Hard Trainer
Comet the Ledian! You don't see these very often!
The Ledian entered the gym very excited, he has been training hard for be the best bug pokemon in the world. "Alright day 255!" he spent a few hours around the gym using every machine but, during one of his routines. "Hey, you Comet" he turned to see the owner, A Greninja named Nike. "You have been here for a long time" he nodded flying up face to face. "Yep I plan to be the best and strongest bug pokemon in the world! And I'm not ever giving up!" Nike nodded and handed him a paper "That is the contract for the back room you need to sign it to access it"
He took it and started reading it, although something made him skeptical 'the sauna has been upgrade to calm you more but telling anyone who can't access the room will get you banned from the gym' when he was about to ask about it Nike had left. He signed it then turned it in. When he approached the door, Nike opened "Hello Comet go inside" Comet went inside thinking 'I'm going to avoid the sauna I don't trust it' he went over to the machines and they were much different and fewer people were here but most of them had some type of VR on them. He turns to look at Nike "Can you explain what they are looking at?"
He looked back at him "I thought about and Hypnosis seemed to help calm people so they are being hypnotized for a set amount of time then when it ends they will wake up" Comet looked at him gasping. "Is that even legal?!" Nike shrugs. "I can't imagine it being against the law if it isn't hurting them" Comet sighs starting to use the machines as Nike left. Another pokemon that isn't using the VR looked at the bug type. "What is a bug type like you doing in here?" He looked up and saw Derek. "It's Derek!" he laughed. "Don't be worried I changed" he sat next to him. "I'm back here working for Nike because I won't be able to leave jail unless I do"
Comet looked at him skeptical "Are you sure?" he nods "Of course My job is to make sure no one is breaking the machines and in case we have no VR's I do it" He backs away. "Back away!" he shrugged. "Okay then" Comet saw the time and he left and was flying down the street thinking. 'What is Nike doing? I just have to know if it is legal' he went back into his apartment and looked at the paper left on his door. 'Today is the last day of cheap stacks today!' he put it on his desk and he sat down. "I will go in a few minutes..." he passes out then wakes up hours later "huh?..." he looked at the clock and he had only one hour. "Damn it I feel asleep"
He started speeding through the streets on the way to the store "I'm fast for a reason. I don't give up easily. Once I'm the best and strongest bug type our typing will not ever be seen as weak" he started grabbing things he wanted, bought it, and went home. When he got in Derek was sitting in a chair. "Oh hello Comet!" he looked at him. "THIS IS AN INVASION OF PRIVACY!" Derek chuckled. "Nike works for the police and he told me and them to see what you do and they just don't want me doing illegal things" Comet sighed and he started putting things away. Derek turned on the TV and started watching, Comet noticed this and started talking "You shouldn't be acting like you are a guest even if you do have permission to break in with the cops I'm reporting this when it is all said and done" Derek smirked. "Don't think they didn't prepare I was told to remove this from your memory after my week is done" he dropped the bag. "What?..." he slouched in the chair. "Yeah I was told to direct orders from them and I do want to leave so I need to do so" Comet flew out the window and started speeding the the sheriff's department.
He slammed the door open "LET ME TALK TO THE SHERIFF!" he came. "Who is-" Comet went up to him "Remove Derek from my house! Now!" the Machamp shook his head "No we need to know what you are doing" he grunted "then don't make him erase my memory" he shook his head. "We won't risk you spreading this information" Comet punched him so hard he got knocked down and he flew away. He landed in his bed and started sleeping he had a really good dream of winning the "strongest pokemon" award in the olympics. He smiled and Derek saw this chuckling. "Tomorrow Derek~" he woke up, got dressed, and went back to the gym he saw Nike and started talking. "Take Derek away!" Nike shook his head. "Sheriff's orders"
He grunts and starts working out and then notices a pokemon in a cloak and he went over to Comet and hands him a letter. He opens it and it said 'You are one of the strongest Bug types I know I want you to meet me here in the private area' -Mysterious Mew He looked up and it was gone. "Mysterious Mew?" Derek heard him and went over. "Who?" Comet looks at him "I got a note from someone named Mysterious Mew" Derek thought about it then brought Nike over explaining the situation. "Hmm this Mew seems to target very strong pokemon. This is concerning" Comet just kept going. "We need to trap him" Nike said looking at Derek. "Mew's can just teleport we need to beat him down if we want answers" Comet said looking up at them.
"I don't think violence will do anything" Nike said leaving as Derek kept watching Comet working out the entire day. He went home and this went on for a while it was the last day until Comet noticed Derek wasn't there "He must be hiding" he starts looking around and he never found him "This isn't funny Derek" There was a note that he picked up. "If you want Derek back you must win the tournament" he see's the invitation in the letter. He then looked at the fighting arena and he flew over and signed up.
The creature with the cloak appeared in front of him "It's you!" it nodded and shows Derek barely breathing. He looks over at Derek then the creature "Fight me!" he nodded "with pleasure" he disrobes himself exposing a mew with a mask. "Let's see what the strongest bug type can do!" Comet looked forward and noticed the mask. "This isn't going to be a normal fight"
"Pokesona!" Comet heard from the Mew as a Alolan Raichu ghost-like thing appeared "Ah!" the Mew pointed to him. "Thunder!" Comet barely dodged. "Light Screen" it was set up "Reflect!" it was set up. "Kylee" a Lucario ghost-like thing appeared "Brick break!" it shattered the light screen and reflect causing him to fly back. "This is not normal at all!" the Mew smirked "Very few pokemon can do this" he summons Kylee again. "Protect!" Comet protected himself against the Lucario's move. "Come on this is disappointing" Comet shook his head "this fight isn't even fair!" Nike was looking down from the stands. "Comet can handle this" he just keeps staring.
Comet goes in quick "comet punch!" The Mew dodged it and Comet looked up and the Mew slammed Comet into the ground. Comet backed up "Silver Wind!" The Mew got blown back but stopped before slammed into the wall. Comet felt stronger and faster "Aw yeah got the stat boost!" he looked at the Mew "Swords dance!" Comet powered up. "Ethan!" he summoned the alolan raichu again. "Thunder!" Comet barely dodged again. "Swords dance!" Comet powered up again. Nike looked at him "If he is doing comet punch next that would deal a lot" A Mightyena looked at him. "If it hits"
Nike turned and saw nothing "Must be hiding" he turns back looking at the fight. "Swords dance!" Comet powered up another time. "Kylee!" he summoned her "Power-up punch!" He took little damage. He closed his eyes then opened them "Comet punch!" He punched him into a wall, then he came in quick throwing a second, then a third, then a fourth, then before the last one hit he threw the mew into the air and came speeding down at him and punched him into the ground for the fifth one. He disappeared into a puff of smoke "It was a subsitute!" he turns to see the Mew right in front of him. "It took only your last punch" he smacked Comet into the air. "ETHAN!" the sky turned blacked. "THUNDER!" Comet saw the thunder come down slowly. He knew he couldn't dodge it he had little energy to begin with.
It landed and decimated Comet making him land on the ground smoke coming off of him. He slowly began to rise "I....I'm not done yet you...bastard..." The Mew looked at him "Let's see what you got" He got up "Silver wind!" it hit and he got powered up again. "I'm not holding back!" he turned from red to gold. "SHINY POWER!" Nike looked at him surprised "I forgot turning shiny increases all your stats for as long as you last in that form" he Double teamed "Aerial Ace!" he strikes the Mew then backs away. "HYPER BEAM!" he charged and shot. "IS HE INSANE?!" Nike sat up shouting as Derek slowly begin to get up seeing this. The Mew smirked "protect" he got shielded but no one saw it as he got enveloped by the beam.
Comet went back to normal color panting "I...think...it...worked...." he saw the mew used protect. "That...bastard..." The Mew smirked "Giga Impact" he smacked into Comet as Comet fainted and the Mew teleported away. The pokemon in the crowd were silent as Nike jumped down and Derek started floating over. "That bastard was waiting for full power" Nike said looking at Derek. "We know it was a real Mew and that even Shiny form won't do anything" Nike picked up Comet and left with Derek. He set him down in a bed "Hmm this Mew is dangerous we really need a team to beat this bastard" Nike said as he started pacing, Derek slowly stood up. "Derek you are injured you shouldn't be moving" Derek smirked. "Like pacing around will get us our fighters?" he started walking then passed out laughing.
Nike sighs "Okay then" he lays Derek back down on the chair and leaves the gym looking around. "That Mew is dangerous we need more people" he stops by Kangaskhan's shop. "Hey Nike what have you been doing?" He sits in front of her. "Comet got destroyed by a Mew so did Derek" she gasps. "That is horrible! You need a team lemme at em" he sighs. "Sorry but I can't risk you" she smiles "I wish I could help but may I suggest looking in the forest from time to time? You could find someone useful" he nodded and started his search in the forest.
