Chapter 6 part 3: The Regret.

Dragare POV

Silence, sweet merciful silence! At last I finally have it! Weeks of whimpering and pleading with me to let him go, and now, as we go through Customs on the border of the city of Braggshire does the Whelp FINALLY listen! At first, I had thought Ishon had finally broke his training and just choked out Bloodpaw, but no, it was just the realization finally setting in that he was capture, powerless, and soon to be considered little more than property. Knowing the King and his Tshalt, he might end up considered even less than that. I do not envy him in the slightest, nor do I pity him, for what he had tried to do to my Beloved Ishon.

"Good Haul, Master Hunter! I am glad to see your latest Hunt was successful, although I do wish you could have slain the pitiful creature instead of trying to force it's servitude. I daresay that it will never be safe to be around, unlike your perfect little pet. I must say that, with no offense intended, I am rather surprised you are risking your pet's life, leaving it contained in the same cage as that Beast." the Inspector says as he looks over my cargo on the wagon.

"The Beast cannot do anything between the Enchanted Collar and the several bindings I have on him. Is everything in order? I don't want to keep the High King waiting too much longer, as I am sure his Scouts have sent word of my arrival." I say calmly, eyeing the gate.

"Yeah, it's all good. Thank you for letting us inspect your cargo, Master Hunter." he says, motioning for the gate to be opened.

I smile and head on in, navigating the labyrinth like city market until I reach the bridge to the Castle Grounds. Once inside, I stash my wagon, and horses, at a stable that was always on reserve for me.

As I walked around the wagon, and approached the slave-hold, Bloodpaw started whining again. "Please! Please Master Hunter! Don't take me to HIM! Look, I-uh, ah! I'll be your loyal servant! I will be good and serve under you if that will keep me from his clutches!"

I smack his feet as I help Ishon out, and growl "the ONLY servant I have need of is right here! Ishon is the only one I want to keep, and its an insult to the both of us to assume I would be okay with taking the likes of you on as a slave. Besides, keeping you from the High King would be committing Treason and giving up Ishon. Now shut up, and get out here, on your knees like the dog you are!"

While Bloodpaw was whimpering, Ishon had slid out and started helping me pull the panicking fox out while undoing most of the bindings.

Once he was out, shaking in fear and crying, Ishon helped him into the proper pose that was expected of any slave when at rest and low to the ground, while I fastened the lead to his collar and motioned for the door to be opened.

As soon as I started to take off, Ishon quickly showed Bloodpaw how to move properly, and trotted up to walk alongside me, slowing back every so often to correct Bloodpaw's motions, but never uttering a word.

Bloodpaw, meanwhile, was constantly whining and whimpering, occasionally asking why he had to walk like he was, for the most part I ignored him, however I did jerk his lead when he was being too noisy, and that would shut him up for a short while.

A Knight of Valor and his Hound met us at the entrance to the dungeon, and lead us to the meeting room where Seirkaru and the Thief King were waiting, both seated at the head of the table.

"Good Job, Dragare. I daresay that I actually thought you might have decided to make a run for it, or worse, join that pitiful being's Order. I am glad to see that I was wrong. That is a most wonderfully pleasing way to be made a fool of. Now, as for you, Bloodpaw. Or should I call you by the name you once preferred?" the High King says with a smirk as he gets up off the chair and walks around to the now actively trying to escape captive. I handed the chain to Seirkaru as he came up alongside me and stepped back to watch whatever was going to happen.

Seirkaru dragged Bloodpaw over to the table and both Seirkaru and the Thief King picked Bloodpaw up and slammed him down on the table, spilling the wine that they both had been drinking.

"Tell me, pet. Would you like your Masters to call you by that cutesy name?" the Thief King and Seirkaru say in unison, starting to act completely as one in their movements, stripping Bloodpaw of the remaining clothes before strapping him down to the table.

"I hate that name! You know it you stupid fucker!" Bloodpaw screams, thrashing an unexpected amount for what Seirkaru and the King were doing.

"Amytryst, Amytryst, Amytryst, you know better than to address me like that." Seirkaru and the King say in unison as they each twist one of his nipples and dig their claws into his stomach.

"FUCK YOU! I hate you most of all, Seirkaru! Even more than my fucking stupid name!" Bloodpaw says as he tries to use his magic, only to have the collar short his magic out and burn him with magical feedback.

"I am glad that being separated for so long made you forget your Manners, my Pet. I'm almost grateful enough for that, that had I not already consumed her, I would have made your little girlfriend into a pet and your Mistress. But, she freed you, and managed to hide you from me long enough that you regained your powers. So she had to die. Guard! Take your Hound and leave! Hunter! Take your Hound and sit at the other end of the table!" the High King barks out.

I comply, with Ishon obediently crawling to my feet, and sitting in proper position. Admittedly, I was having a hard time watching the events, but even now I felt that I was outmatched by the Thief King and Seirkaru both.

"Watch and learn, Master Hunter. I want this wretch's mistakes to be a lesson for you, and for your Pet. First thing is first, Punishment for his foul mouth and his disrespect." the Theif King says, smirking as Seirkaru moves out of the way and starts heating up the furnace.

"Amy, and that IS the name you will respond to from now on, you have committed several breaches of not only Public Slave Law, but also of my own personal orders. You know both sets of rules, and I am happy I get to make you relearn them again if you have forgotten them. First, you dared to address me by my name. If you remember, I ordered you to ONLY Call me Master!" the Thief King says as he punches Bloodpaw in the gut. "Second, you failed to answer my question appropriately. When I ask you a question, I want a simple answer that fulfills what I asked. Not to mention that you are forbidden from referring to yourself as a gendered person." he growls as he punches again.

"Thirdly you disrespected me by swearing at me and trying to hurt me." he smiles wickedly before punching Bloodpaw straight on in the balls.

I have never heard a sound that shrill before, but suffice to say, I now did feel some pity for the poor beast.

"Now, what does a slave say to his owner for embarrassing him in the presence of his friends?" the Thief King snarls at Bloodpaw.

Bloodpaw was sobbing but tried his best to raise his head enough to look at both me and the Theif King and sobs out "S-slave Amy is sorry that it embarrassed it's Master by misbehaving. S-slave Amy would like to ask both Master and Master's Friends for the opportunity to apologize!"

"Granted, you still remember how to do this, right pet?" the Thief King says as he moves Bloodpaw to the floor.

"Yes Master, Amy remembers. Amy doesn't like it, but Amy did it so much that the memory of how to do it is forever burned into Amy's mind." Bloodpaw says, looking like he was on the edge of puking as he was laid on the floor.

"Sir Hunter, as my guest, I must ask if you are willing to let my slave apologize for its misbehavior. Just in case you aren't familiar with how I prefer slaves to apologize, I prefer them to lick either your foot or footwear to your satisfaction. If they stop for any reason prior to you telling them to stop, then I don't count it as an honest apology. Will you allow Amy to apologize?" the Thief King says as he turns to me.

I nod and say "Yes, my Lord. I shall allow your slave to do so." and wiggle my left foot as Ishon was sitting on the right one.

Bloodpaw looks nauseous as he crawls over and licks the stable muck and grime off of my boot. Once the Theif King looked like he thought it was long enough, I said "Apology accepted, little slave. Now go apologize to your Master."

The Theif King stomped his foot and said "Not yet, Amy. Apologize to the Hunter's Hound first!"

Ishon looked up to me and I nodded my head and he shoved his bare foot out at Bloodpaw's muzzle.

Bloodpaw whined a little, but stuck his tongue back out and licked it till the Thief King said "That should do. Now you can come apologize to me."

Bloodpaw shambled back to the Thief King and slobbered heavily over both of his boots until he was just picked up and laid back down on the table, on his back again.

"Time for the Branding. I hate that your old one vanished when you got your powers back. Good thing they are gone again now. It means I can savor the appearance of my mark on that lovely stomach of yours all I want now." the Thief King says as Seirkaru brings a rather large custom brand over and, with help from me and the King, brands Bloodpaw.

The scream was actually worse than the one he let when the King busted his balls. For once, I found myself regretting what was being done to a Abomination. I could tell that this was just a small taste of what was to come, and what, apparently once was for the poor beast.

I half wondered what his story was, but I decided I'd rather get as far away from the King and his Pet as I could.

"Sir Hunter, with this, your contract is complete. Ishon is yours, and you will have your money in your account soon enough. You are no longer obligated to do any jobs I post, though I will reward you the best of my abilities if you accept them. Now go, I want to have some fun with my pet before I introduce him to the world." the Thief King says as he waves me out.

Ishon follows after me as I leave, both of us able to hear Bloodpaw's screams and sobs echoing, even once we were in my stable.

The screams faded, eventually, from my mind as well as from the castle, but the regret for what evil I was allowing to go on, in the name of my own selfish desires, that never went away. I still carry this now, even as we each share our stories of that time.

It is a Regret I must bear the weight of alone. Alone, only because I do not wish to burden my Pet with any more than I have already caused him to bear.
