The Human Pup

A father runs through the halls of the ship, he was finding his wife and his baby boy. The ship just had an engine meltdown and now they were going to crash. As the head Mechanic, he should be trying to fix this mistake. But he couldn't, he knew, that he could only slow down the inventible crash. With that knowledge, he wanted to do his best to try, to keep his child alive.

He knew, that where the tracker was being held was the safest spot. If he takes the tracker out, the container would be large enough for the baby. Though, all the information about the crash could be lost with removing the tracker.

I grabbed my wife's hand, telling her that the ship is crashing into the planet. She was holding onto the baby. When, we reached the container for the tracker, I yanked out the tracker and place the baby inside.

(Hemlicher, After the crash)

I drove down to the southern plains, where a crash happened. I was tasked with, saving the humans and investigating the circumstances for the crash. The humans has been going through a lot of turmoil, and thus they had a lot of poorly made ships. Which, means that it could be caused by anything.

When I finely arrived, the camp was almost complete. I got to the group doing the meeting, though I was late it was just a typical meeting. Save the victims first, also a final warning on how ugly humans are, ie they don't have a tail or any fur.

After the briefings we, got to the wreck, where we fanned out looking for survivals. When I was in about the middle wreck, I heard some crying. After looking around, I found that the crying was coming from a black box. I opened the black box, and picked up the human pup that was inside.

I should take the pup to the medical tent, as standard policy states. When I arrived at the medical tent, I talked to the doctor. "I have found this human pup, I just want to make sure that it is healthy. Also, are there any good ways to tell the who pup's parents are?"

The doctor took the pup and looked over him. While saying, "I will take a look at it, but right now it seems healthy. I will also ask the few humans that survived, who the pup belongs to. Huh, the pup is a boy, well that is good to know."

The next day, after investigating the crash site. I decided to visit the medical tent, I have a soft spot for pups. When, I got to the tent the doctor was busy with some human.

I asked, "how is the pup?"

After about a minute he looked up at me and answered, "the pup is safe. The real question is, why you care?"

My tail stiffened up in frustration, while I answered, "I don't, these humans are blood suckers. They don't even have houses." A house for us, is your family and your extended family all living together.

He said, "I'm sure, that's why your tail gave you away. But, back on the subject of the pup. I found what earth does with pups, in his situation, they would take him to what's called an orphanage. So you can see the problem, we have nothing like it.

I answered, "so we're back at square one. There are only three options, one give him to a refugee couple, and let him suffer with them. The second idea, hand him over to earth, in which case, he will be trained to simply die in their pity wars."

Then he looked and responded, "neither option is good, especially since most of these humans are illegal and will be sent back to earth. Yet you said there is a third option."

I said, "your right option three, take him to a house and raise him as one of our own."
