Ambition
#4 of Poetry
A slightly edited version to be PG. I think you can figure out where. Written 2016.
What do I want?
Do I want the perfect job, a happy family, a pretty little house with a picket fence, two point something children and a dog all made of plastic?
What do I want?
A flashy car, safe as a tank that can drive itself two hundred miles an hour, but never above sixty or stopping for gas?
What do I want?
A super size grande lettuce, pickles, onion, special sauce on a sesame seed bun with flame broiled patties, eleven herbs and spices and a cheese stuffed crust?
What do I want?
I want you, more than anything else. I want to rock your body; I wanna hug you like an animal, do it like they do on the Discovery Channel, I'll do anything for love, but I won't do that.
What do I want?
A million dollars, laser guided sharks, a dozen pizzas, a helicopter to the coast, a presidential pardon, and a side of fries with no salt.
What do I want?
World peace, cure to cancer, abolish death, feed the hungry, end hate, swallow fear, balance the budget, save the children
What do I want?
I've got the world at my knees, begging darling please, anything you need, just say the word. What do you want?
What do I want?
I want to be alone. I want a hug. I'm crowded. I'm lonely. Gimme silence; make it loud. Excite me; abide me. Free me, protect me. Tell me.
What do I want?
I want everything. I want nothing.
What do I want?
I want to feel. I want to hope. I want to love. I want to live. I want to be. I want to be wanted. I want to know.
What do I want?
