counting.

After 10 seconds I started spinning the handguns and used them to smash the heads of all 4

members of the tank crew. Licking the blood off I remembered what happened when I quenched my thirst

on that scientist Ryan Sumner. Grabbing the body that was in aproximately the driver's seat I drank

deeply of him, feeling his memories flowing through me I remembered how much it hurt to access my own

memories. Ignoring that for the moment I realized his knowledge of this machine was incomplete, I

needed the knowledge the others had to opperate it, but once I did it the first time I shouldn't need

to do it again. Draining them I knew how to operate the tank.

"Sir, the first tank has stopped, is that really the girl I remember winning the military award for

improvising when she was only 11, your daughter."

Looking through a pair of binoculars I answered "Yes, they destroyed her, I'm only letting her do this

because doing this like this was her life for 4 years before she went undercover."

Firing the tank I had jacked at the next closest I then turned it and ran into the one on the other

side. Pulling myself out I dropped on the top of the tank I run into and shot the man that tried to

pull himself out the top. Grabbing a granade off his body before it fell I pulled the pin and dropped

it in. Jumping off I moved just in time to avoid being hit by a machine gun mounted on one of the

choppers. Exploding from inside the tank infront of me slightly bulged outward since it was built to

be fortified against attacks from the outside. Using the explosion to hide I switched to my human form

and moved so that it looked like I was running from the base.

Pulling himself out of the tank a human soldier said "Ma'am, where did you come from, we're

assualting a sub-human base."

Using the dus raised by the tank to begin crying I sobbed "They captured me, they did horrible

things to me, I can't remember my name." I wailed before collapsing to my knees. Listening I heard the

soldier get out while those inside radioed that there were prisoners inside and not to recklessly open

fire. Waiting for the soldier to get out I let him bring me back inside the tank.

"Ma'am, it will be alright, we'll save anyone else in there and get you out of here." the

first soldier said to me.

"But we already lost half out forces." one of the other soldiers said.

"Don't discourage her, she just got away from them." the first soldier said.

Dropping the human features I said "Yeah, and I don't intend to let you hurt my rescuers."

while shooting the others besides the first soldier who 'resuced' me. Looking at him I said "You can

either help me or be shot by me."

instead of answer for either of those he pulled his own gun and shot his foot. "I'll help you,

I just needed to make it look like you forced me."

Raising my eyebrow at him I shrugged and asked "Can you drive?"

"Some, not as well as the real driver there."

"I don't need you to be exceptional, I need the tank to take out those choppers."

Raising a salute he said "Yes ma'am." and sat down to drive while I loaded a shell and fired

at the first chopper. Turning the tank and getting it out of the way of another he said "This isn't

easy with a foot like this."

Loading the second shell I said "I don't understand why you did it before helping me,

certainly it proved that you were willing to help, but it wasn't necessary. My mother was human

afterall, I trust there are some humans who don't follow REASON."

Manuvering the tank some more he said "I hate that name, and I joined the military, I didn't

want to join these insane people."

Firing the second shell I got the third ready and fired. Looking around I realized I had shot

the other rounds. "We have a problem." I said while picking up a couple of them.

Looking back had an astonished expression on his face and then said "I'm not going to ask how

you can pick those up, I assume the problem is the bullet holes in them."

"Yeah, firing a gun inside a tank causes ricochets, I should have thought of that before

shooting the other crew members."

Setting a determined face on he said "Get out of the tank, there's one last thing I can do to

help you."

Grabbing his shoulder I said "You aren't going to do a kamikaze run just to help me, life

doesn't have to be that cruel."

"If it was found that I helped you, I'll be executed, besides, I shot the wrong part of my

foot, I'm bleeding out."

"How can you bleed out from shooting your foot, you don't even have any major arteries in your

foot." I said with a level look.

"It's possible if the bullet is hollowpoint and shatters so it cut's several minor veins."

Shrugging I said "I'm still not going to let you commit suicide, do you have a grenade?"

Tossing his over with the pin still in he said "What are you going to do with that?"

Jumping on top of the tank I said "Throw it." and I pulled the pin before launching it at the

last chopper.

Pulling himself up next to me the Soldier watched as the grenade blew up inside the chopper

which fell on one of the tanks. "How are you going to get rid of the last 2 tanks?" he asked while

looking at them.

Looking them over I said "I'm just curious why they haven't fired on us yet."

Thinking on it the soldier said "That is actually a good question."

Shrugging I grabbed the barrel of the tank and ripped it off. With how much it weighed it

actually did strain me but I started to spin and let go of it when it would hit one of the other

tanks. Launching myself forward I covered the 60 foot difference between the two tanks quickly.

Landing on the roof of the last tank I pulled open the hatch and dropped in.

"You're the last ones alive, surrender or die."

All of them drew their guns and I kept mine ready, but they put their guns to their heads and

fired. Walking back to the other tank I said "With the last one I didn't do anything, they prefered to

die than surrender." Grabbing and carrying the soldier I said on the way back "What's your name?"

"So they really did get rid of all your memories ma cherie, my name is Rayce, I knew you while

you went to the same school as me before I went into the military, I'm assuming they want you to gain

your memories back by reminding you of things in your past."

"Wait, so you knew who I was when I was acting earlier?"

"Yes, and I figured you would kill the others, you're one of the best improvising tacticians

I've ever seen, no one ever beat you in wargame tactics."

Getting back I helped him to the hospital area of the base, after getting directions to it. In

order to make sure no one hurt him I stayed around while they operated on his foot. Seeing a couple of wolf

soldiers coming around I said "I really don't think you want to try and hurt him."

"Actually ma'am we were ordered by the commander to take over for you because he wanted to

debrief you"

"Still not leaving."

Holding up a peice of paper with Garm's signature I said "You know, I'm still not military,

Garm can't order me around." So he handed me a radio. "Garm," I said over the radio, "Did you send

these stiff-necks to get me?"

"Yes, I did, now stop being stubborn and come here."

Sighing I gave him back the radio and asked where he was. The soldier gave me directions and I

left down the maze of halls to Garms Office. Upon arriving there I walked in and saw both him and Ray

standing there.

Speaking first Garm said "Before we get started please put all your guns on the desk, I know

you've taken several."

Sighing I took 2 from the front of my pant's waist, 2 from the back of my pant's waist, 1 from

each of my pockets, and 2 from my boots for 10 guns in total.

Raising his left eyebrow Ray said "Aren't you forgeting about a pair?"

Grabbing the pair I had stuck in the shoulder straps of my bra.

Shaking his head Garm said "You never did trust meetings, has that assualt helped you remember

any of your past?"

"What was deal with that Human knowing me, he said we went to school together, I thought

humans and hybrids or furries didn't get along, why would I have gone to the same school even if I can

shift human."

"It was your choice Sevei, to be honest we had other's who wanted to do it but you're the most

qualified and the most capable, we couldn't use you again probably since they're probably waiting for

you to show up agian."

Changing my form to human I darkened my skin and made my features closer to Ray's before

saying "I'm not sure I would help again, but I seem to be able to morph my features, it's somewhat

tiring but I can."

"I'm not surprised considering who you're related to." Garm said.

"Why don't you just tell her already Garm?"

Sighing he said "Do you wish to know who your parents are Sevei?"

Dropping back to my own form I twitched my ears and could feel my tail moving through the air

anxiously, "Yes, but I'm more interested in why you're in so many of the images in my head, I tried to

find out from them but it hurts."

"That would be because I raised you after REASON killed your mother for giving birth to you,

they tried to kill you too but you assumed your chibi form upon hearing the gunfire. I came back to

find the house trashed and you came out upon recognizing my scent."
