On One Knee (A poem for Nick by Finn)

When I'm with him I feel like I'm flying,
Nothing can stop me and I'm invincible,
Nobody can keep us apart,
Despite all the negative voices that I am forced to hear,
I'll always love my husky.
They call us sinners and faggots,
I think it's love,
I try not to listen,
I find myself breaking down when I'm with him sometimes,
Interrupting our nightly activities.
Still when I look into his blue eyes,
I fall in love all over again,
All the pain washes away,
As I hold my lover close to my chest,
Our hearts beating as one.
I've waited to long to ask him,
The question we've both been waiting to hear,
So one night when we're out,
Eating a meal together,
I decide to ask.
My paw slides into my coat pocket,
It wraps around a small package,
A package smaller than my paw,
I get on one knee and look Nick in the eyes,
"Will you marry me?"
