The walk out of Jubilife City had been relatively quiet for Jake and Grovyle, chatting with one another as the scenery shifted back to the dense forest along with the paved road as it dropped away to the same mossy dirt. Even after a week in intensive care, Jake still had trouble walking without stumbling or even falling thanks to the incident.

The fight in the Poke Mart's basement had left Jake with nasty wounds on his right shoulder and his left leg that hadn't healed very well, along with a multitude of cuts on his arms that fared far better. His leg and shoulder were more of a bother than a hindrance, throbbing with pain every occasionally.

Despite the wounds he had received, Jake would have done it all again to help the Pichu trapped there. Although he had yet to let the spiky-eared Pichu out from her poke ball, Jake had taken the time to examine the Pokédex entry on her, noticing that, despite normally evolving into Pichu, the entry stated she was a fully evolved pokemon.

Cyndaquil was, surprisingly, well awake and trotting happily beside Jake and Grovyle, taking in the mountains to their right that towered over the treetops. After taking another short break from their walk, the trio reached a crossroads in the route, a wooden post planted in the center with signs pointing in each direction.

Jake dug through his pack until his hand came back with a folded map, unfurling on its own while Jake trailed their route with his finger to find where they were. It took a good minute before he eventually found the crossroad, surprisingly further up than Jake had expected. They were making good time to the next town. He marked the route with a black pen from his bag and glanced up at the signpost.

Taking a right would lead directly to Mt. Coronet itself, where the path cut through the large mountain to the mining city of Oreburgh. On the left path was a sign with red letters saying "WARNING: BRIDGE OUT", effectively barring any chance they could head into the port city of Canalave, narrowing down his choices to either Floaroma or Oreburgh.

Floaroma was, from what Jake heard, a lovely place right now, but didn't have much to offer in place of Oreburgh. Jake marked off Canalave with a red X, writing "Bridge" beneath it. He also marked the path he had traveled as well with a green pen, drawing arrows and dates next to the roads they had walked.

Once he finished writing on his map Jake folded it back up and slid it back into his satchel. When Jake looked up, Grovyle and Cyndaquil had wandered off somewhere. Jake glanced around, noticing Cyndaquil's fiery glow in the woods.

The two emerged from the trees, Grovyle holding what looked to be a Poké Ball in his hands.

"Where'd you find that, Grovyle?" Jake asked, taking the Poké Ball from him and turning it over in his hand. Grovyle pointed towards a break in the tree's, but Jake found nothing in the area when he looked, and instead examined the incredibly worn ball.

Nearly every surface of the Poké Ball had been worn down to its dull grey plastic, scuffed and scratched from who knows how long in the woods. What little paint that remained on the ball was a dark purple, with small traces of pink around two bulbous protrusions on top.

Jake didn't know many of the Poké Balls types and versions, especially not any purple ones. He tried the button with his thumb, but it hardly budged. The casing itself wasn't cracked or broken in any way, he would just have to find a way to open the ball sometime later. For now though, Jake would have to settle for leaving it in his satchel.

The three of them got back on the road shortly after a quick rest. In that time, Grovyle cut a thick branch and honed it smooth with his claws, making a decently crafted hiking stick for Jake to use. Cyndaquil had also decided to get some rest in her seldom used Poké Ball for the rest of the evening, leaving Grovyle and Jake to make small talk for a while.

"Grovyle, I've been kind of wondering. Has it been difficult getting used to your new body? I noticed you stumbling earlier." Jake asked. Grovyle knew he had a point, still acclimating with his newfound size. He had spent years as a Treecko, and with such a massive difference to his old life, Grovyle wasn't sure if he'd be able to pull off his old moves so easily.

"Grovyle" he replied, leaving Jake to determine the answer for himself.

"I haven't mentioned it, but you actually look pretty cool now." Jake said, beginning to backpedal as he realized that Grovyle might have taken it as an insult.

"N-not that you weren't already cool, it's just that you look, uh... fierce-er?" Grovyle's face turned a tint of red, covering his face with his hand. Jake chuckled in relief, giving Grovyle a reassuring pat on the head.

"Sorry, I didn't mean anything by it, just that you look a bit more intimidating is all." Grovyle opened its clawed hand, peering at Jake for a moment before lowering his hand to his side.

It took about three hours before Jake and Grovyle reached the base of the mountain range that cleaved the Sinnoh region in two with its gargantuan mountains. A staircase was cut into the mountain, zig-zagging its way up to a landing. Jake could make out a couple buildings at the top of the staircase, hoping that there would be a way through the mountainside.

Jake dreaded walking up the staircases, stopping halfway up when his leg threatened to give out underneath him. Grovyle shadowed his every step, poised to stop him in case he fell.

Jake met a pair of trainers that wanted to duel, giving him an excuse to sit down while Grovyle and Cyndaquil fought together. The pair of trainers both released their pokemon, two Zigzagoons emerging from their Poké Balls, ready to battle. Jake's only command was to "Stick together and fight however you want."

Grovyle and Cyndaquil made for a decent team, despite not being well coordinated with one another's attacks, easily defeating the two Zigzagoons with little issue. Once the battle had ended and Jake received the reward for the battle, he and Grovyle continued the grueling climb up the last few staircases up.

The two buildings Jake had seen from the bottom of the mountain was a rest stop for passing travelers, outfitted with a PC, healing station, and a small store with a few basic items in stock.

Jake purchased a couple snacks for his team and himself before returning his pokemon to heal them up at the station. While he was waiting for the machine to finish healing his team, Jake remembered he had yet to even let Pichu out of her ball.

When he had healed Grovyle and Cyndaquil, Jake walked out towards a bench to sit down and released the Pichu from the Poké Ball to greet her into the team. The mouse pokemon stood no taller than Cyndaquil, not counting the pair of ears that stood nearly double her own height.

Her short fur was a light yellow in color, with charcoal black patterns lining her body. When the light from the Poké Ball faded, the small pokemon rubbed her eyes to adjust to the light, until they came to rest at Jake, who waved to catch her attention

"Hi Pichu, good to meet you. I'm Jake." He extended his hard for her to shake, but Pichu flinched at his move, fear flashing in her small eyes. Jake retracted his hand, somewhat hurt that she was so afraid of him.

With some reassurance from Cyndaquil and Grovyle, Pichu shakily shook Jake's hand, which practically dwarfed her much smaller paw. As if sensing its opportunity, Jake's shoulder decided to flare up with seething pain. Jake tried to keep up appearance, hiding the pain as best he could until it settled.

Pichu was still scared of Jake, which meant he had to do everything he could to ease her worries.

"Hey, I want to say sorry for keeping you in your Poké Ball for so long, I wasn't sure what to say to you at the time, and I've been pretty busy for the last week with these cuts." Jake apologized, pulling back the sleeve on his right arm, revealing the bandages beneath. Pichu hesitantly walked up to Jake, placing her paws on his bandages and slowly rubbed them. Oddly, the pain Jake felt where she touched seemed to fade away for a moment.

The pokemon pulled back after a moment, tilting her head and giving a soft "Pichu?" as she eyed the bandages with curiosity. Jake pulled his sleeve back over the bandages and recited what had happened to him and how he obtained Pichu from the Poké Mart clerk. Grovyle and Cyndaquil were playing nearby, chasing each other or playfully fighting.

As Jake recited Grovyle's evolving during the battle the grass-type took a moment to strike a pose when the Pichu looked towards him, flexing his arms and generally trying to look as tough as possible, before continuing his mock battle with Cyndaquil.

Jake finished the story with his recovery from his wounds while at the city Pokémon Center and their departure from the city shortly after. During the story the Pichu had scooted herself closer, her caution thrown to the wind for the time being.

After finishing his long-winded story, Jake turned to watch the rest of Grovyle and Cyndaquil's battle, which had become a show similar to the pokemon contests Jake had seen his mother perform in when he was young.

Cyndaquil's back had become a roaring inferno, far stronger than Jake had ever seen. Fire curled upwards, massing into a swirling ball of red. Grovyle wasn't willing to be outmatched by her show of power, a sea of leaves massing around him. Both pokemon seemed to glow with power, their body's giving off a white hue that shined bright as they stared one another down.

Cyndaquil's flame pillar slowly tapered, her miniature sun churning like water high above her. The burning orb seemed to shrink for a moment before it ruptured into a grand explosion, flames sprouting to form a sleek body with two large wings sprouting from the resulting boom, wind billowing with every beat of its wings. Grovyle's leaves took up their own form as well, churning closer and closer around the grass-type.

Grovyle couldn't be seen in the twisting leaves, until every leaf seemed to split into pieces all at once. The show both pokemon were putting on had drawn many of the workers and trainers to their contest, cheering them on.

Grovyle's leaves suddenly slowed to a stop in their flurry of movement, merging together. The resulting leaves 'stood' up, a roughly humanoid form that's skin slowly began to shift again emerging. Cyndaquil and Grovyle glared at each other, sizing up the results of their efforts.

Cyndaquil's phoenix moved first, pressing its wings to its body in a steep dive, angled directly at Grovyle's leafy creation with fiery claws outstretched. The mesh of leaves reacted in kind, lifting its clawed hand towards the approaching phoenix.

The leafy monster's hand shot free from its hand, claws outstretched to rake against Cyndaquil's fire bird's side, embers trailing behind it as the green claw took a clump of flames with it.

The bird dove onwards, seemingly unshaken by the attack, trailing fire from its 'wound' that died in the air. The phoenix crashed into the leaf guardian head on, sending burning leaves spiraling away from the battling beasts as each attempted to reduce the other into dust. The two shredded one another with what remained of their forms, until only a cloud of fire and leaves raged against one another.

Grovyle and Cyndaquil had eked closer to their writhing mass of red and green, fueling the battle by adding more flames and leaves to enter the chaos. After nearly a minute of battle between grass and fire, an explosion encompassed the battling elements. Embers and burning leaves rained down over Cyndaquil and Grovyle, panting heavily as the glow that surrounded them dissipated.

The crowd cheered and clapped at the pokemon as the last of the fires snuffed themselves out. Triumphant, Cyndaquil and Grovyle walked back to Jake and Pichu, smiling wide.

"That was amazing guys! When did you learn to do that?" Jake asked ecstatically. They both gave a shrug, trying to explain the odd sense of power they had felt. Sadly, Jake could hardly keep up with them both talking away, settling for a "it just happened" as the final answer.

Once they finished trying to explain what they did, Pichu nervously walked up to Cyndaquil and began to talk with her. Jake and Grovyle left the two to chat, and went to sit back on their bench, and were promptly swamped by several trainers and workers asking to battle them. Jake weighed his options for a while, and decided to get Cyndaquil's opinion before saying yes to any of them.

"Hey Cyndaquil, you were amazing in that battle and a couple people want to battle you two. Are you feeling up to a little more tag teaming?" Cyndaquil put a paw to her chin in thought, then nodded her head. Jake ruffled her fur a bit, then walked back to the crowd of challengers to decide who would get to go first.

With Jake, Grovyle, and Cyndaquil preoccupied with fighting the trainers, Pichu hopped onto the bench Jake had set his stuff by, and laid down to look up at the sky. A small twinkling noise caused her ears to twitch in response, and her head shot up as she searched for the noise. Directly behind Pichu was a pokemon hovering in the air, a faint trail of sparkling dust emanating from its bug-like wings.

Celebi kept behind Pichu's head when she turned, remaining out of sight and giggling maniacally.

The noise gave her away though, as Pichu wheeled around and tackled Celebi to the ground playfully. Celebi yelped at the sudden attack, and both went tumbling into the dirt. When Celebi had recovered, Pichu had her small arms wrapped around her waist in a tight hug, rubbing her face against Celebi's head. Celebi giggled even louder, happy that she had found her long lost friend. The two remained bound together for a while, simply enjoying each other's company, until Celebi slowly peeled Pichu off her and spoke up.

"It has been too long, friend. But how is it you appear now, after so long from my sight? I've searched wherever I could to find you, but only now could I track you to this place" Celebi's mouth didn't move, opting to speak telepathically rather than normally, the words echoing within Pichu's mind.

Pichu's head lowered, eyes welling with tears that spilled down her cheeks. "I have been suffering." Pichu said mournfully, looking up pleadingly at Celebi, fur around her eyes soaked with tears. Celebi hugged her tightly, glancing into her memories.

She saw the day Pichu had met her to the day they had met the famous trainer Ash Ketchum, but every memory beyond she couldn't glimpse into, only able to see fragments of moments in those many years.

Shifting faces, a cage, and a tag dangling in front of Pichu's face. Tormented and used, left to rot in a Poké Ball for the rest of her days. The last of the memories were even hazier and harder to see: The moon far above, her yellow paws stained red. Fire, death, and sorrow unlike anything Celebi had felt before.

"I am sorry, friend. You have undertaken great pain, and I was not there to help you in your most desperate times, and for that I can never apologize enough. But know that you have met someone whom shall bring you join once more."

Celebi gestured to Jake, who was battling a pair of trainers where Cyndaquil and Grovyle had performed their battle. Cyndaquil and Grovyle were mixing their attacks together against the opponents pokemon, knocking each out with newfound precision.

Pichu dried her eyes with the fur on her arms, watching the battle for a moment before turning back to Celebi. "He has good within his heart, and he shall extend his love to you, if you will only let it in." Celebi released her from the hug, hovering in the air slightly above the ground. Nobody had noticed them yet, and Celebi made sure to stay well out of the sight of anyone who may look their way.

"How can you be so sure?" Pichu said, knowing what could happen if she grew attached to Jake. "Don't you remember? I can see our futures, and it is glowing brightly with joy and happiness within his, you need only join him to see that light for yourself." Celebi rose higher into the air, waving at Pichu before diving down into the forest below.

Pichu didn't want her friend to leave so soon, but knew what would happen if she was spotted. She walked back towards Jake, who was taking a break between the battles. Three trainers were asking to fight him, but without a third pokemon he could only fight two at one time. Pichu pulled at his pants when she was close enough, beating one of her paws against her chest and giving a confident "Pichu!". Jake looked down at her, smirking when he finally understood what she was saying. Pichu was ready to battle and prove her merit, solving the three-trainer problem in the process.

"Thanks Pichu, once our break is over we'll begin the battle." Jake waved the three trainers off while he called over Cyndaquil and Grovyle. Once all three pokemon were in front of him, Jake explained that they were going against three opponents this time, and that Pichu would be joining the fight.

Cyndaquil eyed Pichu skeptically, unsure if she could even fight, when Pichu shot a glance at her, giving a reassuring grin. The four went over a strategy on fighting three opponents at once, deciding on separating the enemy and battling them separately. The battle started shortly after they made up a game plan, Jake made sure to fully heal Cyndaquil and Grovyle at the nearby healing station before continuing.

A couple people laughed at the Pichu for entering the battle, but fell silent when Grovyle glared at them. The three trainers released their pokemon; a Dewott, Dugtrio, and Noivern appearing in front of Jake's team. Both side's pokemon eyed each other, picking who they wished to strike at first. Grovyle set his eyes on the larger pokemon Noivern, Cyndaquil chose Dugtrio, and Pichu picked Dewott.

Noivern made the first move, taking to the air with a flap of her wings, opening her mouth to reveal a growing teal ball of energy, and fired it directly at Pichu, aiming for the supposedly weakest link. Grovyle stepped in front of Pichu to defend her, but she had disappeared before he could even take a step in front of her.

Turning his head from where she had been back to the Dragon Pulse, he saw the small mouse reappear directly in front of the projectile. Her tail was a shiny metal grey, and she whipped it against the Dragon Pulse, sending it flying back at the flying Noivern.

The flying pokemon wasn't expecting its own attack to come right back, and barely had enough time to screech in surprise as the ball connected with her head, exploding as it smashed into her cheek. Smoke curled around the pokémon's head as it fell to the ground, momentarily stunned.

With her stunning display of speed, Grovyle and Cyndaquil's concerns about Pichu's battling skills were dashed away with one move. Cyndaquil quickly used Inferno on the distracted Dugtrio, who was peering at the still smoking Noivern, igniting the pokemon in a blazing inferno.

Dugtrio waved around frantically in surprise, Dewott spraying him with a Water Gun to douse the flames. Once the fire was out the Dugtrio burrowed into the ground, splitting the ground as it burrowed its way towards Cyndaquil, the ground cracking and splintering above it.

Dewott readied another Water Gun to blast away Cyndaquil while she was occupied with the Dugtrio when Pichu tackled him in the side, knocking him away. Dewott turned his attention to the small mouse, spewing water from his mouth at her in return.

Meanwhile, the Noivern had recovered from her own attack, her right eye swollen shut from her own attack. Grovyle positioned himself in front of her, siphoning the pokémon's strength from her body with Mega Drain.

She backpedaled until she was out of Grovyle's Mega Drain range, and hissed at him and flapping her wings as fast as she could, creating a Hurricane attack that spun towards Grovyle. His long leaves on his arms glowed white as he whipped his arms around, white slashes flying forward to halt the attack in its tracks.

Noivern had taken again to the air, launching several Dragon Pulses in quick succession. Each shot was weaker than the last, but each were just as deadly if any were to land a hit. Grovyle jumped into the air, letting the orbs of energy explode on the ground where he once stood. One turquoise ball curved towards him before it hit the ground, connecting with his side and exploding.

Grovyle was flung from the attack, burn marks scorched onto his side as he flew towards Pichu and Dewott. Pichu was in the middle of sending volts of lightning at the Dewott, narrowly dodging each bolt that struck around him. Grovyle slammed against Pichu mid-attack, the attack shocking him as both of them were knocked to the ground.

Small bands of Electricity emanated from Grovyle as he and Pichu scrambled to their feet. Dewott and Noivern converged together, aiming a wave of Dragon Pulses and jets of water at the stationary pokemon. Grovyle pushed Pichu behind him, his skin shining a silvery-white as the attacks impacted against him.

Explosions and sprays of water pushed Grovyle back, clawed feet dug into the ground and pulling up the rocky soil. Once the barrage had ended, Grovyle was covered in cuts and scuffs all along his body, but otherwise in good condition.

Dewott and Noivern were stunned that their combined attacks had done so little, and Pichu used this moment of confusion to send a wave of lightning to them. The area around the Dewott was soaked from his water attacks, and having sprayed Noivern quite a bit in their combined attack.

Electricity coursed through the water, discharge sparking across it's muddy surface. Noivern attempted to fly upwards, away from the water, but instead frantically flapped her wings and knocked Dewott in the back of the head, sending him face first into the puddles of water that began to surge with electricity.

The attack hit both panicked pokemon, causing each to scream out in pain from the electricity that coursed through their bodies with nearly doubled power. Dewott's skin was burnt to a smokey grey, and he fell unconscious back into the electrified puddle after giving one last attempt to stand. Noivern thrashed from the pain that continued to shock her, managing to drag herself away from the electrified water.

Cyndaquil's battle with the Dugtrio had devolved into a game of pseudo Whack-a-Mole, sending bursts of Embers at the Dugtrio as it popped in and out of holes around her. Frustrated, Cyndaquil's back roared to life, releasing a column of flames at the Dugtrio until they stayed in the ground.

Cyndaquil whipped around for any sign of the irritating pokemon, spotting not one, but three trails of cracking dirt closing in around her. She chose the closest one to her, leaping above the uprooted earth. One of the Digletts popped his head out of the ground, unaware of the furious fire-type above him. Cyndaquil rewarded his obliviousness by raining down a burst of Embers directly onto the pokemon.

The Diglett had a second to look up in horror before he was peppered with red-hot bullets, crumpling back into his hole in defeat. The other two Digletts kept burrowing towards Cyndaquil, vulnerable as she tried to change her trajectory.

The remaining two Digletts popped up from the ground as Cyndaquil landed between them, spitting giant wads of mud at her. Both shots landed, splattering against her side

The Mud Bomb's a moment later, a black cloud engulfing Cyndaquil in the explosion. She flew out from the resulting cloud a moment later, trailing smoke as she was catapulted towards her teammates.

Grovyle caught her in his hands, looking at her burnt fur. Most of it was a soot black in color, and a large chunk of fur was missing, exposing the fleshy pink skin beneath. While Grovyle was preoccupied with Cyndaquil, Noivern took the opportunity to screech loudly before diving towards Pichu. Noivern had shaken off the effects of Pichu's Thunder Shock, her skin singed and burnt in random spots all along her body.

Her dive bomb was cut short as Pichu released a Thunderbolt at her, the attack connecting before Noivern could even attempt to dodge the bolt of lightning. Noivern skidded to a halt in front of Pichu, static bouncing across her body in tiny arcs, unconscious.

Cyndaquil had also fallen unconscious from her wounds, lying next to Pichu as Grovyle stormed over to the Dugtrio.

The third Diglett had recovered from the attack Cyndaquil had inflicted upon him, and was laughing heartily after taking down only one of their enemies. The Dugtrio, noticing Grovyle's menacing walk towards them, burrowed once more to repeat their strategy on the tall Grass-type.

Grovyle simply sat in the middle of the trap they put into effect, converging on him. All three stuck their heads out to fire a hail of Mud Bombs, balls of mud spinning towards him. Grovyle hardly moved as the bullets approached him, until a wave of leaves swarmed around him, blocking the bombs as they exploded on his shield.

As the last of the Mud Bombs detonated, Grovyle's leaves left his side to converge on the Dugtrio, who quickly ducked back into the safety of their hidey holes. The leaves, instead of missing the Digletts, turned and dove into the holes after them. The Digletts dug wildly, trying to escape the sharp leaves that chased after them in their hastily made tunnels.

The ground around Grovyle cracked and began to crumble, weakened by the panicked Dugtrio as they tried to escape from their leafy pursuers. Grovyle jumped backwards as the ground around him caved in. The Dugtrio were all poking out of a tunnel, slumped over with hundreds of small cuts lining their clay brown body.

With the battle over, Jake quickly returned his team and got them back into the rest stop to heal. The other trainers did likewise, returning them to their Poké Balls before handing over the prize money to Jake.

After all the battles were finished, of which Jake and his team won most of them, they finally entered the mines that connected the outpost to the city Oreburgh. The only light came from a series of electric lamps that hung off wooden posts that supported the entrance and much of the tunnel ahead. The tunnel opened to a massive cavern, dimly lit still by the same lanterns.

Cyndaquil shuffled a bit in Jake's hood, still sore after the battle and being healed at the healing station, placing her head on his uninjured shoulder to look at the cave ahead. A waterfall poured water far below the rocky walkways into the dark unknown.

An occasional Zubat swung into the view before flying back into the dark ceiling, emitting a echoing screech as it flew. Pichu had taken up residence where Grovyle had once stayed in Jake's jacket, swinging slightly in the pocket with every step Jake made.

A couple trainers who fought Jake earlier greeted him and let him pass. A couple Zubats dived to attempt a battle with him, but were put down by Grovyle in just a few short attacks. A couple trainers asked to battle, but were no match against Grovyle or Pichu, a reminder to Jake to see what moves she knew.

The list was far longer than he had expected, the mouse pokemon had what Jake could only guess was every move a Pichu could know and then some. Besides the occasional pokemon or trainer battle, the walk through the cavern was rather peaceful, although short lived as the exit came into sight after the fourth rocky staircase Jake and Grovyle climbed.

The sky was a dark orange and the sun was already well over the horizon. The city of Oreburgh stood out among the dark mountainside. Oreburgh, carved into the side of the mountain range as a mining outpost long ago to mine and collect the rich deposits of coal that resided deep within the mountains, was practically a giant lightbulb against the otherwise dark hillside.

Nowadays the city provided most of the power in Sinnoh with its deep reserves of coal, and housed the first gym most trainers want to, including Jake. The trail down to the city snaked downwards to a plateau that served as the town entrance, which meant more walking for Jake and Grovyle.

The path down was lined with rails, a modest improvement to the other side of the mountain. Oreburgh held a few similarities to Jubilife, with a few tall buildings dotted across the city. The rest of the buildings were relatively small in comparison to the taller ones, but many were still several stories tall.

The same mix of concrete grey and clay bricks made up most of the buildings, but towards the center of town Jake could make out what he assumed to be a shopping strip that glowed with a spectrum of lights in the otherwise dim white city.

A quarry was stationed in the back, lit by untold numbers of floodlights as behemoth digging machines carved away at the mountainside. Jake and Grovyle made their way down the winding slope down to the town, avoiding the edges in case they crumbled beneath their feet, and reached a similar checkpoint they had entered to Jubilife, but instead was colored a dark brown rather than red.

Inside was a map to the city, which Jake took just to be safe. The city was cut and divided into districts, the outer areas were comprised of industry, the inner city used as residential, and the center a series of commercial stores and companies, or, at least that's what the map seemed to indicate.

Jake and Grovyle exited the outpost directly into one of the commercial streets, the buildings painted a series of extravagant colors to catch any tourist's eye. One of the stores caught Grovyle's attention, a pokemon accessory store with wide glass windows displaying the hot new trends.

"Grovyle!" He said, pointing into the store at something that caught his eye. Jake pushed open the glass door and entered the shop to see what Grovyle had picked out. The store was perfumed with the smell of incense, forcing a sneeze from Pichu and Cyndaquil.

Grovyle, seemingly oblivious to the strong scent, half-walked and half-ran towards the back of the store where a rack of scarves were displayed with a variety of patterns and colors. Grovyle picked up a scarf shaped like. Pichu climbed out of her 'seat' to find something she would like as well, leaving Jake to look for both him and Cyndaquil.

Most of the outfits set on display in the store were for some of the smaller pokemon in the region, with a few oversized versions to fit much larger ones. Jake found Pichu by the rack of scarves beside Grovyle in search of one that wasn't twice her size.

"Guess we're gonna be wearing scarfs now, huh?" Jake said, turning to Grovyle, who was examining himself in the mirror from various angles. Jake shrugged, and went examined the many scarves on display. He found a shorter scarf the same color as Cyndaquil's fur, and a longer red one for himself.

He had to spend a few more minutes looking for one that was flame-resistant, and eventually found one, although it was probably a size too big for Cyndaquil, hopefully she would grow into it. Piling everyone's scarfs onto the counter, Jake pulled out his wallet and paid for the clothing with a small portion of the earnings they had made at the mine entrance.

Jake handed them back to Pichu and Grovyle, putting his and Cyndaquil's away for when she woke up, and left the store. The sun had completely disappeared behind the horizon, and the street lamps bathed the road in a pasty white light. Jake navigated his way to the closest hotel, a grueling walk towards the center of town where most were situated.

The hotel was one of the few ten story buildings in Oreburgh, lit by white lights that hung from the buildings walls to tower brightly against the black night. The lobby was fairly empty, and a couple clerks sat at a large oak desk chatting to each other. They cut their conversation off once they noticed Jake had entered, one turning to a computer to type something while the other waited patiently for Jake to approach.

"Hi, and welcome to the Diamond of Oreburgh, how can I help you today?" The clerk said, putting as much pep into her voice as possible.

"Yea, I need a room for the night, two beds." Jake pulled out his wallet while the clerk flipped through a booklet to find a room for them.

After he paid for the night, she handed him a small card and told him where their room for the night was, all the way up to the eighth floor. By now exhaustion from walking all day had found its way to Jake, along with the slowly creeping pain in his shoulder. Still, he found the strength to walk to the elevator, up to the 8th floor, and walk the halls until they found their room.

Jake slid the keycard into the digital lock on the door, pushing it open when he heard a metallic click inside the door. The room was colored a darker shade of red than the in the hallways with the same dark grey carpet. Two beds sat against the far wall an inch apart with a nightstand filling the gap between, thick red blankets lying flat against the mattress.

A wide TV sat on a table against the wall opposite the beds, as well as several other commodities objects found in a hotel strewn about the room. Pichu jumped from Jake's pocket onto the bed, bouncing up and down while giving a joyful "Pichu!" with each hop. Cyndaquil woke up, shaking her head to rouse the sleep from her head. Jake set her down on the bed next to Pichu, who began to play atop the soft mattress.

Grovyle helped Jake take off his backpack and jacket, mindful of his shoulder. The backpack had been digging into his shoulder ever since they set out from Jubilife, and to have the heavy bag off his shoulders, especially his right one, was a massive relief. Jake asked Grovyle to come help him, and walked into the bathroom to examine his shoulder.

Grovyle followed in, rifling through his pack until he found the medical kit. Once Jake had sat down onto the toilet seat lid, Grovyle gently took his shirt off, eliciting a quiet hiss of pain as the shirt that had stuck to his shoulder from sweat pulled at the wound slightly.

Even after a week to heal, Jake's shoulder had yet to fully recover, and would have to be bandaged in case it began to bleed. But before that, Jake wanted nothing more than to have a nice shower to wash away the day's grime from his body. Without any warning, Jake began to undo his pants and strip down.

Grovyle's eyes went wide as Jake, lost in thought, began to remove his clothing. Grovyle quickly turned away, blushing heavily until curiosity got the better of him. "Just one peek couldn't hurt" he thought, turning to him as Jake slid down his boxers.

The first thing Grovyle noticed was his perfectly round butt, which Grovyle had looked at on several occasions during their long walks together. Grovyle stared at him for a moment longer, when his eyes wandered even further to see his balls dangling below, clearly within view. Grovyle tore his vision away as he felt his own malehood begin to poke out, a small pink tip protruding slightly from his slit.

Jake, still oblivious to Grovyle's gawking, turned a knob behind the shower curtain and let the water heat up, a thick mist of water slowly filling the room. Jake stepped into the shower, the feeling of warm water washing his skin clean almost heavenly.

He grabbed a bar of soap and began lathering his body, trying to reach around his back with his left hand. Grovyle peeked inside, watching Jake for a moment before reaching for his hand to assist him. Jake jumped slightly, remembering that Grovyle was still in the bathroom, but was forced to relax when his shoulder flared up.

"H-hey there G-Grovyle... Sorry I, um, kinda forgot you were in here. D-do you think you could h-help me? I kind of..." His voice trailed off for a moment "N-need you to wash my back." Jake's cheeks had grown a shade of red as he said probably the most cliché line in a porno.

Grovyle hesitantly stepped inside the shower, making sure to hide his somewhat protruding erection from Jake, and started rubbing the bar of soap into Jake's back. Grovyle's hands could hardly hold the slippery bar, dropping it as he tried to lather his trainers back, getting an up close view of his junk as he stooped down to pick the soap off the tub floor. Grovyle handed the slippery bar, now sporting a few claw marks dug into it, back to Jake, both parties clearly flustered

Jake's malehood had also gained some girth when Grovyle rubbed the bar of soap against his back, dirty thoughts perverting his mind. "Gro?" Grovyle said, asking Jake to return the favor. Jake, after a moment's hesitation, ran the soapy bar across the grass-type's slender body, rubbing off any grime that stuck to the pokémon's green scales.

Grovyle cooed in pleasure, enjoying the pressure applied to his worn-out muscles, his half-erect dong poking further from his slit. Jake smiled, his blush fading slightly at Grovyle's joy over the soapy massage, when he noticed a trace of pink between Grovyle's legs.

Tilting his head a bit to see what was there, Jake's blush returned even darker than before, almost the same color as the crimson hallways they had walked through to their room as he realized Grovyle was enjoying his labors a bit more than he thought.

"H-hey uh, Grovyle? You seem to be, eh, enjoying this a bit much, ain't 'cha?" Grovyle tensed, realizing all too late that his erection may have been a bit obvious once he had turned around. Grovyle began speaking the same phrase again, apologizing frantically with his hands tucked between his legs to hide his shame.

A long-lost fantasy resurfaced in Jake's mind, all the more tempting as he looked at the pokemon, and decided to see where it would take him, pushing aside his shyness and grabbed Grovyle pulling him into a kiss. Grovyle expected anything besides what Jake did, and was taken aback as Jake gave him a long and passionate kiss. Once the two pulled away, Grovyle's hands slowly drifted away from his groin, giving Jake full view of his cock.

Grovyle's member was rather long, easily bigger than Jake's by an inch, and had an unusual shape to it. The base was extremely thick, a line of small frills that went up halfway along the sides of the pink shaft. Towards the top it tapered off to an almost smooth tip, with another small set of frills at the tip.

As Jake examined Grovyle's cock, the rest of it slowly slipped out of the pokémon's slit, where Jake noticed the thick base was more of a knot, but smoother and extended further up than ones he knew of. Jake slowly reached out his hand, taking the bobbing member into his hands and slowly stroking it, causing Grovyle to moan in pleasure.

He began with a slow pace, slowly speeding up and slowing down as he felt Grovyle's member pulse in his hands. Jake's cock had also hardened fully after examining the pokemon, bobbing slightly with Jake's every move. After a minute of teasing Grovyle with his stroking, Jake stooped his head down to swallow half of the pokémon's length into his mouth.

The taste was surprisingly sweet, which pressed Jake to slide his head further down Grovyle's dick, who was doing his best to rein in his animalistic desire to pump into Jake's mouth furiously. Jake could only reach halfway down before his cock poked the back of his throat, instead pulling back and plunging back again, rubbing his tongue along Grovyle's frills whenever possible.

Grovyle couldn't stop his hips from thrusting entirely, instead gently trusting in time with Jake's bobbing, relishing in the waves of ecstasy that coursed through him. Grovyle's moans became louder as he thrust harder into Jake's mouth, poking into his throat and sending shivers up and down his back.

Jake noticed Grovyle's thrusting become ragged and stronger, holding back a gag as he took more and more of the pink rod into his mouth. Grovyle tensed up with one final thrust, pushing the remainder of his cock past Jake's lips, giving a low groan as his seed poured into Jake.

Jake continued to lick at Grovyle's member as it dispensed its load into his stomach, pulling back slightly to let the remaining cum to spray into his mouth and over his tongue. The pokémon's cum had the same sweet taste as before, only twice as potent and with a small hint of saltiness that Jake had initially expected.

Jake cleaned off Grovyle's cock with his tongue, lapping up any jizz from his shaft, enticing another fit of moans from the pokemon. Jake's erection stood at attention, and Grovyle intended to return Jake's favor in kind.

Grovyle ducked underneath Jake, licking at his each of his balls before taking his length into his mouth. Stroking at the solid organ with his tongue, Grovyle coated Jake's cock in his saliva before letting it slide out of his mouth with a satisfying pop.

He turned around, laying onto the pearly tub floor and raised his rear to Jake, offering himself to Jake. Jake pulled closer to the presenting pokemon, rubbing his cock between the pokémon's plump rear and grinding against his puckered anus.

Angling his member just right, Jake slowly pressed his head against Grovyle's rosebud, spreading his anus wide as he slowly sank into the grass-types enticing rear. Grovyle's walls pressed against Jake, massaging him as he slowly began to thrust deeper within the pokemon.

The two moaned as they fell into a quick rhythm of thrusts against one another. Jake tapped Grovyle on the shoulder, turning his head to bring t into another kiss, tongues intertwining together. Jake broke it as he thrusted harder and quicker into Grovyle's rear, balls slapping against Grovyle's hardening erection, which Jake reached for and began to stroke as he neared his climax.

Grovyle cried out, spraying another load of seed into the tub to mix with the water at the bottom. Jake covered his mouth before he gave his own loud moan a moment later, spraying his load into the pokemon as he hilted himself with one final thrust.

Grovyle felt his trainer's seed pouring into him with each passing moment, clenching against him as the two slowly laid down onto the ceramic floor, Jake's member still deeply rooted within Grovyle's rear.

Once the afterglow of their climaxes dissipated, Jake slowly slid his cock from Grovyle's hole, seed seeping from his orifice. The two slowly rose back up together, cleaning one another with the bar of soap they had broken in their intimacy.

Once they were properly cleaned, Jake and Grovyle toweled off, sharing another kiss before exiting the bathroom. Pichu and Cyndaquil had fallen asleep in what looked to be a pillow fort, one side already fallen over.

Grovyle and Jake silently tip-toed over to their bed, pulling back the blanket to snuggle together as they fell asleep.
