Back at Burgstein University, Sasuga decided to take a break between classes, and wanted to make it up for ditching Kyle the day before, so she treated him for a nice meal at the cafeteria, which Kyle gladly agreed to. They found a nice spot for two there and ordered their favorite sandwiches and soft drinks and sat down together, enjoying a little chat.
"So, hey, I wanted ask you, Kyle, what do you want to do once you finish studying here?" Sasuga casually asked the cat.
"Mmm, well," Kyle swallowed a bite of his meatballs sandwich before he began. "I always dreamed about working in the animation industry. You know, like cartoon and stuff."
"Really? That's very cool!"
"Hehe, yeah, I think so too. It'd be pretty awesome if I would make my own animation series, or even a movie! So far, the only thing I can make are simply flash animation, but I hope I can learn more and do real, professional hand drawn stuff!" Kyle keenly expressed.
"That's very impressive, Kyle. And since you can do flash animation, maybe you could start off an online webtoon!" Sasuga suggested excitedly.
"Hmm, maybe... but there already are tons of those in the internet. It'd be hard to stand out."
"Well, you just need a good idea and good characters, and if it's popular enough, you might get recognized more easily and move on to the professional stuff."
"Hey, that's not a bad idea! I might just do that! Thanks, Sas!" Kyle elatedly said.
"You're welcome. It's great that you have a dream to aim for, don't give up on it!" Sasuga encouragingly cheered him on.
"What about you, Sas? What're you gonna do when you finish your schooling here?" Kyle then asked the kirin back.
"Oh, I want to..." she was in the middle of answering him when she was rudely interrupted by the haughty collie and her company.
"Will you all look at that? Someone calls the geeks-squad, there's a nerd convention in the campus," Kathrine sneered mockingly, getting a few laughs from her posse. Sasuga groaned silently; she was hoping the day would pass without having to meet Katherine, but it looked like that wouldn't happen.
"That's it Katherine! I've had enough of your shit! Why can't you just leave us the hell alone?!" Kyle hissed crossly at the collie, pounding his paws on the cafeteria table as he got off of his seat.
"Ooohhh, the little puss is getting all pissy? How scary! Didn't I tell you to keep your distance from that skank, anyway?" Katherine scoffed.
"That's none of your fucking business!"
"Kyle, just ignore her. She's just jealous," Sasuga then spoke.
"What... did you say?" Katherine muttered, one eye twitching tensely.
"What? Is your curly hairdo too thick you can't hear me well? I said that you're jealous. You're nothing but a bitter bitch that likes to pick on others to make yourself feel better, because you're jealous of them," Sasuga bluntly confronted Katherine; much to her and everyone nearby's astonishment.
"Are you trippin', scaleface? As if I would be jealous of you!" Katherine retorted snappily. "What could I, pray tell, be jealous about?"
"You're jealous of Kyle, because he's much younger than you are, yet he's accomplishing much better and faster than you. And you're jealous of me, because even though I may not be as attractive or popular as you are, the fact that I can attract hot guys more than you can dream of just eats you up like a nasty itch you can't reach," Sasuga continued to smack talk the stunned collie, leaving her utterly speechless, most likely because she slammed the nail right on the head. Even young Kyle was totally overtaken by what Sasuga did; he didn't think she had it in her, but he was very pleased none the less and couldn't hold back a big grin on his face as he watched Katherine's mortified expression.
"Ka-Kathy?" one her companions timidly muttered after a few moments of awkward silence passed.
"You... You... You FUCKING cunt! How dare you!? I'll show you who's jealous, you big whore!" Katherine cried out in rage and lifted her hand at Sasuga's face, aiming to slap her, but the kirin reacted quickly and grabbed her swung hand by the wrist. And right then, something totally unexpected happened. Katherine broke into a loud shriek of pain, her whole body jolting up intensely, as if being electrocuted. Sasuga gasped and let go of Katherine's arm and that when the collie stopped her spasm and dropped to the floor like a log, completely unconscious.
"Oh my God! Kathy!" Katherine's two friends collectively cried and crouched down to check on her, shaking her up slight and calling out her name, but she wasn't responding, her eyes dilated. "What the hell did you do to her, you freak!?"
"I... I didn't... I didn't do anything... I swear!" Sasuga muttered dreadfully, looking at her own shivering hands and noticing a little spark coursing over her palm. Everyone in the cafeteria had their eyes on the scene, slowly gathering around the fallen Katherine and wondering what was going on.
"It's Sasuga! She shocked her with something!" one of Katherine's friends, the white mouse, yelled out.
"Yeah, yeah! I saw it too! Someone please call help!" the other followed, begging for help, and making everyone around stare at the kirin suspiciously.
"N-No! I didn't do anything! I just grabbed her arm!" Sasuga tried to explain, but she found a hard time sounding convincing when everyone's eyes were saying she was responsible. Even Kyle couldn't speak up, looking at Sasuga in the wary same way. She didn't know what do, and just wanted to get away from all of this, as she sprinted out and pushed her way through the crowd.
"Sa-Sas! Wait!" Kyle called out for her, but he was too late. She was already gone.
