During that time, Hazard and Panja were on their way to Burgstein University to help Sasuga. They were riding Panja's motorcycle, with the white lion going at top speed while Hazard rode on the back seat.

"Take the left turn, then go through that ally, it'll save us time," Hazard instructed Panja as they zoomed through a busy street.

"Gotcha!" Panja replied. They drove through a street cross and into an alley to pass through a whole block.

However, as they pressed through, sharp dart hit the front of Panja's bike, steering it off course. "The fuck!? Hang on, Haz!" Panja griped and managed to seize control of his bike, avoiding falling the both of them off and bringing the bike to a halt.

"Whew, damn, good save, Panja..." Hazard breathed out.

"Where the hell did that came from?" Panja wondered and looked around him for whomever responsible for that shot.

"Sorry guys, that was me," a voice spoke above of them and they quickly looked up, seeing someone standing on one building's fire escape ladders. It was Jale, staring down at the both of them with a smile across his black beak, twiddling one of his feathery throwing-knife darts between his fingers.

"Is that one of the guys that attacked you, Haz?" Panja asked the wolf.

"Yeah," Hazard answered as he got off of the bike. "You go on ahead, Panja. Leave this to me."

"But..."

"They're trying to slow us down. Every second we waste is one second closer to Sasuga's death. You have to prevent that from happening," the golden wolf said.

"Right. You can count on me!" Panja understood and pressed on the accelerator to the max, driving off and pressing on without Hazard.

Jale let Panja go and oddly didn't do anything to stop him. "I guess that leaves the two of us, then," the raven said, his eyes fixated at Hazard.

"Remind me..." Hazard was saying as he unwrapped the cover from his sword. "...what was your name again?"

"Jale. Jale Cross," the black-feathered raven casually answered him.

"Well, Jale, I hope you had an enjoyable long life," Hazard continued, pulling off the sheath from his sword's blade, as it gleamed from a hard night-long of enhancing it. "Because it ends here."
