A Fighting Chance
This is nearing the end
Nike has been going through the forest everyday to find someone to help them but he always came up emptied handed. When he returned to the gym he saw Derek walking in circles and Comet slowly working out. "What are you guys doing?!" They turned to look at him "Getting stronger and faster" Comet said continuing his work as Derek shrugged. "I couldn't tell you I just felt like walking so here we are" Nike sat down "He was very strong and I can't find anyone else to do anything so we may need to out number him for answers" Comet stopped and looked at him. "The same guy who said violence wasn't the answer wants to beat them down"
Nike sighed "Nevermind that it seems like I was wrong, okay?" Comet shook his head "I could have easily beaten him if he didn't use protect" Derek shook his head. "No it would not I know because no matter what I did it barely did anything" Comet grunted as Nike stood up. "If we train hard enough maybe we can beat him" Derek laughed. "I don't think any of us can do anything Comet has type advantage over both of you not to mention that pokesona thing gives him more attacks you wouldn't last long against that" Nike looked at him. "Not doing anything isn't helping either" Derek shrugged. "Count me out" Comet looked at him "I thought you wanted your sentence shorten" Derek sighed. "Good point let's go train" they leave the gym to go train in the forest.
A Alolan Raichu was on his tail surfing through the air in the forest "This is fun! I'm so glad I got to leave" he notices three pokemon fighting and he came speeding in. Comet notices him and they stop, the Alolan Raichu got off his tail. "My name is Ethan! Who are you guys?" They introduce themselves. "Have you seen some Mew anywhere?" Nike said going up to him and Ethan shrugged. "Mew's are rare never met one before in my life" Nike looked to the side then back at him. "He is causing issues for the city and I want to know if you will help us" Ethan looked at him. "Are you high?! Mew's are extremely strong and due to their strong connection to god himself no chance in hell without it being a four on one"
Nike sighed "Whatever just helps us If two of us can't do it then three won't be any better" Ethan looked at him skeptically. "Then what makes you think four will do any better?" Nike looks at him. "Because it is more than three" Ethan shrugs. "Good point" Derek chuckled "this will be interesting" Nike got in front of Derek. "We will be practicing first" Derek shook his head. "I may be able to move but battling is something different" Comet poked Nike. "fight me I'm not willing to lose to that Mew very easily" Derek went next to Ethan. "Nike is one of the strongest water types I know, Same with Comet, being one of the strongest bug types in the city"
Ethan looked at him "Are they really that strong?" Derek nodded. "Yeah I'm pretty sure" Ethan didn't know what to think of Derek but he just looked forward and saw those two fight. Nike was standing on the water as Comet was flying above it, causing ripples to form. "Let's go!" Comet said prepared to fight. "Water Shuriken" Nike pulled one out and threw it. Comet tried holding onto it then threw it back, Nike jumped over it then came running over to him, "Comet punch!" Comet's hands glowed as he quickly punched Nike back, Nike fell into the water, he then jumped up and landed back on the water. "Shadow Sneak" he disappeared as Comet looked around Nike punched upward knocking Comet into the air. "Waterfall!" he goes over Comet and he gets covered in water striking him into the water.
Comet got out then started flying again as Nike stood on the water again. "Sunny day!" the sun grew hotter, Ethan used his tail as shade, Comet looked at Nike. "Alright let's go you frog!" Nike looked at him. "Insults don't go far" Comet nodded "Yes it does" Nike shook his head "no it do-" he went up to him "Mach punch!" He punched Nike back and he recovered. "Supersonic!" his eyes glowed as Nike stared got started stumbling. "SOLARBEAM!" it struck down onto Nike as he also woke up. "Focus" Comet focused intensely as Nike slowly began to recover. "PUNCH!" he threw the hard hitting punch at Nike's face. Nike recovered quickly "Dark pulse" Comet was knocked back. "Night slash!" He knocked Comet into the tree. "SHINY POWER!" Comet turned from red to gold.
"Silver wind!" it hit Nike back "Solarbeam!" it struck Nike "Swords dance!" he set up then glared at him. He came speeding at him. "DRAIN PUNCH!" It pushed Nike back in a explosion. Nike stood up and looked at him. "SHINY POWER!" he turned from blue to black. "Double team!" clones surrounded Comet. "Giga impact!" he smacked into Comet as he stopped himself from hitting the tree. They both speed at each other "ACROBATICS!" they said in unison attacking each other in rapid succession. They did one final rush, Comet held his fist forward and Nike held a fist pointing down. Both powered down as Nike fell into the water and Comet held his stomach raising his fist into the air.
"I-i did it" Derek clapped and laugh as Ethan looked at them very confused. Nike pulled himself out of the water and laid on the ground, Comet sat next to him, Ethan and Derek followed suit. The moon started to rise and they looked at it. Nike held his hand up and so did the rest. "As of tonight we train to fight the mysterious Mew and take him down" Nike said as the rest nodded. Ethan started to think 'This might be more interesting then I give them credit for' they all returned into the city as they entered the empty gym, Nike opened up to a bed like area. "We will need to upgrade this place soon if we plan on doing this."
Nike laid inside his tank relaxing in it, Derek laid on the ground, it didn't bother him he didn't have a spine to begin with, Comet landed on the bed and Ethan laid down on the other side. "Nike do you mind?" Ethen asked looking at Nike. He shook his head as he fell asleep. Derek shook Ethan awake and he teleported them back to the forest. "Ethan Let's fight when they aren't here" Ethan looked at him confused. "Why?" Derek shrugged. "I assumed non ghost types like yourself suffer from peer pressure" Ethan thought about it then thought back to the village as a Pichu in the playground. Pikachu's pressured him and he just ended up crying.
Ethan shook his head "let's just go" Ethan got on his tail and started going over "thunder punch!" Derek looked at him "Sucker punch!" he punched him first then dodged the Thunder punch. They kept fighting all night as Nike and Comet got up noticing they were gone. "Uh? Where did they go Nike?" he shook his head. "Don't ask me I don't know" Nike and Comet left the gym and noticed Derek was dragging Ethan in the shadows. "I decided to fight Ethan and he lost" Nike sighed. "Okay then let's go wait for him to recover" Nike started to head back but Comet looked at Ethan he seemed to be completely out cold and he thought 'Did Ethan throw the match? And wait while fighting that Mew' he has a flashback.
""Ethan!" he summoned the alolan raichu again. "Thunder!" Comet barely dodged again. "Swords dance!" Comet powered up again." He shook his head 'he must be hiding something' Comet followed them as they went inside the gym and waited for Ethan to wake up. Nike and Derek passed out in the process however Comet just stared at Ethan as he woke up and looked a Comet. "Hey what ha-" Comet glared at him. "I know you are working for the Mew you were one of his pokesona's!" Ethan smirked. "I guess there is no tricking you" Ethan shifted into the mysterious Mew "I am not the real Ethan I replaced Ethan when Derek wasn't looking" Comet was prepared to fight. "I'm afraid if we fight here we will run the risk if waking them up.
The Mew teleported them to a strange area above the sky. "Now Comet the Ledian let's see what the strongest bug type can do!" Ethan opened the door and noticed the portal. "That bastard" he jumped into it as it closed. "Alright Mew let's get this done" Comet held his fists up as the Mew looked at him "Rain dance!" Nike and Derek woke up from the sudden rain and saw them fighting, Derek stopped Nike. "Let Comet handle this we will step in if we need too" Nike looked at him, he sighed then nodded looking forward. "Comet punch!" Comet missed "Mega punch!" The Mew punched Comet from behind. "Come on the strongest bug type should be able to handle this" Comet came in fast "Bug bite!" Comet bit the Mew "Flame wheel!" he started to spin and burst on fire which made Comet stop his attack.
