Chapter 3: Well Helloooooooo.

If ever asked to describe what the first few days after leaving Earth were like, Jaden would have told them that it was all just one big blur. After being shown to their living quarters and given time to unpack their single bag, the humans were began their real training. Not to fly shuttles or analyze some spacial anomaly; survival training.

First was evacuation training. They were paired off, scattered throughout the ship and had to make their way to the escape pods within 2 minutes. This lasted for about 4 hours before everyone was able to get it down to the second officer's satisfaction. Considering that everyone was still wearing their helmets, it became rather difficult towards end when all the faceplates began to fog up.

The next two days involved gravity malfunctions and decompression recovery. The docking bay was completely evacuated of air and the gravity-plating turned off and twenty of the humans plus one instructor had rescue the "victim" before he or she floated out the large cargo doors. Fortunately, by the time it was over, there had been only one situation where the actual rescue team had to be mobilized.

"I really do apologize." Said Walter over the comm system while Jaden was being escorted back inside the ship. "I really thought you would have secured the recovery webbing by the time that I hit the retrieval button. The next time I'll give you a few extra seconds."

Jaden rolled his eyes and was about to tell the man where he could shove his apology when a large hand clasped his shoulder. Turning, he saw Lieutenant Commander Breyson...smiling? It was hard to tell with the way the lights reflected off the stallions oval-shaped helmet. "You did not panic when you were pulled into space. You did very well for someone so new to this environment."

His voice was deep and thick; the type that easily be heard in a crowded room. They held each other's gaze for a moment but before Jaden could even think to respond with a "thanks" or "it was nothing", the second officer moved off. Settling down near a control panel, he set about bringing the bay's environment back to standard.

"You know, I think he likes you." Whispered a rather high-spirited Ke'suma (fox). But another deep voice sounded by Jaden could think of a response. "Do not tease him, little Rais." Said a colossal Bovalmus (cow...er, bull). "The commander is just glad that we were able to recover him without fail; as we all are. Come, Rais, I need you."

Jaden watched as the two males headed toward the bay exit. They seemed to be very good friends, almost..."Nah!" Jaden blurted out as he stored his gear and made his way to his quarters for some much needed downtime. The next couple of days were supposed to be very interesting.

Jaden yawned deeply and not for the first time that day. It wasn't that organizing all the medical equipment on all the bio-beds was boring but he couldn't help it. It was his living arrangement, thats what it came down to. He liked his roommate, Chief Science Officer Corri, but they didn't really mesh well. The tan cat had the oddest sleeping habits; he'd sleep for an hour, get up to stretch and leave their small quarters then run to repeat the processes. To make matters worse, in order to get to the he'd crawl over the young humans inflated bed, waking Jaden in the process. What moron thought that they could actually share the same-

"Crewmen Quinn, are you listening?"

Jaden visibly jump at the realization that he had again zoned out and nearly fallen asleep. "Yes sir! Er...I mean, Yes doctor. Sorry, I've had a rough couple of nights; my roommate and I aren't working out very well."

Dr. Sen, an old and grumpy (in Jaden's opinion) otter, scoffed. "Impossible. I was the one who selected who you would be living with based on what I've inferred from your planet's culture and your own personality profile. You're a perfect match. Oh will you look at this?" The doctor said, inspecting Jaden's work. "You've got the surgical equipment mixed in with the anti-viral meds. What am I going to do? Cure a fever by removing someone's brain? Do you remember nothing from the R.E.L. treatment?"

Jaden sighed, suppressing a yawn. R.E.L. (Rapid Eye Learning) was probably one of the coolest pieces of technology he had experienced since joining the crew. Essentially someone would sit in a chair while a focused light "downloaded" various skills and knowledge into his or hers brain. It couldn't handle large amounts of info. One couldn't just use it for an hour and become a doctor. But maybe you could learn enough to be an assistant or even a field medic. Plus most of the knowledge was stored on an subconscious level so you'd still have to train before you perform at a 100%.

This is all assuming that you actually retained the information, of course. You see in addition to the biological aspects of downloading something into a brain, there is also a mental component to make it work. You have to like and want to utilize the abilities you've been giving. Or they'll end up being like your high school calculus skills; a faded, shadow of a memory. And after 2 days of being observed by Dr. Sen, Jaden really didn't want to be a medic. He just had to hold out one more day and he'd get another R.E.L. Treatment that will let him try some other job on the ship.

As the good doctor was about to tell him NOT to bother reporting to work tomorrow, the sickbay's comms went off. "Accident in Main Cargo bay. Medical Team Requested. Repeat: Accident in Main..."

Before the computer had even finished its second repetition, every doctor, nurse, and aide jumped into action. The biobeds were brought on-line and people took their preassigned stations; ready for the worse.

A few minutes later two casualties arrived on stretchers.

"What do we have? What happened?" Demanded Dr. Sen.

"A grav-sled malfunctioned and collided with some stacked containers and the one on the very top fell." Answered a medic as his helped transfer one of the injured from the stretcher to a diagnostic table. "If Commander Breyson hadn't been there to push these two out of the way, we'd have dead and dying not cuts and bruises."

"And where is that giant?" The diminutive otter asked.

"Oh he's on his way. He didn't want to take one of the stretchers." And the medic moved off.

"Monolithic moron." Sen murmured before turning to his first patient.

"Speaking of someone I know?" Came a very familiar voice near the med-bay's entrance. Jaden turned and saw the stallion limping towards them with a knowing smile on his face (muzzle?...mouth?).

The doctor either didn't hear the second officer's question or chose to ignore it. "There you are. Just had to be the big herd leader and walk all the way here. You'll probably end up keeping that limp. You!" He directed his wrath toward Jaden. "Help him up onto a bed and I'll see what mess I have to clean up."

It wasn't all that bad considering that the Lieutenant Commander had been pinned underneath a cargo container. The medical monitor showed that other than a fractured bone in his leg and a few broken ribs, he was in perfect health.

"You're lucky that your more brawn than brains, most of the people on this bucket wouldn't have been so fortunate." Dr. Sen said as he filled a syringe with a clear fluid. "I'm injecting you with some more nano-probes. They'll accelerate the healing though expect it to be painful; and you will have to stay immobile so you'll be off your feet for at least 2 days." Taking a computer-PAD, the otter taped a few symbols and handed it to Jaden. "Crewmen Quinn take this to the captain. It's a status report on all the injuries; he'll be calling down for it any minute. Then come back here, get a chair and take him back to his quarters. Get his uniform off and apply an immobilizing sheath between," he pointed at the visual representation on the screen. "here and here."

"I don't really need any-" Breyson began.

"Oh shut-up." The chief medical officer snapped. "Stopping trying to be the tough-male and do as I say for once!"

Jaden ran to down 2 corridors and up 4 levels to the Majestic Explorer's bridge; he then turned around and went down one level to where the bridge really was. When he arrived the first thing he noticed was how busy it was. People were moving around securing stations and double checking systems.

* _That's right, we're jumping to the next system today__ * The human thought as he walked toward the captain's chair. "Sir, here's a report from Dr. Sen about the injuries in the cargo-bay."_

Win'telsis Trovani took the PAD and looked it over. "Thank you crewmen." He glanced at up at the human, then back down and up again. "We're about to enter underspace. Why don't you take one of the empty stations near the helm and experience it up here."

"Th-thank you, Captain." Jaden answered and nearly knocked over a small Rawbbet (hey a name Jaden could remember).

"Just don't touch any of the controls." The captain called, giving the human a lingering look before turning back to his first officer.

The helm was an impressive piece of work. While it did have buttons and a flight-stick, these were only meant as a backup. It was the chair itself that controlled where the ship went. From the way it had been describe, it worked as a mental interface between the pilot and the propulsion system. Whoever was plugged in literally was the ship flying through space. Right now, Rais the fox from emergency rescue team was reclining in the seat. His eyes were closed but he was clearly awake and focused on moving the ship.

"Attention! All hands prepare for jump. Secure all loose equipment and steady yourselves."

"Rais is forming the jump portal, engines and thrusters are at standby." Called out some random bridge officer as Jaden strapped himself in. "Portal will open in 3, 2, 1!"

And just as "one" passed the An'mas' lips, Rais opened his eyes and looked directly at Jaden then whispered "Now."

There was a flash of white light and suddenly Jaden wasn't Jaden anymore; and yet he was. New memories flooded his mind, he had been on the Majestic for months now. He had traveled to several worlds already, forged close bonds with the people on board the ship; he couldn't bare the thought of going back to Earth. And there he was laying on a bed with Commander Breyson, his Brey, leaning over him. Jaden pulled the stallion into a kiss, enjoying the now familiar tongue entering his mouth and the feeling of the large member sliding in and out of his-

Another flash and the human found himself back on the bridge. He sat frozen, unable to process what the hell he had just experienced. He and Lieutenant Commander Breyson were...and then he...A furry hand flapped in front of his eyes and he blinked as he realized that Rais was speaking to him.

"Jaden? Are you clear of it yet?" The fox asked.

"I...what was that?" Jaden responded.

"Did you see something when we jumped? That happens sometimes when we cross into underspace; it causes you to space out for a few minutes. That's why we tell everyone to steady themselves." Rais explained. "The brains over in the science labs think there's a temporal disruption when the ship jumps. People recall reliving things they did in the past, others get a preview of the future. But most of the details fade after a bit of time and soon all you'll have are some vague recollections of being somewhere, doing something."

Jaden couldn't argue with that. Even as the fox spoke, most of he experienced began to fade away; like it had been nothing more than a dream. But the young man could swear that he could still taste the horse on his lips. This was going to happen in the future? "Have they always been accurate? Have any of the future visions turned out wrong?"

Rais's tail twitched a little as he thought. "Well that's a little hard to say. Since what people remember is little more than just a few seconds of random imagery how do we know if and when something is going to happen? I once saw myself standing in the middle of the dining facility with my uniform around my ankles and that hasn't happened yet."

The fox pulled Jaden to his feet and started walking him towards the bridges rear exit. "Look, good or bad you shouldn't focus on what might happen at some point in your future. Just focus on doing your job and take things as they go."

"Doing your job..." the human echoed. "Oh crap!" And he took off running toward the med-bay to where he found one pissed off otter waiting for him.

The trip to the second officer's quarters was a relatively quiet one. Occasionally someone would joke with Breyson about the dangers of fighting with a "vicious" cargo container and the big stallion would laugh and wave them off. From Jaden's perspective, the large stallion seemed to be on friendly terms with just about everyone. He didn't demand that subordinates stand at attention while speaking to him or any kind of salute; he treated everyone as if he were no different than any of them.

Jaden didn't speak one word to him as he pushed the heavy equine through the ship. What could he say? "Uh sir, are you doing anything in a few months? No? Well how about we grab a bite to eat and then we can go to your quarters and you can have your way with me?" Sure, just slip that in while your undressing him and binding his leg.

How could this be his future? He liked women, right? He had dated them, slept with them, and now he was destined to hook up with a male...a male alien...a male alien who's ancestor was a horse. Even now, being so close to the stallion caused his mind to flash images from the vision. The two of them wrapped in each others arms, the heat and earthy smell rolling off Breyson's body. Nope, not going to happen. That whole vision was just a dream brought on by a lack of sleep, being exposed to weird radiation, and...and being in a real life Disney movie complete with walking and talking animals.

"Ah crewmen?" The equines deep voice invaded Jaden's thoughts.

"Yes, sir?"

"You just pushed me past my quarters." Breyson said with a friendly tone.

"Oh sorry, Commander." Jaden skidded to a halt and pulled the wheelchair back.

The stallion placed his palm on the door sensor, the door slid open and the human suddenly had a strange sensation of déjà vu. The room wasn't much larger than the "closet" he now occupied with Corri, except the bed (a very familiar looking bed) was larger to accommodate the second officer's bigger frame. Being second officer, you'd think he'd rate something nice; at least a private bathroom and shower or something.

Jaden helped the horse out of the chair as best he could, the guy was freaking heavy, and set him down on the bed. "You don't need to help me undress. I can do it mys-ah!" He had tried to lift his arms but his injuries prevented stopped him.

"Here, let me or Dr. Sen will probably torture me." Placing his arms around the second officer's neck, Jaden pressed the small tab on the uniform's collar and began to pull it off the horse's body. Though covered in hair, the stallion's muscles were obvious. It looked as though, had Breyson not been injured, he could lift the 160 pound human of his head with one hand. Once his arms were free, the stallion placed them on either side of his body and lifted himself off the bed. And as Jaden pulled the tight material past his hips he got his a shock. Underneath the An'Mas spacesuit was little more than a gray thong, containing a massive package. If he wasn't well endowed, he was certainly fertile. Moving quickly Jaden freed one leg and then the carefully did the injured one; all the while trying to keep his eyes off bulge sitting directly in front of his face.

Once Jaden got the suit off he quickly started wrapping the immobilizing material around the area where fracture was located...at least until he noticed that Breyson was still lifting his hips off the bed. The human looked up and found those deep, dark eyes looking back at him. There was no expression on the big stallion's face. He appeared to be waiting, testing to see what Jaden would do.

Slowly, the crewmen placed his hands on the second officer's waist, grasped the stringy material. He pulled the thong down Breyon's beefy thighs, revealing a sheath and an enormous set of balls tucked tightly between his legs.

* _My god, they're like apples. How does he walk without harming himself?__ * He thought as slipped the now flimsy material off and dropped it._

"You can hold them if you like." Said Breyson, finally sitting back down on the bed.

"Huh?"

"You can hold them. I know you want to; I can smell your arousal." And the big male took one of Jaden's hands and started to move it toward his crotch.

Jaden could see the sheath beginning to stir and just a bit of horse flesh began to emerge. Why wasn't he stopping this? Jaden wondered to himself. If he was so sure that he wasn't remotely attracted to males then why didn't he just pull his hand away, leave and pretend none of this had happened? But he stayed right there on his knees with his hand about to cup those oval shaped orbs and...

"Crewmen Quinn!" Squawked his wrist comm. And the human literally jumped to his feet. "Where in the nine circles of hell are you? We've still got to injured personnel who need to be taken to their quarters-"

Jaden slapped the comm device, yelled that he was on his way back and backed out of the room. The last thing he saw before the doors automatically closed was Commander Breyson's cock, limp but fully unsheathed. It hung over the edge of the bed and was still growing. That and those eyes; it was like the stallion was expecting the human to say that he'd be right back.

_ *I can't believe I almost...* _ Jaden paused in the deserted corridor to catch his breath and calm his rapidly beating heart. But he shook himself and started walking again, refusing to acknowledge the erection traveling down his pant leg.
