Yells of exertion and the splitting of wind filled the air with noise.

A lone tiger stood atop a hill with sakura trees all around him, a katana with a worn grip in both of his paws. The surface underneath was making his paws itch, small imperfect grooves irritated his fingers.

His anger tried to dominate the rest of his emotions, but that leads to mistakes. Logic tried to press down on the rest, but that leads to a reduced mindset. Passion is the way, but to remain level headed.

That was how he was taught all of those years ago, in the dojo his father basically threw him in.

Did all of the other swordsmen all around the world also follow these principles of combat? It would seem logical to think so, since those are core principles of combat, after all.

Cut after cut sliced through the air, the tiger envisioning himself in a duel. Cutting, parrying, dodging and resting, staring at the empty air in front of him as if his opponent was there in front of him.

His lungs burned from all of the exertion, like a small fire was lit inside of them. His arms ached from constantly tensing and relaxing, the surface of his paws becoming more and more calloused the more he held the grip of his katana.

After the sun began to touch the horizon, the tiger felt exhausted from all of that. He sheathed the katana and knelt, placing a paw onto the dirt in front of him so that he wouldn't completely fall over.

The wind began to pick up, blowing from his back to his front. All of the cherry blossoms from the sakura tree behind him also blew past him, creating a scene that a few would rarely see, with the blossoms dancing across the sun and lit up in a way that was just beautiful to him.

He stood and walked back down the hill, taking one last look at the scene before him, cementing it into his memory and finally walking away, the cherry blossoms still being wafted towards the setting sun.
