#3 of The Peace and Choas

It has been a week since Lak has arrived, and everyday he would do nothing but sit in his cell and watch the guards as they watched him, but when they switched with Crystal he would remove his hood and talk to her. She would start asking him questions about his village or anything about him really, and he would answer her back.

"When did you come up with the idea of coming here?" She asked.

"Shortly after I saw the newly finished blade, and what it could do." He answered back in a shallow voice. "I've been answering your questions, would it be ok if I asked one?" She just nodded and he sighed. "What am I going to do? It's been a week now, and I would like to know." He looked up from to floor to see her. He was expecting her to be thinking, but he just hope that she wouldn't be.

"I'm not too sure. I guess we just have to wait." She answered back and she looked up at him. "Oh I almost forgot. How's the wound?" She asked as she saw the area around his left eye.

"Its better, thanks to those herbs you got for me before." She smiled as he rubbed over his new found scar.

"May I ask one more question from you Lak?" She said out of nowhere and he nodded.

"Do you know what happened to...?" She never finished her question as she saw two guards walking down the hall. Lak just flipped up his hood on and watched as the guards talk with Crystal. It wasn't too long before they left and Crystal looked worried, but she slipped on a smile and looked towards Lak, yet he could still see the worried look in her eyes.

"I'm guessing I am getting out of here." She shook her head.

"No, the guards were telling me that the main shower room, the one the criminals use, is open and will be clear for about an hour so you can have enough time to go and get washed off." She said looking at him.

"Then what was with the worried look?" He asked and she looked down blushing.

"The room has windows and they said I have to stay in there to make sure you don't run. There are no curtains, just a shelf thing that will block me from seeing from the low torso down." She said continuing her look down, and blushing even more. Here he knew why she was worried.

"Oh. When shall we go?" She didn't answer, just stood up and walked towards the door. She unlocked the door and moved to the side, allowing him to walk out.

They slowly made their way down the hall, both never taking a look at the other. Crystal because she felt embarrassed about the whole shower thing, and Lak because he kept his head down so incase anyone who didn't know he was there wouldn't be able to see his face. It took a bit longer to reach the main shower room as this was more where all the other dragons who were placed in the dungeon, but it was no problem as none of them noticed Lak, but they did notice Crystal.

"Whoa men look at this fine piece of meat, I would love to tap that sweet" One of the prisoners said but he never finished his sentence as Lak turned and looked at him. The instant Lak looked at the prisoner he froze with fear and backed up into his cell. Crystal saw this and was both amazed and shocked that Lak could do that from just looking at the other dragon.

"How did you do that?" She whispered to Lak.

"It not in the skill but in the appearance, they might think I'm a guard or a really bad criminal, but that is all they will know." He replied back as kept following her.

It wasn't long after that when they reached the shower room where no guards or criminals were in sight. "Ok, here it is Lak. Let's hurry up and get out of here. This wing of the prison freaks me out." He didn't reply as he walked in, and made his way behind the counter. Crystal looked away as Lak removed his clothing and threw it towards her. She looked up to see from only his lower torso up, covered in water. "Get good and clean for after this you will have a meeting." Crystal told him while looking away.

"A meeting to see what will happen now?" He asked.

"Yeah, we're going to see what's happening next." She replied back.

"With whom, may I ask?" He asked again.

"You will be meeting with the Master Elder. He will determine if you have gain privilege to live in our village." She replied back again. Lak only continued bathing while Crystal waited. Only the sound of water running was to be heard, but that stopped when Crystal spoke up.

"How is the eye, it isn't bothering you with the water right?"

"It's fine." Lak replied back as he turned around showing her the scar, but not only that one. Crystal saw not one but many scares along his well toned body.

"What happened?!" Crystal asked surprised."You're covered in wounds!" She stood up and walked a bit closer, but not too closely.

"Not wounds...Scares from all my punishments." Crystal shot back with shock.

"You got all those for punishment?! What did you do to deserve this?!" She asked as she felt over some of the scars across his torso.

"I tried to help stop this war, to save both yours and my kind." Crystal looked with widened eyes at him.

"You took all this punishment, just to help our kind?" She asked surprised.

"It is better for me to be harmed for what I've done then for others to die for what I haven't done." Crystal looked shock at him.

"He would die just to stop this fight between our kinds. He isn't like what I thought most black scales to be." She thought to herself. "Why did you decide to help us?" She asked.

"I see no reason for anyone to die for this nonsense. If some people where to start thinking instead of instantly reacting this would never have to happen. Things would be normal and..." He started to trail off as his mind went somewhere else.

"And what else Lak? What else would happen besides things being normal? She asked seeing as he was trailing off.

"My family would be here with me. Alive and well with none of this stuff happening." Crystal went wide eyed for a second before she realized what he was saying.

"I'm sorry; I didn't mean to bring up any painful feelings or memories." She said.

"Don't be. None of this is your fault." He replied back.

"Then who's do you think it is?" She asked with curiosity.

"I know who, and you know too. It happened a long time ago." He replied back as he twisted the shower heads off.

"I think I know who you are talking about." At that moment the shower room doors opened up.
