#5 of Counter Earth Chronicles: The Demon's Slave

Previously:

Flo and a minion fetched and returned the Shadow Chasers who were encased in stone to the dark overlord. While the demon's slave was confused about the purpose of her newest labor, it became all too clear for the leopard cat, sand cat and margay that they were the wolf demon's property and would be forever more, if not eternity....

Counter Earth Chronicles - The Demon's Slave

Interstitial 5: The Inevitable Conclusion

Flo's master, the dark wolf had been deliriously giddy as of late; he didn't seem to brood as much when he sat on his throne. He even had started treating her better- periodically Flo found herself on his lap being petted on her head, having her ass squeezed and fondled or a claw tip from the huge wolf's paw moving in and out of her sex. It all started when she and the fire cat brought the rock the Shadow Chasers were encased in back to him. Hmm...

Over what would be deemed the next few days from Flo's perspective, (if there were such a thing where she now resided.) the demon's slave found that she had been relieved of cleaning Torture Tower. He labors had been changed to product testing as if the dark overlord was preparing for something- something big.

Day: N/A (eternity)

"How does that feel slave?" Diamantopoulous said to the red orangutan as she bobbed up in down from her waist to her neck in a pool of clear liquid... something.

"Um, like it feels quite great don't cha know. Master, what is this stuff?"

"Something that is supposed to be quite painful to prisoners but apparently has no effect on mortals." The dark wolf said staring at a hideous monster next to him. This creature looked like horn of plenty to Flo in that it was short, hairy with short arms, big feet and a long, long tongue and big teeth.

"Um sorry sir, I am pretty sure it will meet its intended purpose when the time comes." The minion said.

"Make sure that it does. What else do you have?" The dark being said as Flo was levitated out of the liquid and back toward her master's side.

"Yes sir this way."

The two followed the minion to another torture room. As the three entered Flo observed that they were on one of the top floors of the tower- a large circular room with a large window looking out to the wilderness below. The room was comprised entirely of stone with racks and devices the creatures of this realm used to torture and punish spirits. Flo remembered cleaning them all during her labors.

She also saw a new item it looked like a lathe where someone was making a yellow and brown spotted sheet. Hmm... odd.

"So where is this latest contraption?" The dark wolf said.

"You are going to love this sir. It isn't a contraption per say." The minion said as the wolf demon stared at him. "It is the room!"

"Room?!" Diamantopoulous said skeptically.

"The room." The creature said pushing the naked orangutan slave girl toward it center.

"Eek!!!" Flo managed to scream out as she was lifted off of the floor by some unknown force and plastered on the yellow ceiling of the room like a spitball.

*splut*

Flo lay there spread eagle on the ceiling looking down at the overlord and his minion.

"How does it feel slave?" Her master called out to her.

"As if something is draining me; I feel weak." The red orangutan said.

"Vile- this one shows promise. I can't wait to see what it will do to sprits." The dark wolf said leaving the room with his minion.

"You won't have long to wait sir." The creature said to Flo's dark master.

There it was again! Diamantopoulous was preparing for something- something big; him and his minions. But what? When Flo had asked the wolf demon directly he was quite evasive. He was more fixated on some small black cube he was holding. When she asked him about that- he simply said that it was a new toy. Hmm...

The orangutan slave girl was brought back to the present by crying. No it was wailing. But wasn't she alone in the room? Carefully she scanned the instruments of torture. She didn't find anyone- but that was when her eyes moved back to the yellow and brown spotted sheet- since when do sheets cry?

"Um, is everything alright down there?" She asked.

"They are going to try that out on me next aren't they?" A female voice said crying.

Flo studied what she was looking at. That wasn't a sheet- it was a small ghost stretched like a saran wrap on the lathe.

"Um, not sure. By the way, that looks awfully uncomfortable." The she beast said looking down.

"It is." The little ghost said. "It is my punishment for being a horrible person when I was alive. What about you?"

"I am just the cleaning lady and product tester."

"You work for them?!" The little ghost asked.

Flo nodded. As she continued to stare at the stretched 'sheet'. She could just make out some eyes, nose and mouth.

"You don't appear to be at all like them. In fact you aren't... how is it that you aren't dead?"

"Like, it is a long story." The orangutan slave said.

"Oh so you are the one!"

"The one what?" Flo asked the little ghost who appeared to be a small oncilla.

"The mortal who forcibly entered this realm and made a deal with its overlord."

"Is it that obvious?"

"It is, you're naked and the dark wolf called you slave." The feline ghost said.

"Yuppers! That is me." Flo said as the adhesive failed and she fell from the ceiling landing own her chest. "OW!"

"So how long are you here for?" The ghost asked as the naked orangutan stood up.

"The rest of my life." The orangutan slave said as she moved toward the lathe. "You?"

"Eternity. However I think you have the better deal."

"I am sorry." The slave said to the feline spirit who appeared to the size of a domestic house cat, but with spots of a leopard.

"I was quite a awful person when I was alive."

"Really?" The naked slave said turning toward the little ghost cat.

"Well, aren't you a nosey one." The oncilla said. "Sorry, that is the attitude that got me here in the first place."

"Um like, how long have you been dead?" The slave girl asked.

"That is hard to tell because there is no way to tell time here. There is no morning, afternoon, night Monday, Tuesday, Friday or Saturday only now."

"I know it is quite disorientating." Flo said sitting down at the spirit stretching device the oncilla was attached to. "What was the last thing you remember?"

"It was the first week of December. The humans' protests were increasing through out the empire. Many were blaming the High Evolutionary as uncaring, cold and detached toward second class citizens."

"To a certain extent, they were right." The orangutan slave said.

"I didn't care. I despised humanity- the abusers of the planet. I lived in a small upscale neighborhood in World Two." The feline ghost said.

"What did you do for a living?"

"I was an appropriator- I acquired buildings for renovation to turn into upscale housing for the well-to-do." The little ghost replied.

"That doesn't sound so bad." Flo said non-judgmentally.

"It was, I got to forcibly evict tenants mostly the poor who were living in those buildings, their hallways and cellars. I took pride in pushing out riff-raff, destroying lives and separating families. Any opportunity to keep the filthy stinking humans away from first class citizens; you know to push them further toward the basement of the city where they belonged."

"I see." Flo concluded.

"Then came the second week of December there was some report on the hub about some sickness going around. I didn't pay too much attention because I was working through a backlog of projects. That morning I was in a neighborhood abutting the basement evicting a human family from their apartment home. The mother was pleading to me to let her and adolescent children stay. I started to tell her that the building had been bought, all leases were voided and that she would have to find some other place to live. Preferably away from us beastials. That was when I started to feel ill- very ill. I dropped to my paws and knees and started coughing up blood, then I vomited it."

"Far out." Flo said as she continued to listen to the oncilla's story.

"The woman and several of the building's tenants who I had just forcibly evicted, brought me to the hospital. Me, a beastial who despised humans! She ended up staying by my side."

"What happened?" Flo said as she studied the lathe.

"There was a pandemic that was spreading throughout the empire. I should have paid more attention and stayed home because I caught it. The healers said there was no known cure. I suffered congestion, coughing, sneezing, aches and high fever for three days and on the fourth I died arriving in this place between the realm of the living and the afterlife stuck because of who I was and how I treated others."

"Like, that is just far out. However, that doesn't mean you won't be allowed to move on once it has been determined that your penance has been served."

"You missed the eternity part orangutan."

"Flo Fuller actually, property of Diamantopoulous."

"Leopa." The oncilla said.

"Regardless, don't give up. It could always be worse."

"How?"

"I saw a bit of this realm before my servitude. Many of the other spirits here have seen far worse- being bathed in fire, magma and forced to worship the fire creatures of this realm. You on the other paw are just being stretched."

"I think that may happen to me next." Leopa said. "Hey, what are you doing?"

"Releasing you." Flo said pulling a level and reliving some of the tension on the spirit stretcher.

"Thanks, much appreciated." The oncilla said floating to the floor of the room.

As the oncilla returned to her ghostly form, her torturer entered the room- a hideous skull faced, four armed, four legged thing with a demonic grin on his face.

"SLAVE?" It hissed.

"Sorry sir, I needed to clean that device- um, like she was in the way."

"Ask for permission next time." It said.

"Yes sir." Flo responded.

"It was nice meeting you orangutan." The feline ghost said.

"Likewise, I am sure."

"I am ready to resume my penance." The oncilla said to her hideous tormentor.

"Session has ended for now." It hissed.

"Not that I am disappointed, but why?" Leopa asked.

The creature 'walked' over to the window to look out from the tower to the surrounding area.

Flo soon joined the being as did the feline ghost. The three witnessed a sheen of white approach the tower from the wilderness.

"What are those?" Flo started to say.

"More spirits. A lot more spirits." Leopa said. "Why so many?!"

"A devastating cataclysm has befallen the world of the living, many have perished. This is just the first wave of the dead." The creature hissed gleefully as he thought of all the new spirits he would soon be allowed to torture. "The boss has been looking forward to this moment for a long time and now it is finally here!"

Flo and Leopa stared at each other and then the wave of new spirits that had entered the realm wondering what exactly had happened.
